681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading or Long term on: February 09, 2024, 11:56:00 AM
Day trading can be refer to short term trading like trading within a day or two days. Long term in the way you used it can mean swing trading. Swing trading is when you hold your coins for some many days to many weeks. But the long term that you are talking about is holding. Do not compare holding to trading, because holding is safer, better and it requires less time and energy from you. But this is when you are buying good coins and not shit coins.
682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What traders must know on: February 09, 2024, 10:41:06 AM
The first thing that people should know is that trading is not for everyone. Also that trading is very risky just as gambling is very risky. Traders should also know that they might want to control their emotions but losses is not easy at all and people use to react to losses with unhappiness.

If you lose, do not trade until you have the right mind to trade again. People are more prone to losses after having little losses continuously. And this can lead to changing of trading plan to the one that can bring more losses.

It is true not to use too much leverage. 1x leverage or averaging is better. If you have enough money, it is better to go for averaging. The most important thing in trading is that you should use the amount of money that you can afford to lose to trade.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do coaches get sacked over poor performance of players? on: February 09, 2024, 09:21:02 AM
but in a case the players happen to have hated the coach and have decided to lose matches as punishment for their coach, is it right to fire the coach?
What that matters is the coach performance. A coach is hired to deliver the best and if possible, to win the lead and cup competitions. If a coach is not doing that but the club is getting poorer in performance, the coach would be removed for another coach to begin work with the team.

If I were to own a club and players were tanking to get a coach fired, I would make sure that those players were banned from the sport for life assuming I could prove it.
Has this happened before in the history of footballnor sport generally? We all know how the world is. As some people will want good for you, some people will want bad for you just as you can see in movies like Oppenheimer which is a true life story. Coach will interact with players and some interactions may lead to hatred from the players in a way the players may not show it but be playing poorly.
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: February 08, 2024, 06:07:10 PM
I will not track the matches that I have selected. Once all have been played, I will check the results. The only time I track the match that I used to stake is if I am watching it like while watching one of the matches played in EPL and the likes. And not that I am tracking it but I just want to watch the match and have fun and nothing more. Not tracking the matches will give you a rest of mind than tracking it.

Sometimes some people may thought the match they selected is about to be lost, do cash out that will not favour them and later the match favored them but in a way they are losing more than the amount they staked because they have already cashed out while in fear. Although it can be verse versa.
685  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Experiences with Miner Hosting platforms on: February 08, 2024, 10:47:39 AM
What did you meant by miner hosting platforms? Hope you are not referring to cloud mining sites? Know that they are giving you a premium offer to scam you. Do not pay them any money.

If you want to mine, do research about a miner and its electricity cost to know if bitcoin mining is for you. If you see it profitable, buy the miner and join a mining pool instead.
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's problem gambling different from compulsive gambling. on: February 08, 2024, 08:31:46 AM
If you are always thinking about gambling and also looking for money to always gamble. If you are doing that and gambling is taking your time than necessary as it should be for fun, then it is a problem gambling. You want to gamble all the time and you will lose because that is a sign of gambling addiction.

Problem gambling is when you are gambling and not able to control your urge for gambling but continue to gamble. That is an addiction itself, while compulsive gambling will lead to addiction.

Which means compulsive gambling will lead to problem gambling which is gambling addiction. In fact, we can say both compulsive gambling and problem gambling mean the same thing.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changing initial option and losing the bet on: February 08, 2024, 07:52:40 AM
I'm pretty sure all gamblers have experienced this at one point, but as for me, I have experienced this a lot and still do
If I am gambling, I do not change what I have planned to go for. I am surprised to see that some people can change the option they want to go for to another. Only what can make me change my decision is what will not let me bet on the game again, like in football if I noticed that the coach of a club bench some good players not to play. If something like this happens, I will not go for the game, of which I thought I will go for before.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your response in placing live bets with a friend at a live sporting matches on: February 07, 2024, 10:35:59 PM
From your explanation, it was not a live bet you had with your friend, it was just a bet. Live bet should mean live matches or in-play. I will call it that because you can not bet on a match that are no more live because it has been played and the outcomes has been known.

Question:who has been in this scenario before? And how did you managed with your emotions then?
People that took draw won. It match was drawn and Nigeria won during penalty shootout. It would be a disappointment for those that either chose Nigeria or South Africa to win. But if you use little amount of money to bet it, it was still fun.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: February 07, 2024, 08:01:09 PM
Nigeria had a penalty, William Troost-Ekong scored. Nigeria had the second goal which was scored by Victor Osimhen before a penalty was given to South Africa and the goal Nigeria scored was cancelled. From what that actually happened, that was what that should happen and no cheating but Nigeria was just not favoured with neutral judgement and it was 87 minutes to the end of the match. There was extra time and penalties were played. Nigeria won the penalties. Congratulations to Nigerians. The match was interesting.

Now we are waiting for Ivory Coast versus Dr Congo to play which will soon start, so that we can know the other country that will qualify for this AFCON final. I am hoping Nigeria would win the cup this year.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 07, 2024, 07:53:25 PM
If you are a gambler, do not believe in luck, although it is possible. You can accumulate many matches and be lucky though, but some people will continue to use the amount of money they can not afford to lose to gamble and be thinking about luck. As my experience in gambling, luck is possible but most people are not just lucky to win than lose.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 07, 2024, 09:11:36 AM
Have you ever sold a property to play gamble and afterwards finds it difficult to replace that same property again?
I sold a laptop that I supposed to repair and I lost the money to gambling. I sold a good home theater and used the money to gamble and I lost it. Enough lesson for me not to sell anything and use the money to ever gamble again.

But it is highly not good to touch your parent property and sell to gamble. It is not good at all. If he has changed, that would be good.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: February 07, 2024, 07:48:42 AM
When someone should gamble should be when he has an income that is capable to financially have a good family and using just little part of the savings like 5% of his weekly income to gamble. We have said this countless number of times. If you are not receiving enough income, do not gamble. If you are an average, use just 1 to 5% and not more than 5% of your weekly income to gamble. If you are rich, also use 1 to 3% for gambling. But if I am rich, I can not use up to 5% of my weekly income to gamble, I will reduce it. In gambling, if you have the money to spare for it weekly which you can afford to lose, let it be in percentage. If you are rich, better not to use more than 1% to gamble.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Resources for a more reliable paroly (multi-bet) strategy on: February 07, 2024, 07:35:41 AM
I can remember the old days when I will accumulate many matches and be happy that I want to win those matches with small amount of money. The end result are always the same which is loss. After many times of losses, I only prefer to accumulate not more than three matches. But my betting strategy is to never go more than 1 or 2 matches. 3 matches at maximum but which is not my common way of betting.
694  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 06, 2024, 10:29:20 PM
This may seem related to bitcoin speculation but it is not bitcoin speculation at all. We are not speculation on bitcoin price but to know if someone can know if he or she can go up to 100 push ups before bitcoin hit six digits. This belongs to off-topic.
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy bitcoin now? on: February 06, 2024, 10:20:14 PM
Use DCA strategy. It means instead to buy all at ones, you can be buyin in small amount every week. If the price of bitcoin fall between $30000 to $35000, buy the remaining at ones. If the price of bitcoin do not fall to such price and it is getting to halving, like a week or two weeks to halving, then buy the remaining at ones at the time.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The US Government wants your Bitcoin Miners!? on: February 06, 2024, 06:29:17 PM
We have been discussing something similar to this. You can see it here if you click on this link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5483892.msg63601670#msg63601670

When I saw the news, I think the United States government are up to something. Let us keep watching as the drama continues. Probably they will look for ways to discourage mining.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: February 06, 2024, 01:24:31 PM
I'm guilty of this when I was just starting my venture in gambling, I was like hitting when the iron is still hot I believe in this saying in many situations but it's too late to find out that it will not work in gambling, I was so greedy back then that I thought that I can make money from gambling if I can create a winnable method, I was in searched for the best method I can apply on my betting so I can win some more, I even explore martingale because the theory looks good on study but unfortunately I found out that it will not apply on gambling.
I too fall victim of this. There were times I would win and think I am better than before and think I am becoming more professional in gambling. But later I will start losing and lose all my money and always find myself losing than winning at the end. That is just gambling. We should not be greedy.

There was also a time I was given a tip that a particular game was going to be fixed by players and teams I was so greedy that I even pawned my watch so I could bet more so I could win more until I found out that it was fake news.
You should never apply greediness to gambling, there's a lot of uncertainty in gambling, and if you cannot moderate your greediness you will be a step closer to becoming addicted to gambling.
This has happened to someone that I know before but I told him not to bet on the fixed matches because it was from French Lique 2 and they were two matches. He later gave it a try and lost. My friend used small amount of money to gamble with the matches and lost the two.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: February 06, 2024, 11:12:18 AM
If you have a gambling budget that is very low to the amount you are receiving as salary, you can do the money the way you want. Taking just 5% from your weekly income is good. You can be greedy with it and lose it to gambling and not go more than your gambling budget. It will not affect you because you can afford to lose it. Gambling should not be done with the money that you can not afford to lose. But also for not to regret, it is good not to be greedy though. If you have won little amount of money for the day, stop gambling. If you are losing, stop gambling for you not to lose more. This may help you not to use money that is not in your gambling budget. But the most important thing is to not touch the money you do not have as gambling budget.

700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin become extinct? on: February 05, 2024, 09:02:43 PM
The chance that bitcoin will extinction is small. But why bothering about this? What is most certain is all-time-high.

zero
I will not agree with this because life itself can extinct.
