You should realize that cryptocurrency is the most egalitarian investment opportunity ever. The only thing an average man needs to start investing is internet connection and a few dollars. There are no customs, no licences, no "extra access" or privileged group that hoard all information. The greatest capital inflow to cryptocurrency is still ahead of us.

My biggest disappontment is Tierion (TNT). Well-established company that successfully launched mainnet, and it is a main competitor to better known Factom (FCT) - you can go through a comparison in this Reddit thread. Moreover, they implemented kind of maternode system which usually tends to be a factor of fundamental price increase. They have even some real business use-cases (for example Microsoft). However, the price has declined for majority of the last two quarters except the bullish race that affected all coins. Price remains under ICO quote and I am still holding ..

I would agree on COSS, and I recommend also ALQO. ALQO has very devoted dev team, and you can take advantage of masternode system or POS phase (coming soon). Recent price drop on all altcoins made ALQO masternode very cheap for now.

Golem has been on the scene for quite long time but I don't think that this news will succeed against pesimistic mood in the market (therefore I wouldn't excpect a significant pump). If you are interested in GNT, you might want to know more about HPP. New coin with quickly implemented parts of "crowdsourced supercomputer". Disclaimer: Yes, I hold a few HPP coins

Thoughts on shift now after the big price drop with all the coins?
It sucks, Shift is down way more than many other coins, so I expect a big rebound once the market turns positive, hopefully later this week. Consider it as an open invitation into Shift for new investors. Shift team has already managed to deliver a working product, and the actual price is undervalued. I have increased my position in Shift for a third of original portion. (thanks for for the fire sale! )

i see the presale already ended on the official website and the token sale will started on 17th Feb, do you guys know how much is the hard cap?
One more question regarding the another round of token sale - when will be a new bounty for token sale active (or announced)? Keep my fingers crossed for Lympo!

It is a good sign that HPP stayed stable in price during "red days" amond almost all altcoins. I would propose to add HPP to coinmarketcap as soon as possible (some more trading volume is required to list it there as far as I know). Do you plan to organize regular events (youtube Q&A, blog post etc.) to present your progress to community? For example a short summary once every month.

I cannot store many altcoins with trezor or ledger nano s.what is the solution to store coins for long term that are not supported to trezor or ledger?
The most secure option would be to download a software wallet for every altcoin you own, run them on your private PC/laptop, and store your wallets there. You might want to backup your wallets to a flash drive or external hard drive in case of complete destruction of the PC. And of course, your wallets would be safer if you treat your computer very wisely regarding web browsing, p*rn watching etc.

Noob here with a burning question:
Back when Bitcoin Futures were announced, everyone anticipated them being paid out in Bitcoin, and that the prices for bitcoin would skyrocket as a result. We eventually learned that the futures contracts are all cash settled, and seem to have had little effect on the price of bitcoin (if anything, its been a big steady decline since the contracts were released).
Q. people are speculating right now that because so many alt coin projects are built on the ETH/NEO foundations that ETH/NEO will rise in the coming year as well. Do we know if the success of any these alt coins will actually have an impact on the price of ETH/NEO? Or are we just assuming like the Bitcoin Futures contracts?
Thanks for the help!
A comparison of the effect of Bitcoin futures with Ethereum or NEO is a bit misleading. Investors buy to see the price higher than they entered. What drives the price higher? Demand. Bitcoin futures do not increase demand for Bitcoins on OTC market (or at least not significantly) therefore do not push the price higher technically. On the other hand, if anybody wants to participate in ICO, they must first buy ETH or NEO. Larger demand produces higher price. That is why I find more upside potential in ETH/NEO than in Bitcoin for 2018.

The main reason is that India banned all Cryto Currencies and their usage on Indian territory. Bitcoin was popular there due corruption and other factors.
India has banned the illegitimate use of Bitcoin and has stated that their stance is that Bitcoin is not legal tender. Banned is overblown. Tether and Bitfinex subpoenaed by the US a month ago news got recycled and hit yesterday which was worse than news from low volume India. Indeed, the statement was twisted and exaggerated by the media. Banning is not wide-spread, it would only apply to illegal transactions. Cointelegraph wrote a good article about it - https://cointelegraph.com/news/india-bitcoin-prices-drop-as-media-misinterprets-govts-regulation-speech

We have been in much worse situations during last two years. I remember days when large market cap coins dropped for almost 40% in one day on Poloniex. I also remember how desperate, frustrated and unprepared I was that time Nowadays, I know the key to success in cryptomarket is cold-blooded patience and sharply quick execution of your plans. (yes, YOUR plans, not following mass behaviour)

It is only a matter of time when ETH takes dominance. Bitcoin became much more an asset to invest in than a currency to exchange. If a currency is effectively used for real transactions (see majority of ICO's happens in ETH), it creates stable demand. If a cryptocurrency is only viewed as an asset, which is the case of Bitcoin, it could be severely influenced by market sentiment and speculative price movements.

Do you have any tips on solid coins that has not yet gone 1000x and have option for running a masternode. Or have masternodes in roadmap this year?
My hidden gem among masternode coins is HPP coin. HPP has an active dev team and ambitious roadmap (not just another "coin for P2P payments"). Masternodes are going to be launched in 3 weeks, and the price is very inviting now.

Lympo successfully reach token pre-sale hard cap!
5000 ETH!
Awesome!
Nice hard cap choice, this project can bring a decent coin to life. Hope you don't let the project down now that you got your investment I looked at the website today and woah! Pre-sale sold out It is just a first step to a successful second round of token sale. Btw. thanks for the summary of important information about further development - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocqbrpElUdY&t=1s Investors need to stay well informed.

You missed the first draw but there will be another one today! (hail supremnoob) I hope we will be lucky this time

Agreed. HPP is one of the promising masternode coins of Q1/18. Plenty of technical development is on their roadmap.

There is still a lot of speculation and I have already said good bye to my coins on CM. However, I have never expected the site to be online again. Let's take another popcorn and wait

It is great that ALQO team established this site so we can track progress of community funding while increasing transparency. Approximately 0.2 BTC was donated during this afternoon, let's keep up the great effort

Thank you, smasherx, for the summary of Q&A. It is completely understandable that a great coin needs great developers and these guys don't work for a bottle of whiskey. Proposed 5% fee per block is reasonable and I would vote for it (even if it means slighty less returns).
