Ha-ha. So my old rednoW account has been hacked so be careful - don't trust it anymore ... bye-bye ))

Never Trusted you anyway!

It's ok, right way! ))

By the way ... did you see current speed increase with xmr mining on Vega running 2 threads with blockchain drivers and HBCC enabled?
Vega can handle 2kh/s now.
How do you think can it be applied to eth mining? 2 dag files per gpu with async access?
Vega can handle it I think ...

Ain't allowed to comment on that.
Well, I found the miner capable to hash with 2 DAGs at 1 GPU. It is old good Genoil miner.
With single DAG it shows 40-41mhs, with 2 DAGs it shows 42-42.5 mhs.
This is all less then Claymore's 44.2mhs, maybe due to ineffective single-thread of Genoil's.

Let it run for a while to see pool results.

Guys

I have followed the instructions here and im not getting the same results...Vega 56 with 64 bios. If i use 1012+1012 i see a hashrate of about 800 h/s but if i raise the intensity to anything above that i get 0 h/s. If i check pool side it shows 400 h/s

Am i missing something ?

-block chain drivers
-hbmm at max i have 16gb
-windows 10
-gpu min state 1050 P6
-gpu max state 1150 P7
-Mem at 950
-voltage at 1000 on both gpu and mem

I do have the 64 bios on the vega 56

Any help would be appreciated

No need to set HBCC slider do the max. Try to go for ~14gb position.
Also check if temps are ok.
With this settings you will run at the max possible gpu freq and voltage regardless what you've set. It is a blockchain driver bug.

Can you guys tell me what GPU frequncy you are using...and are you using both the state 6 and state 7 ? And how about voltage...i have so far gotten mine to mine at 1012+1012...tried at 1512+1512 and i het 0 H/s

Thanks in advance

Move back to Vega56 bios and use strictly the Hellae's guide. Also make sure you've allocated a lot of virtual memory in system performance properties (24-32gb should be ok I think).

Mr Claymore is the new  ver 9.8 coming out today
He likes to release fastest miners on Earth but now he has difficult task to get more then 2kh/s with Vega ))

You... left... the OCL in the binary... and it's not even packed! That... was kind of a let down.

OCL build on runtime like good idea for new chipsets so the miner can support all OCL based devices.

Well... the issue being, anyone with half a clue can get your kernel... putting it in the binary as AMD IL, for example, would allow support for pretty much everything that uses the Catalyst compiler, I believe. The only outlier would be Vega, which requires the ROCm stack - which in turn uses the LLVM/Clang toolchain. For that exception, you could simply include a Vega kernel as ISA in the miner.

You also didn't really protect the miner at all - not only was it not packed, or any anti-debugging traps laid, but you didn't even check for the common environment vars used for debugging or kernel dumping...
Why should he do it now when he didn't get close to top speeds like yours or Claymore's?
When he will - he will certainly did ))
But now all protection methods will result in anti-virus software misdetection ...

It might be stupid to add Vega 56 bios on them, but that's something I haven't saw tested yet.
I saw report that Vega64 won't boot with Vega56 bios.
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: September 20, 2017, 02:24:36 PM
I have a vega 64 , stock bios , blockchain driver and 4gb ram.
I can't set voltage, and I can't set HBCC slider, but I reach 1800mh/s too.
Yes, I saw it, good find! Does it work with 2016+1600 intensity?
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: September 20, 2017, 06:44:41 AM
My mod is doing 600h @ 50watt on the 1060. 3x 1060 cards, 1800@150watt.
could you post nvidia-smi proof?
and I have rabbit in my pocket with my Vega 64 doing 1990h/s with the same 150watt )))
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: September 20, 2017, 06:37:39 AM
Maybe SP_ could do a Monero mod, to help them resist the urge to flash their cards with the RX Vega 64 bios Grin

I have already done a monero mod for pascal cards. Works best on windows 7 and custom launchconfig.

gtx 1060 3gb/6gb ~600, gtx 1070 ~800
Vega 54 is doing 1800h/s with 150watt, you need to rework your mod quickly )))

Have you seen the crazy ass stuff going on with RX Vega 56 - there is going to be so many dead Vega cards in a few months.

Not sure how this is related to sp_ modded opensource nvidia kernels.

Looks like those vegas will die happy mining cryptonight.

And just when I said it's boring something happens.

Why should it die if it is running stock memory and below stock gpu clocks with downvolting?

Look at reports on HBM2 pricing, then you would realise Samsung is binning their HBM2 yields.

Samsung is giving AMD a big discount to take the lowest binned units, which is why AMD can hit the $400 price point with RX Vega 56.

The best binned units of HBM2 sell for around $150 for 8GB.

It is pretty clear, the HBM2 on RX Vega 56 is long way off that rating for quality and voltage tolerances.

The fact is you don't need to even flash vega64 bios to vega56 to run xmr fast.
Even with its 1.25v HBM2 Vega56 can handle modest 920mhz memory clock and it is enough for 1.8kh/s.
Eth is different story with needed higher memclock and power ...

Trying to run 2 threads per 1 Vega card and getting 0 hashrate (single thread runs fine). What options would you recommend? How to enable multiple async mode) I'm in Windows 10.

Can you send your parameters?

start eminer -S eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -U wallet_address -P x -N vega -M 5,5 -intensity 28 -kernel 3,3

My Vega is card 5.
I tried different intensities (dag intensity too) and different kernels (1,2,3).
Speed 0

With 1 instance it hashes but best speed is only 41-42mhs with kernel 2 while Claymore's 10 runs at 44.2 mhs

Can you test 5 minutes like this;
eminer -M 5 -S eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -U wallet_address.vega -P x -N vega -intensity 27 -kernel 3

Best kernel is 3 but it depends of your GPU, you should test best for your vega. I will add thread count on next release, default 2. I don't have any vega for test but I will try find for you.

Only 36mhs with this settings, Claymore is doing 44.2

So atm no working solution for windows 7 with Claymore 10 and blockchain drivers? I've read someone has successfully run with such setup.

"First" unnoficial drivers, works fine.
You mean robinhood driver? Didn't work for me ((

Hello,
I am new here and keen about this discussion! :-)
What I like to learn from you is how you define the powerconsum of your card:
Example:
System idle without card: 23 Watt
System idle with one Vega: 45 Watt
System mining xmr: 180 Watt

How do you calculate power from wall with this values.

Cheers

Oskar
My numbers are diff between mining and idle mode. It is easier to get and one can always add idle wattage of his system.

And how would you calculate  the powerconsum with my values?
135watt mining xmr.
