Potheads claim cannabis cures everything so color me skeptical. Not that people shouldn't be able to use it as they please.

If you're a company that has to keep 8 or 9 figures around in liquidity for keeping your business going, you've got to be considering your options. Volatility is still an issue but it has to be obvious to a lot of people that Bitcoin is cheap right now. Small companies with forward-looking management about to hit the big time, I think.

... or pennyless Can't be long before those are taken out of circulation. It's already overdue, really.

Well this is what Americans supposedly voted for.
To be fair, some of this started under Trump and the unmeasured reaction to the coof (which that was part of) hasn't helped. But yes, those who gave votes to Biden should have known this was on the cards. Not that anyone's vote really had anything to do with the outcome of this last election. I was precise in the words I used

I was a lot more concerned in the 80's when everyone knew we were six minutes from annihilation at any time due to the friendly SSBM Boomer off the coast of NYC. That was low grade stress.
This... eh. We also had to deal with 18% inflation at the time and we managed. The real suck was stagflation, when wages did nothing and prices just zipped on up.
But at least we had the music...

The plan has always been to inflate the debt away. But to do that in the "normal" way, you need to check your deficit, especially when there is growth, and only grow the debt in bad times. The US has stopped doing that, it was particularly glaring under Trump, crazy deficit despite an overheating economy (that was before COVID). I don't get why people "in the know", regardless of cryptos, are not feeling very uncomfortable with what's going on. It's clearly the case of the Fed, that why it's becoming hawkish, but if only the Fed is concerned, it won't be enough.
Feels to me like they know the train is coming off the rails soon and just want to loot as much as possible while there's looting to be had. The people behind all this will not be in the country when people come looking for them.
sure the house of cards smoke and mirror scamming platform shitcoin called ETH may well have good chances to outperform the dollar,
At this point, a 2x4 will outperform the dollar. Handily.

In some ways it's hard to say what they might do because they have painted themselves into a corner. Crashing the already limping enconomy in the name of stopping inflation? Or keep printing and shift into negative interest rates causing absolute explosions in risk assets and making a can of beans cost $4.
If you didn't know which way this was gonna go, you probably wouldn't be in Bitcoin.

Here's the thing. I am. And still I think it's better than his shitty fiat.

I'm going to be OK. I just ordered some ramen from wish.com.

Just thinking aloud here, god awful price. Really looks like someone is just trying to push the market down time and time again. In the mean time on-chain data is still pretty positive, how long can this divergence last I wonder. Keep thinking we should see a move in January at least, but the price isn't making much sense to me anymore.
There's a reason why the new poll is inactive. We don't want to make any rushed decisions, now, do we? Let's hope the poll wasn't being overly optimistic. It almost seems like an omen that none of the options are votable.

Sometimes it annoys me that Bitcoin is floating around 46,000 dollars but then I remember that Bitcoin is around 46,000 dollars.

I got a little bit of a chuckle out of your posting about the topic fillippone, because in some sense, I am not even sure if Dave Gorman, the comedian in that clip, is that concerned about the truth of the matter asserted, but instead harping on both how frequently the expression is used, and than also a bit of questioning about how well people appreciate what they are saying when they use the sentence.. and sure sometimes there could be some truth of the matter asserted within the expression... but also having had listened through the whole clip, we may well start to pay more attention when someone actually uses the expression.. because surely there might be some attempts at humor when using the expression, but it might not exactly be funny for the reasons that was originally intended.
Well, in the end, it's just a bit of observational humor and not really to be taken all that seriously. My posting of the video was not a critique of fillipone's post but just sharing the opportunity for a chuckle. Now, if I were to post a David Mitchell video, he's usually a bit more directly critical.

I swear, that video has fucked up my life today. I'm going through doors thinking "there is a more efficient way".
Because that guy's way IS more efficient. UG! All those wasted years!
It only works if there is space to slide into by the side of the door which is not the general case.

But now they are literally stealing from Edgar Rice Burroughs and that pisses me off. Star Wars always stole from a bunch of stuff so I wouldn't really hold that against them. What I do hold against them is that they're producing shit.

Yeah, inflation is gonna eat his billions. Should've bought bitcoins when he had a chance.
That wealth isn't in filthy fiat. He'll cash it out suspiciously just before a bubble burst and leave the plebs holding their bags.

Don't use Merriam Webster when playing against government people. They get to make up words as they go along.
