if the S9 cases work - i wonder how much it would be to just buy hashboards and controllers - without the existing case/psu - might be able to save some $ there.

at you 3 board idea (i only chose 4 to be even but you are most likely correct and it will be 3)

that would be around 37 th units at 1100 watts.  I would imagine those selling like hotcakes if the price is right. I have the idea but sadly not the capital to make it happen - hopefully someone will and make a profit from my idea lol hell, i might buy a few (maybe i can get a discount) lol.
7382  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: February 27, 2020, 07:45:51 PM
imagine that - if you could bulk order cases - hmm would old s9 cases work for two boards? maybe make use of the shells and the old psu's - take the old hash boards and use for the projects like the Terminus.r606 which uses S9 chips.

or just take the S19's apart - after all, they will most likely be two S9 shells combined right?
7383  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: February 27, 2020, 07:28:18 PM
they should have an option to buy the miners with the number of hash boards requested by the buyer - example, if it has 4 boards and runs at 110 th with 3300 watts - why not let the buyer specify 2 boards to get 55 th and use 1650 watts

I mean you could essentially buy them and do this yourself but that would get expensive to just remove half the hashboards unless you can get a second controller and a second case for relatively cheap.
7384  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Introduces the S19 and S19 Pro on: February 27, 2020, 06:55:40 PM
I really hate the 3k watts - until I build a new warehouse, the current one cannot handle 3k watt miners without a complete rewiring. I guess I will just have to hope for getting some of the T17/S17 variants for cheap.

and to think nearly 2 years ago to date, S9's were 2300 a piece and selling like hotcakes.
7385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to do with old Antminer S9 on: February 27, 2020, 02:09:16 PM
you could put them in lpm and put them on a bitcoin pps pool - might still make a few bucks

or put them to mining freecash - quite a few pools out there.

based on your website, it more appears that you are a drop shipper - we order from you and you order from Bitmain, we still have to pay the tariff and the main difference is that your price is 20%-30% higher than buying direct.

I see no advantage to the buyer in this arrangement.
7391  Other / Off-topic / Re: Building a Better Flashlight on: February 25, 2020, 04:13:15 AM
I'll take 2 but without any type of low mode or strobe. just full on zerobs High
7392  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Equihash Miner --> Antminer Z11 135K Sol/s on: February 25, 2020, 01:14:05 AM
all that and I dont see a price. and if it is direct from manufacturer - what is the benefit of buying from you vs buying direct?

That sounds uncomfortably like theft and my ethics don't allow for deceptions, profitable or otherwise.

oh for sure, i was not suggesting that you do that. I am just curious where over 10k went and it was a thought that maybe some cable company or installer might have bought them all to do such a thing, by no means do I recommend doing the same nor would I condone it.
7395  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: February 22, 2020, 05:23:56 AM
maybe a btc wifi router like the bitmain r3 was for ltc?

one day there was like 10k of the r3 in stock, I went to buy 10 and they were all sold out. makes me think a cable company bought them... imagine, they take it out of the antminer case, put it in a standard linksys case, pre-configure them and then provide to their customers...

1. charge them 9.95 for the wireless router
2. they mine ltc for the installer

speaking of ebay... someone on the forums here pointed me to a listing on ebay that is using my actual photos from here to sell something. makes me think they dont have the item of they have to use my photos.

That’s weird why would they post something that they don’t have when the payment goes through PayPal and if they don’t send anything then they don’t get the payment.

yea right? lol look at his eBay response (he did remove the listing) when I requested he not use my photo's.... idiot

Since some of us have updated our apollo to ltc nodes the node counts hasn't gone up much.  Not sure if site is bugged or our nodes are not synced to the network yet?

https://blockchair.com/litecoin/nodes

Anyone notice this?  Both of my miners have the node update.

mine does as well.

How is the GekkoScience Terminus R606 doing, how does it compare to the apollo, sound, and look on desk

Both are performing perfectly - the Apollo can be louder at times when the fan kicks up to a higher speed occasionally. Other than that, they are both pretty quiet.

As for looks, the Apollo overall is a cleaner looking miner but they both have quality appearances.
