621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: January 14, 2024, 09:55:17 AM
Having a lot of free time as a soccer gambler, playing slots could be quite enjoyable. I might start learning the basics from here .

This list is pure my judgment based on the gaming experience (sadly, I didn't get paid for this lol),  ~cut~

Admin Pick:
* Rich Wilde and Tome of Madness (96.59% - High) | Rating: 4.4/5;
Nice..everyone prefers getting these unpaid recommendations because there's no pressure to exaggerate about other companies. And I've tried the first game as per what you wrote. Try this just to divert my eyes from Gate Olympus and wanting to try the top choices in the thread.

Getting free spins for my first 20 clicks...Not as big as the win @panjul07 got... it was a win from my first free spin in this game ..

As I see, your bet was 2,000 IDR, and the win was 35,000 IDR,

so, the multiplier was 17.5x. It's not that big of a multiplier, but still it's a decent win. Congrats!

My latest win was 42x on Blade & Fangs by Pragmatic Play

Can't say it was a big win, but for me it was great because recently all my wins on slots were below 20x.

Hmm, that's right. And if luckily a miracle happens you could lose the 2k to win just a 1.01 odds. But if you place the bet before starting the game and place the bet on the right place (the biggest team) you may get at least more than 1.50x odds. Smiley

You can get more than 150.00 odds and win, I can tell you that from my own experience. Look at this bet of mine:

Once I made a bet with over 200.00 odds, but cashed it out when the win was 43x of my bet, and you know what? The last match ended as I predicted and I realized that I could win 200x of my bet if I didn't cash out.

And also it's so hard to place a multibet on a live match because odds keep changing all the time.

Its their job and there's no way that we can be able to tell on what are those things that they are really that doing behind. We dont know if those funds are really that came from their own pocket or
obviously they are really that being funded on which we do know that they are really that making that doing marketing for a particular company on which it is really just that impossible
that they would really be making use of their own money or funds when it comes to playing gambling. ~

It's actually interesting. Does someone know for sure if it's their own funds they are playing with or it was given them by casino? I've been always thinking that they are given the money. They are usually making the biggest bonus buys and go to more than several thousand USD in negative profit before hitting something decent, so, it can't be their own money, I think. But, on the other hand, if you are paid $1 million for your stream with playing slots, you can easily afford losing $10k-$20k, right?

Indeed, you have to be more on the details either gambling or trading you need to be wise and find the ways of having the knowledge that will help you, in the sense of taking the risk, wise gambler understand that knowing the principle of gambling like understanding how to balance time and money mangement will help you to acquire decent chance to earn, same deal with trading, if you know the project and know how the project will run you can predict the possibility either short or long investment period.

And yet I want to repeat that "knowing" how the project will run or which team/athlete is going to win is of minor importance. What is of major importance is how much you "bet" on the outcome. I mean, in trading it's also "betting" in a way, right? Knowing that you should risk only small amounts is more important than "knowing" on what project/team/athlete to bet, because you can't know for sure anyway.

~snip~
That's right! As one wise man once said, smart people learn from their mistakes, but really smart ones learn from the mistakes of others. Can we learn from the mistakes of others all the time? No, it's impossible. We are not superhuman beings, we are just humans. And mostly we learn from our own mistakes, but in some cases, and gambling addiction is one of them, we simply can't afford the hard way of learning.
Yes, that won't be possible if we always learn from other people's experiences and mistakes. But we will find mistakes other people make intentionally or unintentionally, and that's where we learn from them. By learning from their experiences and the mistakes they make, we can develop our abilities and also try to find solutions if we experience the incident so that we can use the solutions to improve the situation. We can only continue to try to learn to be better, and in this forum, we can also learn from everything shared by members in this forum.

And this forum has a huge database regarding gambling experiences. One of those abandoned threads may help someone years after it was created. Lessons from gambling can be very different. One can say the main lesson is "Don't risk more than you can afford to lose", but for different people it must be put differently for them to get it.

That's right. I am officially in the race and while we still have 92 days left I hope I win another one.
As always, the WoF spins at least makes me eligible for the lambo and I am thankful for that.

Apart from hoping to win the Lambo I'm hunting for the Jackpot on Multiply BTC game(won it two times already, 10k sats and 100k sats) and since my odds are set to 98.96, sometimes, like today, I win the money I lost on my tries back Smiley

Another way of winning your money back is a bet like this

Thus you are also contributing 5k to wagering 500,000 satoshi in order to get another Golden Tcket. (But, of course, this way you can lose 5k sats at once. You should know your risks.)

Nice wins Betwrong Smiley I keep getting tempted to bet on big odds since I lose 'small odds' anyway lol
~

Thank you! Exactly that's why I bet on big odds. I've noticed that if I bet with 1.40 odds, my win is not guaranteed anyway, and I can lose several of such bets before winning one. So, maybe it's better to try my luck with 14.00 odds then? Maybe winning one in several bets will be profitable then. I must say I'm not trying to make money from my gambling, it's all for fun, but making a profitable bet is part of the fun, right? And looks like it's working so far. Smiley Only my favourite odds are above 100.00 most of the time.
628  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: January 10, 2024, 10:50:42 AM
Regarding the slot game I'm playing right now, it's Bitcasino Billion, my favourite slot of all time. I just won 26x of my bet

Nice win @Betwrong.

I also tried playing Bitcasino Billion yesterday with a little money deposited and the highest win of 24x was only once, still unlucky but honestly I'm happy to take the game here.

Not depositing more for slot games, that's only when getting more from sports betting. Grin

Yes, that's a great idea! That's what I'm doing basically: depositing a part of my winnings from sports betting to have fun with slots. The thing is that with slots you never know what you are going to win and it's exciting. Your win of 24x wasn't expected, was it? That's the beaty of it.

but, I tell you what, for this game it's nothing. It can easily give you more than a 100x of your bet, like a piece of cake. What you need is internet connection, a bit of Good Luck and Bitcasino, of course. Smiley
Thanks for the confirmation that this game is still hot until now. I will try my luck again tomorrow hoping for massive jackpot win. I decided to limit my gambling to weekends only so that I will be more excited and more lucky at the same time because I’m looking forward on it.

I’m curious to try the Gate of Bitcasino slot game since I’m restricted to play Pragmatic Play slot games. Do you have any experience on this slot game?

I think if you are restricted to play Pragmatic Play slot games, you won't be able to play Gate of Bitcasino either, unfortunately. But don't worry, first, the rules can change in the future, and, second, you always have Bitcasino Billion and tons of other slots to have fun. Good Luck!
629  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: January 10, 2024, 10:07:05 AM
Thank you! Normally if I bet with high odds it's below $0.50 my bet is, but it was for the Perfect 10 contest, and you should make a bet of $1 minimum, with odds 10.00 or above and with betting on minimum 10 outcomes. And after selecting 10 games I saw that my odds where unnecessary above 50.00, and I thought "Ah, f*ck it, I'll leave it like that!" And I won. Smiley I lost my bets with the odds like 12.00 and 15.00, but I won with 54.46. Smiley
It's a f*** beauty of gambling. Congratulations to you.

Bet with abnormal higher odds than your favorite and with bigger bet value than usual, but at the end you got a lucky win. It's damn stimulating and really increase your dopamine. You are a pro gambler and I really sure you will simply enjoy your win, restructure your balance and capital for gambling and try your luck next times.

A pro gambler is different than newbie gambler by never bet all and never bet with super high multipliers continously.

Thank you. I think I'm not a pro in a sense that there are some guys that live from gambling and I'm far from being like them. But in the sense that I gamble almost every day, yes, I am a pro then. Smiley I enjoy cases like this very much, and as you know yourself, I'm sure, they happen from time to time if you gamble often, and it's then when you think it was all worth it. I wish you to win with a high multiplier soon. Just keep trying from time to time. Wink
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: January 09, 2024, 03:47:57 PM

I don`t sure it is so. It is really rare opportunity to get such win, you can wait more than a month to find such bet. As for me - major income is stable income and it is really difficult with such odds. It is easy enough to get 10x, you can find 2 matches with 3-4 odd, or 7-10 matches with odds about 1.5-1.7 that have good chance of winning. But for 100x you have to choose risky bets. May be i`m mistaken, but it is too risky for me.

If you make small bets it's never too risky. The max you can lose is your bet, right? And risking from $0.50 to $1 is not much of a risk, innit? But if odds were high enough the win could be pretty decent, look here:

You just keep trying and one day you win and feel good. And it's not like you lose 150 of your bets before winning a bet like that, for me it's more like 50-60. But even it was 150-200 lost bets I'd do those multuibets anyway, because winning like that once in a while is so much fun. Smiley

Well. If we are honest, it is quite of difficult in the current state of societies around the world not to judge others, regardless of how bad our personal situation is compared to them. But leaving that to one side, it catches my attention how hard drugs like cocaine and crack many times end up being mixed with gambling, specially amount the rich and their luxurious private parties. Not that I am rich or I have been invited to those celebrations, I assume it is that way because some leaked footage I have seen of those events where people engage in both alcohol/cocaine consumption and also gambling.
I don't know, to me it is like a big exaggeration for anyone to do such things at the same time, I doubt someone could do that in a regular basis and yet continue to keep their status, it is the kind of mixture of habits would could easily drain anyone's  pockets.

I have associated rather the consumption of crack-cocaine to gamblers who have reached rock bottom and cannot feel any positive feeling without the aid of those forms of base cocaine.

Those rich folks is another story entirely. They can do drugs and gamble simultaneously and nothing bad will happen to them in the end because they have enough money to cover their losses and to go to some expensive rehabilitation clinic. Let's not worry about them. But for regular folks like us both gambling and drug addiction can be a big problem and we must watch out.
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: January 09, 2024, 12:21:33 PM

So, we can conclude that gambling is about luck, most of the time. Can I say that great poker professionals like Erik Seidel, Daniel Negreanu and Liv Boeree have won their millions only because of luck? No. But that luck has played a big part in all that, yes, I think so. And in my opinion sports betting requires more luck than poker, but maybe it's my own opinion.

I don't agree with you that sport betting requires more luck than poker. In sports betting we can easily analyze the wining team before the games comes to an end based on their performance, odds, player present etc. even if the probability of you winning a sport bet is low, poker is still not match for sports betting. Poker is entirely based on luck with just few skills. After shuffling the card and sharing it, your probability of winning now depends on the luck that hits your side that day. Poker is a game were you don't get to see your opponent cards and mind so if luck fall in the hand of a total beginner, he might even be the one to empty you account that day Grin.

Sorry, but it looks like you know little about sports betting, and you know even less about poker. In short, in sports betting your knowledge about team's performance is balanced by the odds. It's not like they both are factor, they are the opposites. In poker even with very bad cards you can win through bluffing, so luck plays minimal role there.

~

I will not deny what you say. yeah, " we can conclude that gambling is about luck, most of the time". like some of the names you mentioned in the world of professional gambling in the field of poker. they really got lucky by getting millions of dollars, and that's why they got what they deserved. But in reality, luck will not come without effort, knowledge, experience and everything else involved. just like this life, everything is related to luck. Likewise with gambling, without luck which is related to each other, we will not win anything. In short, we agree with what you said including sports gambling. But in essence the concept is not that simple, I'm sure you also understand it.

Now we are talking about sports, for example football. When the two teams compete, luck also plays a role. This luck must also be accompanied by effort, which is carried out by the two teams competing against each other. starting from the depth of a team's players, systems, patterns, strategies and all kinds of things carried out by the two teams competing against each other to win the battle. Just like gambling, betting requires experience, understanding, research, analysis, odds, options, and most importantly knowing exactly what we are betting on. After that, we will hand it over to the team that will compete. which team is luckier and also the choice options in our betting. This effort is made solely to minimize losses, without any effort with the variables that we do, it means we are betting only relying on luck. As a result, there are more losses than wins. because we don't try, which we should be able to do with our creativity. just like poker professionals, they need time to learn everything to achieve the skills they want.

I agree, it's not totally about luck if we are talking about poker and sports betting. Just let's not forget that other games like dice, plinko, mines, slots, Roulette ... they are all about luck, and no strategies work with them. Let's not forget about that.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 09, 2024, 11:52:39 AM
It is not necessary that with prevent someone from gambling just because they are mentally ill. Maybe he finds it peace of mind by gambling after everything that he has endured. Every coin has two sides and I don't think it is different here. If that makes him happy, then why not let him do it.
If he is doing something bad and cannot stop it, then it is our responsibility to at least try to talk to him and get him out of this situation. If not then there's nothing wrong here. Let the man enjoy his life.

I agree. Gambling can make that person feel better, and who are we to forbid it? Only I think that hardly someone will feel better after losing a big amount. I would suggest giving a limited amount of chips to such gamblers, but it can be depressing for them, they could feel that they are not allowed to win big. So, honestly, I don't know the right solution.

yes, not sure if they don't have a newsletter

They do have a newsletter. I get them. The promos they have on their website are just the ones in it tho and no other unique promotions. Unlike other casinos that I am currently subscribed to which gives out free spins from now and then.

They are pretty much active on twitter for giveaways and here in bitcointalk for contests.

Yes, they are. Here's the newest(clickable):

The number of participants is huge, though. I've looked through the submitted numbers and then picked "998" because it looked like nobody has picked it, and now I hope that among 627 entries I will be the luckiest one. What are the odds? But anyway your chances are zero if you don't participate.

If you know that gambling is a means of fraud, and casino are using this to extort money from gamblers, why are you still gambling, you can just quit gambling finally, so that you don't become their victim anymore. However, I disagree with you on that statement because, I have seen a lot of gamblers that won big and their money was given to them. Gambling is known as try your luck and if you think that you are capable of winning, you can try your luck, and this should be done for fun and not because you want use it as an advantage to make money, if so, you got it wrong. There are some casinos that are out there to scam people and such casinos don't last as they will always deprive gamblers from their win. It is hard to win more than you lose and put that in your mind.

Indeed, given the nature of casino games, t's hard to win more than you lose. It's not a charity joint, it's a casino FFS, they operate for profits. So, obviously, most gamblers lose their money and only a minority of them wins more than was staked. But those people exist, many thousands of them. When they say everyone can profit from gambling, don't believe them. But when they say that they themselves have profited, it can be a fact whether we like it or not.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: January 08, 2024, 02:17:55 PM
~

The case of Ron is quite a case to be studied in the future (when these elections are over) by political strategists and advertisement providers, to be honest; it is quite remarkable how he had the odds, the donors and the poll numbers to had taken over Trump but end up losing all that support because is bad personality and tasteless behavior during interviews, at this point I believe Chris Chistie is a better candidate than him, at least he is not afraid of Trump is not afraid of saying the thinks he actually believes. Keeping in mind De Santis support basically comes from a percentage of the MAGA base which was not sure about Trump as candidate, it may be safe to say that his political career may be over once he gets removed from his position in Florida, Trump won't ever sponsor him again, obviously.

I believe Trump has a very good chance of winning, because this is not a normal world anymore. if this was a normal world like in the 2000"s, Trump race would have been over after he got indicted once or twice and after being found guilty of sexual assault, etc. but he continues to dominate the Republican party, sadly. What bothers me is Biden treating Trump as he was a normal politician and avoids direct confrontation against him (probably because that would only help the narrative of those indictments being politically motivated). Anyways, I am not sure yet where to put my money, to be honest.  Sad

Neither am I. I placed a couple of small bets on Michelle Obama and Kamala Harris, and I cashed out my bet on Nikki Haley because the payout was 4 times bigger than my initial stake and I don't think she will become President eventually. I still think that the most promising candidate is Joe Biden, but I hope the odds for him will go over 10.00 and then I will place my bet.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A hero or a fool? on: January 08, 2024, 12:49:13 PM
~ It really depends on the tolerance of each person towards gambling. I always become hook on gambling whenever I’m playing but I stop thinking about gambling after my game. The problem of people that usually get addicted was they still keep daydreaming to win big even after gambling. Continuous thinking about gambling is what makes uncontrollable that later result to addiction.

You can become hook on gambling without being addicted if you know when to stop and play.

Good observation. I too think that within a game you can be "hooked" to it or whatever, especially if it makers your experience more vivid, why not? But when the game is over you have to move on, and it's very important to understand that your thoughts must be free from gambling when you are doing something else. That's your first clue: if can't think of anything but gambling all the time, maybe you start developing an addiction and you have to do something about it.

Some will say that an white collar employee is more mentally drained out hence they deserve better pay but people who do menial job stop working the world will just rot as everything cannot be done but robots and AI.

It's sometimes sad to see how they are treated disrespectfully, be it a waiter, delivery workers, cab drivers, carpenter, or construction workers as they are the pillars and without them things will start falling apart. I know some of these can be automated but not everything.
Looking at the blue collar jobs in my area, I can say that white collar jobs are filled with people who graduated from college for no reason at all. Back in the day, during our parents time, people with a college degree ended up making a lot more money, so the whole world pressured the kids to go to college so they would be one of those people who make that money, but because we all did, now it means nothing at all.

In fact, I worked 4+ years without a degree and made about the same amount of money as afterwards, only after I found my current job that I got paid this much, and on my current job, that I have been working for 8 years, I have never proved my college degree, meaning I could have been uneducated person with not even graduating from elementary school, and my boss wouldn't know, never asked, I have my job, because I am good at it, as simple as that.

But normally they ask for your education certificates when you apply for a job. You are a lucky person that you have found your job, and your boss is a good person(from the words you describe him). Many white-collar jobs look like they could be performed without any education, but in fact you need an education to get them.
