7321  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 21 Bitmain L3+ in Canada on: March 23, 2020, 05:17:14 AM

$45 a piece?

Looks like with Canada Post it's $48.37 CAD per unit (without PSU). That's $34 USD roughly.  UPS Standard is $40.85  CAD so a bit cheaper.

PSUs will add quite a bit to the weight unfortunately so if you happen to have ATX or server power supplies to power them it might be best to skip shipping the PSUs.

darn the price is fine - its the shipping that sucks because without PSU's would be $73.30 give or take - with PSU's prolly closer to $85-$90 - shipping from CA to US has always sucked.

I will have to pass at this time as I can get them locally for about $75

Thank you for checking though. and glws - its prolly going to have to be a local sale to be worth it to both sides.

Still available.

price per unit with shipping to FL 34669 ?

I'll PM you a shipping quote. I have 4 units at home I can ship. The ones in Labrador I'll quote with UPS. As for price I have no idea what these are worth these days. Make me an offer.

let me know what you want for the 4 units and what the shipping is.

Ok, I'll get you a quote ready today. As for price like I said I have no idea what these are worth these days. On ebay the cheapest I found was $63 USD so I'd say $50 is a good price, no?

$50 is fine - just curious if buying 4 would make it any cheaper Smiley let me know on the shipping that will be the deciding factor

I have been mining on a FutureBit Apollo for 5 days.  2nd batch miner.

This has not worked without having Donation on.  Is there a way to make it work without the donation?

I would not care that much but I have a concern about the donation tab.  The dashboard says that the donation is getting 1% of the hashpower but the donation tab is getting half as many Accepted and slightly more Gets than the main tab.  This does not seem right.

Here are the numbers,

Main:        48532 Acc, 65 Rej, 1378015 Dis, 26653 Get
Donation:  23296 Acc, 9 Rej,   440 Dis,        26764 Get

Any experienced miners have any advice?  Is my concern legit?

Thanks!!!

you should be able to go in the pools screen and turn off the donation pool. I did it on mine with zero issues. As you can see below. Mine has been working for months

Hi Stryfe,

Thanks for notifying, but it is in the right area:
Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Mining (Altcoins) > Pools (Altcoins)

Or did you move it yourself?

Thanks

I didnt move it but my guess is a moderator did as it was originally in the bitcoin pool area - so all good Smiley

you are in the wrong area - this should be down in altcoins not in bitcoin area.

try moving your post to here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=199.0

I wish the 2070's could run SLI - if they could I would be so tempted to get it. glws

I would be willing to escrow the sale if you need escrow, my fee is 1% - I do have limited exposure doing escrow but all my feedback on the deals I have been part of is positive.
7331  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 20xObelisk SC1 Dual slim on: March 20, 2020, 04:22:39 AM
I would do the escrow as well if Phil finds himself busy - I am limited exposure on here but I think Phil will vouch for me Smiley
7332  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: March 18, 2020, 04:25:28 PM
i think what he is asking as are a few others - those that use this should have done what you suggested and tested it and shown the results - we are only asking for verification. There have been and are a lot of FW out there that does not and has been proven to not find blocks - flashback to slush and genesis mining. Slush let them run a large qty of hash (think around 300 PH) using a custom FW and paid them - when it was identified that their FW does indeed not find blocks, slush still paid them.

we all want more out our miners but we also want miners that are capable of finding blocks at the end of the day.

as for challenging the others, we have asked - no one answers or the posts get deleted - or we get told to prove it doesnt work. The proving should be the responsibility of the one pushing the fw. I have no animosity nor have my posts shown any so my guess is you mean that towards Fuzzy.

edit: and if it has been shown/proven and I missed it, I apologize and ask that I be pointed to the right thread/post.
7333  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Exploit Antminer S9 and T9+ Firmware ASICBOOST original hacked , FREE RELEASE ! on: March 18, 2020, 01:56:04 PM
anyone have proof of finding a block once they switch over to this modified FW?

that is my question with any of these firmwares once they are released.

maybe it was posted somewhere here? if so, I apologize. but can anyone show proof of anyone using this FW that has found a block?

7337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: March 15, 2020, 05:40:06 AM
I just tried my apollo on the coinfoundry DGB pool and it wouldn't connect either.  Maybe there is some kind of incompatibility with that pool and the apollo?

It will mine other coins besides LTC though.  Mine works fine on zergpool and this DGB solo pool.

ok yea i tried tossing a few L3+ at it and they work for a bit then report it dead and fail over as well. I also notice that the pool is reporting the wrong value for dgb - its nearly double the actual value so maybe something is wrong with the pool itself as well.

edit: after looking around coin foundry, it is reporting wrong values for a lot of the coins. I also notice that when you look at pool stats - for example on dgb it says pool hash rate is 8 gh/s yet they also show their top miner as having 34 gh on the pool at the same time.

their stats and reporting are way off. wouldnt trust them for anything right about now. I will look at the pools you suggested - thanks.
7338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: March 14, 2020, 09:42:42 PM
question - is this supposed to mine only LTC? anytime I try a pool that does other scrypt coins, it never works.

An example, is coinfoundry.org has two scrypt coins, LTC and DGB - I can mine LTC there fine but not DGB at all. I have tried to mine DGB there with my L3+ and have no issues, only the Apollo will not mine anything but LTC it seems.

let me know what that first months earnings are. curious as to how raspi's are efficient at any type of mining. i poked around their site a little but not sure what they really do. might have missed it, or it might just be over my head.

at the end of the day, it is about roi though - and if its longer than 10 months roi, there is no roi lol by then diff has jumped and value typically drops on all these alt coins. the devs then move onto another algo and coin and repeat the process to reap more cash from us crazy miners lol

Skycoin mining is different. its not Proof of Work. take a look on the skycoin website for more info

yes, ok so there is no diff  to affect it then right?

So, i get that but if you still take more than a year to make roi is it worth it?
