You notice those are all tax havens right? Last I checked Liberia is not outperforming the US. There is a reason they are flying those flags, it is not for patriotism.

Maybe we should build a WALLBOAT on the Mexican border, just one long twisted boat that sits across the Rio Grande River. There will be so much boat you'll get tired of all the boat we have!
6702  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unexplained wealth order on: October 12, 2018, 03:02:57 PM
Ive always thought the UK as a country, under any common law, maritime law or civil law it is for the prosecuting party to 'proof' beyond reasonable doubt guilt; rather than the accused having to prove innocence.

maxim ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat (“the burden of proof is on the one who declares, not on one who denies”).

I try to stay away from these blacks dictionary law - freeman on the land types.. so I usually switch off when those sort of videos are recommended on youtube.. due to my weird and wonderful searches.

If you notice I didn't suggest any videos or say anything about freemen on the land or anything. I know what you are saying, most of those guys are dopes and don't have a clue. However common law isn't some fringe nut job conspiracy theory, it has been the basis of individual freedom for thousands of years. This persona they try to cast around it is to discredit it and try to keep people from understanding it does in fact hold great power, and if you know how it works it can give you great power over yourself and your rights. In fact, without it, we would have no rights except the scraps our overlords graciously leave behind. It is the last truly free system of law left on Earth based on the simple premise that you don't get to harm others, and they have nearly eradicated it. Also this court is for HUMANS not PERSONS. If you don't know the difference between the two you should.

6703  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Brexit - Why do they call a second referendum a "people's vote" on: October 12, 2018, 08:43:44 AM
The core of the question is though, if now the majority votes for not leaving how can you deny their choice?

Wouldnt that be non democratic?

The majority can still vote no and cement the results of the first vote Smiley

True, but what is the point of having a vote if it is just ignored? Also what is stopping them from just voting over and over again until they get the result they want? No. This is all contrived establishment creep and PR trying to pull Britain into the EU against popular will.
6704  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unexplained wealth order on: October 12, 2018, 08:38:15 AM
My ears perked up a bit as I was driving to work and I caught parts of a story involving this interesting tool. So from what I understand it is currently aimed at foreign officials and their families, strictly in the UK.

Say you appear on paper to have to much money, granted the case I heard was fairly extravagant, but the problem was the state had no proof. So the new law requires you to prove your wealth is legitimate. Now I thought this may be of particular interest here as I've heard a couple people may have made a large amount of money in crypto.

It just seems baffling to me that instead of investigating and building a case they are requiring people to prove they earned the money legally themselves. If you can't you lose and they have the authority at that point to begin seizing assets. Now depending on how the UK at the time favors BTC or any crypto for the sake of this discussion, they could attempt to force a forfeiture of your property. I just wonder how long before powers such as this are expanded to encompass a larger sample of people with unexplained personal wealth.

I suggest you do some reading on the difference between common law and maritime admiralty law. The system of contract law/maritime law has been trying very hard to crush the last few remaining common law court systems. Common law is where all of our human rights stem from, especially in the US. The commercial system has long been in the process of subverting these rights via manufactured consent. One of the results of this is that it doesn't matter what you do or who you are, if they want what you have they can take it. It is not hard under the crushing bureaucracy of federal laws (maritime code) to manufacture pretext to do so.  I have seen it myself. Under this system we are simply chattel property waiting in line for our turn to be harvested. The solution is common law and human rights. We have the legal framework, we just have to enforce it rather than being tricked into submitting.

Morcora laws are not Socialist, they are centralized command economy structure within Capitalism.
Well maybe to you they aren't socialist, but the problem is that these are types of programs that can achieve the goal of the socialist party and every socialist I know of in this country today.  So regardless of whether or not you call them socialist, or the historic socialists you read about would have taken that route, the socialists here and now should be the only ones relevant to the discussion.

Also, you have misread them as they are not "centralized command economy structure".  Individuals use them to start their own businesses which succeed or fail based on the market.  Centralized command economy means that the government is telling people to produce x amount of a good or service.  It just seems like you have all of the economic vocabulary twisted, haven't' read up on the laws, or both.
Quote
All you do all day long is try to make it look like Socialism some how produced the wealth it stole from Capitalists. SOCIALISM PRODUCES NOTHING.
No economic system produces anything.  Everything is produced by labor regardless of the system.  The system simply determines who gets the surplus.  Socialists suggest that the worker who did the labor should get the surplus.

Quote
Some people define insanity as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If that is true, Socialists are fucking insane.

We don't expect different results though. We expect the same positive results that democracy and worker-owned businesses have always produced.  Worker-ownership doesn't guarantee success, but it simply puts people's lives into their own hands.  All people are happier when they have freedom and control in their lives.  Relative to their capitalist counterparts, worker cooperatives like Mondragon have proven to be crisis resilient and have increased the quality of life and happiness of everyone involved.  We would be delighted to get the same results.

Quote
Democracy in daily life is the core of our socialism. Public ownership becomes a fraud if decisions are made by distant bureaucrats or authoritarian managers. In socialist society power resides in worker-managed and cooperative enterprises. Community-based cooperatives help provide the flexibility and innovation required in a dynamic socialist economy. Workers have the right to form unions freely, and to strike and engage in other forms of job actions. Worker and community control make it possible to combine life at work, home and in the community into a meaningful whole for adults and children. Girls and boys are encouraged to grow up able to choose freely the shape of their lives and work without gender and racial stereotyping. Children are provided with the care, goods and services, and support that they need, and are protected from abuse.
Somehow what you call capitalism and definitely no socialism is a core principle of the socialist party.  Maybe you should read the website before strawmanning what socilaists want based on what you read about the USSR.
https://www.socialistpartyusa.net/principles-points-of-agreement

"Individuals use them to start their own businesses which succeed or fail based on the market."

Sounds like Capitalism to me, except the part where they take money at the point of a gun to subsidize this program.

See the problem here is you insist on calling the fruits of Capitalism Socialist at any opportunity. Nothing done under the Marcora laws requires Socialism to be implemented. In fact the majority of the policies it contains are implemented in some form in other countries, and none of them are calling it Socialist.

To you Socialism is some nebulous warm feeling blanket of a term that wraps you up in visions of utopia, equality, and rainbows. The real world has rainbows, that's about it, and real Socialism has a quite a body count every time some one tries to implement it at scale.

They all started out with the best of intentions, they all felt warm and fuzzy about it, and they all screamed in terror at the hell they had created for themselves and the generations that followed as a result of these naive ideologies.

NOW. That said, I am not saying Marcora laws are a bad idea (except for the centralized government subsidy part), it contains many good ideas. However just because they are good ideas and they are good for workers doesn't wave a magic wand over them and make it Socialist.

I find people such as yourself always think they have it all figured out, and all I need to do is just read more because I just don't understand it. I do. I was you. Then I actually started seriously researching. You have no idea how many thousands of hours I have spent reading on this subject alone. You want to play the teacher but you don't want to do the homework. Perhaps you should do some reading? Here let me start you off with some light reading:

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber barons cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -C.S. 6707  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Aside from cryptocurrency, blockchain is now also into digital immortality on: October 12, 2018, 05:47:15 AM
I have just sort of started this topic over at Bitcoin Discussion, although I used a different link. I think that the blockchain technology can be used to achieve digital immortality through mind uploading, among others. But I think that our digitized minds can also be used to store our bitcoins and altcoins instead of using an e-wallet. What do you think?

That's sweet, but don't you think that it will make us more vulnerable to hackers? If we digitized our minds and we store our cryptocurrencies in our head, then it will make us a walking target, right?

Yes and no. Transhumanism is a double edged sword... we might be gaining a lot but losing everything. We won't know until it is too late. As far as the pure security aspects of this, there are always lots of little security tricks you can use at any level of sophistication. The method changes but the principals stay the same.
6708  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US or China: Who would win the AI race? on: October 12, 2018, 05:44:20 AM
China is planning to overtake the US in terms of Artificial Intelligence. Some researchers AI would be like the internet of the future. It's going to be really necessary for life in the future and China wants to lead. How high do you think is the possibility of China being able to do so?

Overtake the US? I don't think so. Do you mean become the central country for AI? Yes. In this case, China will get ahead, especially since they got the biggest funding when it comes to creating AI. It's only a matter of time now before they create a fully functioning AI.

More importantly they don't give a shit about human or civil rights. AI will be deployed, manufactured, and in use there more, but the US still has the edge in development. That is why China is constantly trying to steal technology via espionage, hacking, or simply buying it out.
6709  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politics fools us all - Batman Needs the Joker on: October 12, 2018, 05:40:11 AM
Its the reason why they won't allow 3rd party candidates into the debates and many of the big ticket items get vast bipartisan support (defense spending bills).  Both parties are capitalist and pro-war which is why you see the GOP reject fiscal conservativism and democrats reject socialism.

The US common law government was carefully designed as a 2 party system on purpose. As I have explained before in other posts, the writers of the constitution intended both parties to constantly resist each other and reach a stalemate. The idea is they are busy fighting each other and not enslaving the people.

The second is if you introduce a 3rd party, it makes it incredibly easy for extremist groups to get in. Green saps votes from Blue, and Blue loses to Red when it otherwise would have won, Red and Blue are divided or apathetic and Green takes the majority as a result, etc. The idea being short term political whims shouldn't be allowed to create instability. Of course you can argue the validity of these arguments, this was part of the intent when it was created.
6710  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politics fools us all - Batman Needs the Joker on: October 12, 2018, 02:46:28 AM
As with any organization, it has similar result if hijacked by criminal cartels. I think one thing you are seeing though that may be confusing is the fact that the 2 party system int he US was DESIGNED to create deadlock so that those politicians don't get the ability to pass too many laws. The entire idea was they spend the whole time fighting each other and not fighting to enslave the people. To an extent however you are correct, it is largely controlled opposition.
6711  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Brexit - Why do they call a second referendum a "people's vote" on: October 11, 2018, 10:11:01 PM
The people already voted to leave. This second referendum is the establishment and the EU attempting to media spin the UK back into its parasitic grasp.

People are always influenced by one factor or another. The propaganda and false promises before the referendum are now evident:

- No money is saved. The "divorce bill" and the damage to the economy will eat ten times any saving.
- The border with Ireland is a nightmare. Just setting a border would cost twice the contribution to the UE, not to mention the social issues.
- The immigrants have never been a problem. The UK is unable to generate at home the expertise it needs, particularly in the Healt sector.

And so many other lies...

And now there is fear to let people speak now that the facts are showing themselves and, once again, you look for an enemy from outside or inside to cover the facts. Well done, it did work well in the referendum... give it another try.

British inclusion into the EU was never voted on, this was a bureaucratic hijacking to begin with. Speaking of lies, lets talk about the cost of limitless unenforced illegal immigration and the violence and crime it brings. It worked well in the referendum because no one bothered asking the people to begin with, and they never wanted this.

The question now is would you call the President and ask him to get the best agency in the world to try to clear your name?  Or would you sit back and the black cloud hang over you and let everyone make an uniformed decision based on no facts.

Occam's razor bro, Kavanaugh had EVERYTHING to gain and absolutely nothing to lose by asking for a full investigation if he was 100% innocent. Clarence Thomas and George Bush did a full investigation.

Completely outside of the sexual misconduct allegations you have an unprecedented move by the legal community where thousands of legal professionals signed a letter expressing their view that Bart wasn't fit for the bench.

Also even more unprecedented is a former justice going on the record stating Bart wasn't fit for the bench.

Republicans won, that's a fact but at what cost guys.  When the house goes blue they are going to bog down trumps WH with investigation after investigation.  The justice Kavanaugh story is only beginning.

I mean I'm going to go through a good amount of things in the statement.

1. Do you think with the amount of leaks that are in the Trump administration, that Kavanaugh would be able to get away with making this sort of phone call and Trump ordering the FBI to listen to him without anyone in the media finding out? The media finds out about things with MUCH lesser importance, this would come out in a second if it was true -- but that's just my view of the leaks and such.

The whole, he's not fit for the bench thing is a subjective question -- and while I do think that he is fit for the bench, and many respected people do as well. But we must remember that it's going to be subjective on if he is fit for the bench, though I personally do think that he is.

And the whole thing about bogging down the WH with investigations -- why? If the current investigation has been able to find nothing related to Trump-Russia collusion then why is it ongoing and why do people feel the need to expand it?

We haven't seen anything on Trump-Russia, just the Mueller investigation going outside of their purview and not doing anything related to their original stated purpose.

Exactly, this is just fishing expedition after fishing expedition with the primary intent of obstruction. We have laws about this kind of thing for a reason. Mob justice doesn't work. Like any good magician or con artist they need to keep moving from shit show to shit show all the while hoping everyone forgets the last one, because if you stop to look back the misdirection fails. Also to keep everyone's attention each needs to be bigger, more dramatic, and more violent than the last for this to work.

None of you get it. The more extreme you get the more you are actually stumping for the right. All the media in the world can't confirm your bias enough for what is coming. The left have crossed the event horizon and are being sucked into a point of infinitely compressed mass of their own bullshit.

Pretty sure the government and many officials pushed numbers and narratives that were simply false.

Along side foreign influence on the elections, it's not a wonder why there's a second referendum proposed to the people by the people.

The people already voted to leave. This second referendum is the establishment and the EU attempting to media spin the UK back into its parasitic grasp.
6715  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh OT Thread on: October 11, 2018, 06:34:38 PM
I love it how goog that once was a paragon of honest internet search now can offer articles titled "Brett Kavanagh is rapist" (depending on who you are, obviously, so not to get caught immediately) ON TOP of their search results...
How simultaneously goog, fb and twitter are caught misbehaving with customers' data...

Google may have had (semi)honest search results at one time, but it was a government/corporate intelligence hybrid project from day one. Look at who In-Q-tel is. They, like several other organizations like them were simply designed as a way around the constitutional protections people in the USA have by law. Oh look it is a private company so it is ok! Uh... no.

Meanwhile they hoover up every detail of all of our lives, and sell the database to the highest bidder. You know what we should add on top of this dumpster full of oily rags? A culture of guilty until proven innocent mob justice like this whole contrived assault on Kavanaugh. Before you light up that match, remember you are the oily rag in this scenario.

As an oldfag I had one of these (different model same brand) when it was originally on the market. These were top of the line technology, and even today with a little modification of the software it could be quite a useful tool. One of these might work well as an air-gapped key keeper. They last forever as well (as you can see xD). Good luck with the sale.

Cool story bro. You keep doubling down. See how that works out. I wouldn't want to interrupt.

I ain't doubling down on shit bro, Chief Justice Roberts and the 10th circuit court is getting in the game now bro, you can ignore it if you want but uhh sticking your head in the sand isn't going to change the facts!

He's gonna be the shortest serving SC Justice in the history of your country, Party Barty just loves all these firsts!!!

Convenient when you can just delete purposeful jokes at your expense isn't it? I guess it is one of the perks of debating as a moderator, you can just delete what you disagree with (as long as you have some flimsy justification you know no one will check you on).

I guess that is easier than, I don't know... producing a modicum of evidence to prove life destroying accusations of rape before trying a man in the court of public opinion (aka a mob).
6718  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Court Has Confirmed Brett Kavanaugh on: October 11, 2018, 02:12:11 AM
He did have a full investigation, 7 of them.

Guess what, he now gets to add a judicial review prompted by an ethics complaint issued to Chief Justice Roberts to his record.  Chief Justice Roberts has decided that the 10th circuit court of appeals will review current and new allegations concerning Bart ethics!

Bart is racking up an impressive number of firsts!!!  He is now the first sitting Justice to be subject to a judicial review thanks to his temper tantrum, lol.

Perfect timing for the dems on this one, I assume Chief Justice Roberts is in on the Clinton revenge plot and left wing hoax eh?

LMFAO I look forward to the day I read about Bart resigning haha, hopefully it happens before old Party Barty can do real damage to the SC and just maybe at a time when dems control the senate LOL!

As has been pointed out never interrupt your opponent when they are making a mistake!

Cool story bro. You keep doubling down. See how that works out. I wouldn't want to interrupt.

The examples of Marcora laws and worker cooperatives are not fantasy though.  If you would look into them, they have worked successfully for a very long time and affected real people and real economies.  You continue to ignore my point to go back to argue against something no one is arguing on behalf of.  The definition of socialism has been posted by multiple users but it is you that continues to use your own definition.

Quote
Lets not get hung up over word choice unless you are injecting those examples into the debate to intentionally mislead others about what we actually want.
This seems to be what is happening and I am done responding if you have no interest in debating and only want to misdirect the conversation to be a critique on authoritarian governments.

I have looked into them, and addressed your point already. Morcora laws are not Socialist, they are centralized command economy structure within Capitalism. All you do all day long is try to make it look like Socialism some how produced the wealth it stole from Capitalists. SOCIALISM PRODUCES NOTHING.

I have plenty of interest in debate, and that is exactly what I have been doing. You are demanding that I agree on your baseless premise that there is some how some magical version of Socialism we haven't tried yet that won't end up like all the other horrible disasters that resulted from almost every attempt.

Some people define insanity as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If that is true, Socialists are fucking insane.
6720  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Blockchain technology for social good? on: October 11, 2018, 01:42:11 AM
Like any tool it has equal capacity for good and evil. It will serve both functions. Some coins will be more independent, some will bend over for the establishment and do its bidding. Crypto has the capacity to free humanity from the parasite banker class, but it also has the capacity to become the new one world digital cash free system where every penny is tracked and they can confiscate it in an instant. There will be Russian hacking, money laundering Jihadi, North Korean drug dealer, global warming, kiddy porn coins, and "good" coins which are establishment backed. Unfortunately people are too short sighted to see the value of having a method of exchange that is not easily manipulated, instead they are more interested in quick short term profits. The value of a method of exchange that doesn't enable perpetual theft of value via money manipulation can not be underestimated. Essentially everyone is selling themselves into servitude for a pair of cool Air Jordans now. It is amazing how this historical civilization changing tool can immediately foster a community that turns right around and demands it act exactly like the old broken system. Enjoy your "free lunch" while you can.
