$419 now at bitstamp. We should celebrate once it is stable about 420.
That'll probably happen tomorrow. It usually rises over 20 USD for a few days now.

Thanks again. Noticed you reduced the amount. Probably due to the massive price jump, right?
6363  Other / Off-topic / Re: 420 ;) on: November 14, 2013, 01:58:57 PM
Nice Cheesy. Now let's go to $500!
And our next milestone - 1000$. Have to finally start saving up my coins so I could be super rich in the future. Grin

So this is a very bad reason
Altavista were the first search engine until Google came....
That's the only thing that makes bitcoin so worthwhile ?
I did mentioned another thing. See bold text bellow:

Bitcoin was the first. It was the one from which all other coins were created. The original idea (or the best implementation which still is Bitcoin) always gets the credit, while others just bite the dust. Grin
6365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: sub-units of Bitcoin on: November 13, 2013, 04:59:43 PM
I prefer bitmills, uBTCs and bitcents. I just do. Your suggested format just doesn't stick in my mind. Usually, the more numbers, the more difficult.  Undecided
6366  Other / Off-topic / Re: Celebration when price hits 420 on: November 13, 2013, 03:51:37 PM
419.99000

So close now!

Where, I don't see it that close Smiley

https://www.mtgox.com/ (Now $421). Their prices are always way higher compared to other exchanges, so it's better to look at Bitstamp or btc-e.
Yeah, Mt. Gox, due to withdrawal issues, is no longer a credible source. Bitstamp is probably the best choice. BTC-E has big withdrawal fees.

No insult has been said, no insult is baseless.
Yeah, this is totally not baseless and not an insult Grin :

Nobody cares about litecoin, so no.
Well there are many who do, so your wrong here. Second most popular coin. Anyways, there will always be those who move on and those who keep hanging on. If that happens, we'll see who picked the right choice.
Let me fix that.
Nobody "smart" cares about litecoin.

Back for my daily bonus. Thanks again. Especially with Bitcoin over $350 now.

Great, it's your choice not to believe. Also, if you actually at least want to sound credible on these forums, you should rethink your stance on "no arguments for thing I don't like".  Also, it doesn't matter who made the arguments, it matters whether they explain your choice in a substantial way, in a way that shows, you can defend your opinion. This is called a discussion board for a reason. Smiley
This part of the forum is called "Off-topic" for a reason.
Yeah, for Off-topic discusions, not baseless insults. Roll Eyes

When do you think it will hit 420? Smiley
I'd say 2014, January. The rate of growth in value has decreased and there even was a small fall a couple of days back (at least in Bitstamp).

LTC fanboys.  Roll Eyes
Oh no, I deleted the Litecoin client after trying it out long time ago. I don't even know the current price, like I'd care. I just know that it's currently the only alt that might have a future due to a difference from BTC. Also, your response again proves you have no argument. I'm a person of reason and logic (when it comes to technology, economics, so on). Looks like you aren't. Cheesy
Why would I waste my time providing arguments. For all you know these arguments can be coming from a high/drunk person, some kid, nazi or whatever. They provide no relevance to anything.
I just don't believe in LTC, let's keep it at that.

Wrong decade, comrade. Grin

Jokes aside, do you really think anyone will fall for that Roll Eyes ? Dude, look at your activity, look at the text. Now, do understand why I'm asking?

This is the truth,sorry.
There isn't one truth. There is my truth and your truth. My truth is that if a person is into Litecoins, as well as Bitcoins isn't stupid. Your truth is that people who like Litecoins = not smart. Well your truth seems kind of weak, with the lack of arguments and all... My truth has several arguments: they understand cryptography (that's smart), they are open-minded and not afraid to experiment because LTC is less accepted among people. And on your side... *crik crik crik*

@OP (Don't want to qoute the whole long post to answer only 1 question) The Bitcoin wallet for Android is a lightweight client. I think it only checks the parts of the blockchain that are associated with your addresses. However, don't qoute me on that, there might be someone who might know more about the software.
6377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I went down to the bitcoin ATM today... on: November 11, 2013, 07:32:38 PM
Great, every layperson will associate Bitcoin as the thing they had to pay for to pay off those hackers!

Not good!

What's next, Somali pirates asking for ransom payments in Bitcoin?
Just a few years away until this comparison might no longer look so unusual. Lips sealed
6378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoLock - wow they really are making some money on: November 11, 2013, 07:11:27 PM
I wonder how does the virus deal with transactions? If it unlocks on send of the coins then after getting the encryption key, you can double-spend the transaction.
6379  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which operating system(s) do you use? (Poll) on: November 11, 2013, 05:47:40 PM
Please add the major mobile OSes to the poll.

I think someone should make a separate poll for mobile OS.

You don't know that, there's always a possibility Bitcoin might disappear.
I'll personally buy up all of the coins at $1 per BTC. So it can't happen.
If a crash happens from $340 to $1, most people will transition to some other coin like Litecoin. Only few will probably be left, trying to scavange from what's left.
Nobody cares about litecoin, so no.
