ibuyltc is on ##hyperstake-otc if someone is willing to sell. He'd like to increase is stash to 100K.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HYP] HyperStake | 750% PoS | Advanced Coin Control Wallet | 11 Markets on: November 06, 2014, 12:41:37 AM
It means that
weight = (min(block age, 30 days) - 8 hours) * block amount

But from the start of Truckcoin, and therefore HyperStake, something in the hashing calculations called the stake modifier has been set to allow staking no sooner than 8.8 days.  So before the change, instead of 8 hours it was using 8.8 days for the calculation.

What this means is that weight actually starts accumulating at 8 hours, but that weight is meaningless until 8.8 days. In the coin control I think it is best to leave it at 0 until 8.8 days so that people don't get confused.

I hope that all makes at least a little bit of sense.
Fixing this could be something to consider for the BigHardFork project (putting everything that we want to hardfork in one single release, to minimise trauma on services).

My trading plan:
1. Become HYPlionaire - done
2. Sell at least* 25% of my stake on XMR/HYP when the price is at 5K or more, until I get 10K XMR (estimated top 50 in XMR)
3. Do the same on BTC/HYP until I recoverered all the EUR I spent on crypto
4. Either buy a lot of MINT to sustain the price (NOT a investment advice - I'm just sentimental with MINT) or buy XAG (silver), very undervalued
5. We'll see.

* at least because in the context of HyperShield phase I (breaking the pump), I could sell up to 100% of my stake.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / PoS multipool? on: November 05, 2014, 11:44:06 PM
Are people interested in a pos-multipool? I understood that Kushed is not but others are.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CrazyLoaf's CrazySteak(TM) High PoS Investment Journal on: November 05, 2014, 11:34:21 PM
Probably You are right in some points and it is Your investments plan but if We look at whole crypto We will see ONE BIG PRICE DUMP. HYP got some attention right now but its price is dumping hard and will not get back to 8k any time soon. Will see how much ppl will be on IRC channel when price will hit 2-1k range. Best of luck for everyone
This +100.  Same thing with every one of the many many coins that have had their 15 minutes of fame and had the 'best community ever!'.
Fact 1: Dump is over and the amount of people in the IRC is close to the ATH (and was also at the bottom of the dump).
Fact 2: During and after the dump, we set up revolutionnary StackingPool with HyperPool, had our first multipool operational and designed HyperShield, that I am personally overseering. Other projects are on the way too.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps 2.1 UPDATE REQUIRED - HARDFORK JULY 4 2014 to 200% Annual PoS on: November 05, 2014, 09:18:44 PM
Re: CrazyLoaf.  The abruptness of the about-face on HBN and CAPs, the large dumps  to shake confidence and the level at which he now puts down HBN and CAPs are bit odd.  Add to that to timing that David Latapie just sold a large amount of HYP off market and under value to a special friend of HYP.  Nice little bonus for promoting HYP and putting down HYP CAPs and TEK maybe?  That's right out of the XMR handbook, it wouldn't surprise me at all.
FUD better.

I always liked the CAP community. Don't make me regret it.
(Hypnotique, is that you?)
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperStake OTC Trading Thread on: November 05, 2014, 09:13:40 PM
Is this still current? Would like to know if this still works or I should stick to polo...
I had never been a popular thread. You should mention in on the ANN and I will add it for the new OP ANN.

669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - [HYP] Hyperstake Pool - First of its Kind PoS Pool (HyperPool) on: November 05, 2014, 08:26:53 PM
So, when will we have a multi pos pool?
One pool for all(most) high pos coins...?

Happy staking
You mean minting several PoS and selling them for HYP?
670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin 500% PoS SuperStake ZERO PREMINE on: November 05, 2014, 08:05:04 PM
I have noticed it has become more easier to wait for low diff of 0.000061.
Do you mean that HYP network (around 2.1) is THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND TIMES more secure than TEK's?

No. Because TEK is a hybrid and HYP is a pure POS coin. They don't really directly compare in security. The POW network difficulty... welll, I'll just pull the json.
{
"proof-of-work" : 237857.13633377,
"proof-of-stake" : 0.00006450,
"search-interval" : 1
}

As you know, I'm heavily into both of these coins, and I'm not going to badmouth either one. Honest comparisons are good, but on this one it's apples and oranges. I think HYP is the best secured and best functioning pure High PoS coin, but it's security is actually several orders of magnitude lower than TEK from a purely technical standpoint. Granted, it's harder to mount a 51% attack on HYP or any PoS coin that it would be on a pure PoW coin. But hybrids are the most secure of all, AND continue to function if something goes wrong with one of the proofs of work.

Both coins have strong merits and some problems. I have a strong position in both, and I consider them both worthy of it.
Thank for this detailled reply.

Don't have to worry about that Wink A nice core portfolio is BTC (public ledger/network effects) + XMR (private ledger/whale support) + HYP (hedge/crypto asset/mining alternative).
Could not have said better. Or maybe "public store of value, private store of value, creator of store of value".

I'm not sure why someone would want to mergemine a PoS coin.
it be innovative, and definitely neat. Also both coins would benefit as stakers would help secure both networks and be rewarded for it.
As long as we are the coin to merge mine with and not the coin merge mining with another one, why not.

ANycoins we should talk to?  I think we could start with TRK (as that's where we came from), then maybe TEK, HBN, and Caps. What do you guys think? Anyone that could reach out to these coins?
Suggested order of integration
1. TRK
2. HBN
3. CAP
4. MINT
4. PHS
5. GRW
6. TEK

My worry is if we do mergemine PoS and the coin we are mining goes off the rails (massive FUD storm, community goes sour etc) will it effect Hyperstake?  Since the two coins at that point would be closely related since it will be using the same share to validate among two block chains I would say it could take a toll on HYP.
I don't think what happends on the daughter coin affects the mother coin. Does LTC suffers or benefit from DOGE (out of the recognition to be "valuable enough" for being a mothercoin for DOGE)? I don't think so, so for me it is a pretty safe bet. Now, I am not an expert on merge mining economy.

The problem with merge minting is that those other coins have little reason to be merge minted.
Network protection and multipool raping? PHS had to go full PoS because of this.
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperLoan Logs on: November 05, 2014, 05:43:52 PM
thanks David. Sure will do! I will download the new fancy HYP wallet on my laptop at store and will send the spare HYPs from the forum so you all can see it :-)
Also will do some screenshot of the loan adress which i have at home.
Ty again!

Consider ordering a custom theme for your shop. Check this post: HyperJobs, paying in HYP... Plus promoting HYP as a start of real economy. This kills so many birds with one stone!
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CrazyLoaf's HyperStake (HYP) Project Idea/Sharing Thread on: November 05, 2014, 05:37:23 PM
For HyperJobs: http://coinhr.com/
I agree with myagui (welcome!): pay people in HYP, they'll get further attached. Even if they dump at the beginning, they'll eventually grow tired of i later. Plus, once multisend with triggers is implemented, recurring payment will be much easier than even with BTC (or, hell forbid, fiat).

Cold storage minting + mobile = BOOM!

Cold storage minting + mobile + social = DOUBLE BOOM!
I finalise HyperShield then I move to HTML5 wallet

I like the ideas, only I do not see how adding hash power could help with stopping a dump (someone selling too many coins on an exchange)
but I may be missing something.
More hash = more buy. It compensates the sell pressure with a buy pressure.

Recently another coin suffered from a large dump by Crazyloaf and consequently the price remained half what it was before the dump.
I acquired a big chunk of that dump, so I felt happy to have bought cheap coins but also bad about the continuing low price.
So, I went into the exchange where this happened and strategically placed a buy order at the (still high) remaining sell price to get the
statistics back up to normal price, then I placed a few small buy offers at a much higher price than what was left over after the dump.
I noticed a few others also starting to act and moving their prices up, so in a few steps I placed newer and higher buy offers and got
a few others to follow, so the price ended up double what it was after the dump and stayed there. I did not use much BTC at all to do this,
so it is not required to be a whale to influence price strategically and bring it back to a sustainable level.
I feel that kind of price control might be needed after a dump to control the damage done by the price dump, so maybe you want to add that to the list.
I believe you did not need much BTC because TEK (this is TEK, right?) has a pathetically low volume. Now that doesn't mean your strategy is not worth interesting. Maybe as a less costy complement to nitro, so an added step to place just before it?
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / HyperLoan on: November 05, 2014, 01:21:04 AM
New rule for HyperLoan (starting from round 3, so starting from now): if you mention the dedicated address, you will have priority. Reason: way more fair if I have everyone's address upon nomination.

And remember that the HYPlionnaire, part deux promotion still runs!
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperLoan Logs on: November 05, 2014, 01:14:10 AM
Yes congratulations to you as well!! Did you receive your 4k yet? I have already received mine so hopefully you did yesterday so the stake race can begin!
Since I did not receive the two addresses at the same moment (I will update the rule so that anyone who may get chosen will have an address already set up, to prevent this to happen again), I could send at the same time, so chances are the race would be unfair.
I just sent the 4000 HYP to paulsonnumismatics today. Hopefully starting from tomorrow, he will be able to adverstise it in his shop!
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HYP] HyperStake | 750% PoS | Advanced Coin Control Wallet | 11 Markets on: November 05, 2014, 12:59:21 AM
The point being that having a few more HYP is not as important as having a few more people with HYP.
That. Plus having more volume (natural volume, of course not fake volume).

Giveaways work for you. By giving away some of the coins, you increase the value of all of them, including yours. And the coins you have left are worth more than what you gave away was worth before you gave it away.
