Bitcoin fixes this

Particularly if it goes above 100k this year.

On chain data regarding supply/demand starting to point the other way (not good way). It's expected that there might be some people exiting out at these levels as they missed doing so before on the way down 3 months ago. Also some people taking some profit from buys in the low 30s. Hopefully it doesn't continue. I don't think it will. It is probably the correction that will allow us to fill up so that we can power through ATH.

Below pics are from William Clemente's newsletter.

Seems as though the traditional markets are weighing us down a little. Kind of sucks, but we all know that if things move too deep the FED will be there to brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr all the problems away.

Now it seems that we have broken resistance and that we are going to 50K in the blink of an eye.

$46,325.22 on bitstamp.

Waiting for trolldhon and his theories.

Theories??? It's math and science pal. That ain't no theory.

Since when did math and data science not include statistical theories?
One theory is the amount of short positions are still over leveraged last I checked (with $2 billion open positions). The bears are refusing to exit their losing positions, instead are holding onto their shorts Bitcoin as it rises and finds support above the 200 Day MA Roll Eyes
What happens theoretically when these positions get liquidated is they have to buy back into Bitcoin. This is how the $50-60K "blink of an eye" can occur. All theory obviously, but 35% shorts vs longs in a bull market is still over leveraged imo.
Remember when price crashed 30% in a day? The market was over leveraged long, the bulls got liquidated. Some theorized this would happen, I ignored it. I won't ignore this scenario in the opposite direction. That would be naive.
Ideally everyone exists their losing positions before liquidation, or at least at different prices. But they don't, and they never learn.

It was just a joke, its what proudhon always says.

off topic question for users of Tor.

Is darkfailllnkf4vf.onion and http://dreadditevelidot.onion still operational? I went to check them out for first time in years and they are both down.

If they aren't a thing anymore is there any sites that replace them?

I don't know about those specifically, what were they? But new onion sites use the v3 address which is longer, about 56 characters rather than 16.

I vaguely remember something about darkfail being like a directory ... perhaps similar to the hidden wiki.

Ah that makes a lot of sense, and yeah looks like they've upgraded the domain names to the v3. Thanks for letting me know.

Dark Fail is just a directory of legitimate onion sites to help prevent phishing. Dread is an onion forum kind of like reddit.

I know that Wall Observation is a little off topic  Tongue but there's a sizeable wall at $38k on Stamp just waiting to be pulled down (hopefully) and not too much resistance after that. We all know how quickly walls can get pulled or munched away...

I was just looking at it

Hopefully we have some hungry buyers.

The good thing about sellwalls is that buyers can get their coins without pushing the pricer (and thus buying at higher prices in the process).
These are opportunities that cry for being taken, imo.

And that's why they always get eaten if only on 1 exchnage and not others. The arbitrage oppotunity is massive.

The dude misses 40 k already

But the dude understands very well that a big push UP followed by a small correction…

Is the way to go.

Rinse repeat

Yep, can't go up in a straight line.

What I'm trying to understand is this something that may encourage miners to go elsewhere, or is it just a matter of more paperwork, or is it just nothingburger and won't be enforced.

You can pry my coins from my cold dead hands, and even then you won't get them.
If I was mining I would not be doing it in the USA because of electricity not because of any new bullshit legislation that has been brought in.

Yeah, but miners don't usually pay retail electricity rates.

If anyone has been keeping up with the recent FUD it seems like there could be a big one coming out of the USA with some new kind of bullshit legislation.

If it does go through as is, does anyone here think this will be an actual problem? I'm not a miner nor US based atm so don't know how much it affect the people who are.

Yes, Bitcoin will crash and burn and will never recover. Sell your bitcoins while you still can.

Binance getting regulated hard.

https://twitter.com/binance/status/1421033049098174468?s=21

No more futures/derivatives trading in several Euro countries.

So far Binance was a rogue exchange operating illegaly. Now the CEO came to the bright conclusion, that if they want to conitue operating, they have to get a licence in each country. I wouldn't be surprised if Binance turns out to be the new Mt Gox. I just wonder what is the IQ score of those traders keeping funds on that exchange. Trading bots there are one big hell of a mess. I really doubt any of these bots can bring a profit for a longer period. Especially judging by the most trades of magnitute 0.00x.  Grin Grin Grin Since the traders realised losses in the last 2 months on all exchanges are above $50 bil, I can only imagine the misery of these n00b traders, esp. in binance.

I don't think they're a mt gox. But, they are certainly dodgy, sort of like bitmex. Definitely can't trust them.

What options do we have then? Specially those outside of US?

There are crap loads of decent exchanges and plenty outside of the US. Bitstamp and kraken have been pretty solid.

barts and reverse barts are back people

Been noticing the same thing.  Has something taken the place of Bitmex?  Still trying to figure out the dynamics of this.

Could be something to do with the whale on bitfinex.

... feels like the next leg of this bull market might be underway, who sodl the correction?

I don't know if the next leg has started yet, but, from what I'm seeing with the on-chain analysis there is about another 3 months before long term holders have filled their bags again. Price may stay the same, dip a little further or even head back up while this is happening, but what I do know is at the end of this time the price will definitely be off the lows and trending up. Then maybe another 1 - 3 months for the new entrants to arrive again and the price will go up several times. 100k will be broken this time around.

Does anyone know why GBTC FUD did not affect the price? I was waiting with a little cash but there was no drop in the price. Angry Angry
my last time I bought it was around 29500 and it went up an hour later to around 34,000, it was perfect timing. Cheesy

And buying with $700. I don't know I'm ready if the price continues to go down although I think that unless something big happens during this week, the bottom for the end of the year will be 27K.

Next levels:

700$  ----- 28k
1200$ ---- 27k
800$ ----- 26k
1000$ --- 25k

and enough.  Grin Grin

We don't know where the bottom will be, but if there is one certainty in life it is that the central banks will always print and the governments will always do fiscal spending packages. Therefore eventually the price will go up (along with every other asset known to man). The only thing we/you have to be sure of is "can I hold, without selling forever if need be?" if your answer is yes, everything will be good.

As I mentioned above bitcoin price rises have a lot to do with increasing supply of fiat currency. And the monetary system requires ever increasing amounts of fiat, It's just how it was designed. Increasing fiat supply is therefore guaranteed. If it doesn't we end up with a Soviet style collapse. The CBs and Govs are never going to let that happen. So brrrrrrr.

Bitcoin is a long term savings vehicle, treat it as one rather than as an investment.

Not just BTC that looks a bit shit, legacy markets are having trouble too. I wonder if we'll be getting a broad correction soon, or if the FED will preempt it with some more brrrr.

You know, everything seems to be heading in a real shitty direction. I was going to move into the rural area a little when I buy a house, no more than 45min out from the city, but I feel I should move much further out now and become completely independant on my land. The world is heading towards a dark place and has been for a good while now.

i hear you..its ugly...has been for awhile now   two choices really...and i guess i should be happy that there are...bury your head and wait for what comes or get out there and affect what positive change you can

i have been at that crossroads time and again   for me personally there is no choice really...i have to keep trying and just do the best i can

It's funny, I consider these crossroads all the time myself too, maybe everyone does and we are just waiting for the right moment and movement to come into being. I consider trying to start something like this myself sometimes, but I'm getting older now and my hatred of the world keeps growing so I also think why bother. I guess that's just depression with the world talking though. When Bitcoin goes up again, I'm sure my motivation will return, but will it make a difference? Probably not.
