When trying to run deeponiond got the following error:

Quote

System: Linux pc 4.2.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.2.6-3 (2015-12-06) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Any suggestions?
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeepOnion First Airdrop on: July 21, 2017, 09:59:09 AM
Have you received your coins for the 1st of 40 (1/40) airdrops?
I've received mine.

I received 788.34 coins. A nice amount to hold.
In the future airdrops probably more and more people will join. Less coins to get?

How many have you received and what are your plans?

It's not an airdrop, it's a signature campaign...

Is that a bad thing? It requires some PoP (proof of presence/posting) to get coins. You can also use its 2nd method, X13 PoW mining.

Isn't that a cool way to distribute Deepnet coins?

Not saying it's a bad thing, I participate in signature campaigns since 2013, but usually people don't call it 'airdrop'...

744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fate of Litecoin on: July 21, 2017, 08:50:10 AM
According to the research, "Litecoin was announced in 2011 with the goal of being the 'silver' to bitcoin's 'gold'. At the time of writing, Litecoin  has the highest market cap of any mined cryptocurrency, after bitcoin." Definitely, the currency will be viable for the next decades since its convertible to BTC and current currency, yet in different forms.

This ^

Since its inception litecoin was 'just a bitcoin clone', however still here, still strong, with SegWit active in bitcoin and litecoin I believe it makes the two even more valuable.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BURST hacked/forked on: July 20, 2017, 05:11:35 PM
The whole BURST network is under critical attack. Allready forked into 8 different chains. The whole situation is one big mess... anyone up to date what's going on?

Why doesn't the price reflect that?

What's your source?

If you run a node you will now need 4 times more storage space, can you afford it ?
Among all the stupid reasons to be against bigblocks, this has got to be the stupidest.

Then why are so few people running a full node ?

There are also bandwidth consideration. I have more than 250TB of storage space at home, but limited bandwidth. My Bitcoin Core wallet has crashed for some reason (PC is extremely stable, with ECC memory) and it doesn't manage to recover. It took me weeks to download the blockchain, I'm not ready to do it again.

I wouldn't consider almost 100,000 full nodes 'few people'...

And the price is now under ICO, maybe investors will be afraid to invest if it is like this, the average project now gives the cheap price to the trader, and gives the expensive price to the investor, what is there mind you dev

ICO sell price: $0,10

Current average price: $0,16
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: July 20, 2017, 02:11:37 PM
Are there any news about the remaining coins that might or might not be burned?

yes they had announced 2-3 months before that burning would happen, but they never shared any more details because they told that they don't want to ruin the surprise Smiley

And a bit off-topic,
Can anyone here clear the fuss going around bitcoin, i mean i just thought that split won't happen by looking at some news, is this right?

If we want to gossip, I think the burn will happen after the Launch, maybe in September, it would be a great timing.

A smooth launch + burning the coin = 200,000 satoshi price  Grin

200,000 satoshi is a bit less, my target is at 400,000 satoshi or $10 within 2 months  Grin Cool

From $20 million to $800 million mcap in 3 months?

Delusional much?
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin - Scam or not ? on: July 20, 2017, 02:06:14 PM
How to identify whether an altcoin is scam or not?
This happened with me today. I bought ACRN coin from yobit yesterday for 0.01btc and today morning its price was 1 satoshi Undecided Doomed!!

Pretty sure this 'coin' can be called a scam, I don't understant how it got listed in that exchange.

Only mention of this is by Yobit twitter account:

751  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Making a living from signature campaigns, is it possible? on: July 20, 2017, 01:20:46 PM
A lot of people here participate in signature campaigns but is it possible to make a living from doing it?

Sure you can, at least for now, don't believe one can make a career out of it. Cheesy

With a few legendary accounts and being really active and quality posting, not shitposting, one can make a couple thousand per month.
752  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can one make 50k satoshi per day? on: July 19, 2017, 04:53:24 PM
That's like $35/month at current rate, if you don't have this kind of money, I don't understand how you live...
This can look like nothing in a country like the USA, but in many 3rd world country, this amount can be an extra considering OP is looking to earn that amount by only using the internet.

And of course it's not a quantity that you can only live with. But I bet that OP is a teenager who wants to earn a little bit of cash just by using the internet to buy stuff online, games or something like that. I once earned $10 in one day a few years ago just by doing a quick method on an online forum and was excited for making it possible without doing any "real life" work.

Depositing 4.7BTC will earn 50,000 satoshi per day via the interest we pay.

-snip-

Come join us!
I don't think OP has $10k just laying around to "invest" on your FreeBitcoin considering that he is asking for a way to earn $1 per day.

Even if 3rd world country, he needs internet connection, a computer, electricity...

$35 still a very low amount.

You can make way more than that with giveaways and small tasks in these boards alone.

How can one make 50k satoshis a day ?
Is it easy?
Can you earn this much from faucets?
If you can,  tell us how you can do it Smiley

754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: August 1 on: July 19, 2017, 02:56:17 PM
I mostly hold Ethereum and Bitcoin. I also hold some altcoins. All of my coins have gone up in value and I still have all of them because I like to hold them like that.

LOL, didn't you 'transfered' all your Bitcoin to Monero?

You're lying or REKT.

But don't worry, Monero is solid, eventually you'll get your money back and then some.
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CVC] CIVIC Tokensale Successfully Completed on: July 19, 2017, 02:46:29 PM
another dead coin after ico ended ?

LOL, wat?!
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will you sell your BitcoinABC or hold on to it? on: July 19, 2017, 02:45:22 PM
Hold onto it! BitcoinABC known as Bitcoin Cash IS Satoshi's vision to me. It is the real bitcoin I signed up for.

http://www.bitcoincash.org

It's the "real" bitcoin and Satoshi's vision.

Was it Satoshis vision for Bitcoin to be centralised by only people who can afford ridiculous hardware to run nodes on?

These people such as Mcafee, Wright, Ver? All trustworthy folk  Grin

If you run a node you will now need 4 times more storage space, can you afford it ?

It won't because nobody will use it, less space needed than original Bitcoin.  Cheesy
757  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning: Mistertango Bank/Exchange on: July 19, 2017, 02:07:58 PM
@tk1900 - As I said I always provided the proof. I asked before what I needed to provide and I sent them what they asked for, they even confirmed to me in writing that it was sufficient. They stated (again, in writing) that as long as the money comes from the same account, I only need to provide proof the first time. Even if this wasn't the case I would still have been able to provide proof each and every time. But the last time they just didn't even give me an option to provide proof but just closed my account.

It happens, your account is deemed too risky, not worth keeping.

Why don't you transfer directly to Kraken?
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will you sell your BitcoinABC or hold on to it? on: July 19, 2017, 01:59:50 PM
It would be interesting if they actually fork, although, I don't believe they'll do it, most likely scenario if they do it is they lose a lot of money because nobody will use their chain.

BTW, who's developing BitcoinABC?
759  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning: Mistertango Bank/Exchange on: July 18, 2017, 05:26:25 PM
Just provide the information they need and it's done.

If they continue to hold your money you should press charges to proper authorities or even sue them.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Been holding for the last month and half and then... on: July 18, 2017, 05:16:09 PM
Buy high, sell low.

That lesson was a bit expensive, if you aren't going to study and watch the market for quite some time, don't try to day trade, just HODL, otherwise you'll get REKT.
