Finally meme-worthy

742  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to get bitcoins for free? on: November 27, 2022, 05:14:07 AM

Maybe if we know and lived at that time we can get rich if still keep it in a wallet or maybe if the user forgot the password, can he claim that 5 btc?
but I think it's impossible to happen again, except when entering a new token.

5 BTC for that time is see work where have to washing the time, especially to resolve captcha because at that time I was busy playing Paid for clicking ads (where I Get Paid from $0.5 per Click) where i receive money to my PayPal,
maybe I ever seen that faucet, but still not interesting because don't have value(money) at that time. So if we are regret, I believe 100% people here regret to come back again on that time.

Nah, the site is already long gone. Whoever that didn't withdraw before it shut down lost their balance.

Copper membership costs as little as that?

Yeah. You can check the membership page @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

Oh goodness me, you have a dirty mind  Grin

🤭

He was able to get across to me and I believe to others also because of his copper member status, and not as a newbie. It shows that restriction on pms does not work against copper membership.

Oh, that figures. At least he's down 30 bucks.

Faucets are like the OG.

Adding to what Omega said, back in the days when BTC was still in its infancy, they used to dispense large amounts which meant big banks if you held on them and never sold.

Now realistically, it's not always about earning Bitcoin, rather using fiat to buy Bitcoin. Both concepts are the same because Bitcoin is measured by its fiat value. Using the faucet example, the values per claim have mainly been in cents but BTC was only valued in cents as well. Now you'd only get like single-digit satoshis and a bunch of ads right in your face. And those courses from exchanges like Binance that give free crypto seldom teach on moving your funds to a cold wallet. If they get hacked one day, the cryptos you supposedly earn become mere numbers.

For instance, if you were to complete a job that pays $20 in Bitcoin, at the current rate of $16,550, that's ~0.0012 BTC. Some fees are lost over conversion and network/ blockchain but they're like mere cents to a few dollars at most.
747  Economy / Lending / Re: Can anyone help with 0.5 btc until January 15'th on: November 25, 2022, 01:59:53 PM
OP, normally for loan requests, you need to provide a valid liquid collateral, such as an altcoin.

Due to the number of scams, lenders here won't simply grant one to any Tom, Dick and Harry without some sort of assurance.

My 2 cents.
748  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the Bitcoin casinos with first deposit bonuses? on: November 25, 2022, 01:48:07 PM
To be honest, I have been studying crypto casinos for several months but I am still relatively new to betting only a few weeks.
there are two gambling sites that I follow but there is no bonus on the first deposit.

Please tell me is there a crypto casino site that gives a bonus on the first deposit and on which site?

There are plenty, and someone did post the compilation here. Below is the link:

749  Other / Meta / Re: What’s wrong with Gambling Discussion board on: November 25, 2022, 01:42:35 PM
I made a topic(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5422966.msg61341892#msg61341892) yesterday about asking help to find alternative way on my current method of dodging high withdrawal fee for Bitcoin on exchange using casino. I know how complicated is this if you are not aware or didn’t know the actual experience so I understand if there will be a lot of clarification post but instead I keep receiving a general or repetitive post that is not answering directly the main question.

I’m just so upset that if this post is made on other board. The normal response should be ignore the thread if you don’t know the answer but the response is different on the gambling discussion board. Out of bunch replies, Only less than 5 people actually understand the content and answer on topic while the rest is just really not helpful.  Embarrassed

Self moderated topic is a must in there.

Welcome to Bitcointalk, whereby over 50% of the responses on almost every thread are just repeating the same thing(s) over and over for the weekly quota. You'll get used to it, not just on the Gambling Discussions subforum.

But just to give you an advice, you might want to avoid converting cryptos through casinos. After all like you said, you'd have to wager the deposits and you might not be so lucky to keep your balance intact once the losses start kicking in.

If you wanna take advantage of the markets, keep the coins in a cold/ hardware wallet. Only gamble with the funds you can afford to lose.
750  Economy / Gambling / Re: STAKE SCAMMED $100K AND NOT REPLYING EMAILS FOR 6 MONTHS on: November 25, 2022, 12:59:21 PM
From the dispute thread, Stake claimed you registered multiple accounts with them.

Quote from: Stake
Dear Askgambler,

We have already sent information to your e-mail proving the multiple accounts. Would you kindly confirm that you have received our e-ail with the evidence?

Best,
Stake

Let's see what AG responds. If it's all false, Stake's score will take a (small) hit.

At first glance, I read it as SCROTUM

On a side note, do newbies have limitations to sending PM? Perhaps the site could restrict it to like, 3 daily.
752  Other / Meta / Re: Disable links for new accounts on: November 25, 2022, 12:50:10 PM
We are already too harsh to newbies/jr members. Putting more restrictions will suck it more.

The problem is that there are victims that fall scam to those fake drivers/ updates. Perhaps disable it in certain subforums?

Seen it happened to a few, especially on the mining boards.
753  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the Bitcoin casinos with first deposit bonuses? on: November 25, 2022, 07:08:58 AM

Its part of their marketing strategy that they can gain more number of players because of this event or feature most likely the new casino has really lot of events to get caught attention with their new players and after with that they will no make a fewer events and of course it's bring all the service as they can to their users so they keep playing on their platform.

If the player read those TOR and FaQ they don't have need to problem in the future most likely having tons of rewards and bonuses and make a win sometimes getting trouble because they want to instantly withdraw their funds.

I'm glad that I have stayed long enough on the internet for any casino to lure me into doing what I don't want to do. Mostly, bonuses and any other incentives are not in the favour of the gamblers, so I do not let this affect my choice of casinos. I have not allowed the baits of a casino to affect me till today because I don't even opt for the bonus options. I bet with the little amount I have and I am always satisfied because I do it for fun, not for the money, which makes it easier for me to go for my choice without being tempted.

Correct. If everyone were to unlock the deposit bonuses with ease, casinos are gonna have a hard time managing their cash flow. What more with bots.

Faucets are the same as well. Give you bits of coins to try things out, but you gotta wager a shitton if you want to cash out them free monies.

I have been looking at different casinos offering first time/welcome deposit bonuses, and currently the best offer I have seen is a x40 wagering requirement with a time limit of up to 30 days. That's not achievable. If I wanted to deposit $50.00, to get the 100% welcome bonus, I need to roll my deposit and wager a total of $2,000. ANYONE will lose the deposit of $50.00 in one week. Hahaha.

Imagine I lost my welcome bonus within 10 minutes in the very own casino I promote :p

But honestly speaking, the bonuses are meant to be "taken back" most of the time. Don't feel bad because that's totally expected and the short timeframe causes us players to make rash decisions.

For instance, the welcome bonuses from 500 Casino might not be the best for everyone, but we balance them out through events, giveaways, promotions and dedicated customer support (e.g. VIPs have their birthday bonuses). The WB is just the front door, but ultimately players' overall experience is what keeps them returning.

755  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the Bitcoin casinos with first deposit bonuses? on: November 23, 2022, 12:52:51 PM
I want everyone's opinion for this question. Can those bonuses that are truly just "baits" can also be called "scams"?

Casinos can choose not to give you anything. After all, it's paid entertainment.

But some might seem more bait-y especially if they force you to wager on the requirements first. On the other hand, some have no-sticky ones so you're free to wager whenever you feel like it

We have less than 1 week (just 5 days) to bet on November crypto prices. Do you think it makes sense this month, as we had 'extraordinary situation' with a dump?
At least FUN token has price $0.0066 and it seems it will unlikely leave range $0.005001 - $0.0075 so it seems it is (almost) sure bet. With odds 1.23 it is better than nothing.

I just went in with that range. Doubt there's gonna be anything huge (bull) after the FTX fiasco by the end of the month.

I tried hard refresh (ctrl + F5) as well as clicking on the link again.
Matter of fact I tried on a different device as well. As in my mobile as well as my laptop.
Its weird since the issue is only for me. Tried different captchas on different sites and all are working fine except for the WoF.

Strange indeed... have you tried it on mobile data as well?
760  Other / Meta / Re: Not Your Keys Not your Coins Banner Needed Everywhere? on: November 18, 2022, 04:13:05 PM
Sometimes people have to take the L to learn their lesson. No matter how many times the banner gets shown even as a popup, there are those that can't resist the APR or free money by parking their funds at a website they deem "safe".

I was one of those people. The motto never etched in my mindset until that one incident that hit me like a truck, albeit I didn't deposit my entire BTC there. Now my BTC goes straight into the Ledger.
