7141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zion Williams sneaker blow out and the lines during the game Duke vs North Car on: February 22, 2019, 04:20:36 PM
Well, accidents happened, we couldn't say that it's the shoes fault.

Maybe his feet was really in a bad position and that shoes can't really the weight. Remember that Zion is a big guys but very athletic and it's too bad to see him got injured as he is been touted as the number one in the next NBA draft. But it was just accident and no one has to blame.
7142  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm so happy to receive a reward on: February 22, 2019, 04:11:27 PM
Then good for you. However, what is the value of this token? Yes, I understand that it is free but you need to understand the airdrop today is not the same as in 2017 wherein most of them have a good value.

Anyways, it's a good experience to received it for free. But as you go along the way and mature you will understand better that majority of them are going to be worthless.
7143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best new way to pay with Bitcoin on: February 22, 2019, 04:02:34 PM
I'm one of those who's very skeptics when the rumours came out, but since Samsung confirms it, then this is no longer a rumour.

However, I still have my doubts how secure the crypto wallets are going to be. There could be layer of security, but my concern is that our smart phone most of the time are connected, so vector attack is almost present every time, just saying.
7144  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price increase on: February 22, 2019, 03:42:04 PM
This week Bitcoin has begun to show a good increase and I think many people are happy and happy with the current increase,
will the price be as soon as possible to recover at $ 20,000?
as of now we have no idea if there's a possibility that it can surge back to the current ATH.  since the movement is still weak and the strength isn't fully recovered . Maybe this is not the right time to make another speculation for it.  Which is let wait for morw results and just be thankful that its still showing a sign of progress.

Of course there's always that possibility, but then again, it won't happened like overnight. It will take us a lot of time before we can finally get to $20k price.

But at least we're very happy to see the price reaching $4k, it's a good sign of progress that the market might not go down again as others have predicted, it's going to be a wait and see attitude again for everyone and will just join if the market hits around $5k-$6k again.
7145  Other / Off-topic / Re: mouse hurts hand on: February 22, 2019, 03:26:16 PM
I've been using the computer mouse a lot these days. It's starting to hurt my hand? or make it sore. It is not a cordless one.

What can we do to relieve the pressure, from computer mousesHuhHuh  Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink Wink

Buy a new one and your problem is solved.

Or maybe it was not your mouse but the position of your table or your hand itself.

I never experienced anything related to my keyboard mouse, except that they start to function as normal, I just throw them away and buy a new one.
7146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The FBI is looking for victims of Bitconnect scam on: February 22, 2019, 03:00:17 PM
I didn't check the link but why now?

The scam stunt has been pulled eons ago and why does the FBI will involved themselves just right now? It doesn't makes sense, unless this is a show of force on their end and sending a signal that scam projects are being hunted and put to justice and victims will be compensated.
I think because one of Bitconnect's promoters has been arrested and put behind bars already on the time this article was posted so the issue has been resurrected and not to deny that there are indeed a lot of investors who've lost huge amount of money in this scam.

But isn't it he was arrested since last year already?

Anyways, it's good to hear that finally FBI has taking the lead and do hope that every ounce of those who have been scam should be paid coming from the scammer/s themselves.

And yes, many have called this a scam from the beginning, but I don't get why people still invested on them and then bitch around when they all lost their money. Good thing though is that there might be a chance for them to get their money back and do hope that they won't be a victim again.
7147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My ERC20 Assets Rise Eventually on: February 22, 2019, 02:55:13 PM
It was a display error, I often met it, at first I felt very surprised and I entered the exchange to check  but the value of that coin didn't increase, I don't understand why?

But I do hope that you understand how volatile this market is?

So there will be a time that the price will keep on jumping up and down because maybe of the continues buy and sell or trade that is going on. So you have to continue monitor your wallet and of course the tokens you have.

Right now though, it looks like almost all coins have been pumping because bitcoin is making a good run to $4k. It's good thing to see our portfolio grow, and we do hope this is the start of a bull run again.
7148  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments? on: February 22, 2019, 02:50:03 PM
I'm really at lost with this theory, I mean if it has been created by governments, I'm sure it will be exposed by now isn't it?

We universally accepted that it was Satoshi who created it, he/she/they even collaborated this forum and their present and footprints is all over the place. So I will maintain that believed that it was indeed Satoshi and not those ABC's authorities or governments who created this beautiful technology.
7149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk calls crypto “quite energy intensive” on: February 22, 2019, 07:45:05 AM
Here is a good read for everyone:

https://phys.org/news/2018-08-energy-bitcoin.html

Counting consumption

Unlocking a bitcoin requires an intense amount of computational power. Think of bitcoin as sort of a hidden currency code, where its value is derived by solving a programmable puzzle. Getting through this puzzle requires computer brainpower.

Electricity is 90 percent of the cost to mine bitcoin. As such, bitcoin mining uses an exorbitant amount of power: somewhere between an estimated 30 terrawatt hours alone in 2017 alone. That's as much electricity as it takes to power the entire nation of Ireland in one year.

Indeed, this is a lot, but not exorbitant. Banking consumes an estimated 100 terrawatts of power annually. If bitcoin technology were to mature by more than 100 times its current market size, it would still equal only 2 percent of all energy consumption.

So it pretty much says everything, banking consumes more energy, but why we haven't heard anyone attacking it? And pretty much the mining in China is being set up and coal is being used.
7150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on to your hats: We’re moving up yet another Bitcoin flagpole on: February 22, 2019, 07:36:39 AM
You fell for the bull-trap - again!

JPM has told you what price he's going to manipulate the market to: $2400. Since he has access to 300 times the capital of all crypto together, I'm pretty sure he's right on his ability to do whatever he wants.

What do you mean?

What has JP Morgan has to do with the current spike? Are you talking about them joining crypto and having their own coin?

But, it's not a crypto per se and won't be available to the public as it will be for their own used only. So I don't know how JPMorgan again was inserted in this discussion. And what bull-trap again?

7152  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bounty profit? on: February 21, 2019, 06:34:25 PM
Depends on what bounty campaign you join because there's a lot of projects that turns out to be a scam. Also are you willing to put lots of efforts after you join a campaign. I saw other members join and then didn't do anything in the first couple of week and then complain later that they didn't earn that much.

So don't look at bounty campaign as a regular job as well, it's better if you concentrate on having a regular 8-5 job and then work as bounty hunter as a sideline.
7153  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTI Report: A Majority of the Cryptocurrency Exchanges Fake the Trading Volumes on: February 21, 2019, 06:29:17 PM
How the hell this "Blockchain Transparency Institute" managed to get all that data?Is this data even real?
Are they spying on crypto exchanges? How are they spying? What tools are they using to analyze transacitons and distinquish fake from real trading volume.Do they have acess to the scripts and API of all crypto exchanges?

If you will read the report itself from their website:

During this time, we have spent countless hours watching order books, analyzing volume data points, and speaking with market makers, high frequency traders, and trade surveillance consultants. We have collected an enormous amount of data and we now feel confident to begin releasing these figures.

So it's a combination of investigative work and surveillance on their end. It's a very tedious job, but the output is something that we can really ponder. Specially for those exchanges that we have suspected to be doing wash trading, but we don't have the evidence.
7154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: February 21, 2019, 06:15:48 PM
Very nice, looks like everyone enjoy the All-Star weekend and it seems @stadus is back with his winning tips.

I also agree that Houston will win this game, because as of lately, they having a good chemistry while Lakers was a complete disaster, specially when the rumors of a Anthony Davis trade. Anyways, it took a lot of mental damage specially those Lakers name who pop up during the the drama. But I don't think they have the capacity to stop Harden and Houston.
7155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google keyboard enables Bitcoin symbol on iOS on: February 21, 2019, 06:10:38 PM
I'm sure if will appear to Android as Samsung recently said that the S10 will have a crypto wallet.  Grin

I don't know, but it looks like Apple might be cooking something new to rival Samsung latest release, so it's going to be exciting to see this coming September (usually Apple release new product around this date). Maybe we can see them integrating crypto or wallet support.
7156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I stop using some exchanges on: February 21, 2019, 06:04:23 PM
And the funny thing is, exchanges are really being born, just go around and visit Project section. I'm sure you will find one or two projects about exchanges. I don't know what's the craze about, but it looks like everyone is really going all-in by creating their own exchanges.

But as you guys have said, it's hard to trust new exchanges, so we must really investigate and not just blindly trust those new exchanges coming up, its better to stick to the old and traditional one, at least we know that they won't scam us or something.
7157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Run!!! on: February 21, 2019, 06:50:09 AM
After long bearish more than 1 years crypto market should be change to bull run soon.  And in my personal opinion we are already close with bull market because some altcoin already going up to 100% , and we have to wait price action of Bitcoin and if the price possible  to reach 100% too so can become trigger for bull market.  Decision of Bitcoin ETF in 45 days and big possibility its will be approved by SEC so this also can become trigger for bull market .

We still have to look at how the current price moves up to the end of the month.

So far the price reaches $4K already, but it seems that it cannot sustained it. Bull run technically happens when the price keeps on increasing like every day, but it this case the price can't get to the $4K hump.

45 days is not a lot of time, we won't even noticed. So if there's a possibility of a approval then for sure that is the needed catalyst, but for now, it looks like FOMO to me, but its good thing though, everyone wanted to make money in anticipation of a approval so let's see.
7158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk calls cryptocurrency 'brilliant' while predicting end of paper money.. on: February 21, 2019, 06:44:32 AM
Great to see Elon Musk acknowledge the bitcoin. I don't know why some billionaires hate bitcoin, and some like it, I thought all tech savvy will like bitcoin, but Bill Gates are some of them who decided to hate it. But I think people will change their perception about Bitcoin overtime, they might hate it sometime ago and changed their mind later.

Well you just have to understand where they're coming from. Bill Gates loves technology, but I think he find something in bitcoin that might affect his business that's why he doesn't appreciate it.

Of course there's the possibility that most haters will make a U-turn in the future, specially if they really understand that bitcoin doesn't affect the financial world negatively and it won't disrupt some old traditional system.
7159  Economy / Economics / Re: LESSONS FROM CRYPTO MARKET on: February 21, 2019, 06:36:19 AM
After a year, a lot of lessons that we did learn. There are 2 precious things that I think I should remember:

+ Fear
+ Greed

I learned that from my teacher, he said when you buy Bitcoin at 10k, it's then $12k your greed rises inside you and you don't want to take profit and expect more. Then, the downtrend is coming, BTC goes down to $8k, you'll be scared to cut loss, and what'll happen, you lose more while BTC drops to $4k.

So, we need to set up your expected profit point as well as the stoploss point.

How about you, what is your lesson?
One way of avoiding greed is to make a reasonable profit for you and after that money exceeds your expectations then the extra money you earn is the one you are trying to gain profit as a second batch capital. Losing is a way of life and winning is too. Accept the outcome of your work whether it is good or bad. Don't focus on earning money, instead focus on earning knowledge because it cannot be taken from you hehe. Have a responsible way of thinking and avoid greed.

Have a entry and a good exit plan, that's it, you don't need to make it complicated.

But the problem is that even if traders have a good exit plan, most of the time, they wanted more. Lol.

But when they lost, they blame everyone. Good thing though is that they could have learn a valuable lessons if they have greed in their system. There's nothing wrong in booking your profits according to your exit plan and then live another day to trade, just saying.
7160  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin finally crossed $4000 on: February 21, 2019, 06:08:07 AM
Finally we are near to our goal which is to increased again the market keep motivating people to invest again to the market or rise the value again of the bitcoin and to achieve $4000. Only 50 dollars plus are needed to reach the value of the bitcoin at the $4000. Im expecting to increase the value at $4000 this day or next few days.

Today price already hit the 4K mark and came back slightly as per worldcoinindex website. Now it is important to maintain this price above 4K for some time and this can happen if no bad news comes out about cryptos. May some people start booking partial profits and if that happens then we can see price trading below 4K for some more time.
I'm really waiting for the price of bitcoin to reach $ 4000. well, for now there may be some exchanger that has reached that price, but it's not stable yet. maybe within a few days, the price of bitcoin can be more than $ 4000, and stable. keep watching.

I take a quick glance at coinmarketcap, and now it's official that the price touches $4K, Woot!!!

Yes, it might not be the stable $4K that we all have been wanted to see, so let's give like a couple of days. It might sustain its run to $4200 which is a good indication that the bull run might actually starting this month, but remain calm, too early to celebrate as exchanges right now are very busy and I still see a lot of traders selling and booking profits as well. But definitely, the market comes alive again.
