621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM is irrelevant but the shills and desperate are still here on: July 18, 2015, 10:18:55 AM
It's so sad, but as a stand-out scamcoin, not surpirsing.

Poloniex surely set itself back by taking a chance on an unfinished coin (or instigating the hype via the "team")

I could be wrong, and when Midas is up and running, maybe it will be added to Gox.

You never know!

I do not get the problems you have?!
I suppose you use bitcoin which is itself unfinished in current beta version 0.11.0
and traded on every exchange but still you do not
seem to have problems using it ?! Wink

So what is your point here?!
Is Bitcoin a SCAM or not?
Is monero a scam (unfinished and traded on exchages)
Is NXT scam because is unfinished but is traded on exchanges?

Can you name a finished coin, (the one which has all features developed and
does not need more improvement now and will not need it in the future)?

623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help with api and excel on: June 29, 2015, 11:32:50 PM
I was thinking of going that route, though I don't think it would refresh the data in the .csv and I dont think I could get excel to pull that updated .csv either. I can get data from cryptsy into excel with no problem. As a work around I was able to import data from coinmarketcap for that specific coin. Thanks for the reply.

Sorry I have overlooked that you need refresh the data in the cell.
One possible solution to that issue is to set up that php script on a server and using it as a proxy.

What I mean is that you can write a VBA routine that calls the url of your php script on the server or local server
and retrieves the data in csv then parses the data and updates the cells.

To make it update the cells periodically you can set a timer interval in the VBA that will call your routine.

I think this should work even being  a trivial solution.

I found also a JSON parser for VBA which I haven't tested
https://github.com/VBA-tools/VBA-JSON

but if this works you don't need to to use the php proxy script to convert JSON to CSV
you could just try to get the data from the source website and use VBA-JSON to
convert the received data and then fill the cells.

I hope you manage something.
Have fun! Wink

Why don't you start OP by giving the community the private keys to your BTC wallet?

Commies not used to give anything what belongs to them to the community Smiley. They used to take yours and give it to their supporters.

That what you said here is true but this is not limited to commies or communism (which never existed in reality),
this is the rotten human nature.
As you can see when there is austerity to be implemented in system like capitalism
the 1st target are the common people (working class)
that are targeted by the political elite by rising taxes and the (supporters) of the political elite
(banking sector, multinational companies, military ) is not targeted but instead money taken from the working class
is given to them Wink

625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in NEM? on: June 28, 2015, 08:53:40 PM
Hello

Do not invest the money that you cannot afford to loose.
This is valid for any investment.

Do not put your all money into a single basket!
Diversify!

Regarding the project:
this is a long term project so if you invest do not expect big gains in short time.

If you are interested in NEM you can check the official forum here:
https://forum.ournem.com/

or get some more info from here:
http://nem.io/

I suggest that you make your own research from the links I have gave here
and then decide if is worth to invest because
nobody can tell what the future brings.

For any question there are members of NEM community willing to help
so if you have any please post in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654845.0

See ya.

626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help with api and excel on: June 28, 2015, 12:26:50 PM
I am trying to import the data from this bittrex public api call:
https://bittrex.com/api/v1.1/public/getticker?market=btc-hyper
into excel and having it refresh. I can save the .json file and have excel see it but it doesnt refresh.
I have tried using this https://github.com/Pathio/excel-json-client with excel-dna but it doesn't seem to work either. Any help will be appreciated.

Working with MS tech stuff is usually a big PITA.
In my opinion you could do it easer trough php by querying the API and convert the data into CSV format
that could be imported into excell or any other spreadsheet. This is if you do not require any automation
otherwise you will have to struggle with MS tech.

627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Timekoin on: June 04, 2015, 05:00:36 PM
Hello guiltmanager.

As you say most of altcoins are btc or ltc spinoffs but there are some other coins
developed from scratch like NEM, NXT, FIMK , HZ, BURST and  Cripty.
They all have a web wallet that works in browser.
You could try some of those that I have mentioned here.

Anyway is pity that timekoin is not actively developed any more.

Wink
Mislim da ćeš teško nać nekog ko će preko skrill-a trgovati!

629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new alt coin development? on: May 20, 2015, 06:08:45 PM
The strange thing is it's the old coins that have done well this week, not anything new.

Unfortunetelly this are only temporary pumps and dumps!
There is no real value behind this coins.
Even the inovative coins that have implemented something  new in their
algo are strugling because they have the technology but nothing from the
real world that is backing their value.

Is see the whole crypto comunity (technology) like a small island in middle of
paciffic ocean with next islands or lands thousand miles away and the people
on that island do not have ships neither planes to travel to that nearest island or land
but just small boats. One day they may reach the solid land but who know when this will occure.

The technology is here and is improoving every day
but the sad thing is nobody seems to need it or using it
right now.

So the main question is why nobody is using it?
Why nobody is needing it?
How do we make people use this for their own good?

what can cryopto coins offer that the FIAT can't if at the end people need
to convert back to FIAT to pay any service or buy any product
and even this few comapines that are accepting cryptos are then forced to dump
in FIAT to cover expensies and pay tax?! Sad

How to avoid this to happen?

Ah, I just remembered there is a web version too.  https://web.telegram.org/#/login

It would suck but a totally anon way to set it up is use a VPN with a US IP and set up a gmail account, then a google voice account, at which point I think you get a free phone number that you can use to register.  Or..... at least I think that is how it works.  No promises.

Can't we use fake numbers?! Smiley
Or does the system send you a code over SMS to be able to register?!
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 10, 2015, 10:03:42 AM
There is a 300BTC buy on the MGW for @ 33xx sats. I think we are being manipulated down so that can get filled.

Im sure it will rebound after that happens  Roll Eyes

About the MGW is there a web page or a service
where users could check the prices (trades) or is the necessary for
users to install some kind of application or NXT wallet ?!

Thanks.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: May 10, 2015, 09:59:40 AM

634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: May 09, 2015, 11:36:43 AM

1 NEM stake = 35500 NXT  is ridiculously low, given there are 1 billion Nxt and only 4000 nem stake, and even then most of those stakes are held by developers and co.

You aren't becoming millionaire anytime soon  in the next 20  years holding Nem.
There is no interest. No volume, and I don't see how that will change. The volume actually went down in first  month, and that trend will most likely continue until you are down to Qora level volume in six months.

So Eadeqa is all about this in your head?!
Becoming  a millionaire in fiat USD is all that matters to you Huh

635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: May 04, 2015, 12:20:15 AM

Okay, thanks for this. I didn't know that it's possible to find the account which owns the stakes. It also proofs that the 22 stakes were delievered. That's good.

Of course is all good.
Do not make panic for nothing!
Please have faith and little patience!
70 members are not involved in white paper writing but the core team is
and also the same team is distributing the rest of the stakes therefore the delay.

Also this list is a list of all people who helped with something until now they are not all always active 24/7
because they have also other obligations in their lives and they are mostly volunteers.

So people do not worry be happy!
Everything is gonna be all right sooner or later.

Thank you Wink
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: April 18, 2015, 11:06:28 AM

you should ask the question why people let her coins on exchanges!!

Because it is easier, and because people do not want install additional software, and also because an exchange can be accessed from everywhere.

That's why NEM would be a step forward to the others with a secure, easy constructed and accessible online wallet

Yes a kind of lite NCC version that does not require installation and does
signing in the browser would be needed.

I wonder if the current NCC can be modified so that it can be used like
a proxy to access any NIS without any security risk.

For example anybody could then runt NCC on vps and allow public access
to other users which could then access their funds from web or mobile without installing anything
and doing local signing so that the user that runs NCC cant access the funds of the users that access their
accounts i mean anybody could start their own "blockchain.info" then in few minutes Wink

This would be cool.

Thank you for the latest updates!
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AI Coin Development Diary on: April 16, 2015, 05:22:24 PM
So to avoid this legal shit there could be several solutions maybe

1) if you still want deal with FIAT then register a company in Panama, Belize or any similar state
2) organize a lottery sell lottery tickets and the winners will get pries in your crypto coin
3) best option would not have anything to do with FIAT money just
distribute the crypto coin to the people Wink

640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: April 07, 2015, 05:29:01 PM
Our current economic system is fraudulent, it's not really about money laundering,, it's really about making sure joe public can't earn money from his labours without Big brother getting a hefty slice of it.

+1

Yes this is the reason for KYC/AML shit!!!
Soon I will have to bring a sample of my pee or stool to the bank if I would
have to use any of their services!

They recently started to ask fucking questions like
if I'm politically active or where do my relatives live because according to the "law"
they need to update the data they have on me?!

WTF?!  Huh

The clerk gave me some papers to fill in my data and on that papers there
were written some shit about money laundering and terrorism.
I said to the clerk that if they want to get rid of terrorism
they need to seize all accounts belonging to political parties and politicians.
