I assume the hardfork should be done within a few days to prevent the smart guy who actually understood the contract from enjoying his 3.5m ETH? If so, how is the voting going, or will the hardfork go ahead anyway? What a mess, should've just cut off DAO and bit the bullet and take that 3.5m loss. Other coins were stolen and survived - I remember BTER negotiating with the NXT hacker. I also came across this tweet (from Polo trollbox), which was apparently deleted: What is a reward attack anyway? Disclosure: I have been shorting ETH as they considered the hardfork (I can't support this, goes against the very ethos of what we stand here, IMHO). However, I would like to see a balanced discussion with facts here, especially as news have been very hard to come by.

It is at a billion dollar because thats what market feels. Currently crypto is only worth its speculative value, and if the market favours Ethereum then so be it. Personally, I didn't expect this and was shocked by the rise.

I still play that AoE series. Recently I downloaded a refurbished version of AoE2 which allows me to play on my Win 10 laptop. I also came across an yet another expansion for AoM (featuring China) so thats a part of my summer sorted.
I don't have the hardware to play the newer games. When I want to blow up friends I simply boot up UT.

I doubt if it was anything more than accidental. I watched the movie and didn't notice it. Still, go an watch it if you can, it is a fantastic and refreshing movie - but only if you're an adult.

It's so easy to say 'ditch it', and it will certainly cure a lot of ills. But it's not going to happen, so the best we can do is to try and bring out the positive side of it.
I have good friends who are deeply religious and exceptionally good people. If those were the only type we wouldn't have a problem, but sadly the amount of bigotry which goes with most religious people is frustrating.

I am still with Windows 7, thank you very much. I have seen Win 8 and its over complicated for no reason and I doubt Win 10 is much better.
I had installed Win 7 in my laptop in late 2010, and it has been working solidly ever since. There is absolutely no reason to get rid of this tried and tested base for my laptop.

I love bikes and learnt it much before I got to cars, but ironically I still don't have a 2 wheeler license.
Unlike most I actually prefer a light bike. Mine is currently one with a 125 cc engine.

Binged Jessica Jones. It had a slow start but picked up, and there were certainly a lot of side plots which were not needed.
I didn't expect it to be as good as Daredevil, but I still had decent hopes. I think my main problem has to do with the uncharismatic lead.

All the money is now pumping into BTC. Once the rise slows down the whales start itching and start plating with altcoins. You can try and benefit from it if you're willing to risk it, but the only winners are the whales.

Its just market - enjoy the roller coaster. It will recover soon enough, that what whales do.
Personally I have stopped accumulating since Dan dreamed up his hare brained Brownie scheme, and it has been a lot better simply short term trading to make profit.

Didn't it occur to you that maybe no one's interested in NXT despite all the "good news"? No offense, but how else can you explain it? Maybe the people behind NXT needs to do a better job to get the word out. And by word out I mean not here in this forum.
Its not a simple matter of getting the word out. Maybe this token is of not much real use inspite of all the features being added. The NXT community on Bitcointalk is a funny one. They have one attack dog who keeps barking at others, and a bunch of other supporters who pretend to be fair minded and open but all they do is make snide comments when given the chance. They had one sound guy, named something like Dameleon but he is not visible now.

It does seem a very risky move with the release being only 2 weeks away. regardless of what anyone might think about BTS, short term there is going to be a pump.
If I read it correctly this cagara person needs the price to drop to 0.000022 BTC which I think is too optimistic, especially now that everyone knows the level.

I like this, much more refreshing stance than the usual 'my coin goes to the moon your coin sucks' attitude we have here. Not saying I am not guilty of that particular flaw either

“Therefore, rejoice, heaven and you who live there! But woe to you, land and sea, for the adversary has come down to you, and he is very angry, because he knows that his time is short!”
Must be tough to be a troll knowing that you have so little time left before 2.0 appears. I notice trolls are coming out of the woodwork in these last days like insects from a burning log. Stan, you shouldn't really start tarring every dissenting voice with the troll brush. I know its tough to post here with DE's inane ramblings (who probably should try and prop up his beloved coin), but there are a lot of 'investors' who are aggrieved because of one reason or the other. The testnet was working decently enough and I see that BM has now shifted to 5 sec blocks which to me is a positive step. While '1 sec blocks' makes for a nice slogan, I wonder how necessary it is. 10 seconds was good enough for me and 5 sec should do the job. I would rather that BM makes a small blockchain which I can download and run a full node rather than rely in a light wallet.

i like nxt...it seems technically impressive.
the uh....slightly dogey circumstances of release were an issue
....i feel you should hold some nxt.
i like peercoin, the best of alts....i think.
In what way do you consider the release to be slightly dodgy? If anything it's one of the fairest PoS releases in the post-PPCoin/Peercoin era. From what I understand it was 2 months, publicly announced, full disclosure, open to everyone ect. What else could you want? The initial distribution was one of the worst possible, but at this point it is irrelevant. As it turns out having most coins in the hands of a few made the high price possible. I am surprised to see it going nowhere looking from the outside, I think the main issue is that you have a closed group who backslap each other creating an echo chamber. This issue affects Bitshares too and I hope to avoid it.
