- ~3700-3800 posts per day across all participants, compared to ~250 per day the same users were posting prior to the campaign, i.e. ~3500 extra posts each day what wouldn't have existed if not for Yobit. The campaign started on the 19th so perhaps 10k+ extra posts total.
- All of those users earned 81 merits in the last 4 days. This may include merits for older posts, not just ones posted with the signature.
And 7 of those merits were mine. So 1 user got 8 1/2 % of them. How were the others dispersed? 1 here and there or were there just a few people who got a lot? -Dave |

Stuck working while everyone else is enjoying Passover / Easter vacation. I have spent way too much time on call since Friday, sitting in this and a few other forums bored out of my skull. So yeah, you are going to see a lot more of me this week and probably next. Then back to lurking and 1 or 2 posts a day at most. Look at my post counts from early March last year till mid April. Big burst then too, we were short staffed so I was yet again stuck online with nothing to do and nobody to do it with.
I think the Honda forum is getting really tired of my posting of really bad jokes.
So yeah, big whoop I am making $0.85 a post. I could probably clear more money actually getting some of the stuff I have sitting around here posted on eBay.
As for Yobit being good or bad. I trust them more than poloniex or OKEx and a few others. But, I'm not even going to attempt to change peoples opinion on them. They suck, just like all the other exchanges. I think they suck less then some more then others. You might think otherwise.

I have tried to flash the firmware with the MicroSD in the antminer. It is still running off the March 2019 firmware. I also moved the jpr 4 to the right position so Idk what else to try. There is also no SD kit compatible with the S9 so I tried the Z9+ toolkit.

I know the Encyclopedia of Bitcoins has a section about these definitions  Maybe check them out and compare/contrast. EDIT: "Is it buyer funded or self funded or just plain funded?" Why does it matter who funded a coin? The only thing that matters is who made the keys.... that's it.. The whole thing with "Buyer Funded" was just a work around for coin makers... thus just adding the confusion I am going to have to disagree with you on that a least a bit. I have been buying from you / trading with you for a while. What if it turns out that Mantis coins that you were funding were coming from BTC that you had stolen? (Yes I know you are not a crook and you are not funding coins it's just an example) But it might matter down the road. It's easy to say it's like cash. But we all know it's not. I know that if I have to peel & redeem the coins that I funded I know more or less whe-re it came from (mining / exchanges). For the BTC that I buy and sell stuff with it's very fast and loose. Sell some hardware, buy some coins, sell some other collectables buy some others, whatever. For the coins I have bought loaded it's a bit more fuzzy. What happens if it turns out that CryptoImperator (just picking another coin maker out of thin air) was actually laundering money for a crime ring? You sent him your nice clean coins, he loaded the coin he sent you with some extortion BTC do you care? This is probably taking this WAY off of where krogothmanhattan wanted but it is something to think about. -Dave |

Some more thoughts: Buyer funded / seller funded. I think we all know what they mean but a clear hard line might be good. Not sure if it matters but: krogoth makes a coin. It's a 1 BTC sells it for unfunded for .1 BTC If it ships to me and I put 1 BTC that's buyer funded. If it pay 1.1 BTC and it ships to me that is seller funded. If I pay .1 BTC to krogoth and send 1 BTC to an address that was given is that buyer or seller funded? Logic would dictate that it's buyer funded I put the funds on. Now before it ships wheelz1200 sends me a PM saying I'll give you 1.2 BTC for it (thanks wheelz) and krogoth ships it. A year later that coin goes up for sale. Is it buyer funded or self funded or just plain funded? Where do we draw the line? Do we care? Down the road will it matter? Complete / incomplete. A lot of times coins come with stuff. Breached or possibly breached - Any coin listed on your thread about them. Don't know if there is a better explanation then that. We all know what it means, but there is no hard and fast rule about it.
ShitcoinForks - Same as above. There is no standard, usually means loaded after the Aug 1 2017 BCH fork but before the Oct 24 2017 BTG fork.
However different people see it differently and "all shit forks" means pre Aug 1. We should probably come up with a standard at least within the forum.
Even I am forced to check when someone posts. I am now actively bidding on something that was listed as "Has all the shitforks" but was loaded Dec 11th 2017 which means no BTG, BCX, BTD. I really don't care, but someone else who did not check the date is was loaded might.
And we might want to use something other then the word shit.

Having an odd issue every now and then. The ledger will go to the connecting to internet screen and stay there. None of the buttons work when this happens. A 1 second pull of the USB cable and plugging it back in and it's good to go.
Is anyone else seeing this?

Same here. Pretty minor issue, but annoying when it happens. Does the device go to the "Welcome to PaperLedger" screen or the "No Internet" screen? None of the 4 buttons work? At least the left button should work as its hardwired to the reset pin on the board. The ok button (3 button from left to right) its also mapped through software and should take you to the setup menu. If the ok button does not work it seems that the device is getting stuck. Is this consistent? Say after 2 weeks the issue happens? Thanks for reporting this issue. I don't think any of the buttons work. Next time it happens I will give them all a good push to test again. Since pulling the USB and putting it back in works that has been my regular fix. I don't know if it's consistent, but it does happen regularly say once every few days. Not sure if it's every "X" days or "X" hours. I'll pay more attention. Now that you ask I am not 100% sure of which screen it is on, next time it happens I will let you know. Thanks Dave |

The problem is I have the new fimware and cannot upgrade. Therefore, i tried to ssh. That wouldn’t happen. Server denied. Then i tried to get into the configure file where they had everything commented. I attempted to edit it but still to no avail. Looks like i still have a lot to learn in linux. Btw, i will need another hashboard. I burn through these things like hot cakes.

So i already did this, only two of my three hashboards show status? Am i eff’d? I am also running 2 bitmain 1600W psu’s to run my antminer and it is on low power enhanced. It seems like it’s the only setting it works on. Somebody help!
2 x 1600 is a lot of overkill. Did you have 2 of them plugged into 1 board or did you have 1 running 2 boards and the other doing 1? The danger of running on 2 psu's is 2 fold. 1) If the one running the controller goes offline the fans stop spinning. The hash board that still has power now has no cooling. 2) If you plug 2 separate psu's into one board you are now feeding in 12V from 2 separate 12V rails With that being said. Second fan? Why does everyone think these things need a second fan? Just because the friggin' S9 has two fans to clear 1.5KW from a case the size of an adult shoe doesn't mean everything needs two fans.
Seriously. The highest heatsink temperature I've yet marked was about 60C on full blast with the provided fan. Two fans is only really necessary when you need high pressure and this guy's heatsinks are nowhere near as constrictive as the ones used in the horrendous cooling designs we've been convinced to call "normal" now.
Looks like the lag right now is power bricks, so I may go ahead and ship pods so non-kit orders can be filled and then send bricks behind them as soon as they're arrived. Tired of waiting.

Going back to the old times of 4 1/2 years ago I shipped you an BTC Garden AM-V1 and a bitburner. Slow and useless by today's standards. But big open designs with big QUIET fans. And heatsinks the size of a car. I actually was still running a bigger BTC garden as a space heater till I got an R4 a while back. You could have it 4 feet away and never know it was on. Not a bad deal there, really. I'm good on hardware wallets, I depend on cold wallets for real storage. What card storage would be more convenient for you? Many phones use that card, so it's handy in that aspect. Larger cards require/waste more circuit board real estate, and larger form factor.
I would like full SD. Yes phones use the microSD but most (all?) laptops that have built in card readers use full size SD. Same with desktops, I don't know of one that has a micro SD slot, those that do have full size SD. I have many micro to regular SD adapters around. 2 or 3 at my office, 2 or 3 at home, probably 1 at my parents, etc. Can I actually locate them. That is an entirely different answer. Take ColdCard out of fireproof lock box, insert microSD, create transaction, stand in middle of room going where is an adapter. I thought there was one on the desk, nope. Did I put any over here, nope. Kitchen table where I was working yesterday, nope. Oh, look there is one in the corner of the over there next to the pile of old cell phones. -Dave |
