It is said now China is a cashless society. Use of debit and credit cards in shops/stores, online pay bills, shopping online.

Just like Bitcoin which does not have a physical presence, money/cash will not have physical presence in "cashless society/countries" where money becomes digital/numbers.

Money earned from the internet is known as digital/electronic money.

People who earn money from the internet, they get paid money in electronic form by payment processors such as skrill, perfectmoney, alipay, paypal, bank-wire transfers because online workers are worldwide.

How is digital money is your country ??  Bitcoin is a part of digital money.

The process has certainly begun and started to pick up steam. Transitioning over to a 100% digital money economy is a long way away though. I have spent alot of time in China and it is definitely not a cashless society. Most of the population does not even have a bank account, let alone not use cash. That said, the process is moving, but it will be a long one.

Bitcoin era is not just cashless society but also cardless! Everything will be purely digital. You will pah in the store just by scanning the QR code. You will pay your bills online and send remittances also. Cryptocurrencies really helps our living more comfortable and easier than before. Everything can be done in a few clicks.

ATM is also part of the media that makes cartal money into digital money with the same value or price. In my country, for some big companies have been applying digital money with transactions through ATM.

This space for rent.

I have long been against cash and try to use non-cash payment. I also use electronic money on the Internet.
Bitcoin is also a currency, but for now you can not buy anything for it. It is necessary to wait when bitcoin is legalized all over the world, we hope that this will happen

My country is moving towards cashless society. But government has not allowed BTC  as legal tender while people are shifting towards it .So may be in coming years people start to use it for becoming cashless society.

Bitcoin is a digital money so are many cryptocurrencies such as Litecoin. However, what you refer to as digital money is not really the digital money that many of us consider here. A cashless society does not really mean they are all using the digital money. The cashless society that you are also referring to here is still using the old fiat monetary system. What made it a bit different is that the fiat money that we have been using has now entered into a different phase with the advent of the internet, but still everything is fiat-based and not crypto. Paypal, bank-wire transfers, etc are not using digital money. They are using the old fiat money.

Another thing, china is a very huge country and is mostly populated by poor citizens who are still using the hard fiat cash as their money.

Bitcoin is a part of digital money.

My part of the world in Africa is now understanding and gradually shifting to digital currencies. The use of credit cards, debit cards, paypal, bank-wire transfers, e-zswich etc is now known by 60% of the populace. But for complete cardless like bitcoin; only few people are aware about its existence and would take some time for many to adopt

In my country people also gradually pass to cashless payments, but cash still has not lost its popularity, especially for older people who are extremely skeptical about money on cards and purchases on the Internet. I believe that in the future the society will become cashless, as it is much more convenient, less costly and environmentally friendly option of payment. I think Bitcoin and the other crypto-currencies will be the locomotive of "cashless society" progress. Because it is digital money that has fully demonstrated what it cashless payments completely mean.

Digital money has become very beneficial since it improves one's discipline towards financial management because all of the transactions were recorded, you can keep an eye and will see how much you've spent on something. Not just that, it also provides convenience since there's no need to worry in bringing cash or lining up at ATM machine. The best advantage would be it will lessen cases of theft.

Digital money is definitely a form cashless society, because when you want to make purchases you either pay through a digital currency, credit card or through an Internet money transfer,so therefore digital money is really cashless society because you don't have to work around with cash to make transactions.

I have been watching the news lately and China is really indeed moving towards becoming a cashless society. But more or less the use of digital cash has becoming popular nowadays especially to the people living in the city and to the teenagers. China has even a vending machine that serves drinks or instant foods by just scanning the QR code and paying it using an application. It is a cool app actually and as I have heard more and more people are now joining this kind of thing in CHina.

Now a days electronics money like ATM card, debit card, credit card and other card that can be use to buy goods and services are rising and use by people in every society but it doesn't really means that it already a cashless society since paper money was still the most easiest way in direct transaction of buying little things for daily needs.

Now 831 billionaires in China and 435 billionaires in USA. China could be a cashless society with 850,000,000 internet users.

Yes!! when you say digital money, that means cashless! you can transfer if anywhere and you can use it without even toughing it. And bitcoin has that capabilities! In the future bitcoin can become the digital currency of the future and many people will use it to buy stuff. All that is needs is for it to be more stable.

Most of the people visiting foreign countries usually have  to deal with the literate urban community.    They rarely meet rural or illiterate population.  There is definitely difference in life style among literate / illiterate, rural / urban people.  When foreigners see most of the urban people using cards for payment they may misunderstand that all the citizens are using cards.
This may have happened with the OP here.  In India also it's true that urban people use card but very less population form rural people prefer or even know how to use payment via cards / internet.  A lot of efforts are needed in this direction.  Though the current Government is very much active and doing best efforts to promote cashless trading.  Within years definitely India will be cashless majority country.
