481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: June 01, 2014, 12:52:49 PM
So what does the analysis say now?

Is the the multi year bear market scenario forecasted by masterluc still valid?
482  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much bitcoin are you sitting on? [Anonymous Poll] on: June 01, 2014, 12:46:20 PM
Single digit, mate.

Might get in double digits if a couple of investments work out. Would have been much richer now if I was was smarter.
483  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm in love! on: June 01, 2014, 12:40:00 PM
Ok ok ok!
I might be a little more drunk!

But I meet another girl tonight at my friend weeding!
She is his cousin!

Should I wait until morning to see how the thing with the 18 goes or should I go with the flow and try to get her?

Help me as I'm in a very strange situation with my feelings!

I just think you just need to bang someone regularly, and all your magical feelings will get sorted out. So just get the one who is most easy to get into bed and enjoy Cheesy
484  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best energy drink on: June 01, 2014, 12:37:42 PM
i have never drunk an energy drink.
i don't know how it feels after taking it..
do it really gives energy???

Mostly just caffeine and sugar which gets you pumped up in the short term.

I just eat bananas when I need an instant boost.
485  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: June 01, 2014, 12:36:38 PM
I use Firefox, don't really trust google to use Chrome.

The default Interent Explorer is still there for gmail use.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] PhenixEx Notice on: June 01, 2014, 12:29:47 PM

Stole from me too.

It was such a smart scam. I have a feeling that maybe even Joerii was involved and pretended to be on our side.

Trust me Jeorii is no scammer. He is a nice guy and still active on this forum.

Well, hope so. But he was about have some legal recourse, what happened to that?

What happened is that we all tried to trace those two scammers and the Legal resources Jeorii was talking about were found to be fake.

JohnCar's credentials were faked too?

What do you mean by 'we'? Did you personally try anything?
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Proof of Stake System is the Most Viable on: June 01, 2014, 12:29:07 PM
All PoS coins are backed up misinformation, hiding facts and trolls.

Unlike bitcoin which clearly states all the attack vectors and problems on the wiki. I would prefer fiat than current PoS coins.

If you must choose one choose the one with most trolls and hype.

Just stating attack vectors without any solution is hardly useful. How would you solve the problem of Bitcoin being controlled by 10 or so miners?
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Proof of Stake System is the Most Viable on: June 01, 2014, 12:27:33 PM
Would somebody be so kind as to explain to me what the difference is between Transparent Forging and DPoS?

Very little difference. DPOS puts a hard cap on the amount of stake that can be delegated to an address, and you can also delegate your stake *against* an address.

IMO, the hard cap is very important which others doesn't seem to find a key feature. I would pick DPoS over Transparent Forging just because of that.

Wonder if it is at all possible to modify the Transparent Forging scheme to implement a limit.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: June 01, 2014, 12:23:33 PM
Pools defeat the very purpose and will end up centralising it badly. Keep your coins with yourselves.

They will serve another purpose.

Such as?

There's no point in mining a proof-of-ownership coin such as this one, pools offer no advantage at all, while it bears the same high risk it has for other coins.

Anyone claiming pools are good for NXT is either trying to scam you, or is completely clueless.

Purpose is the same as PoW pools, you are more likely to earn something. But the existing centralising problem in Bitcoin carries over.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RESURRECTION] Bringing Life to Growthcoin (GRW) , Community Backed Development! on: June 01, 2014, 12:21:44 PM
Believing that the dev is long gone and believing he'd ever return to release an update might have lost interest or has bigger projects to attend to and believe it was high time long time ago he did, yup everyone who's interested on GRW will need to update since already the network is stalled by the previous client , no mining , no sending or receiving , no confirmation of blocks , we've done some code updates to prevent negative Retargets in the future as per suggested almightyruler , he is credited for the same as well as getting mining fixed temporarily earlier and suggested and also predicted that the network will stall again if a proper update is not released as well as adopted.

New Wallet (Updated to version 1.2.1)
*Checkpoints Added
*Negative Retarget Fixed (courtesy of almightyruler)
*version Updates Posted
*Community Backed Development Announced

So all in all everyone who has GRW or is interested in the crypto , traders and everyone who has GRW on their wallets who were unable to anything before and wants to trade now will need to update.

Is it the same Growthcoin or is a new launch which honours the existing balances?

Hi, yes it's the same growthcoin, exisiting balances is still valid Smiley

Oh, good.

Will also get some stakes now Smiley

why the test website is invalid now?

Hi guys,

We are moving to a new domain and setting everything up http://testnet.xbet.io

More surprises are coming.

Looks nice Smiley

You have to start promoting it aggressively.

496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SC] Why Crypto's road is paved with SILK on: May 31, 2014, 11:03:37 AM
So apart from the name, and the nice wallet (Not taking away from the work thats gone into that). What is different about this coin that will help it last and grow?? Surely its more than a name and wallet??

I'm asking because i'm interested and not just trolling.

Frankly look at Litecoin and ask what it has over other Scrypt clones; it isn't much.
SilkCoin is bringing much more than Litecoin.

Thats why Litecoin is going down and will die.

Bitcoin is here because of first mover advantage. Unless there is something really interesting and useful I won't bet on it.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SC] Why Crypto's road is paved with SILK on: May 31, 2014, 11:02:26 AM
Welcome all to Silkcoin! the next step in crypto currency, rumor has it that when Silkcoin launched, Doge started whimpering, Litecoin went Dark and feathercoin suddenly felt very heavy.

Rumour? You mean the one made up by you?
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Proof of Stake System is the Most Viable on: May 31, 2014, 11:00:46 AM
DPOS and NXT are practically identical, the only difference is which mechanism is used to pick block producers (both are essentially by stake-vote)

In NXT you can also form forging pools and may lead to Bitcoin style problems.
The forging pools with nxt equal the delegates in dpos. This is what makes them equal.

Not necessarily. The problem in Bitcoin pools is that they are not limited, and the same problem exists with pooled forging.

With DPoS, there is a limit to how much votes each can collect, and any delegate can not dominate; at least openly.

If GHASH split into 3 pools with the same combined hashing power but owned and operated by the same entity would that make Bitcoin more decentralized?

Difference is the limit is hardcoded in DPoS protocol. While the pools are free to get anything.

We get it, you're a bagholder of curecoin...

Actually I don't have nearly as big of a stake as I do in other currencies.

Lets hope it works out for you. But I don't see any economic basis for it to be rewarding.
