Bitcoin:  +15%

Gold:  -4%

Happy days!  I'm finally in the black on Bitcoin (except for a brief period of run-up after the $2.nn days.)  Let's hope the trend continues and swells to a tsunami.  Bitcoin-wise that is...I'm happy with PM's doing as they do and do not especially need or wish to see any big earthquakes there.

BTW, I've been busy with various life-changes.  I've missed you boys over the last week or two.  I'm on 'excede' satellite these days and it's a pleasantly surprising experience compared to my other satellite experiences.  I can think of worse ways to waste my time than dicking around on the bitcointalk.org forum...especially in relatively exciting times like these when an important (to me) threshold has occurred in BTC price.

welcome back.  can't say i missed you  Wink

what is "excede satellite"?

ISP.  Offered like a year ago.. something like 3mb up 12mb down, capped at 7gb per month.  Lets you have decently fast inet in the boonies, but 7gb is just not enuf Wink

the silence is deafening.  i think all the kids got shaken out...

Aww its friday.  They are all just contemplating the massive injection big Ben is about to unload..

If I'm lucky later tonight my big Ben will get some love too..

dank you should beg or borrow from family / friends to get this paid.  Don't get in over your head.  Your threads asking for loans are amusing at times, and it would suck to no longer see them around.  good luck!

You think if he's coming here for loans that he hasnt' already tapped out his family and friends?

It seems unlikely Pirate keeps his profits in BTC,  He probably keeps gold bars in his treasure chest!!  I would matey Wink

You forgot the part about how gold didn't collapse and how your in the red on your GLD short.

It is nice to see BTC hit 6 again.  When BTC hits 30 thu, then it will really be UP Wink.

Lets see some new alltime highs in BTC Wink

I'm tired of BTC being down here in the mud after the collapse from 30.

I'm considering selling some oil stock and buying one or two juinor silver miners atm..

Any thoughts??  Grin Wink

I thought about it and went ahead and pulled the trigger.

Since Cypher disclosed his 152 GLD short (btw did you cover yet cypher?)

I bought GPL at 1.97 today.  You can record this one. (for better or worser) Wink

Now if Ben can just back me up next week..

no i didn't.  in fact, i've added shorts to RGLD, SLW, GG, ZSL, DZZ and SLV since that time several of which have gone positive since i put them on. Grin

Wow, well I'm betting the other way, so I can't say I hope that works out for you Wink

Bought a Beretta FS92, 450 rds of 9mm, ammo cans from RandomQ.

awaiting shipment to FFL.

anyone have anything else they want to sell?

Nice.  Get some of those 32 round mags that hang out the bottom 6", lol, they are pretty fun.  and 9mm is relatively cheap Wink

http://www.coinflation.com/

been harvesting nickels and pre 82 pennies for years here

I love coinflation Wink.  I sorted a bunch of pre 82 pennies by hand a few years back, but it gets old pretty fast, lol.  Its so much easier to just buy $100 boxes of nickels, lol.

Seems like a lot of hassle to hold $100.83 worth of metal, unless you get more than $100 worth of nickles for $100.

Not to mention if you wanted to melt them down it be more expensive than the gain no matter what form of energy you use.  I suppose if you have enough land you could chop down a few trees, but you're still looking at significant labor.

Its been as high as 8-9 cents melt value per nickel..  Its gonna rise.. I don't ever plan on melting them.  How much is the melt value of a crisp 100 dollar FRN Wink.

In 1964 they thought silver dimes were only worth a dime, today they sell for 21x face Wink.

I love to take down trees and buck em up,  hauling them around once you've done that part isn't so fun thu.. But I love to run my chainsaws Wink

It could be a good way for people start using BTC as payment for buying real products. I see that today most of the bitcoin trade volume is on gambling and speculation, am I wrong?

Silk road is the bitcoin Ebay.

I have to say that I'm a proud owner of Ruger's LCP .380 and I love it. I have an IWB leather holster that i can tuck in almost anything. The gun is so light that I can clip the holster inside basketball shorts or something without a belt and it stays exactly where it needs to.

I don't own a beretta, so that might be a good option.

Nice on the LCP.

Why do you want a fullsize 9mm?

Why not a .40 (.357 sig) or .45, or get crazy with 10mm or 9x23..

I have enough small pistols, looking to build out the collection with various shapes and sizes Wink Got my eye on a five seven right now, and possibly a beretta fs92.

If you want copper, just buy nickels..  They are 75% copper and worth more then a nickel (melt value)..  The only real money left in the US..  The nickel.. They are a bit heavy thu at 22lbs per $100 Wink
640  Economy / Goods / Re: Come in and Trade Ammo or Talk about Guns! on: June 14, 2012, 08:25:50 PM
Can you guys toss me some ideas for a new 9mm pistol? I'm looking for something thats not a glock or a taurus, something tactical, reliable, accurate, and inexpensive. Maybe a nice carry size 9mm would be ideal.

I'm seriously considering buying a Ruger LC9.  Its a subcompact, but perfect for CCW in the summer.

I already have a Sig P228 (compact), but I'd like something a lil smaller.

If you want a full size, you can't really go wrong with the Beretta 92..
