684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giveaway threads are not allowed on: July 10, 2018, 01:05:43 PM
So some admins have their own laws when they have look on an airdrop. In our case users have NOT been incentivised to do so and we just asked them to visit our thread (like putting a normal link on a website) and they didn't get anything for visiting or posting. But our thread has been closed and the user who opened it has been locked for 30 days - 3 weeks before our ICO ends. This happend without any warning and nevertheless we respected all rules of the forum here. This methodes are not good and some admins should think about what they are doing to the cryptoworld when acting like governments nowadays (this is the evil of crypto in the sense of bitcoin "over regulation" and "rules" which can't be executed because they are not well formalized and everybody interprets it in a different way ...). But, the real enoying thing is, if you ask, if you write an admin (an especial one) he grants scam but doesn't reply to your messages. That is not ok, that is unproffessional, that is mafia-like - or what do you think?
Which thread are you referring to? If you were ambiguous in asking users "to visit our thread", many users could've misconstrued it as a a requirement to post on it. If a large number of users did so (usually signified by dozens to hundreds of pages of garbage quality posts), the moderator handling the case might interpret it the same way.

It has not been told them, not directly neither nor in a subtle form. It has been always told that they get nothing if they visit - also our telegram admins told them this when they asked. But misinterpreting leads to misunderstanding and this leads to stress and later then to hate. The misinterpreting guy will never draw back because he might lose his face, this is also the founding of (some) wars.
Which thread / user are you referring to? If they've definitely positively 100% did not incentivize (be it intentionally, accidentally or pretending to be accidentally) posting in one or several threads, I'll unban them.

If you're talking about Avinoc, they had a link to the thread among other airdrop tasks, formatted as an airdrop task and vaguely asking the users to visit and somehow participate in the thread. I don't care if it was "accidental", because over a 113 pages of garbage posts seem to indicate that quite a few users took it as an airdrop task.

698  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: July 08, 2018, 11:29:01 AM
Hello everybody, I translated the original post by mprep into Dutch. You can find the translation here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4606921

Hopefully this translation will help some people to better understand the forum. I'm glad I could contribute something to the forum by providing this translation. If someone has questions about the translation, please let me know!
Added to the list of translations, thanks.

What is needed to add something to the rules??
I already started a thread here with request to add the use of homographs to be forbidden in the rules.
I have opened a Poll, too.
Is there anything else I should do?
Considering that the homograph ban would be sitewide, you're going to have to convince theymos.

hello sir, I want to ask you whether this topic is addressed to a new ICO project, or for an individual?
If you're asking about who can bid (companies or individuals), both.

Quote
I do not understand what this mister means, and is there a time limit when the person who managed to get your signature is?
The signature ad for the previous auction's winner runs for a month.

Quote
I think the auction means you do not want to have it anymore, that means you're really ready to lose your signature, right? sorry again if i misunderstand from your intent to auction the signature.
I'm auctioning off a part of my signature space for a month. The user who wins the auction gets to put up an ad of his service / goods / whatever and it'll stay there for a month, provided the ad follows the auction's rules.

Quote
if you do not mind can i spread this topic?
If by spread, you mean link to it, sure.
700  Economy / Auctions / Signature space - Global Moderator - 5900+ posts - around 100 posts/month on: July 03, 2018, 06:06:23 PM
I'm auctioning off my signature. I make on average around 100 posts per month. The rules for this auction are:

  • No NSFW content.
  • No scams or shady businesses.
  • No [glow] tags.
  • I have the right to reject bids or advertisements. You can offer a different one of course.
  • I have the right to shorten, extend, restart or cancel the auction at any point in time.
  • If a user's rank is lower than Member and the bid increase (compared to the last valid bid) is bigger than 0.01 BTC, he has to send in the bid (or the increase if it's not the user's first bid) to 3PL5BStNmwzn8YfEfx4NX2vm5ZYgyeJ92c or the bid is invalid. If the user in question doesn't win the auction, the bid amount minus the miner fee (may vary; depends on current state of Bitcoin) will be sent back.
  • If the service turns out to be a scam, I'll remove the ad and your money will not be refunded.
  • The auction winner must provide payment and the signature ad code within 48 hours of a request via PM.
  • Your signature will have an "Advertisement: " text before it, a notice and should fit within the following example:

Quote

Advertisment:
<Advertisement here>
|  Some sort of
|  text of mine
 |   Websites advertised in my signature are not endorsed by me.
 |  Advertise in my signature

The minimum bid is 0.03 BTC, the bids should be evenly divisible by 0.01 BTC. The auction will end on July 28th when this thread is closed if there is at least 1 valid bid. If there isn't one, it'll end 3 days after the first valid bid is placed. The winner's advertisement will run for 1 month.

Examples for both valid and invalid bids:
Quote
0.03 BTC <------- VALID
0.02 BTC <------- INVALID, lower than minimum bid

0.04 BTC <------- VALID
0.035 BTC <------- INVALID, bid is not evenly divisible by 0.01 BTC

0.10 BTC <------- VALID
0.2556642 BTC <------- INVALID,  bid is not evenly divisible by 0.01 BTC

P.S. Custom offers (that DO NOT include me removing either of the advertisement notices ("Advertisment:") or ("Websites advertised in my signature are not endorsed by me.") ) are welcome via PM though keep in mind that the price of advertising will be much higher.
