I would just like to thank SatoshiDice for making me realize I have a severe gambling problem, even though I had only visited casinos (local indian casinos, not Vegas) a few times in my life. I would also like to thank them for the downpayment on a new house for my parents For how much? I've had good luck on Dice over the last few weeks. After tonight I think I'm going to call it quits while I'm in the green at ~700 BTC. Would hate to lose it all back. Put 500 BTC in 50%!

Will you ever offer new shares at lower prices than the IPO?
|
|
|
I didnt suggest to scam the shareholders, only to save the money and give it out as dividend later. I only know that there are people that fear 51% attacks regardless if it would make sense to attack or not. And i only wrote this to fight these fears because i trust friedcat and his team very much. He proved that they are trustworthy so i wouldnt fear any loss if he would handle it this way to circumvent the fear of some people. But ok, one could feel unease about this. Bitfountain most probably wont ever get to this point.
Suppressing information to create fake confidence isn't a good idea. We'll never get to that point through.

Min bid: At least 0.58 BTC / share and 0.01 BTC higher than the previous bid. Only bids for the whole batch are allowed.
This auction ends in 3 days from the last bid.
I have a reserve price. If the auction ends below my reserve price, then I have the right to not sell the shares.
Escrow is OK!

AM sort-of brokenly IPOd at .65, under my previous lower bound estimate (*) and has about 0 chances of ever significantly appreciating in price to compensate. A sad showing, but such is life. G.ASICMINER-PT ฿0 .74900000

My contract with Ian stipulates interest payments to begin in April. So its a little early to be panicking just yet.
+1, however doesn't charge a 5% late fee or something if you're late by over 5 days?

Thanks, trying out for my first coins Try buying, like one bitcoin at least

I was going to fund until I see it is denominated in only 5% return USD equivalent
Just curious where you got "5% return" Here is what the loan says: Amount @ Rate ฿50.00000 @ 1.0% MtGoxUSD 105% Secured Which is a 1% dollar on dollar return. So if you invest $100 worth of BTC you will get back $101 in BTC no matter what the price is. If the price doubles you get back only about 1/2 the BTC you loan out. Of course if the price dives and is 1/2 the price today you will get back twice as many BTC. As I said these kinds of loans are short BTC - you (as a lender) are betting that the price of BTC is going to go down. oh 1% over 90 days? thats horrible but what does secured mean? he secured with his own stash It means that the only risk in this case is that Btcjam goes out of business / scams. 4% apr is good given the risk, but sitting on bitcoin has being more profitable (even considering the risk).

I don't think coinabul will get scammer tagged - theymos probably does not consider the evidence here to be "clear".

AM is paying dividend on 200.000 shares only until the initial investment has been paid back....only then their own 200.00 shares will be paid dividend.... That point will be reached before April 1st.... But def before mid April.
Part of the mining profitability depends on if/when BFL starts shipping.... Then of course there is selling Asics and developing next gen chips....
The mining profitability depends on the network difficulty, to which BFL shipping will increase it.
|
|
|
Because there can be only one good investment in the entire world? As long as BFL does not significantly ship, ASICMINER will be earning a boatload from the coinbase.

Some really determined attackers there.. I'm guessing it's from SomethingAwful.

I asked about 2) before and it's that the coins are rounded, so you don't actually have 0.001 btc

It's been over 8 hours and two transactions had been made and won, but i got nothing in return. Is there something wrong with the script?
Most likely not. TX IDs? Did you use Bitcoin-Qt or Blockchain.info?

Please seed the pot with a hundred btc or so, so I can bet a bit more than $2.

I'm having an issue viewing the chart on any of the assets. After about 10 seconds the scale of the Y2 axis changes to be the same as Y1. It ends up scaling the line graph off the chart area. For assets with high trade volumes like G.SDICE it also causes the browser to become unresponsive for 20 seconds or so. Using Firefox 19.0.2 A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: https://bitfunder.com/assets/js/highstocks/highstock.js:8 Hope it helps. +1

BTCJAM was never a good platform for setting up dates / repayments.

It doesn't really matter, just means I need to de-issue all the unsold shares and then re-issue it.

Yeah, I feel a lot of people wouldn't want to get less BTC than they put in.

but also will be selling ASICS for "home" use in next months.
I hope that time wont come so fast because then the profits would move to single persons instead to the shareholders in a whole. Plus... who will be favored to get a unit? And i hope the prices for the asics will be really high. When i see avalon that is selling the unit for $1299 and this unit is earning this: Coins Dollars per Day ฿7.48 $321.97 per Week ฿52.39 $2,253.82 per Month ฿227.51 $9,788.01 Then thats an extremely stupid thing to sell it at this price i think. You create competition, earn less this way and would have made way more in one single week. I mean think about it... you sell something and could have done twice as much as you sell it for in one week. So you sold it for peanuts for a one time gain while you could have earned way way more over time. Only in one year a hundred times as much. So if the shareholders would be asked i would never say yes to such stupid prices. Plus you create competition that leads to less own miningearning. But at least that time wont come so soon. When people actually get their avalons, the difficulty will increase by so much that you shouldn't use that "calculator".
