stay motivated, and Liverpool should too, it is not finished yet, we will beat City at Goodison to get your hopes back
I really hope Liverpool come back and start winning the matches from the next round. There are two consecutive home loses, 10 points behind from the top team on the table, poor defense, forwards are not in their best shapes. There are many things wrong with the team right now.

City have a game in hand as well which they'll be playing at the end of this round on the 17th. Liverpool's next game is against Leicester away and that could be tough for them but Leicester have bene hit and miss recently. Vardy should be back now and starting as he played the last 30 mins in their last game. They have a cup game tonight though but seems Rodgers is going to be giving some youngsters a game: https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jamie-vardy-timothy-castagne-injury-4980506

I'll probably go for a draw if Vardy is playing. Maybe Liverpool can turn things around in that game though.

not suprised everyone in a sig campaign disagreeing

Did you actually read what people have said or just saw they have a signature and then disregarded it?

My arguments were completely ignored. I get it you (you as in everyone with a sig) want to protect the system you are benefitting from. But why would someone with a lot of Merit and in Sig Campaigns ever give out Merit? All he would be doing is cause more people to get to high forum ranks and steal slots in the best Sig campaigns from him. You may be an exception but most humans would say what you say then act completely different. Just like for example with cheap meat from insanely large, cruel animal farms. Nobody admits they are buying it yet almost everyone (90%) does it.

They weren't ignored at all. In fact, some people agreed with some of what you were saying. The rest is just complete conspiracy theory. Do you really think people are hoarding their merit like it's some sort of precious gold? For most higher ranked users who already have achieved Hero/Legendary rank have no need for merit and I've never once in my life thought I've best not merit this post because my signature place is potentially at stake and I'm sure this is relevant to 99% of others. I think the only people who will be cautious with their merit and not send it are the ones who keep it to give to their alts or want to trade it with others in a merit for merit exchange or something but those will likely be in the minority. Personally I'm happy to give it out to anybody regardless of rank.

That's the issue with the way that you're thinking OP. One shouldn't be hunting for merit.

See, thats the perfect example of a merit-hunting post. You pretend someone is wrong,
claim the morale high ground and theres an issue so you can gain some merit Wink

Thats also how the media has been doing it for a while keeping
everyone hooked. They just make up issues and that gets them attention and clicks.
Which has led us pretty much to mass insanity and people completely addicted to
quick dopamine rewards.

Most people here probably think you are wrong. You're making a biased argument from a point of frustration that you don't have enough of what you're complaining about. It's like complaining about greedy capitalism whilst in reality you're just annoyed that you don't have a mansion and Lamborghini, yet if you were in a position to have those things you'd have nothing to complain about but it's the greedy others that that are keeping you down and are to blame not you.

I will reiterate my point that you've been a member since August 2017 and have made only 631 posts.  What are you expecting?  It isn't supposed to be easy to earn merits; that's the whole point of the merit system, to suppress shitposters and reward members who put in a decent amount of thought and effort into what they're writing.  I'd say you have a pretty good merit/post ratio.  I've certainly seen members with ones that are a lot less.

The question is also why have facebook-like-merits to "reward" posts when the post should speak for itself?

I can see the moderators do their best to improve the forums and its always easy to complain (as I do right now)
but not very easy to offer solutions.

We have the merit system to try limit the abuse that you're complaining about and this has already been stated but I'm not sure you're reading what people are saying. Before it people were either manually or botting accounts farming them for signature campaigns. Tell me, if you were theymos what would you change to make the forum better? Do you have a solution to minimise botting and farming and shitposting whilst not punishing everyone else? Would you completely scrap the merit system or implement something else instead? At the end of the day the merit and even rank system is meaningless to anybody who isn't here just to earn. It doesn't stop you from posting at all.

What do you want then? In one sentence.

Support an open discussion from the best minds in crypto, security, assets, technology, not some kids
hooked on Facebook-likes-Merits to make their Signature-Campaign posts.

(I know many signature-posters still make great posts, but many do not).

You can do this with as a newbie with zero merits. Be honest, this isn't really what you want. If you want a sig free discussion you can try the Serious Discussion boards.

you can buy Copper membership.

I would definitely pay to improve my rank and to support the forum. But the copper membership
seems to be for Newbies so they can post images. Am I missing something?

Paying for a higher membership (and to support the forum) is actually a much better system
than the Merit system because it improves quality, and I doubt people who pay to support
the forum would harm their accounts by spam posting.

I take it you didn't read my previous post then?  Roll Eyes However, I guarantee you even if we did offer more affordable donator ranks that came with the benefits of Full and Hero Members people would still complain why do we have to pay for this, you're just being greedy, how can I afford this when I can't earn here in the first place and so on. Whatever we do we can't win and people will always complain.

I saw in many local forums now (I wont mention names) people just keep giving each other Merit. And the more I looked into the
Merit system its a naturable behaviour. You will reward those who reward you. This does not improve forum quality at all.
I think you are right about this. In small communities, those that you help will tend to help you, and merit will be "circled" amongst those who are 'liked' in the community. This is a difficult problem to address because communities should have merit sources to give the community merit, and overregulation of communities can cause real harm.

Increasing the total sMerit available might somewhat alleviate this problem as sMerit will be less scarce, and there will be less of an incentive to send sMerit to only your friends.

Well of course they're going to give it amongst themselves mostly. If you're mostly posting exclusively in that board and can only speak the same language they're hardly going to be dishing it out to posts they either don't see or can't read/understand.

Ah hahay well done to you, pipped LFC_Bitcoin with that Leeds win after all, a hell lot more than the 4.5 I netted for the whole round. It was one-sided all the way, by the time I stopped watching after Bamford's goal I think I saw 10 shots to 3 on livescore.

Looks like another unique winner with hahay.

It's not really a promo just one of their 'request a bets' which you can build yourself but these ones are usually already there included in the 'Popular RequestABets'. I put them on most weeks if there's a game where I think there could be a lot of action.

Yeah, the local bookies I can access (fiat) here are really crap -- nothing compared to the UK ones. Even when there is a boost, and I do get alerts, it's almost still below the value of regular crypto. I kinda miss the times I was in UK, Sunday punters can really get a lot of joy. Loving the SB super boosts and specials though. They don't run into 100/1 but seriously good value for bets I'd normally take anyway.

Skybet is pretty good with promos and offers lots of different accumulator selections and you can make your own easily with the request-a-bet feature. They're pretty much the only site I use because I like the free £5 bet they give you every week as long as you bet £25 and I usually rack them up to save when I'm on a bit of a loss run to try recoup my money. Occasionally they give you free bets for other stuff as well. You could probably use it with a proxy I guess, especially if you'ver already got an account registered with them.

Looks like this week is another longer round as there's two extra games with the rescheduled Burnley/Fulham and Everton City matches. My scores are still in from when I initially made them so wary of that if you also did the same.

684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 08, 2021, 07:43:00 PM
Alisson in blunderland, that's just classic. Seems such a long time ago when he did the first blunder I recall two seasons ago against Leicester. We all know keepers do it, and Alisson tends to do it because he's so confident (sorta reminds me of Barthez in a way, with a lot more flair of course). The curse of keepers good with their feet, I guess. Gotta take in all these jabs in good spirit eh Reds?

If Palace have a very weakened team then I'll probably go with Leeds but I'll need to see the line-ups first. Is Zaha the only player that's out? People are saying there's a lot out but I can't see any concrete news about that.

Zaha was confirmed as absent at least 2/3 days ago. Believe he could actually play but they want him to recover fully (hamstring like Mane). Current bench is also not even full (3 empty slots, according to my Livescores app). McArthur, who's only missed one game, Ward also not named but they got our old Cliney filling in anyway so it's a lot of forward options, just not Zaha who's really everything good up there!

And damn, every time you post Sky promos I wish I could. SB have been getting really good with promos lately too, I take them almost every other day now if I see something I actually would bet on myself. Ayew could get a goal, even Benteke if they sub him wisely.

It's not really a promo just one of their 'request a bets' which you can build yourself but these ones are usually already there included in the 'Popular RequestABets'. I put them on most weeks if there's a game where I think there could be a lot of action.

Palace line up seems the same as last week apart from obviously Zaha and also Batshuayi is benched: https://www.instagram.com/p/CLCszmlAkmU/

Thinking of backing the home win now.

685  Other / Meta / Re: This shitty Merit System has ruined Bitcointalk and made it like Facebook on: February 08, 2021, 05:44:48 PM
People with a lot of Merit can earn $50 in BTC a week easily and more in signature campaigns. They have absolutely ZERO motivation to give others Merit because if anything giving others Merit will give them more competition in the signature campaigns.

The cancer that is Facebook with constant dopamine-addiction and global mass insanity and people just creating posts to get a like has also made its way to Bitcointalk now.

While Bitcoin promised to destroy the established system now and this place was great for discussions, now its just another Facebook. The old quality of message boards that you can still see in Posts by Satoshi and many others (in OLD posts where people actually made thoughtful posts and did own research and posted about experiences) is now completely disappeared because people rather make posts thinking they will get a like, or to spam their X posts a week for their signature campaigns.

While its great to offer people a way to earn bitcoin, basing this so much on the merit system is the stupidest thing Bitcointalk has ever done and it has ruined these forums. I must have seen the exact same ETH-shill post in different words 50 times last week in the Altcoin disussion board. Always by different usernames but probably the same people/same guy running all them in his bot network.

Was a great time but until this system is changed I rather write in some old mailing lists or even to my own notepad because there I have control over my words and thoughts and am not influenced by retarded distractions as the Merit system.

Have a nice day!

What I think you mean to say is signature campaigns have ruined the forum, which is obviously why you're complaining in the first place. It's not merit that has ruined it for everyone but shitposters who came here in the masses. The merit system was meant to be a way to stop people coming here only to earn via posting and before the merit system anyone could farm as many accounts as they wanted to abuse campaigns hence why something needed to change. I agree it can be quite hard to get sufficient merit to achieve a high rank but it's not impossible and you seem to have a got a decent bit of it recently. With that being said, I'm still in favour of letting users bypass the merit system by giving them the option to buy new donator ranks that come with the benefits of some of the higher ranks ie Silver Member gets you Senior status in all but name and so on. I think that would help those who are struggling to get merit or are impatient.
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 08, 2021, 05:35:48 PM
I'm with Trofo on Leeds. 2/1 is a value bet however you see it, certainly without Zaha Palace will be tempted to park the bus but I think Leeds are the type of team to just go for the onslaught. Liverpool face problems breaking teams down but Leeds are much more direct... harder to defend against. Super Boost on correct score is tempting... 1-0 or 2-0?

If Palace have a very weakened team then I'll probably go with Leeds but I'll need to see the line-ups first. Is Zaha the only player that's out? People are saying there's a lot out but I can't see any concrete news about that.

BREAKING NEWS:  Alisson caught a case of Karius Syndrome.

^  Stole that from the comments section of a Liverpool vs City highlight vid.  Lolol.  Cheesy

Yeah, he had a bit of a nightmare in the second half giving away the ball twice. Unusual for him. I wonder if Klopp will bench him?

Leeds vs C Palace tonight, the way Leeds play I don’t think it’ll be 0-0 Cheesy

I've put my usual bet on when I think there could be goals:

Not sure if Palace will get two without Zaha but it's worth a shot.

687  Economy / Reputation / Re: Long-time sig campaign farm ID'd via single wallet transaction on: February 08, 2021, 11:26:49 AM
I think the lesson to be drawn from this is that decentralized and anonymous systems will never really be able to implement even a semblance of fair business practices. There will always be the need for a way to track participant actions that affect the business. While this forum and bitcoiners proselytize about the benefits of "decentralization", they accept wrongdoing, fraud and plain corruption as "sleight of hand". We all accept this "He did it because he could, lets forget about it" mentality over such things. This is one of the biggest hurdles for the concept of decentralization to truly become useful. Because if you are going to be vulnerable to the same scheming and collusion, why really bother to change the present system. Lets just keep morals, ethics aside and everybody go mooooooon.

You can just as easily steal and defraud with cash, anonymously or otherwise. This isn't something unique to decentralized and anonymous systems. This is also just another example of why morality isn't always black and white. Is it ok to steal? Most people would say no. Is it ok to steal to feed your dying children? Most would probably say yes or would do so if they were in that situation. Is is ok to use multiple free coupons for something that explicitly states only one per customer? Who cares? Of course you can argue that it's not fair to everyone else but if something can be exploited it will and for those that get caught doing so there's likely going to be consequences. I don't think there's ever going to be a system that can't be cheated somehow though. People are pushing for things like blockchain-based voting systems and whilst I think they'd be better than the current very outdated 'counting-by-hand' system that most govs seem to use blockchain systems can still be cheated at the user end. People will just start selling their votes and without in person ID checks our some other system fraud will still be possible, but just think of how many votes were lost in the post or how many of the people counting engaged in fraud or unfair practices and there's no real checks or balancing with the current system.

It’s absolutely 100% fair free market anarchy..
~
In a decentralized world you have to think of what is possible without bounds of morality, and expect whatever to happen accordingly..
Keep your eyes out for scammers and others to take advantage of every and any opportunity..
~
This is crypto.. Stop thinking in a world of rules and control and start thinking in a world where all possibilities and opportunities will be taken advantage of by someone, and protect yourself accordingly..
I think this would be a very good subject for another topic! In a way I really like what you said here, but at the same time I totally disagree. From what I've seen, I think theymos would completely agree with you point of view here.

There's always a least two points of view. For instance, some people including many here believe total anarchy and no governments would be the better system. Personally I don't. I think big gov is bad and should be scaled back but I think if it was just an 'everybody-for-themselves' free-for-all then it would be a pretty nightmare-ish scenario to me and bodies would soon start piling up on the streets, but hey, the rich guys living in their fortresses protected with tanks and guns would be ok and everyone else can fight it out on the streets.

Does it make any of you that never got into the CM campaign angry that he was 3X a better poster than you? Lol..
Because that’s basically what it boils down to..

You can look at it like cheating a lottery. Imagine ten equally great posters apply for ten spots on the campaign. One guy enters with 8 accounts and three of his get it, whilst the others who don't have essentially been cheated by the odds.

He stole money from other potential participants, and cheated the company that is requesting the service (as they stated that they didn't want to enrol alts). Just because you can't name them, doesn't mean they don't exist, like suchmoon said. He might have stole 2 BTC from you. How would you feel about that?

He didn't steal anything. It's only stealing if it was someone else's property in the first place. He cheated the rules and took a potential spot away from someone but it's not stealing. If there's only two cans of beans left on the shelf in a store and someone gets there before me and buys two they haven't stolen them from me. They got there first. Maybe it's only one can of beans per person and maybe they jumped the que to get them or maybe they got their wife to also go in and get a can or two as well. It's 'unfair for sure but that's life and it's certainly not stealing.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 08, 2021, 10:35:37 AM
I think I would have liked Conor get a fight in with someone else before the rematch with Poirier. I know that Chandler has been quite vocal about fighting for a belt against Poirier, and honestly thought he might deserve it more. Conor, has been out a long time, and hasn't won in a long time now (simply because he's been doing other things). I know that Conor, and Khabib actually have been pushing their own fitness programs recently, so you'd expect Conor to keep on fighting if he didn't get this rematch right away, but then again Khabib is still doing it without the exposure of the UFC right now.

I'd still probably want Conor to win in the rematch, and we might see some better odds this time around making a punt worth it on him. If this does happen, then its the perfect time for Conor to show his commitment, despite many questioning it.

Well there's certainly many more 'better' fights for him but they're also the tougher ones which are potentially not great for his brand right now if he can't win them. If Conor just keeps getting beat by every other fighter he's gonna quickly go down the rankings and become a has-been and it will end up with him being the one looking for fights rather than people desperately trying to fight him. I think he knows he can beat Poirier fairly easy so he's likely banking on that. He'll be better prepared next time and know what to expect so I think Poirier will have to mix it up as I doubt he'll win by the kicks again. I don't know what Conor will do if he loses this trilogy fight though.

However, similar to show business, if the movie will not make the projected profit, it might not be produced hehe. Who would like to watch this? The timing would be wrong. Also, a fight vs. Nate Diaz and win might also not save Conor from his situation. He can short cut out of the situation by fighting Justin Gaethje and win, however hehehe.

Any fight involving McGregor will make big bank. His fights are all in the top 3 of all time including the second Poirier bout:

I'm sure the trilogy fight would equal or maybe even beat the second one, or for sure be top 5. A trilogy fight against Diaz would probably do even better as would a rematch against Khabib which would almost certainly take the first spot again.

Yeah, proper 12 is about the typical price for "consumer" whiskeys, and what I mean by that is the ones which are the most popular. Think Jack Daniels, Jim Bean, and all those other similar type whiskeys. As I don't typically drink these types of brands, I've just ignored Proper 12, just because I would expect the same type of tastes. I'd be interested in hearing off anyone on here who's actually tasted it, and isn't inflating their opinions on a review as there's definitely been mixed reviews on it.

All whisky taste like fire ass water to me. Most people who drink it probably don't like it or could tell much of a difference between other brands.

Back to the UFC, I'll put up my predictions in the next day or so. As for Conor, I don't think he deserves Khabib, as it would be the the same old story, and I don't think Khabib is actually wanting to come out of retirement, and it was just Dana trying to get eyes on the last event. However, I think Conor should be fighting a top 5 fighter other than Poirier before getting his rematch.

He doesn't deserve it. You can't get a title shot on the back of a loss. Khabib likely won't fight him anyway as he also feels like he doesn't deserve it. I think Conor is going to have to have a few spectacular results under his belt before we see any potential Khabib rematch and that's assuming he isn't done for good.

Conor has claimed that he's been preparing for the Pac fight, and overlooked Poirier, but I'm not sure I entirely believe that. He must have known how dangerous Poirier was, and he knows that you have to keep fighting to be the best, something which he hasn't been doing recently. So, you would have expected him to train the best he could coming into this fight.

'Preparing' might be a loose term. I'm sure he's keeping fit but I don't think that fight will happen anytime soon and Conor's probably just using that potentially happening as a bargaining chip with the UFC to get him the fights he wants or he'll concentrate on boxing.

It was a shocking ending, Cory Sandhagen did a fast KO to a vanguard that is Frankie Edgar, That Flying was very effective indeed mostly for a shorter opponent, in my opinion, Sandhagen was calculating Frankie Edgar's movement before he tries and connects that flying knee otherwise it will not become effective to get Frankie Edgar out cold on the canvas. I sure thought it was going to be a bloody fight but Sandhagen knowing Edgar to be a tough one to crack resolves in taking out Edgar faster.

I didn't watch the card but watched the highlights of this one. I still think Masvidal's knee was the best knee knockout ever. If someone is going to beat Khabib they need to catch him with a knee when he catapults at them to take them down which he always does. If you're fast enough and you land a knee I think that would be lights out for most people. It's easier said than done though especially at the scorpion pace Khabib throws himself at people though.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 08, 2021, 10:04:59 AM
Liverpool unfortunately did not show any consistency this year and now Manchester City leads alone after Manchester United could not win against Everton.

I thought they played decent enough the first half even though it was pretty boring but they managed to keep it goaless. Went to shit towards the end though and City were just too strong.

On a bright side I got two correct scores this week with Tottenham and Chelsea games which helped me climb the ladder a bit.

I also got two scores right. Only got another two results right though.

Looks like the yellow cap this week is between LFC, Death Angel, hahay and Mosala. Looks like whoever gets the right score will win it though a close one will do for LFC.

what would Leeds do tonight, seems as goals are certain, and win is not that certain tonight

It's a hard game to call but I'll probably go for a draw unless there's drastic changes to the line-ups. If Palace are missing some big players I'll probably go with a home win.
690  Other / Meta / Re: Decline of Marketplace activity/trading on: February 05, 2021, 10:46:34 AM
It's a discussion forum primarily not a marketplace, but either way there's nothing the forum can do about it or promote it. What would you suggest? Offer to cover escrow fees or offer free shipping or something? There's nothing you can do if people don't want to trade here and the forum shouldn't get involved in that just like it doesn't get involved with many other things like scams and such. It's a niche market and always will be for numerous reasons.

To be honest I'd rather just use other such platforms. They have more of an audience unless it's some niche bitcoin thing, but if you want to sell regular goods there's many better sites and apps that you're likely going to have better success with.

We are not using BTC Million Dollar Space!BTC

We can easily publish the precious data in the space as shown in the SS. It is the first thing you see every-time you visit the Home / log in / Any Section or Board of the forum.

It could be literally used for anything from the Advertising of Projects to the Auctions or New releases. This will help direct the users to the specific target in no time. The space is completely useless at this point. One can publish hell lot of things here.

It could generate decent income for the forum and can also help advertisers to reach new level of audience.

For example, an auctioneer can decide to publish his Service Link in this space with the images to attract new buyers easily. They could share x% to the forum for using that space. Tell me if this won't help? It could be amazing way of publication and revenue generation.

Many ways are there to increase the activity and income on this forum. The only thing is we need an agenda, explorer team and developers for the same.  Cheesy

I've suggested things like this in the past with people being able to buy banners at the top of certain sub boards so they can target their audience better ie a gambling site would advertise in the gambling section and so on, but theymos doesn't seem to care about it. In fact, he seems to be against more advertising or doesn't want banners everywhere, but I think they'd be better than sigs and even if people find them unsightly it can't be more unsightly that sig ads especially when they come along with spam. If he did want to generate more money - and that's not something he seems to be that bothered about right now - you could easily implement more donator ranks like I mentioned above and that would be a great source of passive income and one that doesn't involve unsightly banners or sigs.
691  Economy / Reputation / Re: Long-time sig campaign farm ID'd via single wallet transaction on: February 05, 2021, 10:34:32 AM

Against hop hopen, I hope he comes back and uses this anonymity to come clean with the story of how he feels about doing this  and shares his thought process about the "ethics" of it all.

I doubt whatever he says will change anything so it's probably futile offering explanations or excuses. It's hardly a crime what he did and he could have just seen it as having multiple jobs or sources of income. I think the people who want a spot on the campaign might not see it like that but at the end of the day he probably did it just because he could and it's relatively easy money. Would it matter to most if he really needed the money or it was his only source of income? Doubt it.

Also wonder if mods knew this by IP the entire time and kept their mouths shut..
This is important to know. It'll be great if the mods can clarify this.. Whether they actually scrutinize IP logs for wrongdoing?? The least the mods can do is look at the IP logs of those accounts and see for themselves whether it was possible to identify them? This would probably bring some form of closure to those who feel cheated that the most aspirational Sig campaign on the forum was exploited for so long.

Read my above post. It's none of the admins or mods business. Only admins have access to IPs and having multiple accounts isn't against the rules nor would they care about what campaigns they were on so it's not something they would look into and certainly wouldn't share that info. I can guarantee you there have been worse abuses than this gone on in the past and I'm sure there's many more who are doing stuff like this that we don't know about especially in the alt coin campaign world, but it's not something staff would get involved with unless it breaks the rules. All it would take would be to use a proxy for each account and staff would be non the wiser anyway.

I think it's the best fight for him now. Who else could he fight that he's got a chance with? Conor looked good in the first round, he just got shook in the second so I think I'd probably back him to win the rematch. It's a fight I think he can easily win just like the first match-up. Then he can go onto more exciting fights but he shouldn't be jumping the gun and going for fights like Khabib right now (not that Khabib would agree to fight him right now anyway). He needs to prove he can beat Poirier though. I don't think either of them deserve title shots right now especially not McGregor.

Nobody buys Proper 12 because it cost a lot. This blend cost as much as decent single malt, which quality is way greater than Proper 12. Proper 12 is like Jack Daniels, but cost 20-30% more. I like how our local retailers increase Proper 12 price every time Conor fight, and add a discount  Grin

But thanks to Conor, now everyone tried to produce something. Dana White - Howlers head, Poirier - sous for example, Khabib - mobile carrier "Eagle Mobile".

I have never tried Proper 12, mainly because of the bad reviews, and also because of the very high price. Yes, I also noticed how before the fight of Conor the price rises and they make a discount. ) Conor is a good showman but it's just as good that he thinks on the future  and producing a product that can support his future life. Only he would have to think about lowering the price, so that his whiskey would first become popular and everything is available and only after that raise the price a little. I think such a strategy would give a better result in sales.

It seems to be around the same price as Jack Daniels over here. As with any athletes they tend to retire fairly early so they're often out of work in their 30s so a smart one will diversify, especially one like as brandable as Conor as he's one of the biggest/most lucrative fighters in the world so it makes sense to promote other businesses whilst he has eyeballs on him and that way he'll continue to generate cash once he's out of the limelight or stepped away from fighting.

So @Tomahawk9 won the 22nd round and extend his lead on the top of the leaderboard . He has been standing on top of the leaderboard for weeks and yet this is the first time that he wins the Yellow Cap   Tongue

Slow and steady wins the race. It's much better in the long run to have consistent scores every week than win the yellow cap once or twice or be challenging for it a few times.

I still say this is all the jinxing caused by all the pundits saying how good we looked earlier in the season. Same as what happened when Arsenal sat at the top at the start of the league. It is like as soon as everyone says how good a club is, it seems to fall. So in that spirit,,,  Manchester City look so good and they are now serious favorites to win it right?

Losing Van Dijk was a big blow. City have looked a lot stronger from the start to be fair. I don't think they've been playing exceptional though. The game between them this weekend is going to be really interesting. Maybe Liverpool can get some points from it being at home and turn their fortunes round.

If you often make many more than the 50 post maximum, and there is an open spot, I don't see why DS would not be willing to give you a second spot, so that you would be eligible for payment from 100 posts/week, provided the additional 50 posts you make each week have been consistently better than other applicants who were applying for open spots.

This wouldn't be a good idea and definitely isn't fair to others. I'm sure there are lots of people who can, would or do make more than their paid amount, but if this became a thing there would be a hell of a lot more people trying to go for multiple spots. It's best just to keep it at one per person and if someone makes more than their allotted 50 post maximum then that's not only just a bonus for Chipmixer but also proves that that person isn't posting just to get paid. Either way, I would be very surprised if Darkstar started doing something like this. He might as well just up the maximum post count to 100 or something to make it fairer but 50 post a week is a pretty nice amount and works out to 10 a day 5 days a week. Any more and people would probably start forcing themselves to make more posts which isn't good.

For clarity, while I do think it should be okay for someone to enroll alts in a signature campaign, I also believe this should either be disclosed (at least privately to the campaign manager), or for there to not be a rule prohibiting this. Enrolling two accounts owned by one person is not something that should be done if the campaign manager is not aware, or if there is a rule prohibiting this.

Most people aren't going to disclose their alts unless it's already public knowledge, but they don't do that because most campaigns strictly prohibit multiple accounts so that's why people keep it on the hush hush. I very much doubt things are going to change regarding that or how people treat 'cheaters' of campaigns. It's best to just not get greedy and keep it to one account per campaign or certainly don't get caught but there's likely always going to be consequences for those that do.

Looks like the Poirier trilogy fight is definitely in the works:

Quote
BEST OF THREE Conor McGregor ‘buzzing’ for Dustin Poirier trilogy ‘for all the marbles’ as American confirms it’s in the pipeline

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/13942303/conor-mcgregor-dustin-poirier-rematch-ufc/

Makes sense for everyone involved really especially if both fighters want it. It's going to be red panty night for Poirier for sure. I'm not sure who I'd pick in a rematch. Conor needs to get the job done though to get back on track. Losing again is going to put him back by quite a bit.

Quote
McGregor has tonight uploaded a lengthy caption on Instagram where he all-but confirms the two warriors will go at it for a third time for 'all the marbles'.

And the triumphant Poirier appeared to confirm it too, as he tweeted shortly after: "You know we are going to do it a third time."

Alongside a highlights video from the fight, former two-weight world champ McGregor wrote: "What a trilogy I now have on my hands. Exciting!

"With a handle on the leg kicks I will get back to having fun in there. I was in second gear cruising this fight. Best condition I’ve ever been in.

"After the wrestling and clinch exchanges my shots still held their pop. First time for me with this so I am very encouraged to keep going.

"It was the first time I did not use/nor need the stool between rounds also. I did need the stool after though that’s for sure.

"I am extremely happy I did not need to use the stool between rounds here anyway. Another first for me!

Maybe he should use the stool this time. It's going to be interesting seeing how he adapts his game and deals with those leg kicks which he's obviously going to be vary weary of. Is Poirier going to just keep kicking or try something else?

First Burnley and now Brighton. We are home sick. I lost my hope.

This is not us!

I didn't watch either games, but did those teams play great or did Liverpool just play shite? They're playing Man City on Sunday and that could be embarrassing for them. They really need to take some points from City if they wanna stay in the title race. There's a seven point gap right now with City having a game in hand as well. I'm doing terrible this round. Didn't get any points from last nights games other than 3 from a correct score on the City match.

I'm not so sure after losing 2-0 at home to Newcastle last week. Leeds played well as well. Either a home win or maybe a draw for me but I wouldn't back Everton especially away.

Leeds for the win for me actually. Everton were exciting early season but I think that rested too much on Richarlison and Digne, and once those two got red carded in succession, they never seemed to find their rhythm again.

in the end Everton won it yesterday, to quote myself

~snip
Everton should win today at Leeds

It was close though. Leeds hit the post twice and I think they deserved a point overall.

Spurs v Chelsea tonight is going to be a tough one to call. Don't trust either teams to get the job done.

Well it's always a catch 22 situation as you have to show the evidence at some point if you want to expose someone and some people will learn from that. You could maybe offer sufficient proof but keep something to yourself id there's more but it's always going to be cat and mouse chase. If you're smart then you'll never get caught or exposed (think satoshi), but if you're and idiot or don't cover your tracks sufficiently then you'll likely get caught eventually (Ross Ulbricht) but at some point how you got caught is going to come to light and is a necessary process so there's nothing you can do about people learning what not to do. A while back I think some people did discuss or propose some sort of hidden sub board for scam investigations but that could be compromised and even so at some point the info is going to become public so there's not much you can do. Scammers and schemesters will likely get smarter and clever trying to avoid detection and scambusters/grasses will also get more determined and thorough. Covering your tracks by not using the same addresses is pretty basic way of not getting caught and most people should know that by now though.

Do you believe those participants are doing a signature campaign on the Chipmixer they don't know about address connection? Of course, they know, but he/she wasn't imagined that he/she will be caught. I assume you mean that we shouldn't reveal all the methods of exposing scammers. But fortunately when you will try to prove someone as a scammer, ultimately the methods of investigation will be revealed. For example, nutildah exposed signature by investigating bitcoin addresses, if he doesn't show the connection between each other, will you believe all those accounts are connected. No one will believe verbal explanations without solid evidence. Yes, we can keep secret investigation tools.

Not everyone knows but it's pretty obvious to anyone that isn't a complete idiot that you can be caught this way.

Nobody is buying Proper 12 whisky because they think it's better than all the rest; they're buying it because it's Connor's and the stock in that brand will decrease drastically if he walks away.

Depends where you live. I'm not sure it's even available in England or at least it wasn't so if some shops stock it they've probably imported it which will pump up the price. Regardless, if Conor disappears from the fighting world that's going to take away a lot of eyeballs from his whisky which he probably needs to keep in the limelight for it to be successful until it supersedes him.

Also there is Jorge Masvidal's tequila and according to a news item last year, Jon Jones had an open bottle of this on the seat of his car when he was caught drunk driving again hehehe.

In any case, I predict Dana's next storyboards might be Conor vs. Nate in the welterweight division. Michael Chandler vs. Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier vs. Charles Oliviera.

Conor and Nate would be a good fight, though it's one that could be a bit dicey for Conor, but with Diaz being out of action for quite some time that could be an advantage. I think the Diaz and Poirier trilogy fights will both be on the cards at some point assuming Conor keeps fighting. I think the Poirier one is the most likely to happen especially given that they both seemed to want it and both fighters will think it's a fight they can easily win since they've done it once each before. It's for sure the biggest payday Poirier will get right now so if Conor wants it as well he'd be silly not to make it happen.

I feel sorry for Arsenal when they had the game under control but a red card which could have been avoided compromised their game and finally led them to a lost game.
English refs are the worst I don't know why VAR was introduced in the first place, I thought it was introduced to correct mistakes like this one because the Red card to David Luiz was uncalled for. They might win the appeal but the match is ruined forever.

Well it should be used for obvious errors but it's being used for everything, and checking every goal is overkill and unnecessary. It's made the game worse for sure. It takes far too much time out of the game which was already an issue. They should go to a system where each team gets three appeals to check something and once they've used them that's it. It wouldn't be so bad if VAR always got the calls right but we're still seeing mistakes and offsides given for being a millimetre offside and sometimes if they had a better angle ie one straight down the line it probably wouldn't even be offside half of the time.

Manchester United 9 - 0 Southampton

unbelievable, it looked like manchester united was on the field alone
You're right, It's 9 heaven for united, and It was a pleasure to watch Manchester United tonight. Manchester United are known for record breakers, and this confidence boost into their next game. I still can't understand what the heck was going on with Southampton, couldn't make any score and lost 9-0?

Well they were a man down from 2 minutes into the game so that played a big factor.

It seems that timeloard believes one of the accounts is a farmed account connected to a different farm. IDK if the accounts are still “connected” to the same person as the connection is from several years ago. My guess is that all the accounts in the OP were likely available for sale at one point, if not actually sold.

I wouldn't trust timelord's ratings especially ones from so long ago as 2017. He used to have a bizarre habit of tying people together using twisted logic that only made sense to him. My memory is hazy but I'm pretty sure figmentofmyass was well known to belong to an account farmer or was sold at one point. That name definitely sticks out.

Another good example is this one. This guy said, "as they say", so I wondered who does he mean by "they" because I've never heard the expression said that way before. It turns out it was himself.

"as they say" is a pretty common turn of phrase. It's just being rhetorical.

Which is too bad because he's quite an intelligent guy.

He has to be intelligent for writing so much posts everyday in same campaign with 3 accounts and from bitcoin he earned this is probably his full time job, and playing poker with himself figmentofmyass vs manchester93 it's a winwin situation for him until he lose it all Cheesy

It doesn't really take a genius to make posts here. It probably takes a decent chunk of time and effort especially to get them onto the campaign in the first place but after that making posts is relatively easy, not to mention very lucrative especially with three accounts so it's worth it. You could probably even do it in your spare time after work to be honest if you were efficient enough. He's not exactly writing thesisis with every post so typing words on a forum isn't exactly a big deal even giving his volume.

How the heck do users even post with that many accounts? They have to be posting in the same threads and answering each other. I barely post on my 1 account, couldn't imagine the hell it would be to try making quotas weekly on 10+ accounts.

Probably easier than doing a full time job. Would you rather write reports as a desk jockey all day or do manual labour all week or just make posts on a forum all day instead.

If these guys all used the same device for posting then I'd imagine one of them would've posted something using the wrong account and get busted much earlier.
Wonder if they just have a bunch of cheap chromebooks that they use to keep everything separated.

No need. Just use different browsers. If the forum used browser fingerprinting it might require this sort of effort to evade detection ultimately but the admins rarely look into things like ban evasion so they're not going to bother with sig campaigners.

I personally don’t think bending the rules of a signature campaign is all that big of a deal..
I think entering multiple alts in a free contest is much more “cheating” than breaking a sig campaign rule..
In fact I’m not even sure “cheating” the campaign is the correct word to use if he did in fact create all of that quality content and therefore quality advertising which probably had zero effect on the value of advertising he was paid to provide..

Depends on your stance really. It's obviously not a crime, but it's against the terms of service, and a lot of people here tend to think abusing campaigns this way is shady or at the very least dishonest. Chipmixer campaign is very in demand so those slots could have been given to other people so there's an issue of fairness/greed that people won't appreciate.

Also wonder if mods knew this by IP the entire time and kept their mouths shut..
Only theymos and Cyrus have access to IP logs, not the moderators. I would also be very surprised if it turned out they were arbitrarily looking up user's IP logs just for the fun of it without some prior suspicion or indication.

Correct. And this wouldn't be a forum issue anyway so not something they'd get involved with. It's probable he used proxies as well, or would have been smart to do so, but then again wouldn't have been necessary but not something you'd want to leave to chance.

It’s just more sensational because it’s chipmixer...

This isn't really true. This sort of farming/abuse has always caused a stir here and has always elicited negative feedback. The fact that it's chipmixer just means it's a bigger payday and more of a headline given the financial loss to the farmer. If someone was discovered with ten accounts on another campaign the thread would be very similar to this one.
