From what I have read it is just a cosmetic issue. If it bugs you just reboot it.
646  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 24, 2014, 09:36:34 PM
Afternoon all,

Just did the big, "you big dummy"  I forgot to change my ip address on my other miner.  So I just knocked off my running miner.  I'm getting those pool errors again.

Mon Jan 20 15:21:50 2014 daemon.info sysinit: ntpd: bad address '3.openwrt.pool.ntp.org'
Mon Jan 20 15:21:50 2014 daemon.info sysinit: ntpd: could not resolve peer 3.openwrt.pool.ntp.org, skipping
Mon Jan 20 15:22:20 2014 daemon.info sysinit: ntpd: bad address '2.openwrt.pool.ntp.org'
Mon Jan 20 15:22:20 2014 daemon.info sysinit: ntpd: could not resolve peer 2.openwrt.pool.ntp.org, skipping
Mon Jan 20 15:22:50 2014 daemon.info sysinit: ntpd: bad address '1.openwrt.pool.ntp.org'
Mon Jan 20 15:22:50 2014 daemon.info sysinit: ntpd: could not resolve peer 1.openwrt.pool.ntp.org, skipping
Mon Jan 20 15:23:20 2014 daemon.info sysinit: ntpd: bad address '0.openwrt.pool.ntp.org'
Mon Jan 20 15:23:20 2014 daemon.info sysinit: ntpd: could not resolve peer 0.openwrt.pool.ntp.org, skipping

I forgot the process of fixing this.  I'm going to look back in this thread, but I'm hurting over here.  After I get this fix, I do need to change the Ip address on the running miner, correct?

I believe that you need to set your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 in the web interface.

If you don't know the IP of the machine then just use Advanced IP scanner to find it on your network.

id gladly go down and knock on the front door armed with a camera  Tongue
Or, we could contact them and set up an appointment, like respectable human beings approaching a well-established business.  Like they offered in their opening post.  Just a thought.

Where is the fun in that.

Put your tinfoil hat on and get with the program. Smiley

Cat is not amused.

Still waiting for the earth shattering problem.

That's what I thought.

It is a front end issue and as such will not affect your payout. What more do you need.

You incorrectly assume all/most/some people are malcontent/worried/anal about front-end issues.

Anyway, I'm not going to argue this point. Just an opinion.

Of course you are not because anything else that you can come up with apart from the chart issue is not really a problem at all.

Seems like some people need h2 to tuck them in a night and tell them everything is going to be alright.

Nice try, troll-boy.

Tell me if I'm right, is it 50 watts per unit ?

because 500 watts seems too much for just one cooling system shown here

I believe it is 60w per

Bitmain,

Possibly being cheeky but if you don't ask you don't get Smiley

Ordered 2 which are hashing away nicely, then you gave me 2 coupons so I ordered another couple which are on the way.

If some more coupons appeared in my account I would definately order more from you before CNY  Wink

Same here.

What is there to communicate. Something is broken, we all know what it is. Just like everything here it will be fixed at some point. It is a front end issue and as such will not affect your payout. What more do you need.

I'm new to middlecoin.

My stats haven't updated since Wednesday afternoon. I had a quick look at other people's stats. A lot are in the same state. A few we're updated yesterday. None seem to be up to date.

Is this a normal state of affairs? Or is there something wrong with the system at the moment.

I'm getting my payouts, but the last one was less than expected. (The total pool payout went up by 10% but mine didn't.) I'd like to analyse what's happened.

Same shit, different day.

The stats are working. The charts are not. No it is not normal, shit happens. I suggest you read a bit more of the thread and you will find that there are other options to see your stats.

Do these two machines look acceptable with these hw errors ?

Ant 1

Ant 2

658  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 24, 2014, 03:43:11 AM
Tried everything won't get past 150-160gh on that one with high HW errors. Can't overclock either, when i try it drops even lower to 100gh with a lot of the asics X'ing out.

From what I can see on your screen shot that is not really all that high as far as HW errors. I get more and I am sure others do to. It does feel wrong to me as I am used to scrypt and zero hw errors but apparently it is par for the course with sha256.

I had the same issue as you when I overclocked my machines. One would not go over 160. I think it might have been a heat issue as I moved it and I just rebooted it again and it went up to 200+.
659  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 24, 2014, 02:40:55 AM
Ok all good, got both ants overclocked.

Next question. Is there anyway to make the extra fans I added to them stay on all the time. As it is now they keep coming on and off.

Sorry, I am a bit lost here.

Do I just type 'vi /etc/config/asic-freq' into putty ?

Yes that should work. You can also do
cd /etc/config/
vi asic-freq

I am in , thanks. I needed to put a space between vi and /
