all yours my friend, and sorry about the mix up guys as i was driving and forgot to change and got the numbers mixed up.

it happens I guess the question is when did you change it? before 2:10 or after 2:10? because if it was after 2:10, he would not have even known to be watching to be able to counter bid. would be nice if the forums would update the post with when it was updated.

@mj

if it helps, I have 10 of these - I would be willing to give one of them for the amount @raimonn bid as well. not sure if that is allowed but if it is acceptable to all, I would be willing to do so.
6466  Other / Archival / Re: . on: June 22, 2020, 09:51:50 PM
Lot 3 - 0.022

Winner LOT 3

LOT 1 still active

He/she make a mistake bid on Lot2, after he/she edited the post. I think isn't fair.

I can see your point - even if you had been watching for lot 3 bids -

with your bid made at at 1:50:19 that extended it to 2:10:00 but a winner was pronounced at at 2:14:23 - after it should have been closed at 2:10:00 @raimonn most likely thought he had won it as @sunnybwoy had not fixed his bid until possibly after it should have closed.

tough call as it is hard to know when he edited his post, the error was pointed out at 2:06 - he obviously fixed it before MJ posted the winner at 2:14:23 but it could not have been much earlier as he didnt post he fixed it until 2:14:56 - about half a minute after being declared the winner.

You mentioned you had an instagram profile. Mind sharing the username so i can check it out?
Hoping to find more pics or some vids on the process, as beef jerky is really delicious, and kind of a rarity here in Europe.

It's in the very first post, @thecryptojerky is the instagram handle. If you want it in bulk that could be easier to handle internationally. I just checked the USPS website for international from me to England (first thing I thought of) and their flat rate box is $38.60 for up to 4lbs maximum weight and 6-10 day delivery. Flat rate boxes up to 20lbs are $75.35 to $99.10 depending on the size of the box.. I checked a few other real quick and prices seem higher than that.

didnt usps used to have those boxes that "if it fits, it ships" boxes that were one price per size, regardless of weight? or do they now have limits on weight for those?

Yes, those are the flat rate boxes. I think the lower weights only apply to international.  As far as domestic it looks like they can weigh up to 70lbs https://store.usps.com/store/results/shipping-supplies-prepaid-priority-mail/_/N-1u364ba?_requestid=114576

ahh ok! I used to use them a lot when I shipped things for my car club a few years ago.

I replied to your DM - and thanks! I will comply - I wonder though since they did not get the signature could you ding them on it and get reimbursed for their screw up? I hate to see you go in the hole for their fuck up.

I remember owning one of the pure silver bars, which I purchased directly from bigtimespaghetti. If I remember correctly, the extra holo stickers did NOT match the bar's serial number. This was common on a few other collectibles at the time too. For example, the f*D coins. (Again... IIRC.)

Knowing this, I wouldn't expect the non-matching numbers to affect the sale price. However, if you ever decide to sell one of your silver bars and get low ball offers because of the non-matching stickers, then shoot me a PM. I may be willing to buy it at a "matching-number" price. I've always liked those little bars.

Regards,
Chris

thanks Chris! I do have two bars and that makes me feel a little better about the mismatch holos - would you like to buy one?  Smiley I will trade it to you for a manhole cover lol j/k about the manhole cover - it is worth more than quite a few of these bars lol
6473  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO]-Crypto Stamps- Collectable Blockchain postage stamps on: June 22, 2020, 11:38:29 AM

well, this is just speculation and it should be avoided at any cost since its already possibile buy these stamps in legit shop at facial value. plus they can't ship now since they are selling stuff that doesn't have on their hands
It was much more interesting if some one has already use these stamps for "real postage".
collectors normally are crazy for these kind of stuffs. Likewise this italian stamp emitted initially on October 2007 , but postponed to December 2007 few hours after being available in post office:

An "Early Date Cancellation" it's absolutely interesting to have in a collection

agreed! I just find it amazing that people are marking them up like that.

both look good - I dabble in it a little myself but never on a large scale - maybe 2 lbs at at time tops. The grandkids love it as long as I dont make it too spicy lol

looking forward to trying yours.
6476  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] buying Casascius 1 BTC brass coin 2011-2013 on: June 22, 2020, 01:01:22 AM

I used to work in the financial industry and dealt with lots of contracts that had to be sent back and forth.  The vast majority of these documents had to be sent overnight.  Of all the services we used DHL was BY FAR the least reliable.

I do the same now - the one we seem to have the best luck with overnight is FedEx - in 10 years of me using them, I have only ever lost one package - and it was actually one sent to me by @phillipma1957 and that was like 2 weeks ago that they lost it - they promptly paid the claim, they accepted the blockchain transactions and our pms here as evidence of value/expense.

DHL... oh boy 3 lost packages and several destroyed but arrived packages and the majority of them late.

UPS... maybe a dozen or so that end up late but never lost any.

USPS... actually pretty reliable but slow - though I got a registered mail from Great Britain that was supposed to be signed for and not bent - it was shoved in my mailbox so was bent and had a hole in it. Oh, and they did not get my signature. The peelable sticker which they  are to take and return to sender for verification of receipt was still on the envelope. That was yesterday.

For digital assets - use a courier if its valuable, the expense will most likely be worth it.
6477  Economy / Reputation / Re: rxalts Auction on: June 22, 2020, 12:48:02 AM
Look - I can see what he is saying but I think it is ungrounded - no one was bidding, two people made offers and you - like any sane person - took the best offer.

I have bought from both FFrankie and rxalts and have zero issues with either one - so I don't want to hear any shit about being in some stupid 3rd grader "circle jerk".

The only other way might have been to tell them both to put their bids in the auction - but FFrankie's was too low, so he would have had to step it up - rxalts already said he got no response when he declined the offer - So I see no way on he could have possibly "known" that FFrankie would bid - I mean if he was gonna bid, why bullshit around with making a low ball offer - just bid.

At the end of the day - there is no way to make everyone happy, but come on, I am pretty sure rxalts is not trying to screw anyone over here. There is no need to digress to name calling and bully tactics. It is a good way to just get yourself excluded from any of their future auctions/raffles --- I have seen a few already that are on the exclusion list, I doubt FFrankie wants that. So, suck it up buttercup, put your big girl panties on and stop trying to create mountains out of mole hills.
6478  Economy / Reputation / Re: rxalts Auction on: June 21, 2020, 05:26:14 PM
Are you kidding me? you cancel an auction because there is no interest? and nobody is going to call you out. what a joke

I was going to bid, I even PMed you I was going to bid so you cant say there is no interest

if you dont want something selling for the opening bid of an auction thats the risk you take when you auction it.

How is it different from this? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1701029.msg17095353#msg17095353

Nobody bid in your auction and you said you'd keep it.

Unless mistaken he closed it after it would have ended.
6479  Other / Archival / Re: . on: June 21, 2020, 04:04:05 PM
lot 3 .02 BTC  I have several of them but who wants a lot without a bid??? Smiley
6480  Economy / Reputation / Re: rxalts Auction on: June 21, 2020, 01:34:30 PM
I would say that if someone made a offer over pm they should have made the offer in the auction - some people dont bid first they always counter bid after someone else bids first.

That said, I think rxalts has the right to close an auction if he chooses to. Especially if there are no bids but I would have liked it to stay open as well - I was unsure of the value so would have liked to see the bidding war that would have ensued once the first bid was made.
