Read Bitcoin Mining 101
Look through the Beginners and Help section
Learn how to use this nifty tool called 'Search'...

Agree, so much topics about mining here that you don't know where to start reading.  Grin
And before you divulge yourself in mining, know how to calculate the profitability as you might end up earning very little or nothing at all.
Just a couple of sites that can help you estimate your ROI -

7202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PoS][TOKC] TokyoCoin - New PoS Algorithm | FREE Airdrops on: October 14, 2017, 09:14:04 AM
Where is the source code? I'm a linux user and I want to compile the wallet, however only windows binaries are available and no source code.

That's what I was asking also. You can compile if the src folder is there but to no avail, they didn't put it there.

The source code is missing the src folder.  Huh
Couldn't find it on their github source.
Want to compile on my own. But failed because missing src folder???

7204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Japan leading the way with crypto currency on: October 13, 2017, 08:35:00 PM
So might be a good time to invest in monacoin?
That's a good price increase & now that BTC is more than 5k$, seems that this might be a good altcoin for short-term investment in trading.

This will just be another e-crap token very soon.
Considering the fact that there's nothing substantial presented in the OP.
Just by mere presence in the social media and giving airdrops are the things laid out atm.
Yes, at some point its price might surpass doge's current price but it will die soon.
That's my opinion though.
7206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN] [PRE-ICO] ELTCOIN | ERC20 Token | Official | Only 24 hours til PRE-ICO🚀 on: October 13, 2017, 11:03:29 AM
So what's happening with ELTC and its derivatives?
The original thread of this I think got deleted?

So the dev team should be proactive and really do their part to prove that this project is worth calling the ELTCOIN.
7207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VERIFYUNION - Identity Verifier & Social Scoring Engine. on: October 13, 2017, 06:11:02 AM
Though huge investment is at stake here, if they proved themselves that they are really legit and can deliver what they are aiming for, then, this project might be successful in the crypto industry.
But needs good marketing strategy to come up with their targets especially that so many projects are being launched everyday here.

The project seems to be well-thought of and well-prepared.
But not sure if all members of the team are real.
If possible, can you give at least links of their respective profiles? Thanks.
7209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][preICO] SOFIN - International fiat platform for P2P loans on: October 11, 2017, 09:05:36 AM
Nice and simple presentation of the ANN.
Pre-ICO money to be collected is already huge so a lot of money is at stake here.
With the current trend here, you will doubt the authenticity of the project and be hesitant to put your money.

I have few volpcoins and I thought this one is not pushing thru.
Good thing that the dev made a new thread here in BCT as I'm not that active in bitcoingarden.
7211  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trusted Cloud Mining Oct 2017? on: October 10, 2017, 10:22:06 PM
I can say one thing, all cloud mining businesses out there, legit or not are not really giving you good profit or ROI in return.
Even if it's already Oct 2017, still I don't trust any cloud mining sites.
So you might want to dig deeper about cloud mining investments here in the forum and check for yourself.
7212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BRONCOIN] 10000% value with instant Bitcoin exchange - FREE!!! on: October 10, 2017, 05:35:23 AM
I don't know if you can get investors for this project.
Such expensive coin with no solid foundation so far.
Not even source code that we can get from your website.  Roll Eyes
7213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Critique My Startup Rig on: October 09, 2017, 11:56:38 PM
All summed up- ?
Your hardware is ok!
When starting to mine for the first time
Or with your first rig it is important to learn
So any hardware that helps this is very good!
Good Luck!
7214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT EXACTLY WILL HAPEN AFTER OCTOBER !6? on: October 09, 2017, 11:25:23 PM
There are already a lot of threads about this topic.
But to make things clear, there will be a new coin with Bitcoin's current chain that will split after 25 October.
After the 'split' happens you can claim your Bitcoin Gold with your Bitcoin wallets' private key.
The coin will have different features then the 'official' Bitcoin, and will be an altcoin.

All it is is just another fork in what will likely be many to come. Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Silver, Bitcoin Diamond... starting to think we are playing Pokemon all over again. lol

Although I must admit it is really cool how people who own Bitcoin automatically just get free money all of the time from these airdrops. Byteball, Bitcoin Cash and now Bitcoin Gold. Free money for clicking a few buttons. Seems legit. Tongue

I agree. And that's one of the benefits of holding bitcoin for so long.  Smiley
Free money for just having BTC in your wallet.
But there are moments that you just want to encash because of the roller-coaster ride of BTC (i.e. when China decided to ban ICOs, etc..)
7215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming ICOs in the end of 2017 on: October 09, 2017, 03:12:44 PM
So many ICO's everyday that you can't track anymore.
And you will notice also that even not real devs can now create their own coin/token/asset because of the platforms that are easy to clone or use.
But anyway, you can check for yourself in these sites -

7216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many years will take that fiat coin will be replaced by cryptocurrency? on: October 09, 2017, 03:01:59 PM
Everything is possible but we can't really predict our future.
Might be a reality someday because of the rapid evolution of technology.
But too difficult to tell how many years from now will that scenario happen.
7217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Sojourn, Nova Exchange active on fork! (Now with DGW!) on: October 09, 2017, 02:15:45 AM
is this totally abandoned already?

Seems that the dev has no plans of coming back now.
He checked the thread as he was online last Oct 4 but no updates from him.
7218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]**[VULTR] High POS 500% - With low initial supply on: October 07, 2017, 05:07:21 PM
Following this thread as you might need assistance with compilation of qt wallets.
7219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DiveCoin - The Ultimate Dumpster Diving Experience! Presale now! on: October 07, 2017, 03:41:27 PM
Have you seen the trend of giving airdrops?
Might want to change your strategy and revise your title.
Put airdrop as part of your initial plans to get so much attention.
And your thread will be long enough already before your next f*rt.  Grin
7220  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Question on: October 07, 2017, 03:25:35 AM
No, these contracts are right. With the amount of profits that people can see from buying into the altcoin mining frenzy the difficulity is going to increase at an exponential rate due to this. Plus, my view on Cloud Mining (be it bitcoin or Altcoins) is that all of the companies that offer this out are a bunch of scams, and the few that aren't are the ones that are just going  to stop mining on your 'lifetime' contract when it isn't profitable for them.

Avoid it all together dude, you're bound to lose all your money in the end.

That's very correct. Never trust them even the legit ones.
I lost a lot of money with cloud mining contracts before.
And yes, even with the so-called lifetime contracts, they will just stop sending your share.
Hard lesson for me. So please don't ever place big investments on this.
Just money that you can risk of or you're ready to lose, if you really want to invest on cloud mining.
There are a lot of discussions here also related to cloud mining, so you might want to dig deeper & learn more about this before plunging to an unknown venture.
