621  Economy / Economics / Re: Does China Control Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2019, 07:09:25 AM
I agree with every of the point you have here, when we talk of them controlling bitcoin, I am sure we would not be looking at the aspect of them being able to control the supply but the value is what they can control, and they may actually have a hand in the ways and manners for which the value of bitcoin fluctuates, but I believe that somehow, there will be a day that even china being the largest and richest country will not be able to manipulate the coin and this is where Satoshi becomes more intelligent than them.
Hope you are aware that the country is not behind mining of bitcoin and individual who invested are running the mining as a huge industry as you need to invest millions to run a farm if you are looking to have substantial hash power as it is a competitive field and there are business people who have invested elsewhere and anyone can run a mining farm as all you need is the money to purchase all the equipment and hence you cannot call that some country is controlling something, this is a decentralized market and mining is not a monopoly that is given to anyone.

They are able to manipulate the coin because there are still coins to be mined, and when it gets to that point where they will not have any coin to be manipulated, I am sure that their power will be reduced a little bit in the regulation of this coin.
How you think they will manipulate the coin, by inflating the price of bitcoin and if that is the case it is good for traders, other than that how they are going to manipulate as they are mining the coins to earn the profit and there is no way they will do something to harm the market.
622  Economy / Economics / Re: BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 6 YEARS on: November 18, 2019, 10:52:29 PM
I work online for a company (a remote job) and they pay their workers with bitcoin. Some people just use it to receive their payment and once it comes into their wallet they will sell/withdraw it to their bank account.
What kind of work you are doing and if you are willing to share i would like to know and i would not mind to work if they will pay in bitcoin. I do not have that much experience like everyone as it was not that easy to understand the market at first and since i was investing in stocks for a long time and i wanted to learn about the new market and five years went by in this market and luckily i was able to invest when the price was low.
623  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving Price Prediction $55,000 - $130,000 on: November 17, 2019, 06:07:36 PM
But the $20000 Bitcoins happened 1.5 years after halving. One and half year is a lot of time.If price changed a bit a week latter it was far from $20000.  Problem I see people are making FOMO about halving and dont even mention this fact. Noobs then believe 2019 will be new 2017. I hope there are not that many that believe this will happen in short 6 weeks.
Everyone is looking for a pump and so is the reason everyone is having their charts and prediction but none of these will be far from the truth, every market will rise eventually but you cannot expect that to happen every couple of years, many countries are planning to regulate the market and who know what all restrictions we will be facing in the future, i hope the market will rally once again but i am not expecting the steep rise we had in 2017.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 17, 2019, 05:31:20 PM
But we have to think how West indies can loss the series with Afghanistan because west indies have great T20 players like pollard, hope, Lewis maybe it shows over confidence.
It shows how good Afghanistan is rather than any team showing any over confidence and this series win is not a fluke, i know that no one gave a chance for Afghanistan to win but they proved everyone wrong and put some runs on the board and bowled splendidly and they are not having one super star to change the match as someone will rise to the occasion and perform and today it was Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
625  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin demand in economically volatile countries surges on: November 17, 2019, 04:40:10 PM
It's not   .  People can still loose with or without panicking because there are other reasons that they do like selling because they need the cash or they loose the value of their asset because it fell down .
If you really trust the bitcoin market then you would know that the market will recover eventually and without that trust you cannot invest in a market and when you make a decision to invest then you need to be a fool to sell at a loss, understand the meaning of the term investment and if you do that you will never sell at a loss and you do not need to be genius to know to hold when the market goes down.
626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 17, 2019, 03:13:19 PM
I think Clement Kaliyar is talking about the main difference of Test format and Shorter format (T-20 and T-10). however i agree with your statement that T-20 format is much more entertaining for spectators but you can't deny the fact that there are hardly any T-20 specialist who can perform in the Test cricket.
You are spot on, you cannot learn the proper technique but starting to play cricket and your only intention is to smash the ball, you will fair in the T20 and T10 format and to an extent in ODI but proper technique is necessary for a batsman and without a good defense you cannot survive in Test cricket and i doubt in the future we will see a proper Test batsman as more importance is given to T20 format.

@ for everyone who mistook what i was trying to tell, i never argued that the shorter format is not entertaining, it is the best evolution and entertaining to the core and i talked about inter gender matches and for some of the tube lights, it was a pun intended and not a recomendation as that is the only variation that is not experimented as all the experiments are done already, T20, T10 and now day night Test matches.
627  Local / India / Re: Crypto Ban Draft Bill Excluded From Upcoming Parliament Session on: November 17, 2019, 02:00:50 PM
They didn't ban anything either, rbi just restricted banks from dealing with crypto individuals, exchanges couldn't operate without bank support hence many had to shut down.

Shutting down of businesses is indirect effect of banking ban.
The RBI executed the order to shut the entire crypto market and it is a liability as it caused business losses and that is not bestow upon the RBI and if the actions lead to create financial loss then the government must intervene, technically RBI did not shut down the crypto market but if that leads to destroying and causing liability then someone should be responsible to give a concrete answer for the investors as it was a dictatorship move and none of these companies function against the rule of the land and India is a democratic country.

For the next match, Deepak chahar should be given a chance in test too. He is in superb form.
To be a bowler and play for India is a challenge now a days as there is a lot of challenges and great talents and this is the best set of talented players they had in the history of Indian cricket, world class fast bowlers and spinners and then too you have to sit in the bench or wait for other players to get injured to play in the team and if you are not performing then you will be replaced and it is a big challenge. I would like to see Deepak chahar play in the team but who should be replaced is the biggest question.
629  Local / India / Re: Crypto Ban Draft Bill Excluded From Upcoming Parliament Session on: November 16, 2019, 05:39:52 PM

No, that would be highly chaotic if government does something like that. This would lead to clear conflict of interest. It's on the directions of RBI that businesses like Zebpay halted their operations. If government comes up with temporary law to overrule the decision of RBI then that may be assumed as dictatorial decision by everyone. RBI doesn't come under government and has its own statutory backing independent of government just like Supreme Court, SEBI, ICAI and other statutory bodies.
Hope you are aware of the Monetary Policy Committee and it is control by the government and now a days nothing is transparent like they used to be in the past and RBI does not take control of everything now and hence there is no conflict of interest .when the current government came into power you know how many governors were changed because they do not listen to the central government, first it was Raghuram Rajan then came Urjit Patel and now we have Shaktikant Das, any idea why this much change in a short period of time and you think that everything is normal and regarding the bitcoin ban, the RBI does not have the power to ban anything and what they control is the banking sector and not to shut down businesses.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 16, 2019, 04:22:39 PM
What you think about West indies status now because they are in 26/1 in 6 overs and they need 119 runs from 85 balls, still 9 wickets in hand so there is any chance Afghanistan can win this match?
I am surprised to see the score board and who is this Karim Janat who destroyed the West Indies batting line up and he took 4 wickets in 3 overs and just gave 7 runs and it is a masterful performance and from this situation Afghanistan can win the match as West Indies still need 89 runs from 46 balls and Rashid Khan has 3 overs left and it is a tough target to chase now.
631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Will not Ban Bitcoin Mining! on: November 16, 2019, 02:41:56 PM
Does it or not, 70% of computing capacity lies in China for years.
Such ban never exsisted.
You think that the worlds 70% of computing power is in China or you meant that bitcoin hashing power. There was a talking point about banning mining farms because it has become a environmental issue in China as these mining farms are creating environmental damages and then the government took a stance against banning but they might have come up with some rules and regulations and a framwork to protect the nature.
632  Local / India / Re: Crypto Ban Draft Bill Excluded From Upcoming Parliament Session on: November 16, 2019, 01:45:21 PM
Straight banhammer would be like they are the King and forcing their decision on us, why don't they think that this will only increase dark trades and they won't be able to trace them if people know more about security measures they can take to remain private?
They are already dictating what you eat and how you show respect and patriotism and the old hegemony is clearly visible in almost everything and that is happening in the bitcoin market as they could hold businesses from functioning and they do not care about the loss these companies are baring and the loss of jobs and they are not able to come up with some temporary law to protect these business shows the state of our internal affairs.
633  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Whales Are Selling BTC Before Market Crash: Peter Schiff on: November 15, 2019, 06:23:04 PM
There is even a theory that there are no whales (only big holders who are not trading)
Big bitcoin holders are called as whales and majority are holding the coins for the long period.

And thus there are no market manipulation either, so all price movements are only caused by changes in aggregate demand as well as supply. Personally, I'm not very much sold on this theory, but that's not my point here. The main problem with the current market is that even relatively small investors and traders can move the market on their own (i.e. not collectively). In this way, they are the new whales, with truly big whales hiding deep under the surface
The market is not regulated and hence the possibility of manipulation is highly likely to happen and so is the reason we see instant rise and fall in the price quite often. Even a movement of huge amounts of coins from old dormant wallets can create FUD and we have seen those situation in the past where the market usually goes down when ever there is a movement of coins.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 15, 2019, 05:19:54 PM
Obviously if you want to observe proper batting and bowling techniques, then you should watch test cricket. The strategy with T20 is monotonous. The batsmen try to smash as many runs as possible and they don't care much about building the innings or even to take singles and twos. But if that is what the fans want, then the ICC should listen to them.
I cannot call it the evolution of the game but it is good to see so many variation of the match and i think only in cricket you can find this much variation, Test matches, 4 day games, ODI, T20 and now T10 and none of the other sporting events have this kind of formats in a sport, the only thing missing here is mixed matches were ladies can play alongside men like we have in tennis mixed doubles Cheesy.
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 15, 2019, 04:48:25 PM
Nowadays cricket clubs mostly prefer the shorter version of the game, due to lack of time. However, Afghanistan do have a 4-day domestic tournament in which all the five regions take part. The domestic cricket is rapidly expanding there, thanks to the increased funding from the ICC (as per the latest revenue model, ACB will receive $5 million per year during 2017-23).
The shorter version of the game will not help in developing proper batsman for the longer version of the game and in the future we will not see legit batsman who are capable of batting for a longer period of time and even if the ICC promote these longer version it will not last longer if all the cricket boards emphasis on T20 as it is a cash cow and now we have T10, its funny how things changes rapidly in a short period.
636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Abu Dhabi T10 League 2019 on: November 15, 2019, 03:29:19 PM
If i am the team owner in this format, i would look for three hard hitting batsman and fill the team with bowlers with different variation as the batsman are swinging from the start and the run rate is around 10 and the with all these tournaments the bowlers will have their confidence and morale trashed but less work load and good money and hence we might not see much injury.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 15, 2019, 02:11:07 PM
India is going strong in the first test match (predictable so far), terrible day for Bangladesh bowlers without any doubt. now interesting part is What next ?  --Declaration or Continue with batting-- All eyes on Virat, i suppose.
India might continue till Jadeja is in the crease and Virat might delay the declaration until he reaches his century as there is no urgency to declare as there is plenty of time and even if Bangladesh is to draw the match someone has to play a marathon innings and i do not see anyone capable of doing that with the bowling line up India has.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 14, 2019, 05:43:34 PM
They are going to lose and this was very expected. WI may seems a broken team but they are not that much broken yet. A series between WI and Sri Lanka would be nice in this stage :-D

Thoughts?
The main players are focused on other leagues and with the team West Indies has they could have a good series against teams like Srilanka and Pakistan and that will be interesting to watch, Afghanistan is not performing because their batsman are not in form and they are not able to find quality batsman or any other impact players that could replace Mohammad Shahzad.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 14, 2019, 04:36:26 PM
Anyone watching the match between Afghanistan and West Indies? Things not looking very rosy for Afghanistan. First of all, they conceded 164 runs in 20 overs, and then they lost the wickets of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran with just 7 runs on board. Now as usual Asghar Stanikzai is building the innings, with some help from Hazratullah Zazai. But the required run rate is climbing up.
The required run rate is climbing but Afghanistan have the batting power to win the match but they lost their 4th wicket, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan and Gulbadin Naib can change the match at any time but Cottrell and Pollard is bowling well for West Indies and if they start loosing wickets then it is game over for Afghanistan.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 14, 2019, 04:10:32 PM
I don't understand why Kohli is playing in this test match. This was an ideal opportunity to give some of the younger players an opportunity to make their test debut for India. That is, unless Kohli wanted to add a few more batting records against his name.
There is a battle going on between Kohli and Smith and if Smith would have taken rest against Pakistan then i guess Kohli would have taken rest in the series.

To put it frankly, I am getting tired of all these one sided test matches. Last month we had a very one sided series against South Africa. And now this one.
Majority of the test matches are one sided, either you see a draw or it will end up one sided and you will rarely see a competitive test match and there is nothing you can do about it.
