6501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 years ago... you could have earned almost $15,000 at today's value in 3 sec... on: June 07, 2017, 05:06:45 PM
We could be saying the same thing after 7 years again. I would say stop regretting and start investing  Tongue I wonder how many people used that site, got some coins and forgot about it or did not care at all lol.
6502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: June 07, 2017, 04:15:03 PM
I guess it was really obvious bitcoin is the banks worst fear it can really make them bankrupt as bitcoin becoming more popular in all over the world so no doubt that it can but maybe we can still use bank for today in withdrawing money or withdrawing bitcoin and exchanging it in cash but sooner or later we when the time come that we can use bitcoin as a currency i guess cash will be useless in that that when we can invest in bitcoin and the same time we can use  it as a currency.
Fiat cash will never be useless. People will still use fiat, no matter how much popular bitcoins become. Price stability is an issue. Using bitcoin as a sole currency will cause a chaos in economy. We will see deflation/inflation in economy.
6503  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin credit card? on: June 06, 2017, 02:18:03 PM
This could be an interesting option but actualy difficult to execute in reality. Bitcoin credit card should be issued by some credit card issuer or bank and precindition for this is full regulation of Bitcoin. Since something like this is sti very risky I don't think that companies like Visa or Master Card would be interested to support Bitcoin credit cards. And debit cards are different story.
Involving banks actually destroys the whole concept of bitcoins being decentralized. The bank will start to regulate bitcoins and will have to control your coins if they are get to involved.
It is highly unlikely to happen to get a bitcoin credit card cause someone will have to regulate the coins. More over people will get scammed very easily due to how bitcoins work. Debit Cards are the only option currently available.
6504  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Purchases on: June 05, 2017, 04:07:34 PM
Bitcoin for now can purchase a coffee of piece of cakes at Starbucks coffee they are now accepting bitcoin as an electronic money in change to their commercialized products.
Buying small things with bitcoin right now  is implausible. Look at the fee you have to pay, makes no sense if you want buy a cup of coffee or just a piece of cake. The fee makes the price higher so better to use cash. And if you pay low fee you will have to wait for days to get your coffee.
6505  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will it happen? on: June 04, 2017, 05:37:07 PM
Buying small things with bitcoins like have a cup of coffee or grabbing something to eat on your way to work is currently absurd cause of the current transaction fee with increases the over price you pay for it. Pay small fee? Then you will have to wait for hours maybe days to get your coffee. We need to wait till a better fix is out there.
6506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 03, 2017, 06:32:08 PM
Sometimes when I withdraw BTC to my wallet, I set really low fees like 50-70 satoshi per byte and wait for weeks, because I'm not going to spend those coins in the near future anyway. I think it's a good way to save a bit of money, because if you look back, you might realize that your fees have added up to a big amount in USD value, while it wasn't always necessary to get those coins confirmed asap.
So, do you use low fees, or always want to get confirmation in a next few blocks?
Isn't 50-70 sat per byte extremely low fees? They are going to take ages to confirm. I usually pay up high fees when doing any kind of transactions, don't feel like waiting. I once had an transaction with 296.011 sat per byte. It took almost 4 days to confirm. How long does it take to confirm with 50 sat/b fee?
6507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Holding On To Your Bitcoin? on: June 03, 2017, 11:21:00 AM
Holding is actually a good form of investment. I am currently holding 75% of my coins and using the rest to trade/buy/sell alts. Bitcoin does have a potential but we never know whats going to happen in the future.
6508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you feel when win in gambling? on: June 03, 2017, 10:30:40 AM
Normal wins have normal feelings. But when i win something big or able to beat exceptional odds like 1% chance of winning and won,  i feel extremely satisfied, like i was able to achieve something good. I feel generous too and give some my shares to other people  Tongue.
6509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 03, 2017, 10:10:48 AM
because you can make a lot of money out of it
It's not just about winning a lot of money. It's more complicated. They lose money, they end up chasing their losses. When they get to recover their loss, they feel good. Also getting lucky and winning big makes them feel good. This "good feeling" is what that makes them addicted to gambling.
6510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: June 02, 2017, 09:24:40 PM
I keep a threshold for profit and loss. The threshold is based on the amount i can afford to lose. If that threshold is reached i end up selling. This way if i suffer loss, the amount isn't that very big. Though the profit also not very huge but it's less riskier than holding it especially with alt coins.
6511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: June 02, 2017, 08:34:30 PM
If someone  starts showing hatred towards bitcoin, i would let them be. I would respect his opinion. Would try to understand why he hates bitcoin. Try to know his point of view towards bitcoins. Then i will try to explain him by trying to counter his logic. If he still hates bitcoins, then there is nothing much I could do.
6512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: About investing in Btc on: June 02, 2017, 07:12:42 PM
Every investment is a risk. You need to take risks to make profits. Coins are very volatile, but if the coins have high potential and different than other coins in some way they will rise up. So hold it till you think its the right time to sell it. Remember you got to risk it to get the biscuit! Wink
6513  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if I buy 3BTC now and forget about them for 10 years??? on: June 02, 2017, 07:07:21 PM
Would be the smartest decision you made in all your life especially if you are such a loser that 3 BTC is all you can buy.

You should do it now mate!
How would that be the smartest decision? You can never know if bitcoin is going to survive the next 10 years or it's going to fall and became valueless. It's just a risky investment.
You better invest it somewhere where you will get some interest and can keep track of bitcoins. If anything bad is about to happen just sell them.
6514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees!!! on: June 02, 2017, 03:28:29 PM
It's really good question. Nowdays some gambling websites have old fixed transaction fee which causes problem for withdrawing of serious amount of bitcoin. So to fix this situation, you have to withdraw small amounts or you can change your gambling website. There is no another chanse or maybe contacting with support and fixing situation with him/her will be another choise.
You should try crypto-games.net  Smiley They allow you to choose how much you want to pay as transaction fee. You can choose depending on your need. They also have the "free transaction" option, the the fee is very low so get prepared to wait for few days. Other sites should implement this feature too where we can choose how much we want to pay as few.
6515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: June 02, 2017, 01:51:22 PM
For me, when I hear bitcoin it sounds money for me. So what is wrong with that? I mean, I understand that people will not look bitcoin as money but what can I expect? I know bitcoin nowadays becomes higher and higher so it is really sounds good for me and Bitcoin for me is also Money for me.  Grin
Reading your post, i am assuming that you are using bitcoin because the price is going up that is higher day by day. So i guess you are not using it as a form of money/currency, you are using more like an asset, a form of storage with a good interest.
6516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I always lose all my tokens and btc on gambling~ on: June 02, 2017, 12:46:27 PM
I guess, gambling is not actually for me.
I kinda feel bad on all the tokens wasted on gambling but it's kinda my "when I'm bored" hobby.
Do you guys have any tips on how to not to lose all you tokens on gambling?
You said it yourself. Its your "hobby" when you are bored. So get a new hobby. Stop gambling and find something else interesting. Something which is more safe and interesting. Something which might help you build up yourself and your future.
6517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: June 02, 2017, 09:36:41 AM
Probably because of the security risks that make cash better than bitcoin.
Cash has security risks too. You can easily get scammed with cash by reversing transaction. Don't forget about counterfeit cash. It's hard to detect. What if you were carrying a shitload of money to seal off a deal and on your way you get mugged? Both fiat and crypto currency has their advantages and disadvantages.
6518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin die soon? on: June 02, 2017, 09:29:52 AM
Chances of bitcoin dying now is really low. A day might become where bitcoin won't be very much popular like it is right now, but won't die. Just less people using it than usual. The transaction fee is actually currently an issue for lower amount of bitcoin transaction, but seems like it isn't affecting the price/coin yet. Lets just hope for a fix.
6519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used in space? on: June 02, 2017, 09:21:54 AM
Why would someone want to use bitcoin in space? They have a lot of other things to worry about rather than using bitcoin Tongue Don't see any use of bitcoin/fiat currency right now lol. And yeah, as long as you are able to get connected to the internet (the connection situated inside the the earth) you will be able to use bitcoins.
6520  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think ISIS uses Bitcoin? on: June 02, 2017, 09:14:09 AM
We all know that Bitcoin is also popular to criminals because they can use it without exposing their identity. It will be more convenient to them to use Bitcoin so that they can hide their identity. Do you think that terrorist groups like ISIS use it for their transactions?
They might be using bitcoin and again they might not be using bitcoins and have no clue what bitcoins are. But whats the difference? They are committing act of terrorism, just using a different form currency. They can still hide their identity using fiat currency, we all know that.
