That was mean't as a joke.

And you also might want to learn what is a heat exchanger.

The system would not be connected to a bath tub directly, but via a heat exchanger.

And I still stand at my point that water cooling is safe when you know what you are doing.

Oh I see lol.  Hmmm I go look it up.

In Russia they are actually taking advantage of the heat produced by miners, and they have built water cooled Bitfury-based miner (Sunrise series).
So those miners are not only mining btc, but also working as 'water boilers'.
Ja. As I've brought up before, I'd think miners supplying heat for thermal pool spa's would be a great way to go. Beats using only gas or electric as direct heat!

It would be a really nice project to grab some old Ant C1's, then upgrade them with some Hotmine (Bitfury 16nm) boards and hook them up to a bath tub via a heat exchanger.  Cheesy

Few of those and you could even build a spa resort for people interested in Bitcoin.

If anybody is interested, you are free to use this as a business idea.  Grin

And if a mistake occurs, the customer gets electrocuted lol?? Yes, it is unlikely to occur but lapses do occur. It will be ok to do in a home setting I guess but laws in a commercial setting would prevent water being too close to electricity I would think. I suspect it wont pass safety standards in my country though. Juz my 2 cents thoughts anyways, not tryin to be disagreeable Smiley
663  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Genernal water coolling solution for AntMiner S9 S7 D3 L3+ , Pangolin M3 on: January 06, 2018, 12:51:58 PM
I dont think it is smart either. One error and water leaks, damaging equipment and is a safety hazard. Dont forget, these things are run 24/7. I juz dont find it smart. The miners are alaays placed closely together. It could be a catastrophe if water leaks everywhere.

However, I am curious, at wat temperatures do they run at?
664  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer s9 Jan Batch fatal error on: January 06, 2018, 12:35:11 PM
I guess it is a good idea to buy 2 or 3 spare fans and keep it juz in case
665  Economy / Services / Re: Interview a Bitcoin Miner on: January 06, 2018, 09:19:52 AM
Hi all,

I am a reporter and am hoping to interview a miner for a long form story about the "life as a miner." If you think you would be up for this and have a story to tell please feel free to send me a direct message. It would be great to get this done so any help would be much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Aaron

Arent there alot of this on the net and youtube already for quite awhile now??
666  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Considering buying 10 S9's or equivalent - Need help deciding to move forward on: January 06, 2018, 08:35:32 AM
Well, thats the idea that got me started 1 month ago, in the first place.

Setting up a farm of 10+ miners, ROI in X months, blah blah blah.

And up-to-date, I had accomplished only these few things : purchased pre-order M3 miners, a little bit of BTC in my online wallet, awaiting for my Nano S Ledger and pending account limit increase/verification from Xfers.

Very frustrating, I can tell you that. It has been a roller coaster ride since I left my last fulltime day-job and embark on this BTC adventure. Everything seems so feasible on theory, but its nuts in the real world.

Lastly, the cryptocompare calculator is incorrect on the diff count. Do not use that crap.

Be careful and dont overpay for miners. Difficulty goes up and profitability comes down fast over time
667  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 06, 2018, 08:24:41 AM
I live in the midwest United States and asked Scott to meet me which he has agreed to.

I will visit Wisconsin late next week to see things with my own eyes. No pictures or videos will be taken so everyone will just have to go by my word of what I see.

stay tuned

The thing is if one connects some S9 looking machine to a pool worker, and the rate becomes 16TH, it could easily be 2 machines doing it and not 1.

All the fellow has to do is connect 1 machine in front of u and send an SMS to a fren to acrivate another machine on the same worker. It is easy to do..

Basically, wat was done in that Slushpool office in that video can be replicated easily infront of u. Simple slide of hand or sorts. Not even difficult. In the halong utube vid, there was a screen showin 4TH being hashed for a few secs. Slushpool showed 16th. It is possible rhat it was 4th + 12th equals 16th here.

So, u should set up your own worker with a complex name and ask him to connect to it and make sure he does not contact anyone once he has seen that worker nane. Otherwise, it can juz be a simple slide of hand trick infront of u. Or perhaps some other way that can detect how many machines are on that worker. Nicehash shows such info??

I hope offordscott understands the concerns

Just my 2 cents
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone using Ucoustic soundproof cabinet? on: January 05, 2018, 06:35:39 PM
Dude, the antminers are alot noisier than GPU. It really doesnt work for a home setting unless u have heavy soundproofing.
669  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What is the average lifespan of an Antminer S9 on: January 05, 2018, 06:04:37 PM
Antminer-s9 become a more profitable business, electrically efficient to generate 1.6 BTC Monthly. Well, we receive the orders that wise people are investing to set up a Mining form with huge number of antminer s9 is being installed. One mining unit that only cost $500, can generate 1.6 Bitcoin Monthly with electrical efficiency. If you calculate with today’s current price of bitcoin. That is equal to 2500$ Per bitcoin. Your small investment of 500$ will bring a 500 % perfect money monthly. It is very big profit in any business market.
Something really wrong with your bitcoin calculator lol
670  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My Bitcoin mining farm under construction on: January 05, 2018, 05:57:07 PM
Lizza, have u ordered the machines yet or not? Their price has juz increased unfortunately.
671  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 05, 2018, 05:53:07 PM
Sandal_Hat,

I have not been given permission to divulge further information about the DragonMint at this time.

If I had it my way, every 4.5 - 5.0 star member of this forum would get their own free miner to review, but I'm strictly a pawn in this game. I don't have that kind of sway at Halong.

Like I've said before... come to Brookfield, Wisconsin, USA (20 minutes West of the city of Milwaukee) and I'll be happy to show you some units currently in action. My phone number is +1-262-844-5773. I have a few demos lined up for the next couple of weeks already. If you're looking to by 1000+ units, I'd be happy to have you in my town, show you the miner and perhaps go out for drinks after and all be happy together.

Scott O.

but u wont just show a credible video and review of it which will take far less time. I believe it is because u cant do so....

Why not juz send a copy to one of the legendaries here for review. Prove my gut feeling wrong and I will apologize and remove all my posts from this thread.

I am in Asia. Maybe someone in USA can take u up on this.
672  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 05, 2018, 05:43:31 PM
Your wish has been granted, Mr Newbie Forum Member itzazkrit! Let's steal (the thunder) from the rich and give to the poor...

Here is something I've worked up in a Google spreadsheet that shows what's either currently on the market or supposedly coming in 2018:

I can hear it now... "THAT'S NOT PROOF! ANYONE CAN MAKE A SPREADSHEET WITH FANCY COLORS!" My response to that will be, sure... anyone can do it, but up until now... no one has... so, all you 5-star forum superusers, instead of waiting around from some magically photograph, get off your lazy ass and compile some data!

Ok... are we having fun yet?!

Scott O.

Can we start talking about technical stuff now?  Keep it up Scott!  Eff the junkies.

Thats juz the thing. U take the trouble and time to post so much crap and to even do all this excel stuff but u wont just show a credible video and review of it which will take far less time. I believe it is because u cant do so....
I have nothing against u or anyone but thats juz wat it looks like to me. Why not juz send a copy to one of the legendaries here for review. Prove my gut feeling wrong and I will apologize and remove all my posts from this thread.
673  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 05, 2018, 01:48:09 PM
Mr Sandal_@$$_Hat, I'm sorry, but you're assumptions are just simply wrong. You are making up conspiracy theories to comfort yourself and to make yourself look good to all your fellow forum bunny friends.

Your bs is kinda obvious here....

Just my 2 cents gut feeling

Common sense dude. I gain nothing from looking good or bad here. I juz state my gut.
674  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 05, 2018, 01:44:13 PM
I'm sorry Mr/Mrs Sandal_Hat, but I'm afraid you don't understand the complexities of wholesale versus retail, logistics and scaling. Do you run a manufacturing company of your own? Do you sell highly complex electronic equipment internationally? Who the hell are you dude/dudette?! How many mining rigs are you currently running yourself? Etc. Etc. You are only brave behind a digital username. Unless you can prove to me that you're more than just forum bunny, you'll be just a voice in the wilderness to me.

lol this is pure bullshit...your post has no sense.

This is pretty much common sense.  Splitting orders have nothing to do with any of the decentralization/centralization/etc thing u juz mention among other things....

Your bs is kinda obvious here....

So according to your reply, minimum order buy for miners will always be for 5 miners at once? Thre will be no selling miners 1 by 1, to little miners like me? I don't think that is good way to sell your units. Well its easier to sell in bulk, but again...i have mixed feelings about this Sad

In the past u can order 5 units at once. Now, the miners are out of stock and u can only order if u place an order of 1000+ unit at once. Somehow, they "have stock" if u order alot more.

Anyways, since they seem to want to limit their "customer base" to a certain amount, I got a gut feeling that they may not allow the 5 miners per order option to be available again.
There is a possibility that from now till march/april/etc, they will juz accept 1000+ unit per order, because they dont want too many more customers....this is to limit the number of complains later when nothing is shipped. This is the reason for such behavior I believe. I cant figure any other proper reason anyways.

Just my 2 cents gut feeling
675  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 05, 2018, 01:22:27 PM
Your guess is bad. That’s not how it works. If only large companies are making large orders for large dollar amounts, the reprocessing on the mining industry / market would be HUGE. It would be utterly disastrous to fail to deliver to people ordering 1000+ units. While one of the desired outcomes is to decentralize the mining manufacturing industry, selling one or two units at a time will NOT accomplish this. Selling thousands of units at a time is a more efficient use of the companies resources at this current moment in time.

lol this is pure bullshit...your post has no sense. U make more when u have more sales. U are even asking for money first haha. It is easy to create more invoices and courier out more parcels via dhl/fedex/etc. This isnt alot of invoices/customers when it is 5 per order lol and it gives u around 8k USD that u wanna be paid for first. U have no possible cashflow issues either since u are paid first.

U are asking for 1000+ units per order because u want the voice of 1 person complaining later, and not hundreds complaining....when nothing is shipped.
676  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 05, 2018, 01:02:32 PM
Then why not just send Philip a copy. He writes good detailed reviews and have 200+ trust rating. I dont think he can be bought over.

Halong has a minimum of 5 miner for an order.
They have no stock now but will somehow have stock if u order 1000+ miners in one order?? They will not distribute this 1000+ miners into multiple orders?

I believe the above is because they want to limit the number of buyers. So, assuming this goes bad later, there wont be 5000+ complaints from the public. There will be more like 100 complains instead. This way, it will be abit low key and perhaps easier for them to get away and maybe not even investigated. They dont wanna be hauled to court like butterfly labs. All those who endorsed the company will either dissapear if they are anonymous or perhaps claim to be a victim as well, etc.

Thats just my gut feeling. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

Just my 2 cents.
677  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer T3+ coming out in China tmrw - 5000 units on: January 04, 2018, 12:51:59 PM
Actually a number of forum members have stated they like the T9's specs in that they're basically bullet proof and the chip temps are much lower than an S9.  At least that's how the previous batches of T9's have been.

Oh i know, I manage over 1200 T9s and they are 10x as reliable as the S9. The problem is these are even less efficient then the original T9 at an absolutely insane price. Hence why I said this looks like a chip dump, especially if the rumors of bitmain announcing a new miner this month are true.

The new miner is rumour to be for btc or ltc?
678  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 04, 2018, 11:43:06 AM
Damn, u guys are funny lol
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LINDA-PoW/PoS-99% APR- MASTERNODE-MULTI-WALLET ( NEW THREAD) on: January 03, 2018, 07:52:36 AM
Definitely BINANCE or HitBTC would be good exchanges ... the currency still has a very low price ... 50 or 100 Satoshis for a coin with Staking and masternode is a low price.

In addition, the transactions are instantaneous and the rewards without having a masternode are very interesting.

I have ~ 22Mil of Linda coin  24/7 in staking ... concretely 21864430.88751042 LINDA and I am hold them and I will not sell less than 150 satoshis  Grin

  • STAKE Linda:
  • Results for one day ... concretely today  Roll Eyes :
  • Excel totalized:

At the moment with the LINDA at 17 Satoshis I'm winning ~50€/day ... not bad Cool

How do u atake lindacoin? Juz put it in the wallet?
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone using Ucoustic soundproof cabinet? on: January 02, 2018, 09:47:02 AM
Does it actually block the sound properly??? The sound does not leak from the hole where the air vents are? Sound usually travels through any hole.
