621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: January 18, 2020, 04:36:40 AM
I personally prefer to hold bitcoin and ethereum. They are good coin and more potential to hold for long term.

i would still be holding Ripple (XRP) as it has an enormous potential growing x10 years from now. It can even surpass Etherium as its transactions were faster and its system can be applied in various transaction programs. It was even been adopted by Facebook for its digital payment feature, and can be seen having fast transactions with a very cheap fee.
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 18, 2020, 03:04:38 AM
That would be an easy win for Manny if the fight will be in boxing rules or easy win for Connor if that would be in the octagon. Both fighters have different fighting styles and stamina because of their sports. I think this match will be just for money, and the results will be too predictable.

Personally, I'm not a fan of this kind of fight, this is just for money, but the fight will be boring to watch because the results are pretty easy to predict.

Well, Manny went too weak recently for losing his winning streak. It is indeed an easy to predict as Boxing was already what made Manny Pacquiao him. Though Manny trained for years that fits Boxing, no one wins forever. McGregor is much flexible having intensive training in mixed martial arts. But recently, McGregor also challenged Maywesther that lead him to lose easily.

There's a 50-50 chance of both competitors to win. Trust would be a part of betting in this game
623  Other / Serious discussion / Re: The risk of investing in cryptocurrency on: January 16, 2020, 03:33:56 PM
The risk in crypto currency is still quite minimal, it may take more effect on greedy, less patient  and less sensitive people.
You need to study crypto currency very well read and browse as much as possible. Those who went ponzi of crypto currency with trading companies will face more risk if they are too greedy. They will keep promising their investors even when they could do nothing to the market price.

Though we are approaching an era of innovating technology, it is still possible that the crypto itself is a risk. How? Remember that the only thing that runs the cryptoccurency is the internet and its cloud. There are a lot of recent news of a possibility of having war (though had been on cooldown, we never know.), there are percentage that holds the possibility the whole wide internet would've been affected. And investing most or even a part of your money in it is like sending your money to the moon and only had access with it through mobile apps, in which the mobile apps is the internet and moon is the cloud, and without any of it, not a single penny would comeback onto your investments.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we overcome our gambling addiction! on: January 16, 2020, 03:11:54 PM
I just found out that he is now a jeepney barker in near in our city and he depends his life on it. Until now the interest from his house are getting higher. That is why you better control yourselves in gambling so you will not end up being in the same situation and our family currently helping him out.

Indeed i knew some families were broken because of parents having addicted to gambling too. But still, gambling in physical world is different from gambling in cryptocurrencies and digital world. It only takes a few step forward onto something that would seem to kill you as you approach changes. And it only requires self discipline.

That's a sad news btw. Had you even tried to seek him some help out?
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hottest alts of 2020 on: January 16, 2020, 05:38:53 AM
What do you think the hottest alts will be this year?

Very interested in getting strong opinions on this.

i would stick with focusing on atleast five altcoins, more specifically XRP (for its high chance of pumping this year), XMR (as its recent perfornance on the market is good), ETH ( as it was somehow stable for the past months), DOGECoin (You all know its a good one today), and DASH (as it was used for certain innovating systems). Those seems to be hot for me but its a personal choice whom I've trust for a long time.
626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read trading charts? on: January 16, 2020, 04:41:26 AM
Well, If you are beginner with trading. I would recommend you do start with "money management" learning and then you can start with reading "candlestick patterns".
Also for the basics you can read "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets book by John J. Murphy"
Wish you luck, but always remember to start with a demo account and don't burn your money for getting experienced.
You can do trades on demo accounts for 6 months at last and when you saw yourself getting good profits you can start by investing real money.

Yeah, it is all started with the basics and moves to another step. No one will succeed instantly and the sad thing is that it all accompanied by difficulties, losses and as well as being hopeless. Knowing how to read charts and candlestick is another skill. Not probably a must but if we would like to see the improvement of our trading journey and become more profitable it is better to acquire this thing.

you were both right. Yet, candlesticks are tough thing to read if you were just a beginner. One way to be atleast a good thing to begin with is to study the market itself, your chosen market to trade, in whatever the currency you want. Read news and predictions, have patience to study how your chosen market works, together with some brief history. Then watch youtube for other analyzing tips.
627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make big profits from exchanging bitcoin to altcoins on: January 15, 2020, 11:59:27 PM
I think you can always make big profits from Bitcoin. But that is not possible from Altcoin. If you want to get Bitcoin from Altcoin, it is possible for a group of people. There are many people who open their own groups and try to pump. In that case, most of the Queen is this scam.

Indeed. It doesn't seem that they are aware that we are aware. Groups are good but it doesn't mean it could give you huge profit. Even poor people can earn huge as long as he studies well and trains himself well that he even lets himself to full his space for improvement. Therefore, groups is just optional, in which this option already died few months ago, as many were scammed with ponzi schemes.
628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Full time trading is boring on: January 15, 2020, 11:31:52 PM
snip~
Professional traders are having more techniques in trading platform so they never think boring and everyone handle the emotions. But every investors are take risks because of future possibilities are hard to predict so some peoples are think like that. Experienced investors are survive all the time and calm for all the time.
Lack of patience, while trading is the only reason for people not getting enough profits and OP, has been involved in daily trading so he also has same issues, changing the trading style from day trading to mid or short term can be a good solution.

It wasn't just lack of patience i guess. Maybe he had lack of motivation and had no improvement. There are a lot of traders whom had been onto trading for years yet still not that bored. Simply because they love what they are doing and constantly studying about the changing market. Full-time trading must be fun as it was like an entrepreneur with his own business yet only on the digital world. Despite the fact that sitting alone on house while trading is indeed sad, there are a lot of solutions such as make friends and teach them how to trade. One example is Mr. Beast on youtube whom are also onto crypto with his friends and been full-time onto it.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we overcome our gambling addiction! on: January 15, 2020, 10:46:23 PM

Hard to overcome it when you are surrounded with gambling sites online. You are not born to have a gambling problem I'm sure anyone who has addiction to gambling will overcome it when he lost it all. With not money but still manages to sell things just to gamble will result an addict to jail time. I don't know if he can gamble inside still.

There are a lot of people whom have lost so many money in gambling yet still gambles, and that was what he called an addiction. Yet, gambling often seen as curable yet it somehow was not in a way that it requires the same rehabilitation as what drug addicts do. No one can say that they would stop gambling for their family or for him to buy something big. There would still be instances that he would gamble some or even a little just to fulfill his satisfaction.
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Altcoins not Growing These Days on: January 15, 2020, 12:41:25 PM
Well the reason that altcoins not grow is because there now is no interest for investors to buy and also a lot of people sell crypto for holidays and other just hold and not buy altcoins, most of people hold waiting for next bull run which possible happen this year.

indeed. Though there were so many investors that has interest. It wasn't enough to make an altcoin orbitcoin or the cryptocurrency market itself grow. There were a lot of panic sellers recently whom just made the market red while some prefer long term holding instead of constant trading. But still, there are also other factors to be blame such as scam projects and dumped coins, which somehow affected the whole market.

632  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Maharlika Money on: January 14, 2020, 03:57:00 AM

Ok sana ito kung itutuloy nalang nila as an ICO or token para maging useful online. Not to judge pero the way they think about pursuing yung pera nila is sobrang greedy at amok na amok matanggap na malaki ang value ng pera nila.
633  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to double capital in 2 months? on: January 13, 2020, 11:49:19 PM
I've been in trouble and now I have a lot of debt
Can I double my capital in two months because if I do not pay I will die or be imprisoned
Please help me I think I am a professional but I am nervous now I can not trade well  Huh

I believe with a bit of luck you can double your capital in a month or two, but there is no guarantee you can also lose all your capital. So, instead of relying on only one option why don't you try other means to solve your problems.

It wasn't luck that will help him succeed. It would be hardwork and patience he needs to somehow reach any amount in his tradings.

To be honest, it is ironic that you are a professional yet have a lot of debt. Never call yourself a professional if you cannot even handle finances and expenses properly. It is too impossible to double your capital if you are pressured and thinks of being imprisoned. Try to clear your mind first and start being what you've said PROFESSIONAL. Discipline yourself and never have debts to anyone with anything again. Better not depend on crypto alone, find a real work and do some part time also.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sources of income? on: January 13, 2020, 10:58:14 PM
My main source of income comes from my main job at the office, and for this market I only work part time with a signature campaign. In addition, I also use the idle amount to invest in a few altcoins in this market. The current market is very difficult to make a profit and the bounty is not really successful this year, if someone works full time with this market then surely they will be very difficult to make money

To be quite honest it is much better if you invest on stock market. Use a part of your income in you actual job and some would be your choices in crypto. The market wasn't that bad to make difficult profits and it is indeed that bounties are trashes right now as many people often make a good looking project that ends up being scams. Some altcoins are good right now and fluctuates just fine yet it depends on how well you are knowledgeable with trading.

The greatest choice to have income nowadays is still holding, as the market were still red yet soon will pump.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in multiple altcoins on: January 13, 2020, 09:27:18 PM
Ok guys so I have 500 CAD left to invest in altcoins, I decided to invest 3000 CAD in bitcoin and leave it like that. So for that 500 CAD (377 USD), please tell me if this makes sense. (I want to own a broad portfolio of multiple coins that have good odds for the future). All amounts are in USD for a total of $370. I'm open to suggestions.

50    Ethereum
50   Ripple
50   Binance Coin
30   Litecoin
20   Enjin
10   Iota
30   Cardano
20   Stellar Lumens
10   VeChain Thor
10   Pundi X
10   Basic Attention Token
10   Ontology
10   Zilliqua
30   Monero
?   Eos
10   Tron
?   Zcash
10   Icon
?   Chainlink
any other ?
10   Dash

It is actually a good separation and distribution of investments in multiple alts, yet can you even maintain your holdings or even trade those numerous amount of altcoins? I guess you must better start on a little number of altcoins and constantly trade it while studying those other's you're trying to invest, as some seems to be a good and promising coins yet still fails over and over again. But still, if you're just investing to hold it for a long time, it was better if you invest bigger on those better alts which has many predictions and a good history in the market.
636  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Bakit bagsak ang Ethereum?! on: January 13, 2020, 12:15:17 AM

637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy. on: January 12, 2020, 11:52:30 PM
forget about getting 2% i lost too much on first day. May be it is wise to change the strategy any way it always pays to try. Here are the results,
https://imgur.com/a/jPFMrKr
What do you think? You can just gamble and hoping that you will gain 2% every day? Cheesy

Your "strategy" isn't considered a "strategy at all. It is just pure speculation and pure luck. Yes gambling is a game of luck for most but having a legit strategy too can help you in some situations especially if you are losing. If you want to bet on sports, you must make a data analysis too. It would not guarantee you to win but it can help you since you have a basis already.

I guess he's just either unlucky or a lazy person whom never searched anything with those things he puts his money to bet which is just a mere temporary satisfaction that he might feel while betting it. He isn't trying to get 2% in a day, but instead have said lost 2% in a day.

The good strategy in betting is still studying. In example, would you bet on a team who's draft has no team work versus a team who's winning streaks and gameplays are awesome? It's a simple logic, but the studying must be focused if you really want to gain.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qatar Bans CryptoCurrency on: January 12, 2020, 11:16:25 PM
The Regulatory Authority shall impose penalties in accordance with its rights and obligations [...] in case of any violation of undertaking [...] activities that are not permitted in the QFC.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/qatar-financial-centre-puts-blanket-ban-on-cryptocurrency-businesses

That wasn't a final decision. They only ban it for business related transactions such as stalls whom accepts cryptocurrencies nor buys it, but not those whom uses it idly or a normal person here in the forum that has cryptoholdings and earn with trading it. Yet the big challenge for them is how will they manage if ever the law is finalized. But still, they only need to be calm and let their own government to study cryptocurrencies and its capabilities of making a economy grow, in which soon after those times of "until further notice" they'll realize that it's somehow a stupid idea banning it.
639  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Altcoins movement?! on: January 12, 2020, 10:53:11 PM
