If I sold a piece every time philipma sold a piece, I'd be... well, broke and not bitcoin rich.

Maybe rich, but Bitcoin poor

Few understand what’s more important

will sell another piece based on this advice.

If I sell 0.003 each and every day of the month It comes to 30 x 0.003 = 0.09 a month

If  I earn .14 btc a month I am stacking 0.05 a month.

I am fine with this.

The mine keeps growing and I keep getting more btc in earnings each month.

Eventually the difficulties will go through the roof but I 3x the size of the mine this year so it works for me and my partners.

It seems some people don't understand you're running a business here. Hard to expand the business if you don't spend some revenue on increasing infrastructure. And if you didn't expand, your stack would be much smaller than it is now.

Bingo. Exactly this. I have a good power deal. I am nowhere near capacity and I expand the mine buying gear as dca.

I buy on credit when coins dip like the 30 k drop in the summer.

When coins go up 40k 50k 60k I sell some btc.

This mine started with four s9s in dec 2018. that is 36th.

on the btc side it is now over 1700th (4 people in on it)

since we do not talk shit coins I won’t say the amount of  gpus and the L3+ ‘s

But we have quite a few.

We would not be growing the farm without plowing back some coin.

Since times are good I sell some coin to pay the credit off and also get some gear with out credit.

You and your partners have done very well. Going from 36 to 1700 is pretty awesome.

I would like to start a mining business myself, but there is no way in my country to get power cheap enough. When I get a rural property I will reconsider it if it is economic to run off solar in my location.

Good morning WO gang! Is this the reason for this rally?

https://cointelegraph.com/news/new-tickers-and-ark-filing-shows-bitcoin-futures-etf-approval-imminent-analyst

Futures based ETF is not a thing - it only creates an artificial inflation, IMO. And that is the purpose of those who are afraid of Bitcoin. On the other hand, once approved there will be less arguments to deny further a spot based ETF, which is good. At least it will revive Grayscale trading which is dead rn. Anyway, the supply shock is what really matters. As usual, when revisiting the previous ATH, it is done with 2-3 times less volume, which is understandable. The second time the hodlers are not tempted to sell anything. This is visible by the comments here as well. Nobody is really excited about these prices. No rockets, choppers, etc. But it feels good to see all these weak hands biting their nails for selling on a loss at 30K.  Grin

Other benefit of any ETF is that the "the government going to ban it" people have far less ammo than before. In fact, it should blow that shit almost completely out of the water and all the investors who were avoiding for this reason now no longer have that excuse.

I think it's just fuckery not wanting to lose face immediately.

Yeah that too.

A pump for ants. After the Evergrande thing seems solved you would expect a huge recovery. Anyway, I believe October will be glorious.

I think the SEC stuff has people worried for some damn reason.
626  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 22, 2021, 11:28:50 AM
If you're worried because of the recent dip, you're not doing it right.

Zoom out and enjoy the view.

@LFC: I hear you, but don't worry too much, it will come, and soon. In fact, I'm looking forward to buying my next $1k+ smartphone with your $50 prize money (there will be change for the beers too). When this happens, Bitcoin price will be at $180k+ and we will all be ecstatic. And it will happen sooner that many of us expect.

Onwards & upwards.

HoDL.

I would like to add that being that this dip was brought about by China and today they have already started the bail out process, remaining at this level for long is not going to happen. It is therefore a great time to buy the dip.

In addition, if the SEC news has had some kind of an effect, this is also compltely retarded. The SEC has zero fucking power over anything, just go ask Elon Musk over Twitter about how much of a bunch of wet lettuce leaf slapping pussies that they are.

SEC, hahahahahhahah. Pathetic.

So….?

When supply shock?

Asking for a friend and Liverpool fan…  Tongue Grin

He isn't the only one asking.

But if what we are going through right now is at all similar to 2020, after the crash, it can take months. I think it was about 5 solid months of vanishing supply before we started moving up in a significant way.

Edit: being that I haven't seen any charts posted by the usual twitter on-chain people since the dip, I imagine that supply has not been taken off exchanges during this last dump. If it had, I'm sure they would be quick to post the charts.

Stock market taking us down again. So stupid.

Awesome movie imo

i was thinking more of the game i use to play in the 90's....

I was able to pass the game in all scenarios and campaigns normally, then decided to try and see what I could do to make it simpler. First it was easy to change the starting spice to a negative number, effectively giving you 65k spice at the start. Second, I was able to edit the dropship to drop anything I wanted, including the big tanks, devastators, and even ornithopters.

At one point I didn't bother killing the other race or enemy, I just started hunting for worms and killing them. They could not be killed, but if you damaged them enough they would disappear.

Never played the Dune 2k version, just the old MS DOS one.

Now thinking about it more.. It was Dune II, wasn't too sure if we had trainers by then or if we manually hex editors the game like we did with SimCity to get billions in cash! Wow!.. long time ago man! Still remember some of the memorable quotes...

Duke Nukem 3D: Kick ass and Chew Bubble Gum - was my favorite...

For those fans of the dune games here is a great 3-part overview of the saga (by one of my favourite bloggers) and why Dune 1 and Dune 2 came out at the same time and are very different beasts. Both absolutely fantastic mind you. In fact, I still play them regularly today.

https://www.filfre.net/2018/12/controlling-the-spice-part-3-westwoods-dune/

Regarding the movies, I have only seen the David Lynch version, which was pretty panned by the critics but I liked it still. Haven't seen the new one yet, but the best are the mini-series, I highly recommend them.

And Duke 3d is awesome, his famous line is of course paraphrased from the fantastic movie (and a very relevant narrative these days) They Live directed by John Carpenter. I highly recommend that too.

The one good thing about the correlation with the legacy markets is that when they do throw money at this dip, Bitcoin will boom along side it.

Just remember the covid crash last year and what happened after it. Also, don't do as mindrust did and sell the bottom.
632  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 20, 2021, 02:27:28 PM
So let's see... 1. Stimulus checks over. 2. Unemployment payments ending. 2. Housing moratoriums ending, evictions starting.

Thus consumer spending and GDP falling like a brick.

And now, liquidity crises around property developers in China suddenly appear out of nowhere.

Coincidence? I think not. The Fed & Treasury took away the punch bowl too soon.

If the stock market tanks significantly, then just watch as U.S. Congress not only raises the debt ceiling, but they'll vote for and pass another multi-trillion $$$ "stimulus plan" so fast that it'll make your head spin.

Gotta avert that crisis. All by design.  Wink  Roll Eyes

And the sheeple will applaud.

The spice must flow.

Thanks.

It seems to be listening.

This dip seems to be brought on by the legacy markets. One day we'll be over this shit, which will be the day everyone realizes that the solution to legacy markets is actually Bitcoin. I give it another 5 years.
635  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 16, 2021, 09:28:14 AM
Don't know if anyone has been keeping an eye on China of late. But it seems like they may be in the beginnings of a financial crisis. The CCP is still ramping up the crazy tyrannical government thing, and they seem to be playing hard ball with the capitalist side of things and want to reverse the strangle hold that the corporations, particularly finance, have over the country. Of course the funny thing about that is that the CCP created this monster in the first place.

Anyway, I've switched my forced legacy market holdings to 75% bonds, will keep it that way for 2 months, or till a 20% decline in the markets. Even if the CCP doesn't back down and throw the money printers at it, we all know the FED will if this thing spreads, so I wouldn't want to hold out for more than a 20% decline.
What worries me most is that the money printers haven't even been turned off yet. Europe never stopped printing either, so if the next economic crisis happens, they're all out of options.

I wouldn't say all out of options, they just have to double their efforts. The great thing about money is that it is numbers, which means they can dial up to infinity if the need too. That is of course until they have been overthrown, that's when they are out of options.

Regarding bitcoin price performance of the past month...

[...]

...some of my no coiner friends...

they don't see it,
they cannot see it
they don't want to see it

[...]

I'm also amazed at my nocoiner friends/colleagues/relatives' persistent passiveness when it comes to Bitcoin. They laughed at me in 2015, they still didn't listen to me in 2017, they started getting interested in 2020, they are more interested now, but they are still nocoiners and haven't bought a single sat! Instead, whenever Bitcoin is mentioned, they look at me like rabbits blinded by the light.

Bitcoin is a strange beast. You either get it, or you don't. Maybe some kind of special brain wiring is needed?  Cheesy

I think those who get it, are those who understand the workings of the current monetary system and government. Doesn't have to be a complete understanding, but, at least enough to understand that things are rigged against those who earn their income via labor. I guess also an element of risk tolerance, some people will only ever save their fiat money, they'll never take the next step due to fear, and again a lack of understanding, in this case of investing.

Oh that is awesome. If true every man and his dog is going to go out and do the same, that's probably what has been happening the whole time. It is even easier to do that then manipulate shitcoins.

Hello friends! I haven't written for a month because a series of unfortunate accidents which happened to my father during our vacation. His life was in a great danger and it is not over yet. I experienced a big shock and I still haven't completely come out of it. May God save us! I have the support of my faithful friends who have helped us tremendously and continue to do so. Regarding Bitcoin, I am not as happy as before, of course. But when I have a chance, I continue to buy. I will perhaps write more in a few weeks. Stay strong and hodl as long as possible!

I truly hope your father pulls through, and wish you the best.

Material possessions are meaningless. Screw cars, mansions, holidays, and consumer crap. The only thing that matters is health and family, everything else is designed to distract you from this. No bitcoin of mine (more accurately my descendants, I'm just a caretaker) will ever be given to Lamborghini or any other corporation. Needs only and the rest will go to my children, for their needs only, and so on down the line.

A pump to $46,8xx & within 5 minutes threatening to go below $44,000. The market is total bullshit atm.

It's pretty fucking annoying I'll give it that.
