A bit over five hours to go on Bitcoin Friday madness: http://bitcoinfriday.com/
I tought we should have a thread where customers can report where and on what they spent coins. (Who knows maby a lazy journalist will use this to paraphrase Bitcoin Friday's effects)

Short update on random things:

Bitmit identity verification in process, should be done fairly soon.

I gave up (atleast for now) on setting up an OTC rating.. talk about unnecessarily complicated processes.

Website registered www.btctrinkets.com nothing there yet, just redirecting here.

I am particapating in bitcoin friday, stay tuned for discount announcements. Items will be available on discount both here (msg or e-mail orders) and trough bitmit.

My first outgoing shipment to my favorite pool op got delivered fairly mangled and I have since then refined my packing and am also looking in to purchasing casings of some sort for the items.. those will however push up my material and shipping costs, not by a lot, but I will most likeley need to check my pricing once/if I end up going that way. Should you recieve your order somehow broken please get in touch with me, I want nothing more than to set things right and get some positive feedback.

Im looking in to adding some more items in to my inventory, should some artisticly capable indifidual be out there interested in work and/or have unused designs please do get in touch with me. I propably wont be able to offer much in the way of payments, either a % of the items sale revenue for the first month or two.. or a straight up btc compensation in the single digits + the produced item(s) free of charge. For example atm Im lacking a bumper sticker design.

710  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: High Efficiency FPGA & ASIC Bitcoin Mining Devices https://BTCFPGA.com on: November 05, 2012, 06:30:37 PM
Does anyone plan on using BAMT to run these ASICs? whats the likelihood it will work out of the box like it does with GPU and most FPGAs?
At current I'd guesstimate 0%, but it is propably possible to hack something together. We've been waiting for a fpga compatible bamt for a while now, I suppose it could be further along the way when it comes to asic compatability.

Also, I have a couple technical questions.
1. Will each die have an onboard temperature diode, and if not how will on-die temperature be read?
2. Will the mining software have control of the frequency similarly to the MMQ?
3. Will the POL convertor on the board be adjustable, or will it have a fixed voltage output?
4. Is the board far enough along that you can release details on the mounting holes and clearances for the heatsinks so those of us interested in watercooling can start shopping?
Why would one want watercooling on a device with this low thermal load, what are the benefits appart from longer item "life" ?
...I must be missing something here.

718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The best way to Hoard coins on: October 30, 2012, 05:16:58 PM
I very much agree with the op, hence Im only holding on to a small precentage of the coins I recieve. My thinking is that this way the coins I hold on will be worth more in the unforseeable future. In oppose to if we all hoard every bitcent we get, bitcoin fails.
719  Economy / Goods / Re: btc trinkets: bitcoin tiepins, cufflinks and lapel pins. Available on Bitmit. on: October 30, 2012, 04:02:04 AM

A bitcoin emblem of some sort hanging from my car's rearview mirror would be neat, too.  It would probably have to be metal like your other trinkets, but a fluffy one would sure look sweet. Smiley

Bumper stickers, perhaps?  This is probably outside your manufacturer's scope, though.

Nice ideas both, atm I do not have a supplier for either, but I'll put them on my list. Personally I've for long wanted a sticker "This sticker adds 5Mh/s" to slap on my rigs. I'd love nothing more than this enterprize getting off and subsidizing or entireley replacing my day job. But in the end that and how many more items I can and will add is all up yo you my dear customers.

Seems like a fair and objective study when you take in to account the likeley backround of the people who put this together. Im loving it.
