621  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!! on: December 07, 2017, 10:31:53 PM
After reading this thread, I just sold all my altcoins, just put in a btc withdrawal request.
Got Txid.
Lost a good chunk in the altcoin blood bath but I decided to just keep everything in btc for now.

Thanks guys

Good decision, I'm surprised that people still want to trade there after all this, do they not know or do they just not care? Everyone else, keep spamming their twitter. https://twitter.com/BittrexExchange
622  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: December 07, 2017, 12:06:00 PM
Anyone else have a withdrawal limit of 0.4btc but is still unable to withdrawal? Past few weeks I had been able but not anymore.

It seems to be a bug (or intentional) but some people that got verified recently still can't withdraw even with the 100 btc limit. Although some of them weren't able just because they didn't enable 2fa, do you have 2fa enabled?
623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possible reasons that Bitcoin will be gone on: December 07, 2017, 12:04:20 PM
When people realize the price is just artificial and bitcoin itself doesn't have much use as a currency it will die. Many other coins are just better than bitcoin and do their job. Bitcoin was intended as a currency and it's not being used as such. Treating like an asset will only last so long. Fees are also getting a bit too much, specially withdrawals from exchanges/websites.

Yes for the currency use case, but as a digital gold. Gold has always had high fees, low portability and really an artificial value purely used as protection.
If you are going to use a store of value currency bitcoin seems like the obvious solution. I think heavy regulations will come in, but organisations will figure out a way to package it and sell it.

Ok but then people should totally stop treating it like a currency. There is no point in having platforms accept bitcoin as payment if it's just going to be digital gold. No one is buying groceries with gold in real life. There are way too many people and projects that are still treating bitcoin as a currency so if people really want to make bitcoin succeed as digital gold then everyone should actually treat it as that.

I'm leaving this campaign by the way so 2 senior spots are left now basically. Thanks.

guys post here

to avoid newcomers get scammed by bittrex

Bittrex not scam but has a limited employees for support tickets. and lack of communication from their owners. not the best policy but not scam.

My acc has been upgrade today and i can withdrawn my all money from there.

my suggestions that:
1. open one ticket. dont open multiply ticket cause you have putted to bottom line of requests.
be polite and informative. your ticket contains all necessary info about your problem.
2. be patient . wait for a while your request going to solved by support. I did not got any message but my problem solved.
3. if your problem is still exists after 10-14 days or more. send messages to bittrex employees on their official twitter channel . dont bagging them just sen a reminder with your unsolved ticket number. iv sent messages to all bittrex employees once and another to channel. and some reply to their posts. dont bagging them . reminds them only with a few message.

My originally problem was error on verification process 20 days ago. after a little time turned the message to name mismatch error and iv created a follow up ticket on original ticket  3 days ago and today my acc is enhanced finally.

Good luck

To be fair, you shouldn't need to be polite nor patient. Patience has a limit, people have thousands and thousands of dollars stuck there, some of them might actually really need the money urgently and they are taking months to respond to tickets not to mention they might just disable your account. Not scam but borderline scam.
627  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: December 07, 2017, 12:10:37 AM
Another thing is...  Why do you - bittrex - allow deposits knowing that unverified accounts cannot withdraw? Are you planning something? This is really suspicious! Wake up people, find better place than bittrex.

The worse scenario is when someone is verified and cannot withdraw.  Ridiculous.

Bittrex you should say something in public, are you  afraid to say we are sorry? And deal with your issue to keep your customers at least assured the money deposits are secure?

They did send a private email saying they will fix it but fuck me after months of not saying anything only 1 shitty mail telling people they will fix it? No official statement in any social media/web, somewhere? I don't know, just unprofessional.
628  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!! on: December 06, 2017, 10:53:45 PM
Best bet is to still talk about it on social media, this is the only way to make them understand that they need to solve the problem. Their twitter account is like a fucking troll by the way.
629  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: December 06, 2017, 10:49:49 PM
At least it seems that they are finally acknowledging the problem after so long. Still absolutely unprofessional and borderline scam. I personally am not verified yet but I have seen many people get verified lately so hopefully it happens soon. It seems that they might not be fully scamming after all.

631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Futures -- The Big Short on: December 05, 2017, 03:34:13 PM
I don't know, there is still a lot of speculation on what is going to happen. To me bitcoin right now seems like a bomb waiting to explode, the price keeps climbing artificially with no real support, fees are still high, problems are still there and yet bitcoin is still strong but is it really? Obviously now there is a lot of media coverage everywhere and that's pushing the price even more but is it going to last? It's not a good investment right now anyways, alt coins are more profitable anyways and faster/less fees.

As you said, there is for sure going to be a pump initially, probably already started by now but this also could mean more pros/investors jumping into bitcoin and actually adding some real support to it. We will have to see, personally I will not be holding bitcoins till then.

They also destroy you if you are from certain countries as they will only accept passport or drivers license. I have a friend that can't get verified because of that. He is Brazilian and they wont accept any other type of ID and it seems that almost no one has a passport there and only a small percentage of people own a drivers license. This is a scam, one way or the other, they are absolutely scamming people.
634  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Withdrawal Problem due to Verification on: December 03, 2017, 12:43:41 AM
Actually before i could withdraw from bittrex, i had to verify my email and my phone number....but that's it, at least for basic level.

There is no such luck for anyone outside United States. Your funds are simply stuck.

They are verifying some people outside the US but they are extremely slow and totally unprofessional. It seems that they might not be scamming after all, maybe because they got scared/caught, I would still withdraw everything if I was verified, right now.
635  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!! on: December 02, 2017, 08:17:52 PM
I had a legacy account aswell i believe, and it got changed to unverified, and i'm from the EU. Had a good amount of money there. I guess i will just need to verify my passport before i can withdraw?

Anyway, i'm not sure how they can change something like this without noticing ANYBODY.
I haven't received a single email, nor did it seem like they updated their ToS,  ( as i never accepted any new TOS of them, in a form of a popup/email... ? )

Keep in mind that their verifier third party Jumio is in the hands of a guy that co-started facebook. Their TOS states they'll sell their ID data to anyone for profit. Because of this, I'm never going to send these clowns my ID. For now, I'm viewing my stuck balance as casualty of war.

What you mean their ID data to anyone? Even if their TOS says that, it's still illegal to sell passports and other ID's. By the way it seems that they are actually verifying more accounts now, I've seen some people that got verified and bittrex support even apologized for it so I guess there is still hope. I'm still going to withdraw everything as soon as I can tho.
636  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!! on: December 02, 2017, 11:50:09 AM
I have launched a telegram group. I want all those whose account has been disabled to join to this group. and if we needed to file a lawsuit against them we can do it collectively for better results.
everybody is welcome
here is group:
https://t.me/joinchat/BjmOlA2Ir-_l5XhBATHoTg

Is that for US only? It would be a bit hard to do it from all over the world and I'm not from US myself. I will personally wait a little bit more because I sent my ticket only 1 week ago but eventually I'm going to have to do something if they keep doing this.
637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin seems outdated on: December 02, 2017, 01:04:13 AM

Bitcoin is slow , has high fees ... ? where are new upgrades ? When you look waves , eth , ltc , bitshares so bitcoin seems outdated against all these alts. When you look at all this upgrades and look at bitcoin so it seems like development is dead ... can someone explain me why btc can't have some new upgrades for faster blockchain or something like that ?

BEFORE YOU POST SOMETHING READ THE WHOLE DISCUSSION AND DON'T POST USELESS POSTS !

Oh come one man that was just temporary period when the transaction were very slow. This kind of slowness will come multiple times in the future because whenever shit coins like BCH will interfere with the blockchain invested, which is not good approach anyway.

Quote
development is dead

No it isn't dead yet, there are so many developments already gong on thats why big entities like futures are now ready to accept the bitcoin in first place. Once such companies starts coming into the market of crypto then bigger developments will take place surely.

faster blockchain or something like that ?

There is no such thing which is faster than the blockchain. Even the swift technology which is similar to blockchain and used in the traditional banking system are having the problems of faster transaction. The load on the blockchain is enormous and still it is faster. More developments soon as I said in second point.

LOLZ!

Come on, bitcoin is much much slower than many coins and with far higher fees. Bitcoin is just not well suited as a means of payment which is what it is intended for. Bitcoin replacing gold could work but not as a currency. Obviously many other coins have different purposes, not all of them are competing against each other but I personally think if a real team of professionals wanted to make a crypto better than bitcoin, they could right now.
638  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!! on: December 02, 2017, 12:54:15 AM
Perhaps they have a backroom deal with authorities seeking to identify crypto currency holders and only release accounts when they get a clear from higher up.
Such collaboration would explain all the closed Iranian / Syrian accounts as these countries fall under the economic sanctions list.

Ok but whatever it is, why not make a statement at least somewhere, twitter even to tell customers that they are working on it or something. This whole behavior just screams scam, even if it's not they are totally destroying their reputation.
639  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!! on: December 01, 2017, 03:13:50 PM
It's also funny that people who are verified don't give a fuck about what's going on and they continue to use the exchange...

thats the kicker, you'd think people would be getting out in droves, appears no ones learnt the Gox, Cryptsy lessons  Shocked I too was legacy had without warning my withdraw limit reduced from 1337BTC to 0 BTC  Angry

I seriously don't understand it, I mean we are not talking about a few complaints here, there are literally hundreds of thousands. If I was verified I would withdraw everything so fast and never use the exchange again.
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin seems outdated on: December 01, 2017, 03:12:04 PM
The reason bitcoin has its current position is because it is the first, and all the other coins are its followers.
We can say it is slow now, but it is the most safe and also the most adopted cryptocurrency.
Don't worry about the slowness, people are still working on it and in the future it will be lightening fast.

It will be the least adopted soon enough. No one wants to make transactions with bitcoins right now, fees are way too high, price way too volatile and technology outdated compared to other coins. It's only where it is because 99% of ''investors'' in bitcoin are only looking to get rich fast.
