The next will be failed to qualify for the 2026 world cup? It will be a big sin for them, football is a religion there. I cannot even imagine that happening! Brazil is sitting in the 6th position right now after some historical failures made by this team. The good news is there will be a long pause period so the team can recover and restart again with Ancelotti? The next matchday will be in September 2024 so there is time to consolidate the team with other good players in my opinion. The other good news, there will be 6 teams from South America joining the World Cup and even an additional spot after inter-confederation play-off. I agree Chelsea always surprises big clubs lately and with them you cannot never know. But to be at the very top you need to win against underdogs always thats how you are at very top. The league is won on small games not on big games. Chelsea is improving each match so i dont know what to bet on them honestly
If Newcastle was doing good as the previous season, I would say that they are the favourite ones definitely. Unfortunately this isn't the case right now. They are fluctuating from a match to another and the difference between them and Chelsea isn't that big. Even their odds according to bookies are the same. I don't know this could be considered as a good thing or not since Newcastle are playing home so normally their odds should be better. I can't decide which team to support but I guess a draw is likely to happen unless a red card or an awful performance was shown by one of them. |

Uruguay haven’t just only grown points and move up the log but also confidence, it sits well when a team gets victory in consecutive fixtures that boosts their confidence going into the next match and while checking out the logs, Argentina who sits pretty top might have Brazil to worry about with Uruguay coming so fast behind, Uruguay heads to play Bolivia, an encounter I know Uruguay will come out top.
Uruguay didn't have hard time knocking Bolivia with 3 goals without receiving any. They moved quickly to the second spot after inflicting 2 defeats to the other top teams Brazil and Argentina. Nice performance and results out there for Uruguay players. I don't think Argentina should worry a lot comparing to Brazil which are 6th right now  All eyes will be fixed on the Brazil vs Argentina because results from the fixture will make the log look so good and open counterparts, Colombia and Venezuela who also won their matches are making the group one that’s eye catchy and it’ll be fun to watch South American football because as they say that’s where football is made.

It's definitely not going to be an easy match for Paris Saint Germain, even though they will be playing at home. Monaco is a club that can really beat Paris Saint Germain, especially if Paris Saint Germain have a decline in performance like they showed at the beginning of the season.
They must also realize something like this, because after all Monaco cannot be underestimated with their performances that tend to be good until week 12.
If Paris Saint Germain make a lot of mistakes and lose a lot of focus, I'm sure they will lose to Monaco in this match.
If the game was few weeks ago I would say Monaco chance is higher but right now PSG is doing fine and should win the game. They are playing home additionally. Odds in bookies are in favour of PSG. Bayern Munich don't look to take DFB-Pokal as a serious competition. That wasn't their first defeat vs unknown team in this competition and likely will not be the last. At the opposite, Bundesliga title is a primary objective for Bayern and will do everything to avoid being picked from them. Bringing Harry Kane will help them achieve that objective but I am not sure if it is enough for Champions League games. Salernitana is actually quite an easy opponent but sometimes this team is very annoying when defending and sometimes makes it difficult for their opponents to score goals. But as you said, if Lazio wins by a narrow score and they can maintain it then they will get 3 points again. But that is something that rarely happens and Lazio must be at least 2 goals ahead to secure victory.
Both Roma teams are performing mild this season with a lot of fluctuations from a period to another.. The problem for Lazio for example is the low efficiency of the attack line in terms of goals. This time they will face weak Salernitana, which is sitting in the end of the table, barely scoring and receiving many goals. They should win this game regardless where they are playing in. For Roma, they will face Udinese at home which is an advantage. Udinese is no longer the team that used to make top teams afraid from facing it. Roma should also secure 3 points here. |

At the moment and on the current situation about Union Berlin i would not say that they are the favourite on this game. Augsburg is not to underestimate and if Union Berlin keep playing as they have done that as the last weeks it possible they lose it. Union Berlin are in its weakest performance since years and I won't surprise to lose vs whatever team they face in 1.Bundesliga or even in a lower league.. Augsburg doesn't have a good defence line, yet it is still better than Union Berlin's one. Same goes for the attack line. I don't know why bookies are showing Union Berlin as the favorite to win except from the fact that they are playing home! |

Gavi is an effective player for Barcelona and Xavi was surely counting on this player for the rest of this season. I think Barcelona is even right to start blaming Luis de la Fuente for it because the game against Georgia was not an important game for them to let Gavi play in this match.
Regardless of that, Barcelona can have 30 days to hire another player to take Gavi's place in the team. They just need to prove Gavi is out for four months or more which is not hard and there won't be any financial issues for Barcelona about hiring the new player.
International competitions always come with injuries. Gavi wasn't lucky and like Eduardo Camavinga or Vinicius Junior, he got an even worse injury in the knee and will be absent for the remaining period. I think FIFA give money to the clubs in case of injuries happening while their players are playing with them internationally. Yet, for Barcelona, losing Gavi will make the team more unstable and they have to pick a close substitute. Ukrainians didn't won vs Italy in the past as far as I am aware of. Do you think this will change in today's game? Italy do need a win or a draw to pass. They won vs Ukraine in the first match past September and I think they will win again in Germany. Ukraine do have to win the match at any cost, they might seem good but they didn't score much goals comparing to Italy. North Macedonia will face England and this match has zero impact at the opposite of the other match in this group. |

But I have to say that the fun is in every game, not just knock-off stage. If anything, I think the group stage is more interesting as there is a chance to make one mistake for example, and still win, like Argentina did as they lost their first game to Saudi Arabia, and then continued to win the whole thing.
At the end of the day FIFA will probably maximize money making designs. We'll see how it goes.
FIFA made many changes to boost the reward they are getting. Even splitting the World Cup between many nations means developing better infrastructure for football, extend its supporters and with the more games you have, the more advertising you have and more sponsors you get which in the end turn to more money for them. I agree that basically every match in World Cup is watched by millions of people around the world and most of the time by people who aren't even the citizens of these countries. These are just rumors and far from reality. Saudi Arabia is not in Europe and they are plating in Asia. Also, teams like Al Nassr and Al Hilal or other Saudi teams are playing in the AFC Champions League. I think it's not even fair to have a team like Nassr in UEFA just because they spend lots of money on famous players. This way any team can be in UEFA by spending money.
There are also a lot of fans in Asia and other places, but Europe is the hotspot for football. Indeed, to get more attraction, teams have to play in a famous and competitive league like Champions League. Playing in UEFA is not related in being in Europe only or have at least a part of its territory on it, otherwise Turkey and Russia wouldn't play there since most of their territories are in Asia. The other example is Australia playing with Asian countries in order to qualify to World Cup although they are the biggest country in the continent that belong to them. Another counter example is Israel teams playing in all European competitions up to Champions League while they are totally in Asia. Saudi teams could have arrangement to play in European competitions if both parties agree but I think they shouldn't overestimate their power. I think developing a super league with the best teams from each continent to face each other will be a good idea. I know there is an actual version about that but I find it unattractive the way it is done right now. |

Talking about the competition for first place in the Bundesliga, it is clear that Leverkusen and Bayern Munich will continue to chase each other for the Bundesliga title and it all depends on Dortmund and Sturrgart if these two clubs can appear consistently again and can continue to add points. I am sure these two clubs will be part of the competition. a club that will prevent the top clubs from getting the Bundesliga title.
But I still believe that no matter how strong Bayern Munich's competitors are, in the end the first place will still be taken over by Bayern Munich at the end of the season like last season.
Xabi Alonso have proven himself worthy to manage Leverkusen for longterm and he's not going to give up until he achieved a major trophy for the club. Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel have become a regular spectacular instrument to manage the club, he's privileged to handle such an elite Germany club. He's presence is enough to enchanced the team's performance this season. Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich have grown to become rivals for the Bundesliga title this season. They're both competitive and constitute brilliant squad capable of winning all opposition this season. Whenever I see Tuchel in Bayern Munich getting good results think Bayern Munich was really right and they made a good decision when they got Nagelsmann fired from this team. Now we can see Nagelsmann started working in Germany and they still couldn't have any improvements because Germany lost the game against Turkey with a 3-2 result and I think If Nagelsmann was going to stay in Bayern Munich he couldn't have the same results. Also, this coach still doesn't have a good relationship with Neuer and now the international team of Neuer in the Germany national team is going to be damaged.  Although the game was just a friendly one but I find German players not that concentrated and Nagelsmann is quite new for the national games so the result shouldn't be given as obvious for some time. Turkiye in the other hand did well too beating them but no conclusions should be done. Germany will have another interesting match vs Austria which already got kicked from Champions League since they got only 4 points by the end of the last match. Once again there is a new about Modric and the Saudi teams.
I doubt he will leave during the winter season. Real Madrid has a lot of problems with long injuries now, he will probably stay until june. Lucz Modric loves Real Madrid a lot but he knows he can't stay there forever. Real Madrid respect you as a player until you turn 35 then you risk being off each year once your performance drops. No names or trophies count on Real Madrid decision. That's why I assume Modric will not keep staying in the benches the whole season or play once there is injuries. Until now Saudi Arabia count on his presence and I assume Al-Ittihad has reached Benzema to talk with Modric about Saudi Arabia. |

Odds are still way in favour of Manchester City although I think the game is close between these big teams. I doubt there will be more than 2 goals difference. I find both teams to score as logic. Seeing Liverpool's players playing good in international matches is a good thing for sure, yet it doesn't guarantee that they will be fit in Manchester City match. City's players remain better and in good shape in my opinion. |

Belgium national team has gotten that perfect form of before back again, with the team playing together as one without having that divided squad. I see them going far in this coming Euros, without being divided like they did in the world cup.
Lukaku is in form with him getting 4 goals is enough to say he's back to prove that he's one of the best, who knows Chelsea might be having a rethink about him.
If the Belgium team continue like this, the likes of England and Portugal would be aware of the Belgium team that they (England and Portugal) are not the only ones as favorite to get the title.
Belgium won since their opponent isn't that top after all. Azerbaijan lost 4 games before that match and received much more goals than they scored. It is true Belgium scored big which was interesting especially that Lukaku scoring 4 goals in 20 minutes!

Al-Ittihad announced their new coach after Nuno Espirito Santo to be Marcelo Gallardo (El Muneco) who was engaged for a year and a half with the team. El Muneco was training River Plate before and hopefully he will be as successful with his new club. Nuno was sacked since Al-Ittihad results weren't good lately and because of disputes between him and his players namely Benzema. I didn't expect France to score so many goals. Obviously after the red card the team lost control and turned into a goal scoring machine. France managed to score 7 goals in the first half and repeated this in the second half. Not even allowing the opponent to shoot, France managed to inflict a heavy 14-0 defeat on their opponent. In 7 matches, they scored 27 goals in total and conceded 1 goal, which was obviously an incredible statistic with this match. They reached an average of 4 goals per match after this match. Gibraltar, on the other hand, are currently running towards the record as the team that has conceded 35 goals without scoring in the group.
Gibraltar is a weak team playing vs one of the best teams in EURO and in the world, so it is normal to see such huge amount of goals scored in that match especially when they were playing with 10 players. About the red card, I don't think that it was responsible for many goals alone since Gibraltar already received 3 goals before the 18th minute when they were down by one player.. The defence line of Gibraltar was miserable, they failed to clear the ball in many occasions and was responsible for many goals especially the first and second goals directly.. These mistakes should not happen even in the second leagues.. |

Olivier Giroud has functioned better with supportive team mates, Some goals have seen him scoring this season has also come from headers and in balls from the winger's and defender's. Pulisic and Raphael Leoa have been supportive with crosses so he could nod In but it'll be better when a striker is also productive with his legs in. He's a good player and making use of just one foot has never been a limitation to his form. ( Though, I don't fancy these left footed strikers who are dull like Giroud )
Everybody wants to be part of the oil money from the Saudi Arabian League and if he wants to leave, then fine. He's made history with Ac Milan and they've both helped themselves winning the Seria A. It's a plus for Ac Milan if they can sell and make some money to invest in a much younger player.
According to Italian media, Milan didn't consider yet talks with Giroud to extend his contract due to the fact that he is getting old even though he is doing pretty good, and because they are trying to recruit Jonathan David from Lille although he isn't yet successful with his team this season. I don't know if Giroud should wait for AC Milan to start talking about the contract extension after months or even days before the summer transfer window or just follow the trend and secure his career in Saudi Pro League. |

Against Fiorentina it will definitely be very difficult for AC Milan because the AC Milan team has not won in its last 4 Serie A matches, this will be a burden in itself for AC Milan which is increasingly behind in points at the top of the standings.
I don't think AC Milan will continue getting negative results and especially at home. I know Fiorentina should not be underestimated and statistically both teams are quite close to each other but I think it is whether a draw or Milan victory. Maybe France wants to put their player on the top scorer list to replace Ronaldo or Lukaku  now Mbappe is in 3rd place with 9 goals including 3 goals in this match or 1 goal behind Ronaldo who collected 10 goals That was like a training match and not like a professional game between these two nations. France wanted to improve the statistics of the team and the players overall. Poor Gibraltar they got knocked out by 14 goals scored in 90 minutes.. Pour Gibraltar, they didn't win any game, didn't score any goal and received 35! That was very humiliating! In another match Wales failed to get 3 points they only drew against Armenia even though it was their opportunity to compete with Croatia in 2nd place, next they have to play against Turkey as group winners of course this is not an easy thing because Turkey has played well so far and has only lost once in 7 matches. Wales really need a miracle to qualify or they have to fight through other ways such as the best 3rd position.
Croatia got an important win vs Latvia while Wales got a draw vs Armenia letting Croatia in the second spot and almost qualifying once they secure a point or wait for Wales to lose vs Turkiye in the next round. They ruined their chances badly this season. |
