602  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Getting ATI card to work, windows 7 64-bit on: May 14, 2011, 12:57:27 AM
With this card you are way beyond ufasoft miner.
Remove all the drivers you installed.
Download ATI catalyst suite http://www2.ati.com/drivers/11-5_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe
Then download phoenix miner https://www.bitcoin.org/smf/index.php?topic=6458.0
and you should be all set to go. If you want to overclock/underclock your card, download MSI afterburner http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

Donations welcome  Wink

You can expect >400Mh/s

Thanks. I am looking for something that has the capacity for 3 cards

I'm running 3 5870s off a 700 W PSU with an Intel E6400. At the wall I'm drawing 670 Watts, so I'm close to the limit, if not over it. I was drawing 280 Watts with one 5870, so each card is approx 185 Watts. I'm using a Coolermaster 700W Silent Pro, which is 80+ Gold certified and only cost £79 inc P&P in the UK.

keybaud may I ask what motherboard you are using?

609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis on: May 13, 2011, 08:26:24 PM
I'm no expert in these matters, but IMO it's very simple. The only time Bitcoin dropped in value was when Mtgox was DDoSed. All the other fluctuations correlate with articles in press and other exposure to the masses or lack thereof. I think the value will be increasing for a long time to come as long as there is a steady influx of new users

I have a suzuki gsxr1000 k6. It's after an accident and would need to be repaired before you can ride it. It's been gathering dust for a couple of years now - I don't have the time to fix or ride it. It had ~8500miles on the clock.

This is what it looked like:
616  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin is not used as money anymore on: May 13, 2011, 03:06:35 PM
The value of the BTC is rapidly changing over the past months, as extreme market growth and adoption have skyrocketed price. Venture Capitalists are coming from big name places after hearing about BTC from Forbes, CNN, etc etc. When prices stabilize more, it will naturally start to trade again. People can't keep adjusting prices when the BTC value is so incredibly volatile.

They don't have to. This thread is one example of that https://www.bitcoin.org/smf/index.php?topic=6128.0

I just bought a 5870 for bitcoins  Smiley This keeps getting better
