721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beer maker Anheuser-Busch company takes blockchain for shipping on: March 22, 2018, 01:03:31 PM
The consortium of companies joined among others Maersk and Japanese shipping firm Mitsui OSK Lines working with IBM for blockchain solutions. The results of the test of the piloting show that the technology can cut down costs and improve supply chain visibility.
Know More: Coinpedia

This kind of system is not new. Last year I have heard of an ICo which is also backed up by a shipping company. Their aim is to bridge shipping transactions through blockchain technology using their coin. But this kind of business are big ones since shipping is a multi-million dollar business and not a joke. This could be a big ICO if they will launch their coin but sadly google will ban crypto soon so it may cause a problem on their ICO.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you mining? If yes then why (is it profitable) If no then why? on: March 22, 2018, 12:53:07 PM
I am sure many people here must be mining Bitcoin or some other Crypto, if so then why? Is it profitable? If no then why no? My personal view is that it’s no longer profitable due to various reasons.

But I have just found https://goo.gl/nmFzQa - it is FREE while allows you to do mining and got 10 level deep referral systems, so do you think this is worthy? And is it not better than mining by our self?

Will love to hear people’s view!

If you are a solo miner and only have a few mining rig then it could be profitable or not depending on the coin that you are going to mine. But if you want to mine bitcoin then you should better look for other coins such as monero or electroneum which is much profitable than mining bitcoin. Select coins which have a lower difficulty then hold for sometime then when its value has gone up then it is time to sell.
723  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump bans Venezuelan cryptocurrency in USA on: March 22, 2018, 12:18:01 PM
Trump is a warrior that's for sure, he wants to fight with every possible country I guess. The Trump administration has banned all use by Americans of a Venezuelan cryptocurrency (Petro), saying that its introduction is intended to skirt US sanctions.
I am not so sure this is ok, although Venezuela is well known for the drugs traffick that is ongoing over there.

I can't really believe that minimum wages in Venezuela are $3.... I mean wtf, how much does a bread cost there, 1 cent?

You can read it in the news here --> CryptoPlanet

Dont be surprised that the bread is 1 cent each or less than. In third world countries bread are much cheaper compare to first world countries. Anyway let is go back to the topic on cryptocurrency.

Trumps decision of banning Venezuelan cryptocurrency (Petrol) is a counter-attack to the Venezuela's decision of banning US dollars at their oil market. Venezuela has made the first move thus it is normal for America to make a counter-attack since the economic ties between two countries have been cut off already. Well its not our problem anyway as long as Venezuela and America does not ban bitcoin then I have no problem with both countries.

Ripple is one of the riskiest coin to invest right now. There are many individuals holding millions of ripple right now and it is very hard to increase its value since when it goes high a huge dump of coins will happen. So it is better that ripple would stay its value below 1$ so that there will be no more traders that will lose huge money buy buying ripple at 1$ and above. It is very risky to invest in ripple so its much better to buy bitcoin than to buy ripple.
725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Digital money is cashless society on: March 22, 2018, 11:39:03 AM
It is said now China is a cashless society. Use of debit and credit cards in shops/stores, online pay bills, shopping online.

Money earned from the internet is known as digital/electronic money.

All you need to know about digital money  http://www.digitalmoneytalk.com

People who earn money from the internet, they get paid money in electronic form by payment processors such as skrill, perfectmoney, alipay, paypal, bank-wire transfers because online workers are worldwide. See http://money-talk.org

How is digital money is your country ??

Bitcoin is a part of digital money.

I have been watching the news lately and China is really indeed moving towards becoming a cashless society. But more or less the use of digital cash has becoming popular nowadays especially to the people living in the city and to the teenagers. China has even a vending machine that serves drinks or instant foods by just scanning the QR code and paying it using an application. It is a cool app actually and as I have heard more and more people are now joining this kind of thing in CHina.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxable cryptocurrencies. on: March 22, 2018, 11:29:56 AM
Most countries are now able to introduce the tax system especially in the GCC countries. As for the cryptocurrencies, I've read an article about the taxation of Bitcoin and Etherium in the New York Times.

Generally taxation is used by the government to increase their funds for the benefit of its constituents. Aren't cryptocurrencies decentralized? Unlike the actual bills and we use as medium for exchange/trading and investment which are all centralized and its circulation is being controlled by the government right?

If the tax system will pursue, is it fair enough seeing that the government is about to invade bitcoin? What are your insights about this?

Here is the link:
https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/03/21/technology/think-cryptocurrency-is-confusing-try-paying-taxes-on-it.html

It is just fair for the government to put taxes on cryptocurrency. Since cryptocurrency has become a business and many have already made a profit then it is a just decision to place taxes on cryptocurrency. Crypto assets are now considered to be like virtual property assets and could be subjected to taxation. The lesser your crypto holding the lesser the tax and the higher your holdings the lesser the tax. But let us not worry since the only way the government could tax us is the moment we withdraw our coin at the legal exchanges.
727  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Volatility A Bad Thing? on: March 22, 2018, 11:22:00 AM
Without volatility, investors in the market and traders will not make any profit. It's good to some people and bad to others just like any other thing in this world. One man's meat is another man's poison.

If there is no volatility then bitcoin will be boring. And in line with your statement traders and the market will be not seeing each other since only volatility has the power to make the traders and the market meet each other. Volatility is the power that turns the wheel of bitcoin, without it bitcoin could not reach the current value of today and will remain at 0.03$ up to now.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rises After Financial Stability Board Sent Letter to G-20 Officials on: March 22, 2018, 11:18:57 AM
Financial Stability Board told G-20 in a letter that cryptocurrencies do not pose any threat to global financial systems at least for now. This is because their combining market value is less than 1 percent of the global GDP.

Read more here: Bitcoin Rises After Financial Stability

THis could be the answer to all bitcoin enthusiasts prayer and hope. Possibly the price of bitcoin could break the 10k$ value by the coming weeks due to the good news. But let us just hope since even though there are good news the bad news about bitcoin is already on the streak and steadily appearing like a rain fallinf from the sky. But hope the good news brought about by the G20 meeting could overpower all the bad news that has been kicking btc to fall.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC for taxi on: March 21, 2018, 12:22:00 PM
I thought I have already posted a topic like this one last year. And during that time I was so happy when I found out that there was a huge car company in Rome that was accepting bitcoin as fare during the ride. I dont know if it still continues up to this date , but that was really a good news. Aside from taxis accepting bitcoin there are restaurants, schools that accepts bitcoin. If you make a thorough research online you will be surprised that there are actually many kinds of establishments on selected location around the world that actually accepts bitcoin.
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Online Shopping Exp. With Bitcoin – Faster, Cheaper Than Visa, Paypal on: March 21, 2018, 12:14:40 PM
Hi all i just wanted to share my experience recently using bitcoin since the implementation of SegWit, i went online shopping and when i proceeded to the checkout of clothing store Marbek i selected Coinbase as Payment method. I was presently surprised at how fast bitcoin was and how the whole process was overall. https://www.cointrust.com/news/my-online-shopping-exp-with-bitcoin-faster-cheaper-than-visa-paypal

It is great to buy things with bitcoin but many merchants are just negative to accept bitcoin due to its volatility. During the last great price drop from 20k$ to 6k$ many merchants have suffered from huge losses due to the price drop. And that is why the number or merchants have decreased and even huge businesses online have started to decline the use of bitcoin due to their losses.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc blockchain adress question on: March 21, 2018, 12:12:18 PM
I have checked the transaction ID and I eventually saw that you have successfully sent sent 0.0315 btc to 3MCvfVW1SRuX26G7JaL225ZNabZ6xxAbVK . If it is visible in the TXID then that is good enough evidence that you have successfully sent that btc to that address. As long as you have the txid and the withdrawal confirmation and the withdrawal history then it is already a good evidence that you sent the btc. But next time make sure to send it to your own address before sending it to any address that way you can easily trace your transactions.
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will EXPLODE Sooner Than You Think on: March 21, 2018, 11:52:50 AM
Bitcoin will take some time before it will explode in value. It is just starting to recover from its huge fall and it is starting to be stable (stable means normal ups and downs without sudden volatility) and thus we can expect that by next week or next month we can hit again the value of 10k$. After hitting that value bitcoin will have some ups and downs but steadily it will go up until it will reach the value of 20k$ by the end of the year.
733  Economy / Speculation / Re: $11k - when do you sell on: March 21, 2018, 11:47:06 AM
Bitcoin is at 9k$ at this point of time and I am waiting for the price to go back to 20k$ before I will sell my coins. Though I am selling some of my coins but only if I need some cash for an urgent need and necessities for the family. But I have been saving my bitcoin so that when the value will go skyrocket I can gain a huge profit. Though it will take some time but I believe that my patience will be fruitful when the time comes.
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Gain Traction as a Currency? on: March 21, 2018, 11:43:07 AM
In the current quirky world of Crypto, We believe and hope Bitcoin will become a global currency, one that we can spend on "Pizza" the same way we use Visa or MasterCard. What do you think needs to be done to make BlockChain technology a success ?

The only way for that to happen is if all country will have a local application on its own that people can just exchange bitcoin without suffering from delays and a high fees. Since the transactions are done internally within the application there will be no more problems of delays and fees. In the Philippine we have the app called coins.ph, it allows us to exchange btc to fiat currecy and vice versa. Also we can transfer our btc to other wallets of people using the same app when we purchase goods online to merchants without suffering from higher fees. If all countries will have that kind of app then the problem on bitcoin will be solved.

Do people think we've hit the bottom?
Have we seen the worst of the bloodbaths?

The bloodbath is over as of now and bitcoin will start to recover. People are now going inside the market after the huge storm has calm. But since everything is unpredictable sooner or later the bloody market will appear again. But let us not worry since that is very normal to this kind of market and it is also a good chance for us to buy some coin at their lowest value.
736  Economy / Economics / Re: what's the easiest way to keep a coin at a fixed price on: March 21, 2018, 11:26:48 AM
How difficult is it in really to what Tether (USDT) does such as pegging the coin to US Dollar price of $1?

Since it is within the market it will be subjected to volatility and of course there will be no fix value. But if there are consensus of making that coin at a stable and fix value then that can happen. If it has a fix value then somehow the traders will find that coin boring since there is no income there. There is income in volatility if there is no volatility how can we expect profit.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google will ban all cryptocurrency-related advertising on: March 21, 2018, 11:22:00 AM
Someone got scammed and now YOU will have to pay the price!

Google will ban all cryptocurrency-related advertising.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/13/google-bans-crypto-ads.html

That suits me really well. Got all my dogecoins nicked on cryptopia. 100 doges stolen on tradsatoshi (They have the best show treating customers like idiots!). Scammed again on bittrex and got my litecoins stolen on poloniex. So far no more trouble than expected on yobit (Someone is trading inside there i believe).

Those pieces of shit that runs the show today don't need any more understanding. Jail should fit.

I can relate to that since I was also being hacked on c-cex and I was hacked on genesis mining. I was also hacked on coinexchange and somebody is trying to get inside my account on cryptopia. I do agree with you that yobit is good since only in yobit that my funds are safe. There are also many scam ICO's out there who are not sincere of putting up a cryptocurrency rather they are just after your money.

But for me even though I was hacked many times and there many scam ICO's banning cryptocurrency related ads is not a good idea. Instead of banning it the best way is to create a certain body wherein all that would launch an ICO or an investment scheme pertaining to cryptocurrency should get permits and should comply with the regulations. This way fake ICO's will stop to exist and fake investment will stop appearing and scam people.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best ICO in the market with lowest risk. on: March 21, 2018, 11:14:58 AM
Hi Everyone!

Can you please suggest me the best ICO in the market with lowest risk.

Thanks
Josh Batsman

There are no ICO in the market that has a low risk. Almost everything has a risk and it is really hard to determine which of them would be prosperous or would end up closing without even going inside the exchanges. Also there are numerous scam ICOS being made and probably there are syndicates behind those ICOS who are actually creating many coins for the purpose of getting profit itself. Then after hitting the exchanges they will dump all of their coin and will launch another ICO.  Though there are many honest dev but the problem is that they have low sales and they had a problem of getting inside an exchange since the fee are very high and  it is very difficult to get into an exchange.
739  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Summit G20 and Crypto - discussing on: March 21, 2018, 11:11:12 AM
During the G20 several topics about how to deal on cryptocurrency was discussed.  They are discussing that cryptocurrency was not a threat to financial security but they are thinking of creating regulations to avoid the holders being hurt by launderers, criminals and hackers. There are no conclusion yet to be heard since every country has its own issues against cryptocurrency while others are open minded about it.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin worth risking your time and money? on: March 21, 2018, 11:03:58 AM
We all know that involving in bitcoin it takes your time and also money. Is it worthy to risk your time and money because of bitcoin?

Investing in bitcoin means business, so because it is business it means that there is a risk of a loss and also a potential profit when you earn. Just like any business when you have short sales then you will go bankrupt on the long run, it is the same with bitcoin if there are no more buyers of bitcoin its value keeps getting lower. But if you are not business minded then you should not invest in bitcoin instead find some work and employment.
