I only know about Cryptotalk. It's a campaign that was run by Yobit before.
This part of your answer is irrelevant too.

Cryptotalk runs its signature campaign in Bitcointalk through Yobit team, it is correct but, a big but, it was hosted in a last bear market, in 2019. I am sure you are here long enough to know Bitcointalk had signature campaigns years before 2019.

CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel].

It was the answer to OP's question.

So, apart from here in bitcointalk, has any other forum or website adopted the signature campaign system of advertisement?
Does theymos have a patent for signature campaign such that no other forum can replicate what is happening here without his permission.

I only know about Cryptotalk. It's a campaign that was run by Yobit before.

And you also see the reply when a member ask if he could run a signature campaign in cryptotalk forum.

https://cryptotalk.org/topic/367150-signature-campaign/
https://cryptotalk.org/topic/363807-%F0%9F%9F%A5bounty%F0%9F%9F%A5-solarblox-crypto-solar-mining-250-000-sbx-escrow-%F0%9F%A4%91-signature/ ( their bounty section I guess).

So, what happened at that time was that Cryptotalk ran a signature campaign on Bitcointalk to promote their website. They also had a signature campaign on their own website.
622  Other / Meta / Re: Signature campaign as a creation of bitcointalk on: November 02, 2023, 03:44:17 PM
It is not an invention of Bitcointalk.
I don't know who your manager is, but I hope he doesn't pay you to write posts on page 1 without reading the comments.
Chill dude, the guy isn't even wear a signature Grin

Freedomgo doesn't wear a signature? I think I'll edit the last sentence to make it clear amidst all the quotes. Although I think it was pretty clear from the context, if you read it carefully. First I tell Freedomgo that he hasn't read the comments, then I put the comments he hasn't read and finally I tell him that I hope his manager doesn't pay him to write without even reading the comments on the first page.

Sorry about that, I was just under the expectation that OP himself knows what he was saying below.

Do you know that Signature Campaign is an invention of bitcointalk.org?
I didn't know before now. I had thought that signature campaign is something that has been in practice even before creating the bitcointalk forum.

I might have rushed to share my opinion because I thought it was true. It seems that the OP might be spreading false information, but perhaps he/she didn't do enough research, just like I didn't when I replied. I got excited about it without reading all the comments first.

Come on, the way he started his sentence makes it sound really convincing. It wasn't even a question; it was more like a conclusion.

Do you know that Signature Campaign is an invention of bitcointalk.org?
I didn't know before now. I had thought that signature campaign is something that has been in practice even before creating the bitcointalk forum. But I was surprised to discover otherwise. I searched the internet for ways to earn bitcoin. Many blogs including binance news acknowledged that signature campaign is a means to earn bitcoin and it was started or it is exclusive for bitcointalk forum. Even 99bitcoins said a similar thing.
I didn't know that the forum signature campaign originated on Bitcointalk. It's a bit conflict of interest in their business because they also have their own advertisements. In a signature campaign, advertisers don't pay Bitcointalk; instead, the campaigners and their managers are the ones paid. Yet, Bitcointalk allows it because it brings in more users, which increases site traffic. It was a smart move.

This is nice to know that apart from the Bitcoin - Pizza event, HODL typo error incident, there are other things that emanated from the bitcointalk forum.
I can't compare these two things. The pizza event in the past became widely popular worldwide, while the signature campaign is known to only a few people.

So, apart from here in bitcointalk, has any other forum or website adopted the signature campaign system of advertisement?

624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will it affect your life if Bitcoin price comes to zero per Bitcoin one day? on: November 02, 2023, 11:48:35 AM
How will it affect your life if Bitcoin price comes to zero per Bitcoin one day? I have seen most of discussions related to Bitcoin price on pessimistic side only. But we should look at all the possibilities.

That's unlikely to occur because when the price drops and people get worried, not everyone can sell their holdings. The lowest price might be $1, at least. Maybe the right word to use is 'drop' or 'collapse,' and it could happen, my friend. But let's not dwell on that because the cryptocurrency market is too vast to collapse. It's not controlled by a group of people; it's owned by us within the ecosystem. So, as long as there's demand for Bitcoin, there will be a price that remains, even if the issue of high volatility isn't resolved.
625  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Using a Credit Card Demonstrate Financial Literacy? on: November 02, 2023, 11:17:23 AM
Credit cards are often associated with the wealthy who can pay off their entire balance while benefiting from various rewards and points. However, for those with limited financial means who can only afford to make the minimum monthly payment, it can lead to long-term financial problems, especially if they continue to overspend, resulting in a never-ending balance. Credit cards are essentially tools that offer convenience in spending, eliminating the need to carry large amounts of cash. Therefore, it's essential for individuals to carefully evaluate their financial situations before obtaining one, considering whether it genuinely enhances their financial comfort or merely adds to their debt burden.

In a simplified explanation, while the wealthy enjoy convenience from credit cards, which credit card companies don't profit much from, it's often the less fortunate who are essentially financing the operations of credit card companies, allowing the wealthy to continue benefiting from their services.

I am not against with having credit card so long you are being responsible about the use of it.
Because there are so many conveniences that it will provide to you especially in tight situations where you forgot to bring your cash or you are out of cash.
But if you don't want to worry about having debt to these financial companies, much better to use a debit card.
At least, you know you are spending your own money and you don't have to worry about forgetting your due date for your credit card.
Also, it will teach you how to manage your finances without incurring debt to any of these companies.

Handling a debit card is similar to handling cash, but it involves digital currency. This discussion doesn't really compare debit cards and credit cards; it focuses solely on acquiring a credit card and its potential benefits.

According to the definition of 'financial literacy,' it means making wise financial choices. Getting a credit card when you're low on cash or just want to borrow money may not be a wise financial choice for people with limited funds, because the penalties for missing payments are high.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: November 01, 2023, 11:00:28 PM
Before the fight, Fury was very confidence and I believed he might not even train well because he thought Francis was not going to be able to endure up to round 10 but it was unfortunate for him that Francis was able to knock him down to our surprised. I hope their is going to be a rematch because we need to see what's popping and what will be the fate of Fury after all his pride and confidence.

A rematch would make sense. I'm not sure if it would attract more viewers (and more money) than the first fight, but it has a huge hype potential, it could be marketed as a fight deciding on the future of boxing: if Fury wins, things go back to normal, if he loses - this proves boxing is not a serious sport if someone not specialised in it can just get in and beat the champion.
Fury said in an interview that he wouldn't mind a rematch,

There's no doubt that this rematch will generate significantly more revenue than the first fight. People are already emotionally invested in this rematch due to the controversial outcome of their initial bout. Fury is undoubtedly willing to partake, and Ngannou is unlikely to decline the substantial purse that will likely surpass the earnings from their previous encounter, thanks to his established reputation in the world of boxing. He's proven to be a tough opponent, unlike some of the other boxers whom Fury has easily dispatched.

Quote
but it'll have to be after the fight with Usyk. And I think it would be best if it was done immediately.

This fight is likely gonna happen next year, so most likely the rematch would happen in the 3rd quarter or the last quarter of next year. Nevertheless, this extended period provides both fighters with ample time for rigorous training. It's particularly important for Ngannou, giving him the opportunity to focus on enhancing his stamina and maintaining his power in the later rounds, where he previously lost by a small margin.

628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help? on: November 01, 2023, 09:46:04 PM
Bitcoin offers unique opportunities for people who want to make decent amount of money and I have the feeling that if these people start investing in Bitcoin, we will see a rapid decline in global poverty.  What do you think?

Addressing global poverty doesn't hinge on investing in Bitcoin; it's crucial for governments to take the lead in improving their economies and generating more job opportunities. A sustainable solution involves creating conditions where people can live comfortably. Investing in Bitcoin could be a consideration for the future once individuals are financially capable, as while Bitcoin is a good asset, it remains a risky investment. What people need is a consistent income source, which Bitcoin doesn't provide. It's primarily suitable for long-term investments if one aims for a life-altering outcome.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Little Advice For Gamblers on: October 31, 2023, 01:53:53 PM
Learning from the experiences of others is indeed the right approach, but sometimes our curiosity leads us to try things ourselves, and if we fail, it becomes a hard-learned lesson. Addiction is a risk that everyone faces in gambling, and severe addiction can indeed lead to the destruction of lives. It's challenging to prevent such situations because even when it comes to God's laws, we often fail to follow them, let alone the advice from someone else's experience.

We can only hope that, if we ever face addiction, the worst-case scenarios won't materialize. Addiction can take control of your life, causing you to lose friends and family, and leading to negative feelings, even potentially leading to desperation or self-harm.
630  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't Fiat the Real Ponzi on: October 31, 2023, 01:18:51 PM
While we may have a preference for Bitcoin over fiat currency, it's essential to clarify that neither of them is a Ponzi scheme. To address this question, it's important to have a clear understanding of what a Ponzi scheme is.

So here's the definition fromwebster.com/dictionary.

Quote
: an investment swindle in which some early investors are paid off with money put up by later ones in order to encourage more and bigger risks

Fiat isn't an investment, bitcoin is an alternative currency and could be an investment but it's not a "investment swindle " so the answer for your question is no.
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for stake alternatives on: October 30, 2023, 11:18:25 PM
Which casinos have good keno game. (original)

But not rigged like stake

Are you in search of an alternative gambling site to play keno, or is there an intention to tarnish Stake's reputation? Stake is widely regarded as one of the most reputable gambling sites in the crypto space, so labeling them as rigged is a serious accusation. You need to ensure you have an evidence to support such claims, my friend.
632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to value bitcoin and cryptocurrencies? on: October 30, 2023, 10:49:59 PM
The price of Bitcoin is likely influenced by the fundamental principles of supply and demand. While its fixed supply contributes to limited availability, when there's a surge in demand and people are holding onto their Bitcoin (often referred to as 'HODLing'), it can result in significant price volatility. These two factors, supply and demand, play a crucial role in determining Bitcoin's value.

I hope I was able to answer it right because honestly this question is quite tricky since crypto is different from the usual assets, so I guess we should focus on factors like utility and demand to determine it's real value.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Mattress Mack" loses nearly 10 million dollars on Astros Loss on: October 27, 2023, 02:17:41 PM
Imagine losing $10 million dollars that's 56 times our money here in our country and you can live happily ever after and even your sons and great grand sons with that money, but money for high rollers in first-world countries is really peanut, do they even know that amount if they happen to visit countries in Asia and the cost to live in these countries.

We can't really compare our lives to his. He's a millionaire, which allows him to take the risk of betting millions of dollars. The money he uses for gambling is solely for that purpose, and while we might feel envious, it's his world of high-stakes betting. He's playing with the big cards, and I'm sure he can comfortably handle any losses.

For us, it's a different story. We don't have that kind of money to wager, but we can still experience the thrill of betting by staying within our own betting range.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 27, 2023, 01:06:16 PM
I've heard a rumor that Ginebra has secured Tony Bishop as their import. Now, Bishop isn't new to the PBA, having played as an import for a different team previously. The big question is, can he bring a championship to the best team in the league?

What's your take on Tony Bishop? Do you think he has what it takes to lead Ginebra to a championship?

Here's the player's statisticis

https://www.proballers.com/basketball/player/11652/tony-bishop

Brownlee is a beast, that is why Ginebra is always on the Final in an import-reinforced conference and I doubt Tony Bishop could fill the big shoes that has been left by Justine Brownlee. They may be running in the playoff but reaching the finals is a slim possibility especially now that Junemar Fajardo is 100 percent healthy and his added experiences in the FIBA and Asiad stint really boost his morale and confidence.

SMB will the champion of this upcoming conference sans Justine Brownlee.

There's no doubt that JMF is a beast, but it's evident that SMB hasn't been the same since Coach Austria departed. So, I still believe that the coaching job plays a crucial role. Maybe Coach Tim will be the one to bring out the best in Tony Bishop, even more so than he was before. While SMB has a good chance, I think Ginebra has the potential to make it to the Finals again. That would surely be another crowd-pulling attraction.

But let us remember that coach Galent is a fan of Fajardo and his plays revolve on his prized center. Fajardo plus their import are unstoppable for me in this conference. You may have a point that coach Tim will bring out the best of Tony Bishop but as of now Bishop can't bring the best out of his teammates that Justine Brownlee does best.

San Miguel Beermen is like having two imports at this time because like i said, Fajardo's confidence is ATH with his experience on banging the big men in the FIBA and Asian games.

I've noticed that Coach Austria seems to be using Fajardo more than Coach Galent. When I compare his performance in the past to the time when Coach Austria was fired, Fajardo seemed more unstoppable and his production was much more noticeable. Of course, this is just my personal observation.

It also appears that Coach Galent is leaning more on players like CJ Perez, who may have become the main option now.

Health issues may indeed be a significant factor, as Fajardo has struggled with injuries in the past seasons. However, let's give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he performs now that he's healthy and brimming with confidence after becoming a champion in the Asian games.

635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2023, 11:53:00 AM
I thought the Suns had a good chance of winning that game, especially with their strong start. That 4th quarter run by the Lakers was the turning point. For gamblers who bet on the Lakers, the lack of effort to cover the spread can be frustrating. On the flip side, if you were betting against the Lakers, it must have felt like a winning streak as the Lakers struggled in the first 3 quarters to take the lead.
The Suns being strong early might've been the reason they're having that problem, kind of like those early sprinters on a marathon, they're likely not finish first. If they could've kept a good pace or Booker or Beal uninjured, they could've made a difference, Durant has to work harder than usual. It was a close game but Lakers did gave a bit more effort than Suns. Pretty nice of Durant to compliment James on hiswork in the court.

Quote
"He was pretty much coaching the team on how to guard certain actions. That's what he's been doing his whole career."

In this game, the Lakers pulled off a successful comeback, and it's reminiscent of their first game on the road against the defending champions. In that match, they were outscored in the early quarters but managed to stage a comeback, though they fell short against the home team. This time, they ensured victory with a big 4th quarter run.

Just take a look at the 4th quarter score: 11-28. In a single quarter, the Lakers outscored the Suns by a 17 points. I appreciate the mentality of this team, as they don't give up. Winning the 4th quarter in most games truly demonstrates their discipline as a team. The highlight of the game has to be the Lakers' excellent defense in the 4th quarter.
636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the increase in Bitcoin price benefits us on: October 27, 2023, 07:43:59 AM
Bitcoin price benefits us today. Firstly it's and increase in crypto investment, which can lead to more development in business. Second, it can lead to high capital for Bitcoin, this increase can stand as and advantage of Bitcoin to be use as payment method in many industry, which can make it more easier and user-friendly. All these have a potential benefits and positive contribution on our society, Let me have your opinion on how Bitcoin increase benefits you .

The price of Bitcoin might not matter to the majority of its users, especially those who rely on it for daily use. This is the essence of mass adoption. Price increases are beneficial, particularly for investors who anticipate future widespread adoption. So, regardless of your stance, both parties can benefit from it.

For those of us who regularly use Bitcoin for activities like gambling or other online transactions, the price isn't the primary concern. What matters most is the speed of transaction confirmation and, especially, the associated transaction fees.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2023, 06:29:58 AM

Just when it seemed like Durant was going to get the better of this legendary meetup, LeBron came through down the stretch and helped will the Lakers to a victory. This is much less impressive when you know that the Suns had two of their best players out with an injury, but I think it was a great showing. Not to mention the Suns covered the spread.

On the other hand, it's amusing how what Lillard showed during the preseason seemed like a gimmick. After a series of dull preseason games, he made an impressive debut with the Bucks, scoring 39 points. It just goes to show that preseason performances don't always reflect regular season performance.

And hats off to the 76ers' resilience! They never give up and consistently make comebacks, even if they fall short by just a point.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 26, 2023, 10:19:52 PM
I cant wait to see Lillard and Giannis, its gonna be the start of one of the most prolific duo in NBA history if they can match and have good chemistry.

In other things, yesterday it was not so good start for the young star of Spurs, i think he need to catch the NBA pace.

Most prolific is debatable but I get what you are saying.  Dame never really got to play co.sistently with so.eone of giannis's ability so let's see what he has left to give us.  Super excited to watch tonight's game hopefully it's not overshadowed by Harden and his antics.

Lillard hasn't shown much during the  preseason, and what he has shown is inaccurate shooting, especially from beyond the arc. Surprisingly, he had a good percentage in that area during his time with the Blazers. Well, let's see tonight if he'll have an impressive game in his debut in a Bucks uniform. I'm as excited as you are and can't wait to see how he performs. I'm also betting on the home team with the high spread.

Can Embiid carry the team on his shoulder and beat the new combo or Giannis + Lillard?
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, human rights, authoritarianism and war on: October 26, 2023, 01:59:24 PM
I believe that Bitcoin will only bring about a real change if it remains free from government control. Many of the conspiracy theories are fueled by the fact that everything is currently centralized. While we do have a government and need to adhere to the law, most of us aren't fully aware of the extent of surveillance they conduct. Bitcoin with its complete anonymity, has the potential to grant us true freedom by allowing us to control our own wealth and providing greater security from prying eyes.

I want to emphasize that the three factors, namely "human rights, authoritarianism, and war," have no direct correlation with Bitcoin. Bitcoin isn't inherently linked to these issues; rather, it's a matter of government laws and their proper implementation. Mismanagement of these laws can indeed lead to divisions among the people which could potentially cause war at its worse.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Used Our Wedding Savings to Play Bet on: October 26, 2023, 09:39:38 AM
Honestly, she might be better off calling off the wedding. They've been scrimping and saving for the big day, so it's clear they're not rolling in money. But then her fiancé goes and gambles it away? Talk about a wild risktaker, but it's not exactly a smart gamble. Wedding funds shouldn't go into a bet as that's just asking for trouble. If he'd won, folks might call him daring, the 'all-in' kind of guy. But since he lost, it's all on him.

Seriously, marrying a guy like that is a recipe for disaster. Making big decisions without consulting the wife? Hey, lady, maybe you should look for a different fella, someone who's not all about the high-stakes gambling. No hate on gamblers, I mean, some of us enjoy a little risk, but this is just too much.
