My suspicion is that MPEX is down so people don't pull money to cash out on the price hike.
My suspicion is that ianbakewell may be part of the DDoS. And MPEx is now redirecting to whitehouse.gov bahahahahahaha Thats what happens when you run your website out of some guys basement. I suggest sdice be moved to a more secure exchange. When did mpex get hacked?

I have not received a dividend payment this week. (Got last week's.)
Network luck is pitiful (7 blocks in ~3 hours) right now. LOTS of transactions not getting confirmed as a result, so your dividend may just be stuck in limbo at the moment. BTW. Is it really needed to confirm the number of shares with satoshi's? Using the blockchain for communications isn't a good idea. It spams the system, bloating everything. Just saying... A google docs spreadsheet would be better, or listing on an exchange...

quick update: Bidders who got reported with the first batch ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=148198.msg1583680#msg1583680), please check your satoshi-type confirmation of your share holdings and that the amount of dividend you received is correct. The transaction is still not confirmed (most likely due to missing fees), so treat with care. I also expect all remaining payments to come in today, so I can create the second report. At that time I'll also create a dividend transaction for the second batch, since the report didn't make it into this weeks dividend payment, in case you were wondering about the dividend... Cool, thanks!

I don't think anything that complicated fundamentally is taking place here. When the exchange rate was roughly flat or a slow increase, SDICE was a nice way to increase your BTC holdings, especially as it corresponded with the news reports about SDICE's earnings in 2012.
However, as the value of a bitcoin increases rapidly against the dollar, it is a bad idea to hold it in SDICE. I have lost 28 BTC (market value of over $1300 at today's price), in a couple of months, while getting dividends of 1.7 BTC. Had I simply held onto my bitcoins, those would be worth $2300, while instead my shares + dividends are worth $1000. Holding a stock denominated in BTC greatly increases your risk (stock price can go up or down, as well as the value of the BTC it's valued in), so it primarily makes sense in a stable exchange environment.
+1. S.DICE will slowly increase back up after the storm settles.

Awesome I still have 0 confirms at the moment, but I will pay out as quickly as I can //DeaDTerra Meanwhile, ASICMINER's pool decided to not include the TX in their blocks because of the low fee

Bitcoin will hit $50 this month week.
Probably before I wake up in the morning. Actually, it's pretty close to $50 now.

$47 to $45 is a crash?

Friedcat has stated earlier that he thinks 30 - 40 % of the Dividends will be withheld for future development etc.... Don't forget that Friedcat and his friends also get paid by dividends...the 200.000 shares Bitfountain holds.... So I expect a steady stream of weekly dividends
hopefully yes, I was counting on it while I was buying the extra shares for pretty high prices nowadays. Tomorrow evening will tell us more about what kind of dividends can we expect. I'm also hoping that friedcat will be able to put more hashpower online soon... Definitely. Sharing more information with non-board members would also help.

What was going on in shiftybugger's mind when he said ping a few dozen times?
Look at the timestamps. They are all hours or days apart. I live on the other side of the planet to them. I would simply log into IRC and ping him to see if he was on. I wasn't trying to harass the guy - communication was just terribly difficult to accomplish on IRC. I would have much preferred email. I agree, time zones suck but I think a "message me when you're available" or "hey, I want to talk about the package, I'm in AEST and is available X to Y" would be better. Coinabul has a support email, no? Either way, it doesn't change that it's a lot more of Coinabul's fault than the buyer's fault, and covering the loss would be expected.

I'm not going to bother clicking on show/hide of another of sublime's useless posts, but from what usagi quoted: you are on the list TF you need to respond to be removed
LOL No, I'm not going to respond to you. Btw, how's thinking bitcoin will fall and another alt cyptocurrency working out for ya while I've being longing it with max leverage? Don't bother responding cause I won't read it. I've being responding actively to the thread of "I want 3x what I paid for back after I found someone to do it for cheaper, btw my requirements change every second email", but there's not much to say when I haven't got a response from support@judge.me.

One of these has been taken care of and another is in process. If you are the owner of one of the following addresses please contact me.

I confirm that I received 29,34 Bitcoins from CHM to my Adress. Together with 170BC Nefario sent me out of the blue and without further information one day, this totals about 77% of the funds I had on GLBSE the day it was closed. I have no Idea how it comes to this number, but the fact that something keeps coming in, gives me hope that I might still receive some more. I would not expect that you'll get 100% back. Pretty much every large scale investor paid a small percent back, over a long period of time, to make the creditors lose interest.

Wouldn't the people who keep on playing be reflected in the volume and the 1.9% edge line?

Alright, well I'll set his status back to "Pending" then. When is the payback due date? I'll revisit it then, if you don't mind me poking my head in here. If not, I'll just keep to myself.
It's due in a little more than a week. Let's see what happens.

miners are going offline at btcguild... more diversification?
back online. My guess is the bathroom light switch is too close to the wall outlet switch. or the breaker trips when doing Mr. Noodles in the microwave. I emailed ASICMINER to notify them that the Stratum proxy had been updated recently. That may have been why miners went offline [Disclaimer: speculation from pool operator, do not take as gospel]. Hopefully that does not become a weekly occurrence..
