621  Economy / Economics / Re: Will You buy a pizza at 10,000 sat? on: October 28, 2015, 06:10:39 PM
I wonder what kind of fee would you need to pay if the price for a single pizza was 10,000 sat. How would this be viable? If a pizz was 10,000 sat, it would mean that anyone holding 1 BTC would be pretty wealthy, the transaction volume would be huge, and the fee market would look very different.

Depends, no-one can really predict that. For all we know Bitcoin could maintain a fairly low block size with large transactions becoming the norm as off-chain solutions become more used, with fees remaining slightly higher as a result, or the block size may have been increased by then with much lower fees to facilitate global commerce.
622  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar collapse in 2015? (2) on: October 28, 2015, 12:11:40 PM
I think that every year the value of 1 USD is deducted by 0.2%.

That's not quite how inflation or currency exchange rates work. I don't know where you got that figure from, but it's neither very effective nor useful in proving a point.
623  Economy / Economics / Re: Will You buy a pizza at 10,000 sat? on: October 28, 2015, 12:09:14 PM
Reserved.........

Why. Why did you do this crap? To boost your post count? Even in the altcoin section when people make new coins these posts are considered useless, what the hell could you possibly be reserving a slot for other than to get paid more for your signature campaign?

Sigh.

To answer the OP, sure. Possible future value shouldn't affect what I do now.
624  Economy / Economics / Re: America's new debt ceiling - $19,600,000,000,000 on: October 28, 2015, 12:07:33 PM
If you guys are referring to the market correction as the possible start of a recession, then you probably have another thing coming for you. A market correction was long overdue, guys, it's not going to cause a new recession this early. Wink
625  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people dump their Bitcoins ? on: October 28, 2015, 12:02:15 PM
Because they're scared of the price changes. Investing in a volatile asset or commodity or currency or whatever you like to call Bitcoin just isn't for everyone, some people don't have very high risk tolerance. In some cases that also causes them to make extremely irrational decisions even after they have researched and invested into assets.
626  Economy / Economics / Re: Elasticity and inelasticity of bitcoin's supply and demand on: October 28, 2015, 12:01:12 PM
The money supply of bitcoin is limited. So the price in bitcoin will be lower in long term.

Congratulations on showing that you have absolutely no economic knowledge.

Reduced supply of a good means that a good will have a higher price due to its scarcity, it makes no sense saying that the price would be lower.
627  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $350 during november? on: October 28, 2015, 10:18:58 AM
Eh. It's good we reached $300 this month and it's a possibility that we could reach $350 next month, but it's definitely not guaranteed. I wonder when the increases in price will either stop, or whether we'll see a correction in the market soon enough...hopefully we don't walk into another bubble.
628  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Silver Wallets - A New Kind of Physical Storage [MEGA SUMMER SALE!] on: October 27, 2015, 05:34:21 PM
Hey Mitchell, would you happen to know where I could purchase a coin slab that fits the dimensions of a series 1 numbered gold round which has a capsule on? I want something to put my round and capsule in and the coin slab that came with my round never fit it. Cry
629  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Gold Coins: 1oz and 1/20oz on: October 27, 2015, 05:30:48 PM
2x 1oz American Eagle $1165 $1145 $1120 Final Price Drop Only Bitcoin

Wow, that's actually a good $40 below spot per coin for a nice and respected coin too, the only thing that might make some people hesitant is the fact that you seem to have left it unprotected and exposed meaning the quality of the coin may have been damaged by scratches, etc. Still a good deal based on spot though, good luck selling them.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: October 27, 2015, 05:27:58 PM
Not always. Sometimes the website owner make a + ev game so you will get profit but of course this is limited only. According to math then you will lose but variance can be such a bad ass in the game

Your "not always" is in a very limited and very rare situation. I do not consider things such as playing the odds at a booker or taking advantage of multiple bonuses at different sites to make a guaranteed +EV bet on say, sports, to be "gambling" per se, and +EV games are extremely rare and limited time.
631  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ? on: October 27, 2015, 05:22:15 PM
With the price hike

what

demand and popularity of bitcoin goes rapidly.

what

Only popularity of bitcoin creates demand. So, if the price goes up we can see more demand due to famous bitcoin.

I guess...?

With this scenario I expect $500 in November 2015 itself.

Your reasoning is heavily flawed in this argument. We aren't going to see $500 next month due to some random barely explained spike in Bitcoin popularity, and any proof for that must be invalid as we would already be seeing prices that high if the proof was valid.
632  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $300 this month? on: October 27, 2015, 05:19:57 PM
Yeah, we've already tapped $300. I think by the end of this month we'll either have a good hold around the $300 area, or we'll have dropped to about $275 and hold there. It all depends what happens in the next day or two. Smiley
633  Economy / Auctions / Re: Domain Auction: Swag.pw on: October 26, 2015, 06:42:44 PM
I'll do $17 as the bid on the other site you're auctioning at is still $16.
634  Economy / Gambling / Re: Overview of Popular Bitcoin Gambling Websites [Being brought Up-to-date] on: October 26, 2015, 04:54:38 PM
Well it is called an overview of popular Bitcoin gambling websites.

This is defined in the footer of the OP:

Note: I define a "popular" Bitcoin Gambling Website as one with a Bitcointalk thread with a size of over 25 pages (though I reserve the right to give some leniency). That doesn't actually necessarily mean it's popular, but it sorts out the ribble rabble and stops people screaming to add x y and z unknown sites. I also... [...]

635  Economy / Services / Re: Selling my singture on: October 26, 2015, 12:56:38 PM
Like his negative trust says, Mitchell was considering changing it to a neutral feedback. I don't think offering what essentially amounts to a bribe was the best of ideas in this case.

Just take a signature campaign which will take people with negative trust. Simple.
636  Economy / Gambling / Re: Overview of Popular Bitcoin Gambling Websites [Being brought Up-to-date] on: October 26, 2015, 12:44:50 PM
Going to start bringing this back up-to-date now, so keep an eye out for updates to this. First I need to check if all of the ratings are still accurate, then make adjustments.
637  Economy / Services / Re: Get your Photo Edited for 0.005 - 0.01 BTC :D on: October 26, 2015, 12:32:57 PM
Brush size 3, coarseness 118, Effects -> Artistic -> Oil Painting. Via paint.net (something between regular MS paint and more advanced alternatives like photoshop)

Just an example. A more advanced free alternative to Photoshop is GIMP, which is basically as advanced as photoshop just with a tad bit less features, and definitely has a large amount of filters and effects. My point is, even free alternatives as simple as paint.net can do this stuff. Wink

Granted this isn't the same style, but paint.net is quite ground down and only has 3 effects in the "Artistic" category. I'm sure GIMP can make something almost in the exact same style.
638  Economy / Services / Re: Get your Photo Painted for 0.005 - 0.01 BTC :D on: October 26, 2015, 12:22:38 PM
Well sir I stated in OP that
Quote
I am offering my service to create a painting version of your images
Grin
So yea, basically I'm just painting it off in a photo editing software.  This is for those who don't know how to do it so I was trying my luck here if someone might be interested. Cheesy Cheesy

I do make handmade artworks but only using charcoal pencil. I'm not that good with oil painting. Cheesy

That's really not clear, y'know, though that could just be an issue of a slight, slight language barrier.

But again, anyone can do this with even free photo editing software using just one filter Undecided
639  Economy / Speculation / Re: The new Bitcoin wave is coming. Soon. on: October 26, 2015, 11:47:18 AM
It's important to note the coming wave may push this thing way way past $3000.  Do not go thinking that is the top just because.... Once we hit a tipping point he fractal pattern takes a backseat to mass euphoria and we could see tens of thousands or even as ridiculous as hundreds of thousands on this movement.

Stopped taking the post seriously here. Come on guys. I like some optimism myself but don't get so excited that you start making ludicrous predictions. These predicts of "mass adoption" and Bitcoin "going to the moon" have already happened a million times, we don't need to start bringing in predictions like "mass euphoria" as well.

Sustainable growth. That's what we need. Just like in a real economy.
640  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Eurozone crosses Rubicon as Portugal's anti-euro Left banned from power on: October 26, 2015, 11:44:00 AM
So Portugal isn't a real democracy any longer. If a president can overrule the majority of the voters in favour of a different political agenda then it's more similar to a dictatorship. If the EU is supporting such moves then that would be a really good warning for everyone.

Well the thing here is that Anibal Cavaco Silva was an elected president, and there will also be new elections for a president in 2016. It seems now though that they're going to try to get rid of the new government via a vote of no confidence, though I wonder if his constitutional powers will extend here as well and he will be able to prevent this.
