683  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL Mini-Rig Order Date/Ship Date on: July 17, 2012, 02:43:55 PM
It is the SCAM because the sooner in the queue you receive the ASIC the more money you make. Buy selling your queue you miss that opportunity.
Why would someone trading in a non-SC rig get a higher place in the queue than someone who pays outright? Huh They would be at the end, same as with a new order.
He's buying queue places for NON-SC rigs.
684  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Riser cables/extenders (15 total, a few different kinds) on: July 17, 2012, 02:32:19 PM
I found 2 more x1-to-x16 risers that may or may not work, I don't have any cards to test them with. They will be included at no extra cost. Also, price reduced.
685  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Mini rig - GPU test & diagnostics station - PSU, CPU, RAM, Mobo, frame on: July 17, 2012, 02:30:57 PM
You could use it as a base for a full time miner too, and just swap out stuff for testing. It keeps you from having entire large rigs down while you figure out what's wrong with a single card.

Bump for great prices!
687  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Windows 7 Professional Full Retail (Sealed) on: July 17, 2012, 02:28:15 PM
ok thanks ... what are the differences ?
An upgrade version requires that you have a previous version as well, a full version allows you to do a new install without needing an old install.
688  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL Mini-Rig Order Date/Ship Date on: July 17, 2012, 02:09:39 PM
I don't think people who ordered $15k equipment are dumb enough to fall for this "I will buy your queue". BFL has stated that before the MiniRig ships, the customer will be contacted and offered to exchange the MiniRig funds for SC Singles of equivalent value, so anyone selling the FPGA MiniRig queue is then forced to place a new order for the SC Singles which means he goes right to the back of the queue.
And with SC singles worth $15000 coming close to 400GH/s, queue here is worth more than the FPGA MiniRig will produce from now until October.

So people, don't fall for this "I will buy your queue scam"

Why is it a scam? Potentially, only the buyer loses out, but it all depends on when SC actually ships.

690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Putting your money where Pirate's mouth is. on: July 17, 2012, 01:47:17 AM
I wonder if this caught pirate in USD or coin? This run today is exactly the short term volatility pirate was talking about. Hopefully since he just paid interest he hadn't sold coin already....
It's probably him, buying coins for a payout. Grin
691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin soaring, highest I've seen it since last year while it was decreasing on: July 17, 2012, 01:42:56 AM
I actually think the price is skyrocketing because people are buying BFL stuff with cash-thus converting into btc via bitpay and providing an artificially high demand for BTC at the moment.
Their stuff was available for preorder a long time before the price started rising so dramatically.

Also, BTC9.24 and rising!

RJK, sorry you had trouble getting an address change for delivery.  We're switching into a CRM system to handle the volume more gracefully.  Depending on the state of your account, some address changes are easier to adjust than others.  In the case of PayPal, shipping anywhere other than the original verified address is frowned upon (by PayPal).  In non PayPal cases, we can/do change the address.  However, if it's not yet converted into our newer system then an address change might introduce some risk of confusion.  I don't know who you are to look you up, but I expect this is what happened with your address change request.  The CSR was just being overly careful.

These are necessary growing pains and not a sign of indifference to our customers.  Thanks for your patience.
Sounds good, going from a spreadsheet to a system with a database will certainly do wonders for any business. It was a Bitcoin order and shall I just re-submit in a few days? Perhaps by then you will have completed the switch.

To stop Kano's bitching, it might be a good idea to provide remote access to a device so that he can fix the cgminer bugs that the hardware seems to be tickling.

wildemagic, geez, I don't even know what to say. It appears that you have no idea what a monumental task it is to provide a complete hardware and software package. Perhaps you should be over at the Lancelot thread, moaning about how it hasn't even been delivered yet?
694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't get it - who is trading at MtGox and how do they withdraw cash? on: July 16, 2012, 11:55:33 PM
Don't they support liberty reserve? Has it been delayed at all?

the old lady who builds everything with a soldering iron ... Cheesy
Derp, that's not a soldering iron, it's a hot-air SMD rework system.

There was only about 15 to 20 bitcoin in the wallet. I just got a message back from the dedicated service provider and it seems they can't reboot the server.  They get File Not Found and then it goes to the GRUB prompt.  I am still waiting to hear from the VPS.  If it is the same, I am boned.  The backup wallet was on the VPS. It would also mean that both servers where hacked.  Either way, I don't have any time to rebuild the free server.  I think I wasted enough money on this project by now.  Please suggest remidiation solution for lost bitcoins.

Anyone want p2pmining.com code or Domain?
Tell them to mail you the hard drive so you can run some forensic analysis on it.

Yes, and yes.
698  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL Labs just like Get-rich-quick-schemes on: July 16, 2012, 09:39:50 PM
Older process ASIC wouldn't be $10 million, seems $500000 to $1 million would be enough to produce a 130nm - 65nm ASIC.
nope.

btw 180nm is the state of the are for small volumes (Like a single 9 wafer run)
Yes, but how complicated was the design, and did that cost figure include things such as the salaries of the designers and other costs besides just the mask+wafer NRE?

Funny, I was just about to post here for an update.

Do you ever deal in USD goxcodes, or is it strictly BTC? I could use me some dwolla right about now. If not, I guess I could convert to BTC and then transfer to you.
