721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is the best gambling site for investments? on: April 26, 2017, 03:05:56 AM
if you want a more personal experience than that topic, i suggest 2 options: crypto-games and yolodice.
the first one, crypto-games because it has been performing very well and giving a decent amount of profit for a long time. so i think it is safer to say it is a sure return, at least for now.
and Yolodice because they have been growing at a good speed and their investment system gives a lot of good information to the investors who want it and that gives some level of transparency that i like.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex- bank blocked all their deposits on: April 26, 2017, 03:00:47 AM
..snip..
What do you mean? That all that is going on with Bitfinex is completely like what went on with MtGox? I believe not yet. There was a massive buying that catapulted the price of Bitcoin from a few hundred to over $1000. I hope we see it happen again. Cheesy

if you are talking about the 2013 gox price then it was "catapulted" from less than $200 to above $1100 in nearly 2 months.
and no one likes that to happen again unless you are a fiat fan and want to take your fiat out of bitcoin and give up on bitcoin.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoin trading bots are profitable? on: April 23, 2017, 05:22:19 AM
Of course yes altcoins trading bots are profitable on trading activity but the problem there are many bots trading out there
you must try the bots one by one to getting the bots that suitable with your self,
and it will takes your time, capital to testing it also there are not people who guarantee the bots will gives constant profit for you
if you want try the bots make sure use small capital because it is huge risk losing bitcoin.

have you actually done this or something similar that you are suggesting it here?
because to me this doesn't sound like a good plan.
using a bot can be both a good thing and a bad one. for someone who is new to trading then they wouldn't even know what they want in a bot. and if you are experienced enough you know what features you want and then seek a bot that has those features. so there won't be a need to test all of them.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to sell dicing strategy? on: April 23, 2017, 05:14:24 AM
here is a question for everyone to think about:

if there is a strategy that is working and can turn ~0.047 BTC into ~0.256 BTC which means a 0.209 BTC or 444% profit, do you think he needs to sell that strategy to make money?
725  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation on the price of BTC if Bitfinex does a Gox on: April 23, 2017, 05:02:59 AM
I don't use Bitfinex, but if people can't take their money or coins out, this sounds like what happened at Cryptsy. I never recovered my coins from there. I hope it's only temporary and they fix the problem.

it has always been money and NOT cryptocurrencies.
things are different with bitfinex and it is nothing like Cryptsy. Cryptsy was a filthy scam that blocked everything and ran away.

and that is one of the reasons why many believe it is solvent. it is because of the "bank" that nobody can move fiat in or out of the exchange. but since cryptocurrencies are decentralized, nobody can block them and bitfinex has been paying the customers from their cold storage and they are withdrawaing.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jihan blocks segwit on LTC: price crashes on: April 23, 2017, 04:57:00 AM
Did you guys check the news? Jihan is now supporting segwit, the signaling is going on as we speak, or they signaling 1 block at least, I suspect they are setting things up and will start signaling it continuously until it locks in, price could surge a lot. Bought a bit myself, don't want to miss that.

Cobble has done a fantastic diplomatic job getting everyone on the table and reaching an agreement. Unfortunately, this seems unlikely with Bitcoin (or maybe fortunately, since I wouldn't like other than segwit activated without no other compromises)

What's clear to me is, LTC will benefit greatly price wise!

Possible theory. Ji buys LTC low. Ji supports seggy. LTC price soars. Ji sell LTC. Ji withdraws support for seggy. LTC price collapse.

Repeat and rinse all year.
I don’t see why he could not do that, while this may be different when done in crypto , this is similar to what happens with stocks, someone with insider information, like the CEO can do everything in his power to pump the stock and then sell.

there is certainly a lot more things that are going on behind the scenese that we may never find out unless someone from that behind the scenese goes rogue and shares the secret plans with us. maybe in a couple of years though.
but until that day we are only left with speculation. and this one seems plausiable enough to be true since they changed their minds so fast!
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how can we make gambling as an accepted recreational activity like sports game? on: April 22, 2017, 02:48:32 AM
well it is not, and no matter how many people try too hard to come up with a new deffinition or description of gambling, the reality of it will never change. it will always stay as the same as before, a destructive but very thrilling activity.
this doesn't mean you can't control anything or even can't have fun. you can but gambling will always remain destructive.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaire Mike Novogratz says he has 10% of his money in Bitcoin and Ether on: April 22, 2017, 02:39:53 AM
there is no doubt that there are so many rich people (millionaires or more) are supporting ethereum, we have all seen the pumps and how they throw their money in, when the dumping time comes. you can't hide these things.

but bitcoin, i don't think so. because a billionaire is looking for a big profit and the pump of ethereum that they can control gives them that that is the whole reason of controlling 75 million coins yourself!!! but with bitcoin they will just be a moderate size whale because of the distribution of bitcoin.
729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Check out how forum down time effected BTC price! on: April 22, 2017, 02:31:29 AM
forum wasn't really down, it was a weird DOS attack that we can see theymost already fixed. i read that people could access bitcointalk through VPN and TOR!

funny thing is, nothing about price has changed it is still bitfinex leading the wave and bitstamp dumping the wave killing our buzz.
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is YoBit.net provably fair ? on: April 21, 2017, 02:54:52 AM
i think a much better question would be "why would anyone want to play dice on Yobit"!
if you have ever played a dice game on any of the top sites like bitsler or crypto-games or even on one of the newer sites like YoloDice then you can see what i mean. yobit doesn't even have a half decent design, there is no auto bet, there is no changing of multiplier there are no hotkeys and there are alot of things missing.
so the question "why would anyone choose Yobit over other better places" and that goes for the exchange and trading part too!
731  Economy / Economics / Re: Microchip implant for Bitcoin Payments in Malls will you agree ? on: April 21, 2017, 02:49:34 AM
there is a similar topic about it in the main board called bitcoin implants and it is basically the same argument. and i have always found it a bit weird to be honest, to have something in your body no matter how small or harmless to your inside body environment it is. and not just because of that but also because you would be carrying funds inside of it!
it is way to sceince fictiony for me Smiley
732  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New Bitfinex Statement (April 20, 2017) on: April 21, 2017, 02:41:37 AM
so just curious.

What is stopping someone from sending BTC to finex

Exchanging for USD then USD into litecoin

Then litecoin out and back into BTC and making profit on arb

Is this do-able?
OK. How about you want Fiat instead of BTC? One wants to deposit Fiat, exchanges it with BTC, makes a nice profit, and wants to withdraw in Fiat again. What should he do in a situation like that? And even if he applied your suggestion, high fees would kill some of his profits.

you can NOT deposit NOR withdraw fiat from bitfinex, it is the bank that is making delays and it goes both ways, in and out.
and for his suggestion we have to check LTC price and surely enough it is worth $11.54 on bitfinex which means others have done it and pushed the price of it up.
p.s. LTC is 10.87 on btc-e
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't North Korea open up a bitcoin exchange? on: April 21, 2017, 02:32:08 AM
how do you know they don't?!
because if they do, that would be internal exchange as in being inside their own country only and not giving anything out. so we may never know. and besides bitcoin is more like a "people money" not government and they can gain bitcoin whenever they want without anyone ever knowing.
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: a new strategy for dice (all or nothing or double or nothing!) on: April 19, 2017, 06:40:14 AM
Instead of loosing easy by easy it is much better to place few big bets and get whatever you want to do. I was doing sometimes ago aggressive gambling by doing believe in all in or go home. If the purpose of gambling is more fun and less to make money then careful gambling is always suitable.
To win is of course better, but if you lose a large amount of money then what? In the game it is not possible to always win. I play on the bonuses and I did not get a lot of winning. I don't care the amount important to me percentage and strategy. While I'm far from the truth.
gambling with dice is unforgiving and very difficult to play ,even if you use strategy its still difficult to walk away with a profit from the game.

I think dice games should be played exclusively for fun and not profit such that any losses wont hate you at all.

I think the other way around.  Dice is easy to play but hard to master.  I do think that winnings or losing in dice depends on our strategy.  If we push and play long in dice without having a plan to stop, definitely we will lose everything specially applying the strategy given by OP.  The secret in winning  in dice is to know when to quit.  Do not let greed consume us, and rather stop when we have a decent winnings.  Aiming for more will risk our  winnings even our bankroll.   There are lots of story that signifies playing gambling with greed will make us lost everything.

there is nothing to master in dice!
you just roll the dice and hope for the best while doing all of it at a disadvantage called house edge.
you can't really do anything about it to win. there are strategies out there but all of them are bad, each worse than the other again because of this house edge. the only thing that can give you profit is martingale because each bet is a guarantee of winning all of the loss back but it is the worst strategy since your losign amount grows so fast and your bankroll will never be able to handle it no matter how big it is.

this is why the best strategy in dice is random betting. you make one bet and if you win you make a big profit and if you lose you lost your money and get out.
735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What u think will happen if Amazon would accept BTC? on: April 19, 2017, 06:33:46 AM
Amazon accepting bitcoin is a great thing, but only for those of us who already know bitcoin and have bitcoin in our wallets to spend.

for other people who don't have any bitcoin it would just be additional fees. because if you don't already have it you have to buy it. that means depositing fiat to an exchange or transferring money to someone who sells bitcoin which means 1 fiat transfer fee and then buy bitcoin at a bit higer price depending on which method you choose and spend at a little bit lower price (market rate) and that is another percentage lost.
736  Economy / Speculation / Re: 21 BTC = inflation-adjusted $millionaire in 12 years on: April 19, 2017, 06:24:26 AM
i have found out that it is best to not think about how much bitcoin you need to be worth X amount and things like that.
in my opinion when you ivnest in bitcoin you should invest what you can, whether it is buying 0.01BTC or 21 bitcoin. as long as you buy something with some money you don't need and can let it stay there for a long term. the real value of bitcoin is always shown in long term. we can see it go up from 450 to 1000 and before that from 200 to 450 in 1 year. and so on.
737  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 18, 2017, 06:44:27 AM
I think an underlying vulnerability in the exchange ecosystem right now is Tether, specifically its legality under banking laws in the various countries where exchanges are established and using Tether.  Pegging an electronic token to the USD as a service to depositors is about as close as you can get to a bank without actually being a bank.

tether is simply irrelevant because it is not being uses as much as you think it is. the volume that it has indicates it very well.
this is a new thing that i have been seeing you and a couple of rather newly created accounts are saying! and honestly i can't see how we can even start talking about USDT while there are a lot of other things wrong with these platforms that are much bigger.

Where are you getting your tether volume data?  Is that volume data the sole reason you claim that it is not "used as much as I think it is"?  Also, are you suggesting that I'm a shill because I have a young account?

no i did not mean it like that. sorry.
i am simply reporting my perosnal observation. based on things on read on the forum, things i see on charts and things i see while i am on the exchanges trading.

when i talk to other traders in here or in groups none of them like tether and they prefer using fiat instead. and the volume that i usually check on exchanges (not lately but so far in the past 2 years) are low. much lower than you expect it to be.
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: a new strategy for dice (all or nothing or double or nothing!) on: April 18, 2017, 04:23:48 AM
as promised, i have tried this strategy.
this is a good strategy in my opinion, very risky but it is high reward.
but there is a big problem with it when you try it with faucet, and it is an obvious one. if you lose you'll have to wait a long time to be able to claim again. losing happens in a second but you have to wait for example 3 minutes!

someone said open another dice site, that may be a good option but losing both places at the same time means the same wait again.

in any case i was able to win nearly 20000 satoshi in one go and decided to stop there, it is still waiting for me to decide which way i want to go Smiley
739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what hinders bitcoin to become a mainstream currency? on: April 18, 2017, 04:17:48 AM
people love to blame others for their mistakes or what they lack.
it is not the government, it is not the banks, it is not .... it is users themselvs. when you see people are not willing to spend bitcoin (use it as a currency) and see bitcoin as only an investment which they will hold for 100 years you can't really expect merchants to accept it and eventually reach mainstream adoption.
