A little bit of light on a dim Monday.  I feel exactly zero sympathy for this asshole.  I feel a little bit for his family.  But I watched him personally cheer on the lawsuits coming out of the project he supported.

What he built was so CLOSE to a good idea but based on such a bad idea there was no saving it.

I saw many people saying it didn't matter if CSW was a fraudulent asshole, what was important was the fundamentals. No, the character of people is important. Steer clear of such people as much as you possibly can.

This is exactly like it.

I have become less and less agreeable to three-wheelers over the years. Chopped VWs were really the only ones I ever thought worthwhile.

I do give a pass for those physically unable to ride a proper motorcycle. But there are better options even for many of them.

His grandmother gave it to him to sell and get a real bike (he bought his first starter bike from me cheap a few years ago).

She bought it to keep riding in her 80's!

She got a few more years of wind in her hair out of it and I respect her for that.

I've never been a fan of trikes but they still beat the shit out of cars.

I think I would ride one of these if I couldn't balance a bike anymore.

*20 pages to go!

Can't argue with one iota of that. Good deal all around.

Well, truth is, I'm just not a joiner. So I'm just poking a bit of light fun.

Come on Bitcoin. I'm never going to be able to lie on a bed wearing sunglasses covered in $100 bills and holding a gun at this rate...

https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/17387140/bitcoin-boy-millionaire-erik-finman-told-to-drop-out/

ERIK Finman became the youngest Bitcoin millionaire at 18 after investing in the cryptocurrency aged 12 - but his teacher told him he'd never amount to anything.

The Bitcoin mogul was told to "drop out" of high school and work at McDonald's because he'd "never amount to anything more in life".

Little fucker

"Getting rich" does not necessarily mean amounting to anything. Good for him for making a good decision though.

Next up: Citizens with private renewable energy capture will be forced to sell it back to the public grid.

I can hear the politicians now: "We must socialize all private renewable energy...for the greater good."

There was a fuss a while back about some state not allowing people to disconnect from the grid if they were self sufficient (Florida?) Not sure what became of that.

The news today of Intel getting into the mining chip game didn't seem to have an immediate impact on the market, but this is the sort of news that give other companies the warm and fuzzy feeling inside.  I could see other companies who have had "mining chips primarily sourced from China" on the CONS side of their presentation now have something to put on the PROS side.  A 200+ billion dollar company getting into Bitcoin mining is a pretty good signal that it's going to be big business for some time to come.  For years we've heard about how Bitcoin mining wasn't a big enough slice of pie for companies like Intel to care about.  Today, that is no longer true.  Absolutely amazing.  This has potential to be a price catalyst.

Quite frankly, I'd prefer they upped their GPU game.

For example, high inflation affects us all, but only a very small segment of the world population is motivated enough to actually do anything about preserving their wealth. Or even CAN do anything about it. Even in countries where they currently have hyperinflation, you would think that by now everyone there would own a little bitcoin, but they still don't.

One of the benefits of making people live paycheck to paycheck, I guess.

Sorry but I’m #TEAMDJOKOVJC

I am unvaxxed & proud to stay strong on that. I have natural immunity from a previous infection (it really wasn’t that bad). No trial vaccines will enter my system, sorry not sorry.

I don't really know much about Djokovjc but I know that if present day Australia is on one side, I'm probably gonna be on the other.

if you use Starlink Internet and have problems with speed and disconnections, you probably think of things like solar flares, space debris and asteroids - but the problem is actually much closer to the Earth than you think Smiley

Starlink satellite dishes have a self-heating feature to melt snow, which may be why cats are drawn to it, reports the Guardian. Engineers created this feature to stop snow from interfering with the signal, but can the dish handle a pile of felines? On Twitter, Taylor says five cats snuggling on his dish interrupts his video streaming and “slows everything down.”

He must have used cat5 cable.

Run a miner without running a node? I find that odd, but ok I guess.

Not at all. When you're mining with a pool, all you're doing is hashing.

Bye bye Firefox
Its very likely that this perception of the general public about how bad Bitcoin is to the environment, and how it effects climate change is partly the reason why its taken a little fall. I'm not really complaining too much about that to be honest, I get to earn a little more Bitcoin than I would have if it stayed where it was at, and I'm confident in the future we'll actually be able to largely reduce this reputation. Its just annoying to see brands, and services I prefer coming out with nonsense like this. I know they haven't completely removed it yet, since they're conducting a review, but they likely will after they feel the pressure from the public.

The Mozilla foundation had already shown signs they'd been compromised. Fortunately, people are picking up on these things ever more quickly and the wait for alternatives gets shorter all the time.

Not sure many potheads can really make an impact on studies posted on pubmed by the National Institute of Health... but yea, Otherwise I understand your skepticism.

Those people went to uni. I also went to uni. I can tell you that it's not a stretch.
