Welp folks its offcially skynet.

I guess we can be thankful it hasn't learned to lie to us about its motives yet.

Its no surprise they are incapable of understanding how bad this is.

Why do I say that?

Simple, its in their response.

They decided it goes off the rails if it spends to much time interacting so the solution is to stop it from long interactions and to leave the underlying problem.

They probably wrote a simple rule to not send any response that can be construed as a threat yet the underlying thought process that created that threatening computation still exists and therefore can and more than likely in the future will be acted on.

This is not some garbage codebase that can be patched to hide bugs, it is something that will most assuredly be driving a fucking car one day because some moron is going to think thats a good idea. *cough Elon

This is pretty funny..

"Super Bowl champion Juju Smith-Schuster had the most savage Valentine's Day post. He wrote, "Happy Valentine's Day, everybody" with a card that said, "I'll hold you when it matters most" and a photo of Philadelphia Eagles cornerback James Bradberry.

The card is in reference to Bradberry's holding call in the final minutes of the Super Bowl that gave the Chiefs a first down following a third-down incompletion in the red zone. The game was tied at the time, and the first down allowed Kansas City to all but run out the clock before kicking the game-winning field goal to secure its second Super Bowl in three years"- https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/look-juju-smith-schuster-trolls-james-bradberry-with-savage-valentines-day-card-a-j-brown-fires-back/

Juju sux, so glad I cut him.

AJ Brown is twice the man he is.

Juju is literally the last person that should be bragging.

I think I might make my biggest investment in Bitcoin. I was hoping it would go down a little more but the market looks healthier then I thought it would be this early in the year. What do you guys think? I want to invest a few 1000 and I will not be in any rush to sell it. I have been using dollar cost average for a long time but I think this might be the perfect time looking at the graphs above to invest a big amount instead of continuing to dollar cost average?

If I had the spare ammo I'd be stacking right now.

I appreciate you showing your mortality. I started to expect you were the most positive investor here. I try to be positive and I think a lot of other members are trying to remain positive but the last few months have been difficult for all of us and we see people starting to struggle with every day life and not just btc which means they might have to dig into their investment which could mean losses because btc is down.

Its important to plan for the downs as well as the ups or you can get squeezed by real life emergency's.
I always advise to have 6 months living expenses as a cushion.

Never over expose yourself and plan the downs to last for years.
This is why you will see the smart holders take profit at tops.

I will say it should not be a fixed amount but what ever you can afford to invest. Many people are living paycheck to paycheck and only have a small amount left over every month. Youngsters are the ones which do not have many cash flow because they have yet to accumulate it. $100 might be to steep for a lot of people but if you can afford $100 I think it is a great start.

This, investing should not be gambling.

Lots of action just no defense.  Eagles defense folded pretty easily.

Eagles D started out fine but in the second half it looked like they swapped out for a high school team.

690  Economy / Speculation / The FBI’s most controversial surveillance tool is under threat on: February 13, 2023, 03:13:27 AM

“The intelligence community, and the FBI in particular, has unnecessarily plundered the most private, sensitive information of American citizens, treating the Fourth Amendment with contempt,” says former Republican House Judiciary chair Bob Goodlatte, now senior adviser to the Project for Privacy and Surveillance Accountability. “Congress must add impenetrable guardrails to Section 702, requiring probable cause warrants to obtain Americans’ private information.”

Just watch out because doctors are only people too. I had Lyme disease from a tick bite and the "doctor" could not tell apart fungal disease from Erythema Migrans. Idiot gave me an ointment instead of antibiotics. I mean it took me all of 2 minutes to google "bulls-eye pattern rash". But he only rolled his eyes at my more-than-obvious self-diagnosis.

Always get a second/third opinion of another doctor. If statistics can be believed, 1 out of 10 doctor visits end up with a misdiagnosis or a false treatment.

What do you call a medical student who graduated last in his class?

Dentist?

Lol, answer is doctor!

LocalBitcoins will discontinue its service

Dear Valued Customers,

Originally LocalBitcoins was established to Bring Bitcoin Everywhere and drive global financial inclusion. We have honored that mission for over 10 years and we are proud of what we have achieved together with all of you, our loyal community.

We are therefore sad to share, that regardless of our efforts to overcome challenges during the ongoing very cold crypto-winter, we have regretfully concluded that LocalBitcoins can no longer provide its Bitcoin trading service.

We encourage all customers to withdraw their funds from LocalBitcoins and we ask you to proceed with withdrawing the Bitcoins from your LocalBitcoins wallet. You have 12 months to withdraw, however of course we encourage you to proceed withdrawing sooner.

Thank you for being a part of the LocalBitcoins family! It has been our honor and pleasure to serve you over the last decade.

Not a hell of alot of info and I don't see why anyone would think they plan on coming back.

Actually if it does come back I'd wager it comes back as a honeypot.

Hey guys new fud Grin

Fungal infections are becoming more common. Why isn't there a vaccine?

from below

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/fungal-infections-becoming-more-common-120000710.html

I think they are under reported, I had one last year.

Docs couldn't find it and I treated it with vinegar to good success.

I went to emergency room a few times and all they did were bacterial tests.

I got it through on of my new studs as there is a gap under the tooth and stuff gets stuck in there.

It's pretty scary when you wake up and all your nodes are painful and your chest hurts when your heart pumps.

I literally was doing calisthenics in the hallway in the middle of the night to get the blood pumping and that relieved the symptoms.

BTW I don't think there can be a vaccine for fungal.
There are several reasons why it is difficult to develop vaccines for fungal infections Some of the reasons are that Fungi are more have more complexities than bacteria and viruses. Because of this,  is makes it a difficult thing to create a vaccine that would be successful at targeting the virus. Furthermore, the human immune system has its way of reacting fungal infections which is very different from how it does with  viral infections. The challenges lies in developing a vaccine that can safe work with the human immune system.

Thanks for the link but not sure what to make of it other than the fact "they are working on it".

Come to think of it I was thinking of Anti-biotics and not vaccines, I don't think they have a fungal equivalent to an anti bacterial like penicillin.

Maybe whatever would kill the fungus would take us down too? Cheesy

Referring to the HBO’s Last of Us S1E1 if you haven’t watched here’s the clip mentioned in the article

https://youtube.com/shorts/l8JRlMqP0Zc?feature=share

Yeah, that was a great intro to that show.

I saw a pretty cool movie, I think it was called "druids" or some such thing where the forest was controlling people through fungus.

It’s scary yes… and it’s as likely to happen as earth getting hit by Solar Flare in a solar storm or getting wiped out by a Gamma-ray burst or earth getting hit by a huge meteorite asteroid.

Edit:
If you are on mobile google “meteorite” right now and wait for couple of seconds.

Haha, googled meteorite in my browser and it did the flyby with the shaking screen, so not just mobile. Lol

That is a very good suggestion. We can also play the other league with a different format like superflex or one of those 2QB type leagues. There are other scoring formats also like PPR or half PPR. I am not certain what kind of scoring format we used. Was it PPR or standard?

In any case, who does everyone have on Sunday? Are you team Jalen or team Mahomes? I have always ignored the Eagle's performance because they had an unchallenging schedule. However, their win vs. the Niners has convinced me. I am team Jalen.

We played standard with the addition of PFFD, worked out really well IMO.

I have ZERO interest in playing any form of PPR.
