7221  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would an alternative to bitcoin talk be good or not? on: October 22, 2013, 04:22:03 PM
There's been many forums which have tried to compete with this forum and normally fail within a few months and end up closing. This forum has been here from pretty much the start of Bitcoin and has history, such as Satoshi signing up and being active once upon a time. This forum also has a lot of content which helps new comers. For any forum to compete it needs to mature and not suspect instant results.

There's been a new one created a few weeks back and I don't think it's going to last already.
7222  Economy / Services / Re: Signature For Sale - 300+ Useful Posts a Month on: October 21, 2013, 08:23:18 PM
Why are all these threads popping up when there are perfectly good options already available.

Because some people may not agree with those services which are offering money in return of advertising their signature.

I've never seen robocop but he does look badass.

Robocop is AMAZING. Go and watch it now, if you can ignore the bad graphics and corny parts then you will love it.
7224  Other / Off-topic / Re: Not a noob anymore? I can post! on: October 21, 2013, 08:19:32 PM
Nice.

Your next target is 10,000 post count and 10,000 activity Smiley

That's when we'll throw a party.
7225  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SteamBits.com - Buy Video Games with Bitcoins! Sale: GRID 2!! on: October 21, 2013, 08:17:43 PM
I don't think the website is actually being maintained anymore. It's been like it for awhile.
7226  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [S] Super cheap Netflix Gift Codes! on: October 21, 2013, 08:16:48 PM
So, the queston remains and should be answered. Are these legit purchased codes.
7227  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Stampbit.com on: October 21, 2013, 08:16:03 PM
Maybe you should post this in the auction section if you are auctioning it. But, if you are offering a fixed price. Please state what you are looking for.
7228  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: October 21, 2013, 08:13:57 PM
Waiting for hearthstone like most people...

I'm also going to wait for this and wait on a few reviews before finally trying it out. Also, Watchdogs looks great.
7229  Other / Off-topic / Re: SteamOS - Oh fucking god no on: October 21, 2013, 08:12:13 PM
Well, I'll be testing it. It's free so I have nothing to lose. But, I don't know if I will be keeping it installed.
7230  Other / Off-topic / Re: My post got deleted for being "off-topic" on: October 21, 2013, 08:11:19 PM
Bacon is a meat product prepared from a pig and usually cured. It is first cured using large quantities of salt, either in a brine or in a dry packing; the result is fresh bacon (also known as green bacon). Fresh bacon may then be further dried for weeks or months in cold air, or it may be boiled or smoked. Fresh and dried bacon is typically cooked before eating. Boiled bacon is ready to eat, as is some smoked bacon, but may be cooked further before eating.

Who likes bacon Huh

Reported for trolling.  Angry

Go ahead, but I'm in international waters:

You've got a bite.
7231  Other / Meta / Re: New Forum Registration disabled ? on: October 21, 2013, 08:10:27 PM
I too am hoping all these fake registrations get fixed.  You go through the list and there are so many 0 post accounts its not funny!

Maybe all 0 post accounts should get deleted if there are no posts within a week,

Then for every post an account has it get delayed delition by 2 weeks.

at the worst people have to sign up again.

Or maybe pay a $10 fee to prevent trimming of your account.

Just a thought Smiley

It's a good idea. Those posts which have little to none posts are not needed in the forum anyway.

English isn't my first language. I meant, should I be worried that these accounts got compromised because of the recent attack and change my account information?

Yes, you should change your password. The Bitcoin forum has actually got a news alert on the subject in matter.

Ok. What's your opinion? Minecraft or Terraria? Which is better.

Terraria, certainly has more content than Minecratt does and more capabilities. Also, it's 2d view really makes the game more 'exciting', well at least it does for me. It reminds me of some of the old games, although it does lack in some aspects such as having a lot of bugs.

Minecraft, is a great game. Lots of content. Massive maps. New updates every so often. A great community. But, I Minecraft can become boring quick because of the lack of content.

However, I don't like to compare them because I see them as two separate games and very different in playing style. I like both of the games and play them depending on my mood.
7234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see Silk Road's closure as a positive or negative? on: October 11, 2013, 10:44:31 PM
It's good. Even if it reduces the amount of people interested in Bitcoin. We should no longer be tainted by the market.
7235  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Faucets app for Android devices on: October 11, 2013, 10:43:23 PM
Open source would be better. Otherwise, we can only take your word for it.

Oh damn, son! You got me GOOD! Cheesy

Your getting a lot of hate for doing this, aren't you?
7237  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Public Discussion - escrow dispute - greendots & Redblue on: October 11, 2013, 10:36:02 PM

Each transaction needs to be handled individually. If we assume that the person who attempted a scam in the past is the one attempting the scam in the present, then we open up an opportunity for people to easily perpetrate fraud against anyone who has ever been accused of a scam and unable to properly defend themselves.

Perhaps Redblue saw that thread that you linked and intentionally engaged in a transaction with greendots because they knew that other thread would poison people's minds in his favor when he tried to scam greendots?  I'm not saying that happened.  Not at all.  I'm just saying that we have to be aware of the possibility and that the resolution of this transaction has to stand on its own without being influenced by the other transactions that either party has engaged in previously.

That's a good point. I was just linking to another source. Obviously, it's just a indicator and maybe shouldn't be involved with this case. Let's see what they have to say about it. Greendots responded to the last accusation, so hopefully he/she will do again.

I have opened my first BTC account on coinbase.com.  Any suggestions for getting started or using a different online wallet?

coinbase.com is fine if you using the BTC for buying stuffs/services. If you plan to dont use the BTC for longer period, use Bitcoin-QT wallet on your computer.

You could always try Blockchain. It's a very good online wallet.

What about pre ordering?
7240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another newbie joining the forum on: October 11, 2013, 10:20:57 PM
There are Bitcoin software for the Iphone and android. But, I'm unsure if they are actually secure. But, like mentioned above, just use Blockchain on your phones web browser.
