I tried to send you a PM but will you accept $100 + shipping to Zip 25560 for your mini?  I was looking for a PinIdea DU-1 to add to my collection but a Baikal mini would work as well.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sure, why not.
Sorry about not getting back to you sooner. Went to change my PM settings twice and both times got a phone call and had to go deal with a work issue.
I PM'd you.

Explorer is humming along.

Do you think we need a pool? Diff is so low that solo mining seems to be good for now.

And I really have no idea how to setup a pool  Grin

Swapped out the firewall for a new one.
Still getting very sluggish performance for the CPU / RAM power behind this.
Going to have to dig a bit more when I have time. There might be outages.

There are many dead coins.  Roll Eyes

http://deadcoins.com/
Dead coins are not that big a deal.
Coins die, projects fail.
It's the scams that are the issue.

Just reading some of the crap that is in the announcements for altcoins / tokens is painful.
And people believe it. And put money into it.

And then loose it.

Explorer sync finished.
All looks good.
I have to setup the cron job for the continued sync, but that's for tomorrow.

Speed has not improved much, have to check the firewall make sure there is no issue there, also a tomorrow job :-)

does it make sense to keep meddling with old code or should it be ported to a better algo / erc20 token?
ERC20 NO!!!!!
Changing algo, might, just might, be worthy of a discussion. But it still should be an easily to mine for people.
Just my opinion.

I finally got an explorer up.
Sort of.
http://explorer.noodlyappendagecoin.net/
Once it finishes syncing I have to make some other changes to it, but it is up.
I want to make sure it syncs with no issues before going ahead and doing other work to it.

It's stupid slow at the moment because I did not put enough CPU cores on it. Once it finises I'll put more power behind it.

So, according to the time / date in the upper right of the Announcements (Altcoins) page it's 9:48:02

On the 1st page the top of hte page post has a last post time of  9:48:00
The oldest on the bottom is 09:43:31
So posts are scrolling off the page in less then 5 minutes. Even if you have the best project out there. Getting past all the "noise" is going to be almost impossible.

I would also take a pre-configured VHD / VHDX that I can just mount. No configuration changes necessary (other then me setting the IP here) once I get it if it makes someones life easier.

Thanks,
Dave

Still for sale.

7053  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer V9 4TH on: April 03, 2018, 09:58:02 PM
Just as an FYI if you set the speed too low you might have a board drop out.
I was testing to see how far I could drop it. And to see if I could get the noise down to a tolerable level to keep one in my office for testing. Below 412 one of the board would go all xxxxxx after a little while.
Above that it's fine.
So there might be a bottom limit on some of these.

7056  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: March 31, 2018, 03:27:22 PM
I know I asked a few pages back in the thread, but does anyone have and performance numbers for the GTX 1050 or 1050Ti?

I can pick one up for a good price, but I can't return it if I do. They are mostly useless for mining now so I would dedicate it to this. But, if it does not have the speed I'll stick with the AMD that I have now.

Thanks,
Dave

Still on my desk mining away.
You know you want it. Yes you, over there. You want it.
OK, maybe not.
If you do want it PM me.

Might not be around much this weekend so PM me if you want them.

7059  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Vividtoken Signature Campaign - Hero/Legendary BTC/Token Payouts! on: March 31, 2018, 12:21:55 PM
No wonder everyone wants to rank up so badly. Because of campaigns like these. All the elites and legends are carrying Vividtoken signature right now. Any possibility of lowering the level down to senior members with a lower pay rate?  Roll Eyes

Yeah, all 20 of us elites & legends.
You did read the 1st post right? There were only 20 spots open.
Don't know the number of people with those rankings but I think it's more then that.

Also, it's Good Friday / Easter / Passover weekend for the people who follow those religions.
Thursday was a holiday in Jainism so a few million people who follow that religion were not around.

So those of us who are left working might not have put sending Hhampuz money on the top of his (or her) list of things to do on Friday.
*I* am going to get my ass removed Monday morning because, we were so short staffed Friday, I forgot to call a client back. I already know how that conversation is going to go. And the word "calm" is not going to be part of it.

7060  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ANN] OPENDIME v3 – Now *Genuine Verified* Bitcoin Credit Stick (in stock!) on: March 31, 2018, 02:50:33 AM
I have an opendime that is not seen by any PC at all, (as in the USB port does not even notice that it's there).
I'm assuming the answer is no but, is there is a way to recover the funds?
Thanks,
Dave
