621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 07, 2023, 12:36:58 AM

I think that is a good decision taken by Napoli. I believe they should keep him on the team. Actually they must have to give him playtime as much as they can, they have to utilize him properly. By doing this maybe other players also will be interested to come to their club if they find the club is performing better. It is really interesting what napoli is doing, they are trying their best to keep their players and instead of selling them, they are trying to improve their quality. They are just not trying to sell the players and get the money. They are genuinely going for trophies. That's what I like to see from a club.  And as the defending champion of the serie-a they must be serious about league games. I am interested to see if they can do better in the Champions League this time.
Indeed it was a good decision, if to aim for the title, so Napoli must be able to maintain what they achieved last season. Although I doubt it, because Spalletti isn't at there anymore but at least they kept their key players, so the opportunity to get a title is still open for them Sir. This new season will be the toughest challenge for Napoli with their new coach I mean Rudi Garcia, him must be consistent to get lots of points.

I doubt they will be able to repeat the success of last season, not because they have not kept their players of last season but because they will be fighting against much better teams this upcoming season.I don't think Juventus,Inter,Milan and Lazio or Roma will be playing this bad as they did this past season.Removing Spalletti is the wrongest move they could have done and replacing him with Rudi Garcia is even worse as Spalletti has had better successes in Serie A compared to Rudi Garcia so I don't know what Napoli is going to do this upcoming season.

Well, there is nothing wrong if they are somehow not able to defend for the title successfully. It would suffice if they could genuinely put up an enthralling battle for the championship, wouldn't it? But of course, they are definitely expected to do better. I will say that if they did not keep the players with whom they found success, they would have definitely had no chance.  But another thing is, with the players that did well in the last season, they will at least have a chance.

All in all they will have to be consistent. Yes, I agree that with the new authority it is not going to be easy to be consistent from the start, but they will definitely have to try. Because what other options do they have?
622  Other / Archival / Re: How to manage bitcoin correctly? on: August 06, 2023, 02:46:12 PM
When BTC reached $69000. I didn't choose to sell it. but the current price of Bitcoin dropped to less than $30000. Is it the most reasonable choice to sell BTC now and turn your attention to other investments? I hope to get some good suggestions. Although I have held BTC for many years. I am not good at management.
When the price of Bitcoin reached its peak, it was worth $69,000. But the price of Bitcoin has fallen again and again while turning from a bull market to a bear market. And when the Bitcoin market rose from that high, those who invested expected it to rise further and they expected to make a profit. But since you haven't sold that bitcoin investment over the years, it's definitely a good move for you. At the moment the price of bitcoin is $30000 dollars but we can expect that in the next year the price of bitcoin will definitely go to a better position. And since you're not interested in selling bitcoins, you hold onto them until the bull market hits you.
The mistake many will keep making is forgetting that the market will keep moving whether to the top or to the bottom. There is no guarantee that the price of Bitcoin will forever keep going bullish so we need to know when to sell and when to buy. This is one of the superiority Bitcoin traders have over those that are just investors. It is good for us to know how the Market moves so that we can always make a decision that will be beneficial to us nit blind decisions.

If op want to hold Bitcoin for one more year, that will be a good idea since it is very obvious that we shall be entering into the bull market soon so selling now will not make sense and suddenly the market went bull after selling his holdings.

If you have said that the market will keep moving whether up or down, then that means the opportunity to sell OP is still there. But I disagree when I say that traders will do better than investors at finding tops and bottoms. There are many factors that affect the price of bitcoin, technical analysis alone cannot determine which is the lowest price, which is the highest price. Bitcoin is unpredictable, and if traders are better, then why is the loss rate in the trading market higher than the loss rate of holders?

Any financial market will have only 2 bulls and bears, as long as we follow these basic principles and have specific buy and sell goals, we will never be afraid of losses.
623  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum for iOS on: August 06, 2023, 02:31:01 PM
I have used many wallets but am really convinced by the simplicity and full range of features that I need in Electrum. I have been using it for years now and hardly use any other wallet. But what makes me regret the most is that it still doesn't have an iOS version even though many years have passed. I still see them actively improving the new desktop versions, but I don't know why they still can't make any version for iOS, even a beta version. OP, I really support your idea. But as everyone said, you should contact them on GitHub rather than here as they are inactive here. I hope to see Electrum on the app store soon.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 06, 2023, 02:22:16 PM
Barcelona aren't a weak team of course. They are just in a phase to make significant changes. They are playing with many young talents now. This is good from a point of view that creativity is always going to be at a high level. But creativity isn't enough by itself as well. This team need more team to get more experienced in the Champions League.

I'm thinking of another thing which is if it would be better for Xavi to make some changes in his system as for Champions League matches. Because maybe it isn't all about the players to do better. Tiki-taka football still works in the La Liga very well.

But as for the Champions League I feel like this system might not be a good choice in big matches.

Barcelona indeed is not a weak team, but I have to admit that Barcelona performance is still not strong enough to be able to go further in the Champions League. Also, basically the Barcelona squad is not completely about young talent because Barcelona also has some senior players with old age. Thus, it is hoped that the senior players owned by Barcelona can have a good impact on the young players there. But still, when it comes to the Champions League at least I still don't believe Xavi can deliver a consistent performance for Barcelona in the Champions League.

Barcelona really made a decision to stick with La Liga in the last season. And they did very well in La Liga as well, becoming the champions.  But that was possible because in La Liga they had only 2/3 opponents who could give them big problems. And those teams also were not able to perform very well. Only barcelona was the team which was really consistent. Barcelona did not even worry about the Champions League. That's why they found success in the La Liga.

But if barcelona is thinking about concentrating only in the Champions League, I don’t think it is going to be a good idea.  Because the champions trophy is a lot more harder compared to the La Liga. So they might not win the Champions League and also failed to defend the La Liga title properly as well.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 06, 2023, 01:57:22 PM
I have seen some rumours such as Napoli got an offer worth 120m euros for Osimhen. And after that they raised their asking price to 500m euros quickly. It was a Saudi team that made the offer for him by the way. Maybe Napoli's action like this is special to Saudi teams. Because they weren't speculated to do the same thing against other European teams. The asking price was around 150m euros the most for those teams. But there isn't any interested team for him now.

PSG could have been a strong candidate but they went for Gonçalo Ramos. I guess that Real Madrid also find it too much to go for Osimhen.

As we expected, Osimhen will continue to play in Serie A because Napoli will try to hold it I mean Napoli will use the remaining 2 years of the contract before releasing Osimhen next season. It seems that Napoli are still ambitious to secure the Serie A title next season and hold some important players, this opportunity is open because so far there are no strong competitors in Serie A. Inter, Milan and Juventus did not do much this season including activities in the transfer window.

626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 06, 2023, 12:28:20 PM
Atletico Madrid are entering their last season with Simeone at least for now. It has been a journey of 12 years with him so far and they have won quite many titles with him in the past as well. It is like Simeone has had his whole career in Europe at Atletico Madrid if we don't count the short time period of being Catania's manager.

However it might really be coming to an end now. Because he can't meet the expectations in the recent times. Atletico Madrid's performance in the Champions League was really horrible last season. But especially the La Liga performance is the important point here. They couldn't become a part of the title race in the recent a couple of years. This squad is solid enough to keep consistency. Simeone will be expected to improve that the most.
12 years isn't short journey for Simeone that he has successfully to bringing Atletico Madrid to being an strong team in Laliga and for sure he did that without spending huge money to build the team because we all know Atletico Madrid isn't rich team however last time Simeone was extended his contract at 2021 and next season indeed could be his last year in this team because Simeone contract will be expired on June 2024 and last season Atletico Madrid didn't give him high target that they only targetting him champion league zone which mean if Simeone can able to acvieve that target then Atletico Madrid will give him contract extension and indeed until now there was no negotiation between him and Atletico Madrid about new contract but some people believe his position will be save and he will gets new contract soon

If they had transferred enough quality players to Simeone, they could have made the team champion again. Or he could have always finished high in the league. It's a bit about the fact that financial opportunities are not equal in every club. I think Simeone is a very successful coach. Besides, it is not easy to serve a club for so many years. They had their last contract in 2021. If the management is going to renew the contract that will expire next year, they should also allow the team to make a successful transfer during the transfer season.

If a football club management wants success, it has to make financial sacrifices. Yes, I admit that other teams have a lot of financial strength, but Atletico Madrid has shown before that they can compete with these teams.

I think his tactics were just unable to keep up with the modern times. Atletico Madrid is basically stuck in a standstill right now. They are just not improving. Of course 100% of the blame does not go to the coach. but in this case, the coach does have to take a lot of responsibility for this type of performance.

And I absolutely agree that the squad is not very bad. They can still do a very decent job. But without proper tactics, they are not going to be able to compete against the best of the best which is exactly what is happening right now with Atletico Madrid. I think a change of authority is going to bring necessary changes in the club which is eventually going to be positive. But Atletico Madrid better not downgrade like Chelsea did.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 05, 2023, 07:35:53 PM
Anybody noticed the T20 match going between Hungary and Croatia. Hungary have won the toss and decided to bat first. Team have scored 209/8 which is good score. Every player have contributed and the score have reached good. The schedule looks different that two T20 matches were played on the same day. As usual both the teams were also flooded with Asian cricketers, particularly Indians.
Hungary and Croatia are not very popular in cricket so people don't want to watch their cricket much and television and online sports broadcasting channels don't broadcast all these games.
HUN 209/8
CRO 64/10
Hungary Won by 145 runs.
Croatia's score also shows how popular the team is. It goes without saying that Croatia will lose today's match by a huge margin.
Yes but almost all the players of both teams are based in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and UAE. The cricket team of non popular countries is formed by the players of all these countries.

Hungary was able to win the match easily against Croatia. Hungary put on 209, which was honestly a big total for Croatia to chase down. And of course Hungary was able to win the match by a big difference. Croatia was all out for only 64. Which gave Hungary a big one of 145 runs. It was like Croatia was no match for Hungary. I am not a big follower of these teams. But that’s what I thought, looking at the score of this match.

And yes, I also agree that there is a problem with these type of teams, having too many Asian players in the squad.
628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 05, 2023, 05:31:09 PM

Real Madrid need to work things out up front before the new competition starts, they haven't found a quality striker after Benzema left. The negative results obtained in pre-season matches and the decreased number of goals scored by players operating on the front lines required Real Madrid to immediately improve in order to make up for these deficiencies.
If Real Madrid don't immediately solve the problem on the front lines, it will be difficult for them to compete with Barcelona who are increasingly solid on every. Barcelona strength has increased after successfully bringing in players who operate in positions left by players whose contracts expired last season.

Seriously, I was expecting Real Madrid to sign Mbbape or one smart striker that will replace Benzema before the next season starts, but currently, I don't think they have the intention to sign any new striker because they're not currently talking about bringing any striker before their domestic league starts. If we have to check their preseason performances, Real Madrid have nothing left except that striking power, because despite their efforts to play good football by always controlling the pitch in preseason games, their scoring abilities are seriously weak. Let's use the Juventus match as an example, where Real Madrid are almost eight short on target but are only able to score one goal, which is really a bad, weak front line. So with all the defeats in preseason, I expected Real Madrid to do something about signing a new striker.

I genuinely have no idea if there are some behind-the-scenes discussions going on about the main striker of Real Madrid or not. Because Real Madrid seriously need a genuine striker. I still have no idea if the Mbappé situation has actually progressed for Real Madrid. They are not even going after Harry Kane. I genuinely thought that they might go for Victor Osimhen. But that did not happen as well.

Joselu is not going to be enough. I don’t know what they are thinking. Of course, if they are just aiming for the La Liga title, they probably do not need a new and improved striker. But if they are aiming for the Champions League title, they really should get a very good striker.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 05, 2023, 05:05:55 PM
as officially confirmed today, Josko Gvardiol will move from german bundesliga club rb leipzig to reigning champions, fa cup and champions league winners manchester city for a base fee of over €90 million.
the 21-yo croatian center-back signed a contract until june 2028 and, as shown in the graphic below, he is now the most expensive defender in the world.

Players like Virgil, Hernandez, de Ligt, Dias and last Hakimi are all brilliant and excellent players, you need not defend them too much. But players like Harry Maguire, Cucurella and Fofana are all really bad player's but haven't done anything for them clubs to match them fee's. I'm wishing the Josko Gvardiol all of the best and very certain he will be a great defender sijce he's gonnne working with the best coach in the world.

Delighted to see the name of de Ligt appearing twice on that list. Infact he did a great job with Juventus and now he's doing excellently perfect with Bayern Munich else Thomas Tuchel would be around the Transfer window for a new defender though Kim min Jae was also signed this season by Bayern Munich.

Harry Maguire is the worst of them all on that list, he has no confidence but wants to retain the role of a a captain? Complete failure. I hope Manchester United comes to agreement with West Ham. He needs to leave Manchester United for good.

cygan,

This is a big transfer. They obviously wanted to spend so that they can make the defense of the team really good. I just hope that he does not flop.

I said that because Harry Maguire, who is the second biggest transfer ever in the history of defensive players, was a big disappointment. At only 21 years old, it is really incredible that he can fall off such money. Expectations are going to be really big from him. As in feet, he is the most expensive defender in the world right now.
630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: August 05, 2023, 04:20:46 PM
~Snip
I definitely agree with this. Despite the growing popularity of Bitcoin, not everyone is jumping on with the cryptocurrency trend because, to begin with, it is not made to please and encourage everyone. Some still remain skeptical about its long-term viability, which is okay. Whatever the reason, it's clear that not everyone is ready to embrace the digital future just yet.
Of course, not everyone agrees and will accept bitcoins as currency. Bitcoin is for everyone, but not everyone is for bitcoin. In fact we cannot deny that a large part of the crypto community on this forum also does not have bitcoins in their portfolio, while they tend to own altcoins regardless of the reason for having them.

The gradual growth in adoption may encourage people to use bitcoin as a means of payment, but I don't think bitcoin is a mainstream currency that will be adopted en masse around the world. I think bitcoin is an alternative currency worth considering, but as said bitcoin is not for everyone to pay for but bitcoin have become an investment asset to generate profits.

There will be people who find benefits in using or investing bitcoins, but there are also people who don't like risk to invest, don't care about privacy, they have no reason to accept bitcoin. God can't please everyone, bitcoin is no exception and that's normal. And you're right, this is a bitcoin forum, and it takes precedence over any shitcoins, but many people don't hold bitcoins, and they will choose shitcoins.

Even if bitcoin is supported and used by everyone, it is unlikely to become the main currency of the world. Since the government won't allow that to happen, they will never accept something they can't control, because that would make them lose control over us.

631  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: WARNING when using mobile device wallets (Android, iOS) on: August 05, 2023, 04:02:13 PM
Ideally, you should only use open source wallet apps which use their own virtual keyboard for entering seed phrases, where you can verify exactly what the keyboard is doing. Electrum is one such example. Even using the stock Android or Apple keyboard isn't completely safe. These stock apps are usually not open source and are so deeply embedded in the phone's firmware that it is near impossible to verify if anything suspicious is happening in the background. And neither Google nor Apple exactly have a great reputation when it comes to privacy, data harvesting, and spying on users/collecting data they promised they wouldn't.

I have a question, if we can't trust the stock Android or Apple keyboard, can we trust their operating system or hardware product? Because we are also using their phone or computer to install Electrum. I am using Iphone, and everytime I install 3rd party app, they ask me if I allow the app to track me or not. Maybe Apple is trying to protect their customers' privacy from 3rd parties, but when I download their apps I don't see any warning. I suspect that it is entirely possible that they secretly collect user data.
632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Procrastination, Buy Bitcoin And Prepare For The Next Halving. on: August 04, 2023, 05:49:16 AM

Yeah, but you are fighting with the hypothetical, because in this hypothetical the BTC price is already $80k and a newbie is coming to BTC and he is having to decide what to do at that time.  He cannot go back in history.

Another thing, is your presumption that BTC will dip merely because it gets to $80k.  That has not always been the case in BTC history, but still we cannot necessarily merely use BTC price history in order to make our decision about what to do.  We have to decide right at that time what to do, and we are new to bitcoin, we do not have any and we have to decide.

If you decide to wait for the dip, then you still don't have any BTC if the price does not end up dipping as you are suggesting that you expect it to do so.

I believe that eventually investment in Bitcoin will potentially yield significant returns, no matter at what price you buy it. However, the decision to invest in Bitcoin when prices are higher or wait for the potential dip is a personnel one. It completely depends on individual's financial situation, risk tolerance level and ability to continue  holding it until the bull season demands patonce. This aspect might play a crucial role in success of investment.

You are not wrong but it is not a wise investment. Let's say you buy bitcoin for $69k, then you need to wait at least 4 years (based on history) for another bull season to come and you will start making profits, but the gains will be negligible. But if you study hard, research and analyze before investing, you will have the opportunity to buy bitcoin for $ 20k or $ 30k, when the bull season comes you will get a much larger profit.

And to do that, it depends not only on your financial situation but largely on your knowledge of the market. If you study hard, you will have enough knowledge, you will know when is the best time to buy and hold, and you will calculate the risks you will face...

I also believe that the price of bitcoin will continue to increase very strongly in the future. However, we need to invest with a strategy and plan to get the most optimal return, do not invest blindly.
633  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: August 04, 2023, 04:52:35 AM
Following the news that FTX will restart the exchange, FTX recently sent a proposal to restart FTX.com (global) to international customers. And according to news reports, the plan will only be implemented if FTX's creditors agree. But the interesting thing is that they will restart their exchange for the international market, not including the US market.

I think their restarting the exchange is good news for their victims, because if they want to restart their business, they need to return the money to their victims.
https://www.coindesk.com/business/2023/08/01/ftx-plans-to-restart-crypto-exchange-for-international-customers/

Yes mate you are absolutely correct on this statement, for FTX.COM to restart their exchange they have to repay all those money they collected (defrud) from victim's, for FTX exchange to exclude US from their platform I strongly believe that they are planning to take their scam exchange to another level, SBF was arrested in  the US for his crime's and I believe that the US government has given him conditions to exclude US from his scam exchange. FTX has lost enough prospect in their platform because of the defrauding, so my conclusion is that FTX exchange will not have much investor like before because no body will like to make same mistake double times, it might only be those that didn't hear the incident about the platform they might only be the once to use the platform. Anyway let's watch out the part to of their reopening maybe it might be little different from the previous.

Meet Mr John Ray III the new CEO of FTX exchange

But I think this plan will be challenging to implement because according to the news some of the creditors of FTX do not agree with the intent to restart their exchange. According to the report, creditors want more control if the exchange is restarted, and they also expressed concern that FTX is paying too much for lawyers and advisors.

It's all just a plan and there hasn't been any formal negotiations between FTX and creditors, so the implementation won't be easy. These disagreements not only hindered the process of restarting the exchange but also slowed down the refund process for FTX victims.

634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 03, 2023, 06:58:10 PM
Brian Windhorst came out and said that no other teams outside of Miami have come forward to seriously make a trade offer for Damian Lillard. I’m not sure if it’s his contract, his age, or other teams are just trying to respect his wishes to end up in Miami, but it’s starting to look like Lillard might be a Trailblazer next season. I’m not sure how good that will be for his reputation if he’s disgruntled after being labeled as the most loyal player in the NBA.

Maybe they are also afraid that Lillard will not play with them since he release a statement that he only want to play on Miami. So maybe from this many team avoid him since they might lose a vital piece on their roster and Lillard is not fully committed on their team. Don't know if this trade plan will proceed since Blazers and its fans doesn't like the trade offer given by Miami so most likely we can still see Lillard wearing a Blazers uniform next season.

The kind of statement he made is powerful enough to make other teams, which he didn't choose, try to prevent him from getting there. However, it doesn't help the NBA overall, as players now seem to dictate, rather than acting as professionals and playing according to their contracts. Lillard should not have said it publicly; the negotiations between his team should have been handled confidentially. Now, if the deal with the Miami Heat doesn't succeed, can the Blazers still expect Lillard to give his best next season?

It is speculated that Lillard might not suit up with Portland and could sit up the rest of the season if he is not traded? Not sure how true this is, but if yes then it will hurt the Blazers for sure and maybe Lillard will have hefty fines from the NBA itself.

So his career is on the balance right now, yes he wants to move out and maybe Portland might have realized that it's time for them to change course as well. And it seems that is the case because they have sign Jeremy Grant for a $160 million contract extension for 5 years.

Sanitough,

Of course, the other teams are not going to try to get him on the team. Because of course the one not going to try to get a player who has already expressed his feelings to play for another team. Doesn’t matter how the trade comes along, it is not in the best interest of a team. But NBA is currently changing.  The players are realizing that they have a lot more to actually dictate on what’s going on. The players can also dictate the terms. And that is obviously not good for the NBA. Just envision a scenario where a player is contractually bound but actually not giving a fuck about that, actively attempting to join another team. This is going to be a huge problem if any actions are not taken to be honest.

also be aware I hit the show button alot, I just find it easier to block out the noise and let it in a little at a time if I feel like it.

well well well, I can see i'm in your list,
throwout the entire life earned almost 15 merits, I am probably the most miserable Merit Hunter ever, lol.

Anyway, since I'm here, let's talk about Bitcoin.

Volume is decreasing...
Price is rising..
Halving is next year..

636  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ~If you must trade~ on: August 03, 2023, 01:44:52 PM
I think emotion is the biggest enemy of trader, the biggest emotion is fear and Greed. You fear when the market at lowest point and greed when at the top of point.

you need control your emotion so you can manage your money when you are loses or dont overtrade when you made a profit.

Know when Stop Loss and know when take profit
In the same opinion, emotions are the biggest enemy of traders, emotions govern all decisions when we trade. So as long as we can manage and control our emotions, we can control the rest. It is easy to say but extremely difficult to do, it can be said that fear and greed are the two most difficult things to control for anyone.

I even outlined specific plans and goals, even writing them down and putting them on my desk. But when I started trading and saw my profits increase, it was almost impossible for me to control my greed. I failed in trading, it can be said largely due to my lack of control over my emotions.
637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are exchanges evading proof of reserves unsafe for users? on: August 03, 2023, 01:33:10 PM
This issue started since the exit of FTX and now we are talking about this again, Binance showed their financial capability and I think that can be a good relief to Binance users and other exchanges also did this. Well, the question is, is this enough to be called a safe exchange? Honestly anything can happen in an instant just look at FTX as an example, it is a top exchange before but look at what happened. If you don’t want to be on trouble and don’t want think about this from time to time, better not to hold big funds on any exchanges.

that is true, we can't get an absolute assurance from all these exchanges, whether they are at the top or not. but one thing you can safeguard your funds is get out your funds as soon as you finished trading. secure it in your own wallet where you have full control of your funds.
having proof of reserve of funds won't guarantee that they will rug pull or do something unexpected. they can easily give the wallet address having their funds but they have full control of such funds, so they can still do what they want to do with their vault money.

Even depositing money in a bank doesn't guarantee us, so it's risky to use centralized exchanges no matter how much proof they have in reserve or they're backed by anyone. But honestly, if you are a long-term holder, leaving your assets on exchanges is the dumbest thing to do. But if you are a trader, daily deposits and withdrawals are cumbersome and difficult to do. Trade does not always start and end during the day so it is difficult to withdraw at the end of the day, not to mention the fees we have to pay if we lose that day. Therefore, once we have accepted to be day traders, we should be aware of the risks of using centralized exchanges as well as other risks.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 31, 2023, 02:28:23 PM

I regret not having witnessed the documentary, hence my incapability to provide any commentary on if it is actually good or not. But I think every people in the world actually understand that to have a successful career even need to suffer first. Suffering actually gives life value. I know he is a good player, and I also have no doubt that he would have been a good player, regardless of him suffering or not in life. But he wouldn’t be able to become one of the worlds best if he had everything easy.
It's just a documentary because he won so many rings, not because he has a life worth watching. I mean he comes from a basketball family, even his brother is in the NBA and his father was as well, and his father was known for shooting too, so he basically showed them how to since they were very little. He worked hard on the road his father opened up, and things went well and he became a good player.

Sure he ended up being the greatest three pointer ever, but just because you achieved something, doesn't mean it would be entertaining to watch how. He worked hard, that's it, what are we gonna watch his training montage? What is this, rocky? I rather go back and watch Rocky series again instead. There is no entertainment value in his life, he just did all the right things and got it.

Well, I agree with you on one thing. Just because he is successful it does not mean that his story is going to be interesting. Of course he worked hard. And there is no reason to discredit that. Working hard is the hard part. There is a reason it is called 'hard work'. But I agree that hard work is not very interesting to see. What is interesting to see is actually the result after hard work. And I can certainly say that he has definitely worked really hard to achieve what he has so far.

And he did definitely win a lot of rings. He does have a lot of achievement in his life. But of course, there are some commercial movies like 'Rocky' as you said. Of course, this is nothing like that.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 31, 2023, 10:55:44 AM
After losing the second ODI match against West Indies, former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev said that India lost this match because of their pride. It means that India may not have given much importance to West Indies in the second match after winning the first match, which is why India did so badly in the second ODI match.

India did underestimate West Indies in my opinion. Otherwise there is literally no reason for India to be able to lose against West Indies. We have seen this thing happen countless times before as well. The stronger team underestimates the weaker, one and pays for it. This was unexpected. But it is also understandable why this happened.

Quote
India, who did poorly in the second match, will definitely do well in the third match as they are already under a lot of pressure after losing the second ODI match, so they will have to do a lot of planning before taking the field in the third match against the West Indies.

of course, India is going to do well in the third ODI. But that is not going to heal the wounds that was made by losing against the West Indies in the second ODI. But if we actually think about it, I think some people actually expected something like this to happen. Because India was experimenting in this series.
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll always tell people about bitcoin on: July 31, 2023, 08:35:06 AM
This days lot of bitcoiners are scared of introducing bitcoin to people because of they  do not want to be blame if the investment ends bad. Most people have lost good relationships with family and friends all because of introduction to financial investment with no profit and this made them to take a serious decision never to make any introduction about money to anybody again.  As for me I'll always introduce bitcoin to people because it is money, people needs money for better life.  It is my duty to tell about bitcoin to people and it is their decision to invest in it.

Because of the risk that is in bitcoin it won't stop me from telling people about bitcoin which will better their life if they found it interesting.
Well, I'm not sure how you tell people but honestly, I couldn't really imagine saying it is easy to educate someone who is not interested in one thing. Of course, you can just say - "hey you know Bitcoin? " Hey, this is what Bitcoin is all about". But what I was expecting from saying telling people is for them to understand clearly and educate them, not just by spreading the word Bitcoin without understanding. I could really assure you that no matter how good you are at telling people, rejections are really going to happen. I'm not afraid to be blamed but I just wanted that if I told someone, I was expecting that he would listen and follow what I say.
Rejections are a part of the day-to-day life, you should first of all shouldn't encounter people for educating them about Bitcoin if they are not interested in it at all, but those who show some interest, you should go ahead and tell them everything you know about Bitcoin, both positive and negative so that they know that there are also risks involved if they think of making investments but there are more positive things than the negatives about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

If you see during the conversation they are trying to counter question you trying to prove that you are wrong and Bitcoin isn't a good thing or something, that is when you should smile and end the conversation instead of wasting your energy on people that are ignorant and let them regret it in the future.

It depends, I mean, if they listen attentively to your explanation of bitcoin and then they make an argument from their bitcoin knowledge against you. It means they are interested in bitcoin but still have some doubts and it is your duty to answer their doubts, not to end the story abruptly. But if they are stubborn and ignore your explanations, it's time to end the bitcoin story to avoid wasting both of your time.

Bitcoin is still unfamiliar to many people, so once we accept that we want to spread bitcoin to everyone, we should prepare ourselves for rejection or criticism.
