Make it provably fair please.
6142  Economy / Securities / Re: Official Newbie Exchange-Spot Investment Support Exchange.ESIF ESIF ESBM on: March 14, 2013, 04:14:55 AM
You're not doing this right - you need to pick a nickname that has some nefarious connection in them. I'd suggest vikingat40.
6143  Other / Meta / Re: Gmail spam-blocking forum mail? on: March 14, 2013, 04:11:45 AM
Hmm, PIA probably had something to do with this. Bitcointalk emails still come to my inbox (not spam filtered). If this problem affects a lot of users it might be worthwhile to pay for Amazon SES or a similar service.
6144  Economy / Lending / Re: 2.3 BTC loan request - Every little helps. on: March 13, 2013, 11:50:20 AM
Nope, that's empty - created purely for my sig.
Cool! Do you mind sharing your experiences in purchasing the 2.3 btc? I'd like to hear about what site you used and how their service / fees are.

Reputation loan? MtGox USD? Really?
6146  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCTC][[ASICMINER-PT]] - Public trading of ASICMINER shares on: March 13, 2013, 10:53:10 AM
I'm debating on if I should buy the asicminer shares on btct.co or bitfunder. I would like to transfer the shares to direct with friedcat through, it's not specified in the contract but will you do it?
6147  Economy / Gambling / Re: What Sites/Programs have you made most Bitcoins from? on: March 13, 2013, 10:47:43 AM
TradeFortress - SatoshiDICE - (-144.68 BTC) - a few months
6148  Economy / Lending / Re: :: Looking for loans? Over 20 bitcoins available! Updated & Low Interests! on: March 13, 2013, 05:48:04 AM
Alright, well I'll set his status back to "Pending" then.  When is the payback due date?  I'll revisit it then, if you don't mind me poking my head in here. If not, I'll just keep to myself.
It's due in a little more than a week. Let's see what happens.

Shall I go ahead and change his status back to Scammer?
Please do. I'm still trying to contact him, and I'll dox him after I have some fun with using his Microsoft badge/payslips as verification for a AMA on reddit Wink

6151  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] 1Broker.com - Trade forex (+BTC/USD), indices, stocks and commodities on: March 12, 2013, 08:47:00 AM
In other words, people were buying/selling a penny on gox and changing the price.
6152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITPARTNERS on: March 12, 2013, 08:35:22 AM

Sure, buy some shares of ASICMINER.
6153  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Does a Request for Comments (RFC) for the Bitcoin protocol exist? on: March 12, 2013, 07:59:48 AM
second point: start to use testnet extensive before you go on prodnet. create a public testnet environment with massive transaction volume to get a feeling what can happen on prodnet. this is very important. at the moment you use the prodnet as a test and you are surprised if something goes wrong. this is not acceptable and this is not professional.

Who is "you"?

This is an open source project. I dislike the "contribute or shut up" train of thought but everything has bugs and this one was well handled.
6154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITPARTNERS on: March 12, 2013, 07:56:53 AM
Per week!
6155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: mtgox hardfork rollback? on: March 12, 2013, 07:55:45 AM
I don't think there has being a rollback. Gox support can be horrifying, but at least they're still human and not an automated robot - contact support again.
6156  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying all BTC on: March 12, 2013, 07:54:59 AM
Buying all BTC $15/Each via PayPal

Skype: Mission.Tech if interested

Thank you!

You forgot to multiply 15 by 3. and then add some sort of premium.

You forgot people are dumping because of that glitch.

Hence why I made this thread
I don't see bitcoin at $15 here. In fact, it's $45 at time of posting.
6157  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Where does an empty-handed fellow go nowadays? on: March 12, 2013, 07:32:20 AM
Buy BTC that you can afford to lose. Hold them. If you can take a little bit of risk put them into a investment fund.
6158  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Hot Wallet server locked to only send BTC to your owned address's on: March 12, 2013, 07:25:26 AM
You could use multisig for additional security / verification servers, but there is no foolproof way to lock a wallet to only send BTC to certain addresses.
6159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In re Bitcoin Devs are idiots on: March 12, 2013, 07:24:38 AM
SOMEHOW? Private keys? They're all on your client and are never transferred anywhere else.

Read up on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Side_channel_attack ...
It's practically impossible for that to happen unless you have access to the hardware. In which case, your wallet is screwed.

Bitcoin does not transfer the private keys anywhere, you also do not know when someone is making a transaction, only when someone pushes a transaction.
6160  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Community Exchange with DRIP, YUBIKEY, GAUTH [HTTPS://BTCT.CO] on: March 12, 2013, 07:14:10 AM
You could just change the amount of confirmations required to those before the fork?
