721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Links to worthless posts INDICATOR WP ........................... on: January 02, 2016, 09:52:00 PM
By the powers given to me by the Coin Magis of the Ages I do now decree a system of indicators for useless posting from community members who don't get it.
Mods shouldn't need to move this list since it might not be too long nor may anyone care.
Rule, rules, rules, we MUST have RULES!

Rules Proposal to be accepted by community:

1. Does not understand crypto
2. Does not understand open-source
3. Does not understand decentralization
4. Does not understand nodes
5. Does not understand trading
6. Spams dead threads and topics that no one cares about to boost post count for sig campaign
7. Posts LOTS of big red text
8. Does not understand forum posting

Oh sure I do! But I dont understand:

Scam, virus, Shitcoin, Clonecoins, Etc.....    Lol....

Even if it's a misquote, this part is completely true:

... You offer an extremely narrow perspective ...

These posts about "triggers" and "approval" and whatever other nonsense show your complete lack of understanding about most things going on in crypto.

Fortunately most people are smart enough to see what this is really about: Sig spamming as a "service" to the community. A way to boost your activity by posting in necro threads and intruding in places where there is no need.

"Forbidden date to launch coins"

ROTFL to your RIP

"Remember: Forbbiden date to launch coins"     ----------> 24/25 31/01   plus some others requesting by the community   Wink

Edit:Wow much coins, Such scam!  Cheesy This guy  @Braino must be a genius to get profit considering his sig and  their shown emotional state. Smiley

CIONZ The First altcoin in 2016 is now declared The First Dead coin in 2016 due to Forbidden date to launch coins  and Dev with not very good rate.

Because is a self-moderated topic I quoted on here:

Before It turns into another gorilla or another thing is time of say:

The first RIP of 2016

COINS LAUNCHED IN/AFTER THAN JANUARY 1ST 2016.
Note: Red color will be synonym of died coin
Note: Brown color  will be synonym of waiting for an answer.

i think we can all agree that a coin without a single exchange doesn't have a lot of possibilities to survive for at least one year

Not that it matters but I disagree. You offer an extremely narrow perspective which holds everyone hostage to an idiosyncratic definition of “survive”.

Cheers

Graham

Graham the problem is that without an exchange people can't decide a real price for a coin, which leaves room for speculation to it's limits, anyway i still think that maybe i'm wrong with the fact that a coin without an exchange can survive more then one year but is only because until now i didn't saw a valid example of a coin that is active without an exchange and is on that status from over one year, as soon i will see such a coin i will change my mind

@MbccompanyX: The same, This statement wasn`t done for me, some people might be confused.

anyway i'm surprised that in the case of heavycoin you decided to make a dedicated thread (even if like this one the only person that was posting most of the time was you, no messages were removed from that thread right?) even if the fact that is listed on cryptsy now in those days means that there is a risk that the coin will lose most of his coin with even the danger of losing the whole network (i don't know well the details but i think we can all agree that a coin without a single exchange doesn't have a lot of possibilities to survive for at least one year)

Thanks.

I just wanted to point that who made that statement was not me , it was @MbccompanyX, Some people might be confused.

Nope, I did that  as a self-moderated topic because to complete the approach before receiving a quote but it was of little help as you can see:  Cheesy

The coin is dead since 20 months ago because dev left this, Was a IPO, The community have seen it a lot of times, I could easily do a shot with the Dead coin Trigger to this however I decided do a discuss thread instead of. We will see.
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open thread only to discuss some things before declaring dead to Heavycoin(HVC). on: January 02, 2016, 02:56:48 PM
i want buy HVC

Your Activity is  0.  Grin  Is  trying of do marketing somebody?

Good luck, But very close to be declared dead.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open thread only to discuss some things before declaring dead to Heavycoin(HVC). on: January 02, 2016, 02:55:37 PM
1. has nodes
2. connected to XRP market  <<< value there as XRP sidechain
3. mature 'older' coin, early 2014 launch
4. antiASIC anyone can mine
5. rock bottom priced
6. listed on Cryptsy (for what's that worth?)

all depends on last point ... HVC maybe dies if bigVern absconds

plus added value
listed on Coinmarketcap and Cryptsy
http://heavyco.in/  (nice open source repo) ... this is a nice touch
and several pools are open

Thank you, However  the reality looks very different, And look be the same to many anothers coins:

733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open thread only to discuss some things before declaring dead to Heavycoin(HVC). on: January 02, 2016, 03:30:54 AM
@asdf55: After that you finish reading all above I must ask you if you agree that this coin be declared dead, And give to it coin a  scam classification because "dev" never did a statement anymore plus prices  has been in the floor for an extended period of 20 large months, even despite the efforts of its legitims active members like you.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open thread only to discuss some things before declaring dead to Heavycoin(HVC). on: January 02, 2016, 03:21:57 AM
Well I can clarify some things as I understand them, don't have to be true, just my opinion.

First, you quoted member gpools. As I remember he was first large holder of hvc, botnet or large miner I dont recall. He was telling everyone to hold and than one day just said he is out, finished his dumping of ~50% of total suply.

Original dev keccak never stated he left developmet of coin, he just stop posting. Instead of him there was member mumbly, who was appointed for communications, promotions etc, from what I understand he was in some kind of communication with devs via messenger.

Xocel member was never presented as coin dev, he created blockchain explorer and got bounty for it, who btw was very shortly online(explorer), my message you quoted was congratulation for bringing explorer up again.

So I collected all info there is about coin and posted it in quoted message. Why am I bagholding it? Don't have a clear answer, it's not a big bag since it varies to max 0.xx % of supply. There was nice story behind this coin, new features and cool algo etc but like all similar altcoins no real world usage.

If you have more questions, post it I will try to answer as soon as I can.

edit. About my signature for hvc faucet, explorer etc, I pm-ed member Grinz who provides faucets and explorers for coins to create it for hvc, then I send some coins for faucet when he put it up. Since he did it for free, I think, as a way to say thanks I can put link to his site in my sig.

Thanks for the clear and understandable answer it helps us -the community- understand a little more about the status of this coin and how crypto is moving, So considering seen so far on it:

1.-Original dev keccak never stated he left the development of coin however He Should to continue making statements about the coin because it was a IPO and however he didn´t, As you say  he just stop posting.

2.-Now, I need give an answer to those  3 Assumptions:
1-is  since Apr-2014 Dead? Yes, at least from the point of view of Dead coin thread.
2- Some devs work to some entities, But was a case of its?
The suddenness of which appeared Xocel, Only 3 days after last answer of  Original dev keccak and considering it on another coin:

3- Was a scam it? If  we consider the abrupt drop in price after the IPO after two months, and the "Original Dev" just stop posting,  somebody could think that: Yes it was a scam.

Now comes the interesting part, Most peoples think or believe that whoever is behind of the coins on almost of cases are only "alone devs" but this is impossible to believe now, It is understood that an average or normal user remains supporting any coin even considering that "dev" left the coin this explains why after a IPO and after the outlet of "dev"  the coin keep alive, If besides to this is added newbies, Holders trying of minimize loss, Traders, Miners, Anothers services, etc.. This being the trend has been for a long time.

Great and hard work you did here. Congratulations.
I wonder where will you put Heavycoin considering your indicators.
Also it would be readable if you put your lists in some kind of table with sort option on coin name and creation date, but I don't know if forum options allow that.

it doesn't seems that the forum allows to make advanced tables but allow only to make something simple, anyway he could at least reorganize the block one that instead of putting them as they were found dead all the coins are in alphabetical order

@MbccompanyX        -->Done, Please check new ABC Sorted.

anyway did you considered to use a table instead of doing a list? so you can change the color of the death date in red and keep the reason in black because only the name of the coin redirect to the thread
OK, I will consider these aesthetics with the functionality of the thread and some improvements I'll let you know.

Done!, Please remember that the listed date is the  creation/announcement date, It is not the death date.

Hey guys,

HeavyChain ran into an issue last night and crashed. A bug resulting in a segfault (under certain normally rare conditions) snuck through testing of the new code. I'm working on this now and will have things back up as soon as possible.

Great work xocel, it's updating blocks again. Also I think timestamp of blocks is 1 month early, can you check it?
