Just checked Binance...i can withdraw 2 btc per day still.  I have no verification level at all.  old account though.  has the 0.06 btc limit not been applied ?  If I have fallen through the cracks the nice  Cool

AFAIK it would only apply to new accounts created after the announcement, you should be good Smiley

I think they were going to phase it in over 2 months for exsisting account holders.

@brian_armstrong
1/ Some really sketchy behavior coming out of the SEC recently.

https://twitter.com/brian_armstrong/status/1435439291715358721

... gee I wonder who is really behind this strange SEC behaviour? ... who could it be? ... like someone who doesn't want to lose control of interest rates? ... like an entity that has a monopoly on setting interest rates? ... like the Federal Reserve cartel?

... whenever the financial market regulators and start acting really strange, like ignoring blatant manipulation, appointing themselves judge. jury and executioner ... it'll be the Central bank behind it, guaranteed ... people always act strange when tapped by the biggest crooks in the room ... with the politician's and judge's blessing of course

100% man. Whatever it takes.

The timing always dazzles me...

Bring out the FUD dice (new layout :p)

Yep, standard shit. They are scared now, a movement has begun and they know that their control over the masses by kidnapping peoples finances is over. No more being able to be a financial hitman is something they don't like.

A bit late to the party with this dip, but my god if this doesn't look like a concerted effort to make Bitcoin look like shit as a country adopts it for the first time I don't know what does.

This is absolutely an effort to by larger forces to mess things up. Some of the increase over the last few months was probably due to purchasing of coins by this manipulators in preparation for this dump.

I expect I return to the spike low of 42k and some real decent buying to follow.

These arseholes are just delaying the inevitable, they know their criminal monetary episode is over, and they are starting to fight back.

Luckily for us Bitcoin has a hard limit on supply, and being that us and more (growing everyday) will keep buying the dip every time no matter what. The powers that be are fucked.

my tandy model 4P (Z80 cpu, 2x 5.25 floppies, 128 megs ram bank switched) had a 1200 built in, as well as my tandy 100 "laptop" with its 300 baud <- that thing rocked, keyboard is still better than prolly 90% of the keyboards on anything today, laptop or desktop. excepting the original IBM keyboards. freakin tanks those things (they weigh more than some entire modern computers) and i still have a couple. retro build here i come 5.25 MFM hard drives for the win! well perhaps not but still..

CP/M, win3.11... dos 3.3  good times

I had no idea that Tandy was still producing TRS-80s up till that 90s. The 4P looks pretty sweet, did you actually use it as a luggable though? I wonder how many luggables were actually moved around. Now, the Model 100, that was sweet. I have its competitor, the Epson Hx-20, I don't use it as much as I should but I get it out several times. In fact, the embedded dot matrix printer is what I use to print my wallet seeds (encrypted of course). I keep wondering if I could ever get it to create them natively rather then me just typing them in.

yup lugged that sucker all over the place. man it was heavy. but its nice big screen (vs a kaypro i had, ugh), dual floppies, modem, spots to keep maybe 10 floppies safe in the case, decent kb, standard parallel printer port and the ability to use the extra bank switched 64k as a ramdisk made it pretty useful for that period of my life.

the model 100 doesnt have a printer alas. as its kinda the ultimate in minimalist full sized keyboard computing. runs on 4 "AA" batteries. beat that nowadays lol

May not have a printer, but the screen on the HX-20 is tiny in comparison. The model 100 was definitely a better device.

cant help but laugh at the "connect to the internet.. in MINUTES!" and today my main gear stays connected 24/7 lol

my external usr 56k couldnt ever manage full speed (crap POTS) but even 33.6 was magnitudes better than my 1st 300 baud for my c64, and later a 14.4 that you cradled the handset on the acoustic coupler.

buddy doing heavy lifting. a nice back to back 52 then 52.5

I think I will not do any sales today.

maybe tuesday or thursday.

why sell at all?
1% $ loan against btc at 25% LTV at Celsius (you can borrow up to $2 mil).
That 1% interest is most likely deductible as well, especially if you have a LLC.
NOT a financial advice and, personally, i haven't taken such loan yet..but I also don't sell btc.

Absoulutely! Never sell, even for massive profits. Just generate an income from your stash in one way or another.

Edit: replied to the wrong post

I sell often and will do so.

Due to mining ⛏ expanding the mine is a slow steady job.

We are suffering a huge excess of cheap power. it is good but you can fuck up if you rush to buy high priced gear.

So we want to expand a lot but at well priced gear.

But we dont want to buy on credit .

So if 4 btc comes into the mine we keep 2 and sell 2.

The mine grows
the bills get paid
the coins stack.

If I sell.

0.01 five times this week. I still will have some to stack.

My trading is still trading. but hard gear is part of the equation for me.

But I did mine and hold from 29k to 41k .

then sold a few pieces of coins and old gear for expenses.

Took me years to understand juggling ratios

cash
bills
coins
gear.

it is more work
it is more complex.
but I have reached a point that profit will happen so risk is lower.

Yeah your situation is a little different because it's a business. But I'm sure you have a stash set aside from over the years you've been mining and that you don't have draw upon for business expenses (or your trading). Don't sell that stash.

Infact, assuming you can stay mining for the rest of your days your income can come directly from that. So, surely you have no reason to sell any of your stash, baring an emergency, etc.

You just gave me an idea. We could start a "Bitcoin School" where we could teach newbies about bitcoin, mining, blockchain and so on. A lot of people aren't getting far with DYOR (in fact it steers them towards shitcoins and scams where they lose their interest for crypto all together). People need mentors. This would also promote Bitcoin adoption.

What do you guys think? Would anyone be willing to start something like that with me?

Sadly, most noobs don't really care. There's a cartoon (which I can't find now) with a booth with "when to buy and sell" and a huge line of people and one with "financial planning" with nobody. That's where we are. I used to go to a Bitcoin meetup and when the price was on the up, it would be packed and when the price was quiet, we'd be lucky to get three people. People just want to know how to get rich quick and believe Bitcoin is yesterday's news (it's not). You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

A sad truth right there.

https://medium.com/blockstream-markets-weekly/blockstream-markets-weekly-sep-3-2021

- Twitter working on BTC support
- El Salvador approves $150M BTC fund
- Miners record $1.4B in monthly revenue
- Skybridge capital expects $100K by year-end
- Paul Tudor Jones rumored to be preparing new BTC fund
- Institutional interest: BTC linked stonks are outperforming BTC
- and volatility drops as BTC tests smashes through $50K once again

And price goes down.

Head scratching...

Head scratching indeed because the same thing is not really happening for shitcoins. Which makes me think their is the possibility of either:

  • Another top like earlier in the year
  • When Bitcoin goes high enough people are tkaing profits and putting them into shitcoins
  • Entities are doing their best to supress the price of Bitcoin against rising demand

Regarding the third option, very possible, as we are not getting dumps but more like just putting a cap on the gains. These entities may not have the ability to force a dump. Though I think the second option is more likely. Obviously, the smart money is not doing this, but if there is anything about this space it is that it is filled with a shitload of dumb money.

I do think the price is going to blow straight up in a massive way soon though.

For a bit of a laugh, Shitcoin SV is now ranked 47 on CMC.
I'm more surprised that BCH-A is higher now! For some reason it doesn't show on the right rank on CMC though.
This might be a great moment to get rid of some Forkcoins if you still have them. Don't forget that BCH/BCH-A/BSV don't have replay protection, so take measures before you send the wrong Forks to an exchange and lose them.

Not promoting shitcoins here, only promoting to get rid of them for real Bitcoin Cheesy

I can see the pump and dump crews are at it again. Would be a great time to offload that stinking pile of crap, I never held onto my BCH long enough for that though.

stop teasing us and give us a new ath, that up and down around 50k is unbearable

Always some assholes who don’t want us to have nice things. Selling & shorting at 50k  Roll Eyes

They'll be burnt, always happens eventually..
659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 03, 2021, 11:12:26 AM
Shitcoins going bananas and Bitcoin not able to stay above 50k. Starting to have the same feel as it did earlier this year in May. I don't think we're going to drop but it's always frustrating to see this happen.
660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 02, 2021, 08:47:58 AM
Never out of this feeling. It's excruciating.

My god that is so true. It's never hesitate for me though, always simple laziness. I only do my bitcoin purchases at the end of the day when work is finished, children are in bed, house work done, all that crap. Then I'm usually like "bugger it I'm too tired to log into exchanges send money etc, price is going sideways or its down a bit anyway, It'll still be the same tomorrow so I can afford to be lazy." I have missed out on so many good buys with this attitude. I do the same thing for heaps of other crap too, but those things don't usually lose my profit.
