I presume you want to change Btc-e fiat to goxbux? Keep in mind that if it crashes Btc-e may drop far lower than gox. Plus goxbux are not the best currency around, worse than fiat.
no, simpler: OKpay €

Go ahead then - have fun.

Wonderful to know that I am leading other trades by example, provided my trade decisions are multiplied by -1  Cheesy

No, you misunderstood. I didn't buy back in partly coz you did, and adamstingbit started yelling 'buy, buy'.
743  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2013, 10:02:04 PM
want to arb the hell out of BTCe, do you think the price will keep over 900 the next 60min?

Quite likely. There doesn't seem to be big movements - its dull as a ditch today.

Bid side of the order book on Bitstamp looks thin. I can't understand why the price stays up - nothing's supporting it. And that wall at 900 has been looming there for the whole day. Is someone waiting for funds so as to snatch almost 700 coins in front of the wall, before pulling it?

Didn't you buy in? Or have you sold again?

Sold at a small loss, didn't like being trapped against a wall.
Placed a few spread buy orders down into 700-s
It probably means the price will rally soon beyond 900.  Grin
Oh, and I cashed out all my initial investments in BTC and mining equipment, plus a small bonus on top of that. That felt incredibly good. I feel much calmer, and the nagging feeling of fear deep down is gone. It's purely for fun from now and onwards.

Dammit - why did you sell? I sold earlier (roughly similar to your initial sell point, but on Btc-e) and was wondering whether to buy when you bought. Now you had to go ahead and sell again and mess it all up Angry

IMO, just stick to your guns now. At this rate even if you make some profit trade at some point it will come to nothing.

Nice to hear you cashing out and enjoying. Far too many people in here are waiting for the big prize and missing out on all the benefits money could have them right now. There was this guy who cashed out millions, paid his mortgages and virtually retired.

Didn't see this posted on Reddit or these subforms, but seems India will be next: http://www.coindesk.com/indian-regulators-clamp-down-bitcoin/

China seems to have opened up the floodgates to nations speaking out against BTC.

I think we will have some turbulent weeks ahead (my prediction, not trying to spread fear/panic or anything), let's see how resilient Bitcoin is to all this.

Yeah, not happening.

Its election year in India, with the ruling party having suffered reverses in 4 state elections this week - Bitcoin is the lowest of low on the priorities; assuming the policy makers have even heard of it.
746  Economy / Speculation / Re: Max Keiser: Swiss considering BTC as foreign reserve + BTC $1700 Target on: December 09, 2013, 09:32:39 PM
The Swiss thing is positive enough for me to remove my sell orders for now.

Guess this will test whether news follows trends or the reverse.

Posted the swiss source...
It's a complete missunderstanding.

There was a HYPOTHETICAL question and the end... and some moron took it as a fact... that's really retarded journalism.

Lol - seriously; if this true why are people still following Keiser?

I mean he pumped quark - 'nuff said.
749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2013, 04:27:22 PM
like somebody already said> news follow price, not the other way around.

totally agreed

so ..on the 5th BTC is @ 1153. the news dropped that day or Wedneday morning and then we on Friday a whale dump happened.. are you saying that.. the whale saw that coming and were always planning to dump Friday.

The downtrend was there. The news caused a bigger crash.
750  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2013, 03:27:55 PM
i figure we can move higher off this bounce.

good stuff

bitcoin is looking strong!

adam has spoken. That means you gotta sell right now.
751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2013, 03:21:56 PM
People sell but the price goes up  Angry

Cmon did one mistake by selling yesterday, can we please go back to 800 for a second  Cheesy

if we did, you'd think "why buy now? It'll go lower"

Probably Cheesy

But really, I regret it so much (again) that I speculated (once again wrong) and sold, even though I tell my self I will hold forever.

I've been there. The worst type of sell is the "damn, i could have sold at the top but didnt, lets sell now and hope it goes down"

Did exactly the same in this recent crash... got shook out at the bottom thinking it had further to go, then frantically bought back in at a $150 loss. Think I'm just going to hold for ever until the moon or zero :/

You say that now ....

Btw, whats moon or 0? If it goes to $1m you may still be thinking it will go to $10m and end up holding.
752  Economy / Speculation / Re: Estimated inflection point ( from the last bubble ) on: December 09, 2013, 11:57:56 AM
you recon we are nearing the end of a second bump before the ultimate drop?

Market seems to have recovered the loss which brought it to 551 level. The current volumes are, as positive as they were on 3 rd December, when rates were around 965 USD/BTC.

Why are we talking of the 'ultimate drop'? Have I missed something?
753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 08, 2013, 11:12:04 PM
I also see a pennant forming right now, which from what I've learned of traditional TA should mean we go down more. But then again for all I know it could mean trend reversal in the world of bitcoin Cheesy

This bolded part was just a joke, but was it actually correct, or is this just a false breakout? Huh

Well, Wekkel 2 posts back capitulated. I say we wait for some more time to see if its a false breakout or not. Masterluc posted saying its a bearish pennant.

Anyways, if the doom and gloom sceneraio plays out we would all be laughing that we sold Grin
754  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy right now or wait? on: December 08, 2013, 09:32:37 PM
If you can afford it buy it now,you don't wanna be biting your fingers if BTC hit $1200 tomorrow

Not gonna happen, mate. At least that is something I am sure of.

I am waiting a few more days to get a clearer picture. Though the voice at the back of my head keeps saying its over for now.
755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 08, 2013, 07:17:39 PM
As another noob to TA I'd like to know as well.

I keep looking at this
https://www.tradingview.com/e/M1ZPd859/
and wondering what's wrong with it.

To me it says $3000 by Jan is too bullish but $3000 by July is too bearish.. Undecided
Interesting, thanks for posting

Looking at that chart and going from historical EW counts, couldn't it be argued that the summer 2012 event was too small/insignificant to be considered a wave 1, and thus the latest spike was of wave 3, meaning we will see yet another rally before everything goes to shit? Like so:

A noob's take on lucif's doomsday prediction, would really appreciate any input from the more experienced traders here

I have been thinking that too. Though I am not sure if I am seeing what I want to see. I found out about BTC during the April boom - don't want to be the guy who comes to the party while its at the end; still have dreams of becoming a millionaire Undecided
756  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy right now or wait? on: December 08, 2013, 07:10:07 PM
You couldn't have picked a worse time to ask. Its right in the balance now - next week will show if we are still bullish or have entered a bear market.

Personally I think we are on a long term downtrend. But even then I bought back the BTCs I sold before the crash with the extra fiat earned left for lower buys.
757  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 08, 2013, 03:38:25 PM
My point is that if you're following the trading advice of anyone on this forum , you'll get burned at least once ... per day Smiley.

Rpietila does some great posts that are good in theory and nice to read.
When it comes to action , I wouldn't trust this guy to handle my money.

By his own admission he bought in higher than he sold. And within 2-3 days the big crash happens.

Also add adamstingbit to the list.

758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Borrowed $1,000,000 (1 million dollars) from my dad to invest in BTC (serious) on: December 08, 2013, 03:35:59 PM
To the OP: not sure if mentioned already, but you should probably read the "inheritance of brother and sister" story from few weeks ago.

You got a link for that? Sounds interesting.

Some dude inherited around $750k (which was for both him and his siter). He lost most of it trading bitcoins. Don't have a link, sorry.

found it on reddit:
http://np.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1r88vl/need_advice_on_inheritance_arbitrage_family_etc/

He got carried away! Should have invested in 5-5% parts IMO.

Guess you need idiots like that to make the whales richer.

A part of me laughs at him, and another feels sorry.
759  Economy / Speculation / Re: India on: December 08, 2013, 03:16:50 PM
India will get into bitcoin!!! they work all over the middle east and need to send money home to there family,,, there is only one way to do this, western union!!!!! Bitcoin just needs to be introduced to them. Same as mexico,,, its not long my friends!

But you know , in order to get bitcoins in the middle east or mexico , you will need to go to a bank , or even worse , to WU. =))))))

... and once those Bitcoins are in India, they need to be sold off to get the money in the first place.

Amazing at the levels nerds are desperate to convince themselves people are ready to hand them over money and make them rich.
760  Economy / Speculation / Re: so glad i bought at 1000 on: December 08, 2013, 10:57:08 AM
dont feel bad, i sold 30,000 btc @ 140. patience is a virtue

Patience for?

Waiting to buy back at $100 or two digits?

Noone expected bitcoin to rise that high.
It was clever to sell @ 140$

You can't blame him. Most of us would have done the same with 30K Coins bought @ 0.01$ or mined.
The profit is huge. Don't let greed cloud your judgment or you will never realize a profit.

Where do you see the blame?

It was a curious question - thats all. He said patience is a virtue. I was wondering if it means he is waiting to buy back in lower.
